Serious? This is such a coward enabler. I have arachnophobia. I'm utterly scared of spiders, but that's life. I also have thalassophobia. Are they gonna put a toggle to have a waterless version of Vashj'ir? That's a joke, Blizz. Don't do it. Let people confront their fears.
Does it come with a juice box and a coloring book?
Gotta please the babies.
Once again, the amount of people complaining about something that is purely to help other people...is astounding. If you hate WoW SO MUCH that you have to complain about an optional feature just for those with a phobia...maybe WoW isn't the game for you. If it inspires nothing but rage, even when it's going out of its way to make players comfortable in an expac focused highly on the focus of their phobia...this is not the game for you. Go play something that sparks joy, and not hatred - go play something that, when they release news of something harmless and helpful, you don't immediately rush to complain...you rush to celebrate, and cheer instead. Sincerely, it's not healthy to continue engaging in something that only stresses you out and upsets you, even when it's doing something purely to help people who are crippled by a phobia. I may not have a phobia of spiders, but I have a phobia of needles - and I faint when I get shots. All I can do is work on meditative practices and breathing techniques, but I ultimately have no control over the physical response I have to my phobia, and the irrational, blind panic that it induces in me. I imagine it's much the same for people scared of spiders! No one WANTS to be so scared of something that they go int oa blind, animal panic and effectively lose control while exposed to that stimuluse - and there would be no way to play this coming xpac, for those people, without something like this. And with how many spiders there are in WoW in general? There are no doubt many more people who will play now that haven't before, because there was no way to avoid exposure to something that made them have a panic attack, before. If all you can do is hate on something, even when they do good? Move on. Be happy. Enjoy something else! Don't dwell in hate just to rain on everyone else's parade.
Seeing people calling those with a phobia 'cowards' or 'babies' is also wild. It's not like one chooses this response. Sincerely unwell behavior to harass someone for something beyond their control. A panic attack isn't something I'd wish on anyone, but I guess these people have never felt like they're going to die, had their heart racing so fast they felt like they were having a heart attack, woke up blind with panic and nausea and heart pain in the middle of the night from a panic attack...yeah, it's not something you ask for, or that makes you a 'baby'. It's beyond control. But yikes, this comment section
Deads = NecrophobiaInsects = EntomophobiaHeights = AcrophobiaGhosts = PhasmophobiaJust to name a few. I guess we gonna have to finally shutdown WoW itself!
You encourage the weakness of humanity. I've noticed one thing about people with these phobias- they make it a big part of their personality. I don't think these people actually have any phobia, they just like being unique even if it makes no sense.
Ah yes development time is being spent on this! Lovely :)Catering to the 0.00001%
Oh good lord...
Sounds good to me.
I'm actually afraid of Humans; can I get a similar fix?
Would be great if an option for roaches to change into cakes existed. Correction, slices of cake.
What about Kabourphobia ?
crab people
I have lootophobia, which is a fear of low drop chances. Can you please add a setting to increase all drop chances to 100%? Thanks!P.S. I'm not bashing people with actual phobias, but this opens a whole can of worms. What about other phobias as others have mentioned? Where is the line drawn?
