This is great but nothing will beat the audio dramas D:
Since when have Kor'krons been around again?Simply putting them back in to give the Horde no story in the game is lazy...
The continued Alliance/Horde fighting is so stupid dude. These people can't write politics. Why would the Alliance win the warfront but immediately hand half of it over to the Mag'har (because uwu Nagrand) with NO conditions to stop another war?If anyone should still be fighting it would be Night Elves and Forsaken off somewhere but we can't have that.
Man, the illustrations give some unusual vibes. I will miss Samwise and Wei Wang.
It's a good story. I wanted two highlight a pro and a con for me.1. It furthers the world. I've always enjoyed it when the world keeps moving and feeling alive. To find out what's happening in a place, once the Hero of Azeroth has left it behind. While Cata made the mistake of making the old content unavailable, seeing the follow-up itself was one of the highlights in the updated zones. In the last decade though, Blizzard has felt almost obsessed, to make the lore situation of every zone, match the familiar situation as seen in the game. The first Explorer book even goes out of its way to make things seem barely changed since vanilla. I welcome new events and lore that updates familiar peoples and places.2. I do not enjoy faction war. But I do love the Horde and Alliance. And it feels like Blizzard has them intertwined in their brains. (And as such, do many of the faction fans). But the faction war was not the point of Warcraft 3. And there was no war in Vanilla, TBC and Wrath. And yet they had no problems giving us a strong faction feeling. These factions have feeling, aesthetic, philosophies, cultural aspects, priorities and goals that give them a distinct and powerful personality. And it feels like lately, we only get to see it when they are squaring off against each other, such as in this story. I love faction stuff! I love the Horde. But the Horde can still be the Horde in a time of peace. The Alliance can still be the Alliance when fighting a war against something else than the Horde. Let there be war. And give us two perspectives and strategies to wage it. Let us love our factions again, and carry our banners into battle, shouting their name, against a foe we each have our own reasons to fight. Not Horde vs Alliance. Not Horde with Alliance. Horde and Alliance.
So the horde lost another war, yet somehow the arathi have to let them stay on their lands, and are vilified for not being happy about it while they starve? And somehow the horde have more bodies there than the actual people of the land? Bro no, Marran was right to think the way she did (though maybe dont tranquilize jaina), and the fact Geyrah, who was happy to slaugther everyone, is the level headed of the 2 is just icing on the stupid cake....Like what was the point of the warfront, and the progression of the lore, if blizzard was going to undo it for the horde again.
Kerathras and Drakknfyre would rather have WoW be FF14 than let it be WoW.
