The named mobs you have to kill are in the middle of each camp. You cannot snare/stun/root them so it makes it hard to solo. After you kill the named you use the key they drop at the Fel Cannon in the middle of the camp.

Although I was able to solo both demons at each camp, my movement speed was slightly faster than theirs with minor speed enchanted on my boots. I had to kite them all the way to Zangarmarsh but I did it :P

They have no ranged attack. I can imagine a Hunter or Warlock soloing these, possibly even a Priest. It was tough for me as a Mage, I had some help at the end when people saw me kiting the demon in Zangarmarsh they started shooting it.

Did this with a 66 mage, and me being a 66 Lock, did as other comments said, enslaved the Felguard, and railed the demon located in the middle.

You really need a group for this and if possible grab a lock. Enslave the felguard helps a lot, if you get a good dps group the felguard can tank the named guy with no problems.
On the north camp its a red big guy, you kill him grab the key and use it right away (the canon is right next to him).
On the south camp its a huge kinda dragon thingy. Kill it and use the key right next on the cannon.
Easy chain with very good xp and money.

Soloable by hunters, warlocks, mages, druids and maybe even others. All you have to do is them with an instant cast long ranged spell once in a while to keep them leashed and kite them to Garadar. The guards will do the rest.

Mages use ice lance, druids moonfire, and so forth. Just make sure to conserve some mana as it's a fairly long way between the camps and Garadar.

66 mage (44/17/0) and 66 rogue did it alone (I was the mage). Just kited them with Ice Lance and Fire Blast while the Rogue sliced them to bits. Use mana gems, potions, and quick Evocations to keep your mana up. Any class with an instant cast ranged attack can kite them easily.

Just soloed this entire questchain as a mage. :x This part was by far the hardest, as all the other elites were affected by chill effects.

The key to this quest is simply to kite. Open with a frostbolt/fireball/whatever from as far away as possible. They ain't faster than you, with or without minor speed increase. I'd say they're about 1-2% slower, so they won't catch up with you as long as you don't stop.

Use Ice Lance to kite with, have two managems up incase you run out of mana (the cooldown will disappear, kiting takes ages.) I kited both the overseers to Garandar, through the gap/cliff just north of Halaa. Pretty easy tbh, although it required some time. Just don't let those overseers get close, they can two-three-shot you.

Soloed as a 66 hunter. Didn't think to pull them to Garandar, I just ran em in circles around the two small lakes/ponds to the south of each encampment. With Cheetah on, you can easily outrun em and get far enough in front of them to be able to stop, fire off a few shots, and run off again. Start off with aimed/distract and keep your pet on passive until you've done a lap around the lake to ensure your pet doesn't steal agro off you.

Far, far easier then finding a group for it.

Pretty easy one to solo for a druid. Get some super mana potions, about 5 will be enough if you don't have too much mana. I used rank 11 Moonfire for this, but 10 or 9 should be ok as well. Ok, into the strategy:

I pulled the overseers with a Starfire, then followed it up with a Moonfire. Then I started walking towards Garadar, hitting Moonfire when the DoT had expired (be sure to do this, otherwise he'll lose interest in you). If you have low mana (I only had about 3500), you'll probably need to use 2 mana potions while kiting him. Be sure to use the potion first. While the pot's cooldown is up, use innervate, and then if you still need more mana, you'll likely have another pot to use.

When I was at Garadar, the overseer's HP was at about 80%. Then I ran to the inn, and ran around it while MF spamming the overseer, while the guards took care of him.

Be sure to either keep the aggro, or once a guard gets aggro, shift into cat form and nuke the hell out of him. You'll want to do as much damage as possible, otherwise you won't get the loot.

After you've kited both of the overseers, chance's are good that they've respawned next to the cannons. No problems, just kite them a few hundred meters (or yards, if that floats yer boat) then when you're a good distance away from the camp, shift to travel form and run away from him, till you lose aggro and he starts running back. Since they're so slow, it should be no problem mounting up and riding to the cannon. Then just click the key in your bag and you're done :)

EDIT: As has been said, any class with an instant cast spell will most likely be able to use this strategy.

If you can solo these guys, then I applaud you. However, it took a prot spec Tauren warrior (lvl 67), Tauren hunter (lvl 67), Warlock (lvl 70) and me, a shadow priest (lvl 67) playing the healing role. They did not drop quickly.

Let the warrior get the agro first because he crited me several times for 2500-2800 damage on cloth.

These are quite easy to kite as previously mentioned. Solo'ed as a lvl 70 affliction warlock, I just pulled and made sure all insta-dots were constantly on them and spun and fired shadowbolts when nightfall procc'ed. I had to run a ways with the kites but took virtually zero damage. Run back quick to use the guns on the camps! If the overlord has respawned like they did for me, send in big blue, use the key on the gun and run.

this is very easy as a warlock. All you have to do is keep enslaving all the elite demons in the area and throw them at him. I have also found that the The Master Planner has loads of hp so i used him first, then the legionares for there dps.

If you are looking to enslave the demons in that area then you will need to be about 66-67 or they wil break within 10 seconds and kick your ass

Soloed this whole quest line as a 66 affliction lock, the last 2 demons are probably one of the easiest, if not the easiest part, they are insanely slow so when your enslaved felguard dies you can just DoT kite them to death

SOLOed as a 66 druid, although you could be any level eligible as long as you are feral specced. Basically stealth up to each elite and if you have talent into the 15%/30% movement (I only had 15% 1 point into it) and it worked fine, the elite move slowwww....It's pretty much like kiting the world dragons from ashenvale to org.

Use Feral Fairie Fire, and just kite the damned thing to Garadar and have the guards kill it. Easy as pie soloed both keys.

I found that the best strategy for a lock is to enslave a FG and then you, the lock, pull aggro and kite while the FG runs behind the demon providing most of the DPS. The FG DPS will pull aggro eventually, so just turn around and unleash hell until you aggro again and keep repeating until the overseer is dead.

I was actually able to kite both of the Overseer elites at the same time all the way to Garadar, however, you are not able to loot them if you did less than 50% of the damage to them, so I worked hard for nothing.

If you kite them one at a time then you will make more than 50% damage to them and it'll work.

I solo'd this as a 67 demo lock, all I did was summon and imp, sac it (for the fire dmg bonus), enslave a felguard. Then send it at him, but instead of just having the felguard die to the demon, CoE -> Searing pain spam to keep agro and kite him, with the felguard hitting him as I kite. I lost agro once, and was able to do a lot of DPS before I got agro back.

Treelegs' Advice is what enabled me to do this as a 66 Warlock. You cannot Tank these guys with Enslaved Felguard, they die too quickly (guess all Felguard are alike). You could enslave 3 and maybe be able to tank and spank, but I doubt it.

To be fair, they do an enormous amount of damage, however, they seem to run at about 95% run speed, and are thus kitable, just be careful.

Simple as a fire mage, I just ran sideways and kited the demon using fire blast.

He ran a little slower than me and I have no speed enhancements.

When I got back to the Cannon I just mounted up re-aggroed him wait til he reset then beat him back to the cannon to unlock it.

Haha, just duoed this with a 68 MS warr *i was an 68 arc/fire mage*
Kited the first one to just outside of Halaa where i went invisible and used Evocation and then nuked the last bit down :3

Same with second one, but we kited him halfways to Telaar, and the warr died at the Consortium place, I just ran and fireblasted when i had enough mana :3

I dont know how and where, but it took the best part of my current char - hunter lvl68 BS + holy pally to beat this elites. Sure, we weren't equipped like some other guys above but I would like like to see these claims based with evidence (youtube or something similar) otherwise its a complete crap.

For those who planning to attend to this quest lil warning: they respawn after 25 -30 seconds so hurry up and finish up before opening champagne and caviar.

Okay it can be soloed - i did as a frost mage - but for everyone who wants to do that - get some mana potions , anyway i used just combats and kited them till Thelaar - they were about 10-12 k hp when get there so guards downed them in few seconds then i just looted and q done :)

I (70 Holy Paladin) just tried kiting one of the Overseers to Halaa. The guards were tapped since someone was bombing, and didnt do anything to the Overseer. If you are going to kite it, kite it to your town just to be safe.

did the entire chain with a 68 lock. for this quest you can solo it as a warlock or a hunter. maybe other range class too i dunno. all i did was run around in circle around the center structure. they path around it so if you stand on the otherside of the structure and run around they won't catch you. took me about 2 mins to down each. watch out for the pat that path around at Forge Camp: Fear. if you're a warlock you can enslave the elite and let it get killed.

hehe it makes me laugh all the locks coming up with such elaborate ways to solo the elites. All you have to do is enslave a Legionnaire and use something called.. Health funnel!!!! You can pretty much use the Legionnaire as a tank then until hes on 5-10% then just finish him off by kiting.. taking the hits whatever.. easy.

The easiest method to solo (and it really is easy) is to kite all the way to Garadar as described. For mages, keep up Mage Armor for mana regen, and make sure you hit as often as you can when he's far behind.

I blinked every now and then and fired off a Frostbolt to get him down to at least 50% HP - to make sure I got credit for the kill. I used 2 x mana gems on the round.

And to answer someone earlier: I solo'd it because at 2am there arent many Horde around on my server. So you have to make do.

Did this solo as a 67 lock. Enslaved a Felgaurd, set him on the demon waited till he did about 2-3% then went balls to the walls on the demon. Until the felgaurd either died or i pulled aggro. Then i just turned and ran onto the road kiting him with dots. Alot easier of the felgaurd is still alive. Because he will beat the shit outta the demon. and sometimes pull aggro giving you time to stop and do some damage to it.

I soloed this as a 70 hunter...

This is how you do it... First clear a little bit of the trash mobs around the overseers. Then proceed to kite the overseers to Telaar. I highly suggest alternating Aspect of the Viper and Aspect of the Cheetah. The overseers run slightly slower than you, but its always nice to have that jump start on them. So ya, kite 'em into the guards and the guards WTFDRAGON pwn em. Lol, nuff said...

Just solo'd as 69 Warlock (mostly demo build). It was pretty easy, just Enslave the felguards that are there and send it on, do some dots.. then right before your felguard dies (the enslaved one) you enslave another one right after, send it on and then use soulshatter (if needed) to get agro off yourself. Both are kitable to town.

Demos (Hate) is slow, very easy kite, you have to slow down to tag him.

Xirkos (Fear), this guy is running speed. If you make one mistake, he will own you. You'll need perfect jump/turn/cast all the way to town, or maybe a running speed enchant/item/hunterbuff will help.

Soloable by 70 elemental shaman in mediocre gear, good luck.

Soloable for all the ranged, you dont need to go to the town or Zangarmarsh (O.O) Just run turning around the green area in front of the Overseers, they cannot cross it and will go turning around, but they are much slower than you to turn that area. Mages just need to use fireblast, the others only need to dot and turn around.
Melee can use guns, don't worry they will always turn around the place how much you want.

p.s. you may need to kill a patrol before.

Alright. My friend and I (68 Dwarf Pally and a 70 human SP) did this. Here's how we did it: First, make sure there's no pats or anything to aggro. We had my friend (SP) DoT him and kite him, while I chased and wailed on him. Once he gets down to about 5% (only about a minute or two of kiting), just DPS him down. Grab the key, then go to the cannon. Usually, the boss respawns before you can get there. Here's the next trick: Have one guy kite him while the other goes in and uses the key to destory the camp. Once you destroy the cannon, switch places. You kite, your buddy blows the camp up. Relitivly easy (not exactly sure how to spell relatively.. oh wait there it is. XD)

Soloed this quest on 12/23 with a 70 affliction lock (Blackhearte on Sin'Jin).
Enslaved one of the 68 Legionares and sent him in, poped trinket and apm curse and dotted up mob then spent the rest of the fight renewing my instant cast dots and keeping the Felguard up.

He died with 15 - 20% health left on the mob so I kited them, The eredar I kited out the same path I took in from the NE, as for the pit lord I ran him around the tree just to the SE of the forge camp. Took a couple of trys as that mob is leashed so I'm sure the eredar is too.

Watch out for the pathing elite mob in Forge Camp: Fear he added on to a couple of pallys during their atempt.

This quest is soloable by pretty much anything other than a paladin, rogue, or warrior.
On my 67 elemental shaman, I was able to wiggle between the mobs surrounding the named guys and LB him, and then beginning to kite.
They are immune to snares and roots and they both run at 100% movement speed, so you have to be very good with jump-turn-cast-turn-land-run. (don't worry, neither mob has a ranged attack)

Other than that, my only problem was mana, With my shaman Water shield made it fairly easy, just recasting Flame shock as the dot drops off. This can be done with moonfire and warlock dots. I made it all the way to Garadar, and the guards made short work of them, causing alot of whispers by bystanders asking what I was doing.

The only problem was the respawn rate, by the time I rode back to the spot, they were already respawned, so I had to kite Demos around the green thing infront of him and use a stoneclaw totem to make just enough time to finish the use of the cannon. XIrkos was a different story, I had to use my pocket tank (Earth Elemental Totem) which made it easy. However I have no clue how one would turn it in without the elemental.

All and all, it was ALOT of fun and easily one of the best experiences Ive had in WoW.

Had to post of forums while I did it, took a while. But my shield block value > his dps

Judged Light for when he did hurt me (Xirkos, Overseer of Fear hits you for 15 (642 blocked) and sealed wisdom, holy shield did the rest.

Anyhow, now on to the second part.

Finished killing Demos, Overseer of Hate.

Same method. In order to avoid the pats, I dragged him to a clear area, judged light/sealed wisdom and used a dps 1h (sun eater or something) since i wasn't doing any spell damage really, and let holy shield take care of the rest.

Finished the fight with 90%+ hp and mana. Right after he died, I flew back in and used the key to the cannon right next to where he spawned.

To the poster who said pallies can't solo this, it doesn't apply to prot paladins.

This Quest can be done solo by a feral druid, put on the tanking gear and keep demo shout + Feary Fire on the mob. Takes a long time, but he doesnt hit that hard on a kara geared tank.

The overseers respawn as soon as the key is used and the camp is "destroyed", so don't hang around unless you need to kill them again.

With the current gear inflation we've been having lately this quest should be no problem for pallies.
My gladiator geared holy pally could take these guys on and down them with 10 mana pots, 2 fel blossoms and 4 bandages.
The bandages was probably a bit overkill, but they're cheaper than the mana pots so saved me some money :P

All in all you get 22g when completing the quest + 5.66g when vendoring the plate chest piece(or around 20 if you disenchant it). No matter how you look at it, you end up making some money on it.

Ofc, getting a tank or a dps would probably cut the consumables down quite a bit, so if you can find someone willing to take a spanking, go for it.

For the soloing part, just remember to keep up BoW and SoW on both yourself and the mob. Whenever Holyshock is ready, use it - heal up - save mana untill next holyshock is ready.
The fight takes about 10min per mob, so make sure you don't stand anywhere near the places mobs spawn.
I think the best location is probably right next ot the cannon that's standing beside the mob once you pull him.
Also, if you're getting low on mana, and the manapot is still on CD you can bubble up - bandage and FoL the rest up. Oh, and if you use BoP remember to rebuff BoW afterwards ;)

And as people have already mentioned, when you loot the keys, don't run away. Use them close to the cannons to get the objective completed.

All right, so the overseers are quite easy to kite with pretty much any class that can do ranged damage, meaning the two overseers themselves are no problem. Slower than run speed, piece of cake. The problem is this: once they finally drop dead, you'll probably be very, very far away from the actual forge camp. By the time you actually get back, the mob will have respawned, and it is not possible to get close enough to fire the cannon without aggroing them. I've found a couple ways to deal with this.

1. If Halaa is under your control, try to kite them in a circle from the camp, turn through Halaa, kite back toward the camp on the opposite road, and do enough damage so that they die near the camp. Basically, kite them in a large circle around the map. Then grab the key, run in, and fire the cannon before they repop.

Or 2. Kite them as usual, doesn't matter where to. Once they drop, grab the key, and go back to the camp. Kite them again, only this time don't aim to kill them. Instead, kite them a good distance away - halfway along the road to Telaar or Garadar should be good, depending on which road you take. Once you get here, stop doing damage, and just run. (a mage may use invisibility, or a hunter feign death, to speed up the deaggro) Eventually, they will deaggro and start running back to the camp, so mount up (hopefully epic mount) and go back there yourself. Since they run so spectacularly slowly, you'll beat them back to the camp by a long shot. Fire the cannon, and get out of there before they finally come back.

Just soloed as lv 70 pre-kara equipped Holy Pally (healadin spec)

Stood there with wisdom judgement, seal and blessing and concentration aura and let them beat the snot out of me - Holy Light ftw. Everything falls over eventually.

Took 11 minutes (5 mana potions and every trick in the healadin's bag'o'tricks) to kill the Hate Overseer. He's an easy pull, you can run straight up to him and no danger of adds . I tagged him with Exorcism and killed him in the centre. Be careful if you pull and run back as he moves slowly and resets after a fairly short distance.

Only took 10.5 minutes to kill the Camp Fear Overseer, he felt easier - still bulk hps and a nasty regular 1400hp hit on 56% mitigating platemail but i didn't need LoH or even a bubble-breather and finished comfortably with almost full hp and mana. Probably could have fought him 'til my mana pots run out (at least an hour... heh).

Camp Fear is a little more crowded and has a nasty pat that circles throughout the camp and you really don't need them joining the fight. The safest place is directly between him and the Fel Cannon next to him (don't worry the cannon isn't active) right up close to the central smoking landmark. The pat comes close but won't detect you there. So do your pre-battle prep and wind your way up next to him.

The cannons need to be channeled to fire so you can't be under direct attack but they can be used in combat so if you get your key from kiting and the overseer has respawned you can throw a pet or whatever at the guy while you unlock the cannon (it's not a long channel).

Finished this using a slightly diferent tactic.

For some reason the second felguard wasn't grabbing any aggro. It was like all the aggro the first did was stuck on me, so I had no chance of passing it onto the new felguard, not even with Soulshatter.

What I did was enslave a felguard, send him to the boss and start nuking away. After a few shadowbolts I would get aggro and start running, reapplying CoA (I'm 21/40 so couldn't cast Corruption) while the Felguard was still hitting the boss.
The bosses still move slowly, so you don't need any speed increase to escape them. Every now and then you can safely pause and send a shadowbolt. You can also do this when the Felguard eventually grabs aggro again.

Not hard at all using this tactic, was only hit once when I casted a shadowbolt too soon.

I'd imagine any class with an instant damage spell would be able to pull this off, although it may take a bit longer.

this is the case with many quests but clear at least part of the area first. i made it to 10% and aggroed others and died on two occasions. (swiftness pots are awesome for kiting)

Lvl 69 mage.
Soloed yesterday as Arcane / Pyro (46/13/0).

Easy but tiring. Kite with slow and Fire Blast. Put in AB whenever possible. Use POM-Pyro if needed. I killed them both alone. The only problem is mana pool: had to use 2 charges of Mana Emerald and 2 Mana Pots. The rest is pretty simple.

This is a long fight - I kited them both all the way from camps to Telaar. Both died only near Telaar.

P.S. When you come back to use key start kiting overseers again. Kite them up to the closest road. Then return as fast as you can, put up shields, use key and run away.

Make sure you have a 68 Pet vs a 67 pet, the difference is quite noticeable. I got mine at forge camp: hate, 22 41 ish.

I can't seem to do this one...solo that is...

Xircos is giving me touble. 70 Lock with decent gear, I do what is asked, grab a Felguard, kill the patrol 1st, then lay into him.

I wait a few secs fot Felguard to grab aggo then let loose with all my dots, at about 50% 2 things happen, either I get aggo or my felguard dies. When I get aggo I pretty much die right away, all kinds of things have gone wrong for me, 3 times ive lost control of the felguard...so it's all over there...

Once when my felguard died I grabbed another one but he couldn't get aggo so I died there too.

I wish he was fearable :( Will try a few more times but i'm upto try number 6...Question, I know when you enslave a demon it says the next time you do it, it will be harder to control, but does that mean the same demon you had or another one just of the same type? Cause I find when I die and go back to get another one I have problems with it (either it resists or breaks free after 2 mins).

So yeah just wanted to let everyone know it's not all that easy for us locks, things do go wrong...

A note from a Death Knight: If you are Unholy specced with the runspeed increase, you can run around with both the bosses in a circle and just spamming Icy Touch. Had my Ghoul work it while i was kiting it, making the fight slightly shorter. Hope this helps someone :)

I simply killed them outright toe-to-toe on both of them as a 69 Unholy DK, blowing most of my cooldowns doing so.

I actually had to kill the Hate Overseer 3 times, the second time because I desperately tried to find out how to turn the damn cannon and he spawned on my ass (which he payed for). I figured it out at the next camp, bit of a noob moment. :P

Was able to solo the whole questline as a 68 Blood-specced Death Knight. Demos hit pretty hard, but Xirkos was a much easier walk in the park (respawned as soon as I killed him, though...just activate the cannon behind the tree near it!)

Just always be sure to keep up with your cooldowns, be extremely careful with your rotations, and LOVE your Death Strike and Rune Tap.

This can be soloed by any class with some kind of ranged instant attack. They run slower than you, and got a very small hitbox, so it's very easy to kite them. Did it as a ret paladin using judgement and exorcism.

Level 66 ret paladin here, solo'd the entire chain.

Not hard if you are any good with a paladin, but killing the elites takes time and patience. Not worth the time it takes considering the amount of experience you could gain elsewhere, not to mention the sub par rewards.

Anyway, if you insist on soloing it as a paladin of any spec, here's how.

First step of the quest, well, second, the non flying bit at any rate, you will kill the non elites as you would anything else.

Awesome.

For ALL elites, up until Forge Camp: Annihilated, you will kill them via Turn Evil, Exorcism, and Judgment (I recommend of wisdom if you're a spec that will feel mana starved...).

Takes time, and is pretty boring, but yeah, it's totally doable.

For Forge Camp: Annihilated, the elites become immune to stuns, repentance, and of course, Turn Evil. You should have seen this coming. Fear not, the fools at blizzard have given you the most awesome not snare in the game, enter, Judgment of Justice.

Step 1, clear a path in and out of the forge camp to the Overseer.

Step 2, get full HP and mana.

Step 3, pull the overseer using Exorcism/Hand of Reckoning.

Step 4, Use JoJ IMMEDIATELY and begin running like a little girl.

Step 5, Kite the Overseer back and forth. I recommend using one straight path if you suck at kiting. Just make sure to refresh JoJ, keep the in combat, and watch where you are going. When you need to turn them, if you suck at kiting, try to make sure you are at full HP with an Art of War proc if possible, run directly through them, refresh the judge, top yourself with Art of War, and begin again.

Anyone who doesn't suck at kiting probably didn't need to read this anyway, but there are a lot of trees you can hump and use to your advantage.

Also, remember, Divine Storm, like Whirlwind and other similar effects, can hit the Overseer even when you cannot. Worth using if you can spare the mana and don't fail at range judging.

So yeah, that is how to lolret your way through this. Or any other Paladin spec I suppose.

But once again, exp / rewards are crap. I don't recommend this for soloing.

Easily soloed both overseers as undergeared enhancement shaman (level 70 but in Zangarmarsh and Nagrand gear only) - just called fire elemental and wolves after few seconds to have them up to end. No kiting.

I managed to solo this quest as a 69 prot paladin without kiting, in greens. I was completely stam-stacked to 10k unbuffed health with a little defense gear. I pretty much had to use every trick in the book, including:

- Divine Shield + Full heal
- Lay On Hands at low health again (yes, this means I had to spend 20 minutes doing something else then come back...)
- Potions
- Elixirs
- Sharpening Stone

To keep my mana going, I was using Blessing of Sanctuary, Seal of Wisdom, and Judgement of Wisdom. I kept Holy Shield up the entire time (this is absolutely necessary!) and used every offensive attack I had when it was up, even including Avenger's Shield and Holy Wrath to burn him as quickly as possible.

For both fights, I ended with less than a thousand health and died once when I didn't have Lay On Hands available. If you are in blues or LK gear, it should be a bit easier.

SV Hunter with cat did this easily. Just keep them DoTed and they'll go down eventually.
When I needed to 'activate' the cannon, I just sent my pet into tank the Overseer after which I Disengaged, and Feigned at a safe place. It was cake.

Okey very easy soloing with no need to run across the world: just run around the forge-thing (bellowing green smoke) that they stand next to. You never lose aggro because it's so close to their home point.

I'm a frost mage and with Demos this was extremely easy because he's so slow, just run around it and fire at him when he's at the opposite side. I summoned the water elemental for extra damage, but making it tank just wastes dps. There's nothing nearby that aggros you. Just keep an eye out so he hasn't changed direction :p He actually cut across once too but you see it coming miles away so just make sure you have something between you and him and continue the circle.

With Xirkos it takes longer time because he's faster, and because there's a patroll going around. Kill the patroll first and then get going on him as soon as possible. I got him killed before the patroll respawned, and since I had time to summon two water elementals (3min cd) I assume they respawn slow. I also blinked around the forge to put more distance between me and him, but since that is because I need a few seconds to get off my frostbolt, I assume other ranged classes like warlocks and hunters won't have that problem. (I used frostbolt and not the insta-casts to be somehwat conservative with mana.)

And! Since you kill them right at the cannon, just take three steps and use the key, no worries about respawns :)

Soloed as a 67, decent geared Enhance Shaman. Just used my trinket (200 AP) Feral Spirit, had them taunt, then when they lost aggro, used shamanistic rage. The passive healing from wolves made me not have to use healing, just used Chain Lightning when I had 5 maelstorm. When low on HP, I used Health Pot, and Gift of Naaru, then near end, I aggroed another elite, and had to pop my Lifeblood. In other words, soloable as enh shaman, if you know what your doing.

If you're a mage, and you've killed them with kiting, but were too slow to get back before they repop, a simple solution (for frost mages) is to summon your elemental, shoot at the overseer with it at a decent distance, then ninja in and activate the cannon. I'm sure your water elemental would be honored to sacrifice itself for you.

This was, unfortunately, obnoxiously easy to solo as a 66 blood DK. Switched to frost presence, about 9.2k HP with well fed buffs. Never went below 50% on either one. Mix Death Strike and Rune Tap into your rotation, plus death pact when ghoul gets below 5 seconds left. Used most of my CD's but didn't need to. Was hitting me for about 850 on plate in frost presence. No need to kite either one. I had better than average gear for my level. Sad to see these once challenging quests fall so far :(

Here is my experience with this part of the quest chain... it was easily enough once I worked out what I had to do myself... but hopefully this technique will help out other demonology warlocks... or just warlocks in general in the future.

First off you will need 4 shards to do this successfully.

At either of the camps depending on which one you chose to do first make sure that there is nothing in your working area... I found that there had to be some cleaning up around Forge Camp hate that had to be done first

1. Grab yourself a legionare take out the cannon that he is standing by, then send him in at the overseerer. you can fire off a DoT or two but be sure that you're close enough to another legionnaire.

2. Once your first legionnaire dies... you're going to have one mad elite coming at you, quickly enslave the next legionnaire and send him in.

3. After sending in the 2nd Legionnaire the guy is still going to come at you... so at this time, run with him and kite him around... you're dots and your new pet will bring him down fairly quickly at this point. (I still had 3 min left on my legionnaire once the overseer was dead). By about 10-12k worth of HP left of the overseer your pet should be the target and you can apply all of your DoT's and what other damage spells you have to finish him off

4. Run back and if you took him the overseer quite a bit a way, he will most likely be up again... so send in your pet again to keep him busy while you run in and activate the cannon... then once done, run out of the range of both and head on to the next camp if need be.

This is what worked for me, and I know it's a slight variation on what was already mentioned, but I figured I would provide even more specifics about it

Pfff, just tank&spank :p Soloed this chain quest with my 67 prot warrior with outland green/blue gear + heirloom 1h sword. Only had problem on the last one in this chain and i had to use all CDs, potions, etc. and still died few times.

Both of em are immune to stuns and hit ~800 on plate/shield. They dont use any spells or abilities, just auto attack.

A great way i found to kill them for a lock is to enslaved a felguard legionnaire,let them fight your target for a while then start casting he can keep the agro for a while.

Doable as 68 prot warrior.

(This is for Demos, I just proceeded like I do with other elites on Xirkos)
I started out the fight with 100 rage from the pack of 4 gan'args close to him, and got healed to 100% because of the heirloom trinkets. After this I charged, used thunderclap, demo shout and shield block. Revenge spam, devastate, shield slam, heroic strike etc until you get to about 50% hp, shield block should be up again soon. Run away from around the forge he's standing close to, and bandage once you have a safe distance. Go back with new shield block, shield wall after, rinse and repeat. Worked like a charm.

the demons in the pre Q can all be feared, dots and fear spam works for that..

and with these you simply enslave a felguard and tank and spank it while you throw a few dots and keep health funnel up on the pet (if you got alot of spellpower, you dont need to healthfunnel as much, and can do more dps yourself, just keep a finger on soulshatter, you might need it!

Soloed as a level 66 Demonology warlock.

Use Enslave Demon to take control of a Felguard Legionnaire (as suggested by a previous poster), and have the enslaved Legionnaire attack the overlord. Use Immolate and Corruption on the Fel Cannon that the Legionnaire was next to (it starts attacking the Legionnaire as soon as you enslave it); it goes down pretty fast--one application of each did the trick. Cast Bane of Doom on the Overlord, then Summon Infernal and add Corruption and Immolate to the overlord. Bane of Doom is very likely to summon another demon to help out (making 3 demons plus you), but even if it doesn't the Legionnaire and Infernal, along with your DoTs, should make quick work of the overlord; just be sure you refresh your DoTs as needed. If necessary, Soul Burn for instant-cast on Soul Fire. I also had to use Soul Shatter mid-way through because I was nuking the overlord pretty hard. Loot the key from the overlord's corpse and immediately use it on the Fel Cannon next to the overlord, since the respawn is extremely fast, as others have noted.

I still had about 15 seconds of my Infernal, and a couple seconds of the Bane of Doom-summoned demon, left at the end of the fight, though the amount of time the Legionnaire remains enslaved differed between the first and second camp (the first time, the Legionnaire broke enslavement a couple seconds after I looted the overlord's corpse, and I didn't realize it until it killed me, so I had to do the fight again in order to use the key). If you have a flying mount, I'd recommend that you mount it after you use the key on the Fel Cannon; the enslaved Legionnaire's hp will be low, so lead it to some other elite mobs and hover while it gets killed (or, if it breaks enslavement, you'll be out of its reach). Then, find something to do while you wait the 10 minutes for your Infernal cooldown to expire, fly to the other camp and repeat.

Only other piece of advice: be very careful where you stand while you're doing the fight, so you don't aggro the surrounding mobs and get zerged.

just did this solo as a 67 warlock. Enslaved elite 68 felguard for each site and had pet hold aggro while I dotted and nuked them down, was really easy! Health funnel for the enslaved demon is OP :)

Easy to solo as 66 unholy death knight. Put on some trance music and kite him around the big thing in the middle or one of the trees, using IT and DC for damage and keeping him on you and not your ghoul.

Also doable as a 67 frost mage. Sent my elemental in first and got a few frost bolts in before he started getting too close. The pop mirror image and ice veins and let go on the dps. The images don't last quite long enough so I pop iceblock once they die and then just keep backing up in a rough circle throwing icelance and fire blast for the last little bit.

I killed the fat winged dude first try with my 68 Ret Pally. Then I died twice on the tall red dude. Even with LoH, we were both down to the last swing, and he got his in both times. I noticed that I was not really doing much melee damage to him, plus I was running out of mana and was thus not able to heal as much as I needed to, so I switched to Holy spec and put on my healing gear. This time I was able to nuke him down with Exorcism, using HS on him every time it was up, and then using the HP that it generated to heal myself with WoG ( yay for no 45-second CD on WoG for Holy Pallies!). I'm sure someone will say I'm lying, but Holy Spec really rocks on Pallies - I didn't dual-spec and switch to Ret for leveling until I got to Outland.

Soloable as a lvl 67 feral druid in bear form. Had 9.600 hp, and a dedicated tank spec. Gear was green and blue quest rewards only, no BoA/heirloom items.

I cleared 1-2 packs of the nearest mobs in both camps (inclusive the patrol in the southern "Camp Fear" - thats pretty important!). Other than that: Get Lacerate up at 3 stacks, then use Pulverize, and repeat. Do this all the time. And use the Lacerate glyph that gives Lacerate 5% extra crit chance. On the first fight Lacerate did 30% of the damage, on the second fight it did whooping 40% of the damage! I didn't have any need for healing pots or selfhealing (other than Frenzied Regeneration).

Tactic:

Pull the boss with Faerie Fire.
Keep Demoralizing Roar and Lacerate up at all time.
Use Mangle on cooldown for application of Infected Wounds that reduces the target's attack speed by 20%.
Use Barkskin every time it's ready.
And use Survival Instinct + Frenzied Regeneration when down at about 4 k hp.

That's about it :)

It was an easier and more straightforward solo than I expected with my level 69 worgen hunter (quest greens and blues). In both camps I flew to an open area with a clear view of the boss, buffed my tenacity pet with mend pet and did my normal dps routine for a single mob. I used mend pet as necessary to keep it alive and the pet tanked just fine. Neither boss moved much throughout the fight and no other mobs were a factor. I had initially taken out an engineer with its two adds at Forge Camp Hate just to make sure, and it happened that the patrolling mob at Forge Camp Fear had just passed the boss when I arrived and the fight was over before it returned.

As of patch 7.0.3, you only get the rewards that are suitable to your class. So no more Watcher's Tunic if you aren't a cloth user :(

I'm currently 120, trying to go back and finish up Loremaster. I've done this area before, but for some reason my achieves are not counting for Loremaster in certain areas, so I'm doing it again. All I have left is the Threats to Nagrand part. I saw a comment where I needed to do City of Light, so I did that. Still no quest. I've talked to both Huntress Kima (who just says something about supply crates, which I've already done) and Altruis the Sufferer, who has no quests for me. I've completed every other part from this area, but I cannot get this last part. If anyone has any idea how to proceed, I'd be forever grateful!

Edit: I've now also done Visions of Destruction and A Mystifying Vision and I'm still not getting the quest needed. Guess I'll just need to finish all the other areas and see if it pops up!

Edit: I've been working on other areas and right now I'm in Shadowmoon Valley and I've now gotten a quest to go and finish this. So if you are stuck on this, work on Shadowmoon Valley and you will eventually get the quest Altruis which will allow you to finish Nagrand.
**False alarm!** While this does take you to Altruis, it's for an entirely different quest chain.

Final Edit: I just happened to see the quest It's Just That Easy? in Shatt, not sure how I missed it or if I accidentally abandoned it, but this was the quest I needed. Takes you right to Altruis to finish Nagrand!

After spending the last 2 days trying to figure out why I couldn't get Threats to Nagrand completed. Even though I had done the Forge Camp Annihilation, it was showing I hadn't completed it. I checked everywhere, even here and I couldn't find a thing. And then I checked All The Things add on. Figured out.... I hadn't done the WANTED poster in Tarrar (Alliance). As soon as I did those 3, got all the achievements for the Nagrand zone. Hope this helps someone in the future.
