Small guide:

Terokkar Forest:
Olemba Root: 37.1 - 34.2
Exit through the south-east entrance of Shattrath. It's right outside.

Then fly to Zabra'Jin, Zangarmarsh.

Zangarmarsh:
Marshberries: 20.0 - 8.6
Exit Zabra'Jin and go north, and up to the small floating island, go over the 'mushroom-bridge' and turn right. Go up the slope and you'll see an orange thing on the ground. It looks kinda lika a stone when you first look at it.

Go back to Zabra'Jin and fly up to Thunderlord Stronghold. If you don't have the flightpath, fly to Swamprat Post and go to 70.30 and go through the tunnel and continue north.

Blade's Edge
Dragonspine: 48.6 - 67.1
Go south from Thunderlord Stronghold to the bridge.
It's a small red plant.

Get back to Thunderlord Stronghold and fly to Garadar, Nagrand.

Nagrand
Telaari Frond: 62.3 - 55.7
Get out of Garadar and go towards 'Ring of Trials'. Then when you get to the bridge go under it and you'll find the Telaari Frond. It's a lot bigger than the others but it can 'blend in' a bit. Looks like a medium-size bush.

I think that those dragonspines in Zangarmarsh are only for alliance. I can't find anyone there as an horde.

Alliance cant gather them, because you need to have "Material Components" quest in your questlog to be able to gather. As the allies havent got this questline so they cant loot them.

Olemba Root - If you mount up and go outside shattrath toward the border of zangarsmarsh and terrokar forest, there should be one nearby the road.
Marshberry - The marshberries are located up north by the ogres across the mushroom bridge. If you did most of the quests in zangarsmarsh, you might remember this was the area you had to kill the spriest ogre and collect boxes
Telaari Frond - Go toward the Ring of Trials. In the valley/basin, where the earth elementals are, the plant spawns here. It is green in color and looks like a bush. You can find one a plant like a couple of feet into the basin.
Dragonspine - Confirmed at the coordinates above. You can also gather this in Zangarsmarsh just east of the alliance base up north. There are like 5 that spawn together. I guess you can say that it's part of Blade's edge mountain as its technically on the Brown land.

I found a post on the Nagrand Slam achievement about this quest:

For those of you who are more then 1 quest short.. lets say anywhere from 5-10+ the below quest may be just what you are looking for.. it is a prerequisite for the great mother quest line(a very very long questline) the trick is you DO NOT see this quest until you kill the two guards guarding him.. so on your flight around nagrand looking for quests you will not see this

The Totem of Kar'dash to save Mag'har Captive

after you have finished the above escort quest the great mother quest line will open for you in the main town.. it is a very long but interesting quest line and if you have never done it you may enjoy it..

full credit needs to go out to DJPhil and flechett3 for this.. I am just combining their information and moving it to the top for easier access for those trying to get this achievement as some people(like me) may not stumble upon their section for some time.. if you found this information handy don't forget to give them a + as well

So in other words, if you're having trouble getting this quest to appear, you must do The Totem of Kar'dash, first. There's an orc being bullied in a broken building by two guards. Kill the guards, and he will have a quest for you. Escort him out, and you will be sent to Garrosh, who sends you to do the first quest of the chain.

As a side note, I can't seem to find Telaari Frond anywhere. Are there any other details? Do you have to be an herbalist to harvest it?

Quest Note: It is SAFE to delete/trash the Greatmother's List of Herbs once the quest Material Components is completed. It will sit in your bags until you do so, and cannot be sold.

When you complete this, not only will you be able to meet Mother Kashur and do the next quest in the chain, you will also be able to see the Ancient Orc Ancestors. They are walking from where Orc villages used to be toward Oshu'gun . (According to comments elsewhere, Vision of the Dead will make them visible, too, even to Alliance.) Eventually, you will have to investigate what is drawing them to Oshu'gun. Unfortunately, it's easy to miss them while flying around. When this quest was new, flying required level 70, so you were more likely to notice them while doing the next few quests in the chain.

The Objectives Tracker and Show Map button in the log book do a pretty good job of helping you do this quest now. Just go to where they say in the correct zones and look around for plants that are sparkling.

Completely unable to loot Dragonspine, tried both the ones in Zangarmarsh and Blade's Edge. Tried to abandon + retake quest, didn't work either.

Description

Mother Kashur wishes to speak with you, <name>. Before this becomes possible, you must collect the herbs required to create a potion that will expand your mind, allowing you to commune with the spirits.

You must gather Olemba root from Terokkar, marshberries from Zangarmarsh, Telaari fronds from Nagrand and dragonspine from the Blade's Edge mountains. I have written down instructions on this parchment as to the cultivation of these herbs. Return to me when you have gathered the materials.
