Confirming the location and a 10 min respawn time. Watoosun looks like a regular water element, but a lot bigger-- level 66 I think, and soloable.

Found Watoosun's Polluted Essence @ 33,50
Lake Surgers are all around him so you need 5-10min to finish this quest.
If Watoosun is not spawned kill Lake Surgers untill he spawn.

Watoosun's Polluted Essence is not immune to frost, but the blasted Surgers are. Frost mages beware.

Someone killed it just before I got there and the respawn was about 7mins.

I noticed something weird about these mobs, if you shoot one with ranged, they charge you and attack your pet but stay close to you so you cannot shoot from a distance, regardless... they're cake. (aggressive)

and yeh if hes not there kill some lake surges then he a big ass green one that spawns around those coords...if you dont have coords its near the southern part of the lake

Watoonsun is a level 66 mob, Non-elite and easily soloable. He has around 6,500 health total.

He's not immune to any of the Nature spells that the other poison elementals are. Really quite easy... Silly really with a 67 Druid.

Watoosun's Polluted Essence is easy to kill but the times i tried it i always got mobed so you might wanna clear the area around him

Frost mages tip
put on frost ward, fireball and scorch / blast when you can.
the reason for frostward is that there dmg is water based :) problem solved

There is a big rib cage in the middle of the lake at ground level. Those of you without a coordinate mod, it's a tick south of the O in "Sunspring Post" on the map (fullscreen). Watoosun spawns right there. You can't miss him, he is 5x the size of all the other surgers. Incidentally, the mob spawns right smack dad in the middle of the quest indicator circle on the map.

The Spirit Polluted

Elementalist Lo'ap at the Throne of the Elements in Nagrand wants you to destroy Watoosun's Polluted Essence and 8 Lake Surgers.

Description

Watoosun was able to shed the stink of corruption; but in doing so, created a twisted spirit essence. A spirit essence composed of the vilest corruption found amongst the elements!

You will find this polluted spirit of the swamp southwest of here, hidden in the depths of Lake Sunspring.

Find and destroy the polluted essence of Watoosun and any corrupt offspring that it may have created.
