With the introduction of the Warbands feature, Darkmoon Prize Ticket has become a Warband-transferrable currency, which means you can complete Darkmoon activities on multiple alts and funnel tickets to one character to earn rewards even faster!

Profession quests for all expansions have had skill levels reduced from +5 to +2, and Cooking/Fishing quests have had their skill levels from +5 to +3. Dragonflight-era Profession quests now also offer +3 Knowledge and 15x Artisan's Mettle.

Shadowlands Pre-PatchPatch 9.0.1

Several Legion Inscription recipes are sold by Professor Thaddeus Paleo: Technique: Darkmoon Card of the Legion (Rank 2) for 50 tickets, Technique: Darkmoon Card of the Legion (Rank 3) for 250 tickets, Technique: Prophecy Tarot for 5 tickets, and Technique: Prophecy Tarot for 35 tickets.

Legion brings with it a new set of Darkmoon Cards, which are ilvl 835 and can be upgraded to ilvl 875 via Obliterum. These are crafted by scribes and can be created any time of the year. However, as mentioned above, scribes will want to buy the Rank 2 and Rank 3 recipes for these cards so they can be crafted with fewer materials.

PvP books such as Fallen Adventurer's Journal, Banner of the Fallen, and Captured Insignia can be looted only while in a battleground and also count towards Darkmoon Defender

Every time you fly through a ring, your Wings of Flame buff is refreshed to 10 seconds maximum.

Plot out a route with some thought, taking care that there's always a nearby ring so your Wings of Flame does not fall off. There are rings all over the Faire.

There is also a series of achievements: Flying High, Ringmaster, Brood of Alysrazor.

Completing Brood of Alysrazor rewards Blazing Wings. This is an account-wide toy which gives your character the appearance of fiery wings for an hour! Cataclysm raiders may note similarities to the Alysrazor.

Accumulate 5 Cannon Target Points by landing near the target in the water.

When you're shot out of the cannon, you temporarily get wings.

Click off the wings to land in the marked area in the water. You'll be awarded 1, 3, or 5 points based on accuracy.

Landing perfectly in the center of the marked area awards Blastenheimer Bullseye.

If you need to get more points, Teleportologist Fozlebub on the shore can port you back to the cannon quickly.

Ring TossJessica RogersTarget: Turtle

Land 3 rings on the Darkmoon Turtle.

Angle your camera to aim downwards towards the ground instead of across the tent for better aim.

The pathing has changed- the turtle can wander in one of six directions, and then heads back to the center.

Completing 10 successful rings in one try rewards Triumphant Turtle Tossing and Darkmoon Ring-Flinger.

Shooting ArcadeRinlingHe Shoots, He Scores!

Score 25 points in 60 seconds.

Upon accepting his quest, players will get a temporary gun and must hit one of three marked targets.

If you get lucky and a target spawns in the direction you are facing in, there is a good chance you'll get Quick Shot which awards 2 points instead of 1.

Tonk ChallengeFinlay CoolshotTonk Commander

Use your Darkmoon Tonk to destroy 30 Tonk Targets in the time allowed.

To get as many hits in as possible without being caught by the Zeppelin, constantly keep moving (it won't be able to track you).

Driving through the tonk targets gives you the most accurate aim.

Whack-A-MoleMolaIt's Hammer Time

Score 30 points by whacking Gnolls.

Regular gnolls are worth 1 point, Hogger-gnolls are worth 3 points, and babies will stun you.

Gnolls that have just spawned from one of the nine barrels will have steam around the base. It is best to go for those instead of those without steam that will despawn soon.

When you hop into a seat, you're given the 5 minute buff WHEE! which increases all experience and reputation gained by 10%. If you stay on the carousel and don't get dizzy, that buff will eventually increase to 60 minutes.

Blastenheimer Bullseye
Score a bullseye when launched from the Darkmoon Cannon.
This achievement may take a few tries to get due to latency and luck. Pick up The Humanoid Cannonball, Fire yourself out of the cannon, fly over the Faire, turn your buff off when you fly past the boardwalk, and hope you land in the middle of the circle at the edge of the water. Hit spacebar to jump if it doesn't register. If you fail, speak to Teleportologist Fozlebub on the shore for a quick teleport back to the cannon.

Come One, Come All!
Attend the Darkmoon Faire.
Simply zone onto Darkmoon Island. See "Getting to the Faire" for more details.

Darkmoon Defender
Turn in all three battleground Darkmoon Artifacts.
If Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide is in your inventory, you can loot them from PvP players. All of these items can be found on the AH.

Darkmoon Despoiler
Turn in all nine Darkmoon Artifacts.
This requires you to turn in Soothsayer's Runes as well as the items for Darkmoon Defender and Darkmoon Dungeoneer. All of these items can be found on the AH.

Darkmoon Dominator
Win the Darkmoon Deathmatch twelve times and receive a Master Pit Fighter trinket.
The Darkmoon Deathmatch activates every 3 hours, starting at midnight server time. This is a free-for-all bloodbath where everyone not in your party, including members of the same faction, is hostile. Keep bag space handy as you will have 12 Pit Fighter needed for Master Pit Fighter. Darkmoon Duelist is also an earlier step in this achievement chain to just loot one.

Darkmoon Dungeoneer
Turn in all five dungeon Darkmoon Artifacts.
These books drop from level-appropriate bosses up to level 90 if Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide is in your inventory. They can also be bought on the AH. The books are Imbued Crystal, Monstrous Egg, Mysterious Grimoire, Ornate Weapon, and A Treatise on Strategy and more information can be found in the "Darkmoon Despoiler Quest" section of this guide.

Faire Favors
Complete at least five profession-based quests at the Darkmoon Faire.
Complete quests for six different professions at the Faire. You do not have to do them all at the same Faire. The easiest way to do this is to do two quests for your primary professions, as well as Putting the Crunch in the Frog, Spoilin' for Salty Sea Dogs, DEPRECATED: Putting the Carnies Back Together Again, Fun for the Little Ones. You must have skill level 75+ to pick up these profession quests.

Fairegoer's Feast
Consume one of every Darkmoon food and drink.
This requires you to drink and eat 18 things unique to the Darkmoon Faire. Stamp Thunderhorn sells 10 food items and Sylannia sells 8 drinks. Several of these items are also found in Sealed Crates from fishing, but it's easier just to buy them from the vendors.

You must be 85 to complete this achievement, as it's the level requirement for Sasparilla Sinker and Salty Sea Dog.

I Was Promised a Pony
Ride a Darkmoon Pony.
Head to the Petting Zoo by the boardwalk at 57, 82. Walk past the zoo (away from the main road) and the ponies will be in a pen off to the southeastern part of your map. Click on the pony to mount it.

Quick Shot
Score a Quick Shot at the Shooting Gallery.
Start by aiming at the middle target, and pivot to the left or right targets (depending on where the green target arrow is) while shooting. You can get two hits before the arrow fades away. Or, you can just pick one target and keep shooting at it quickly--at some point, the target marker will land on the target you're firing at.

Step Right Up
Play five different Darkmoon games.
This achievement requires you to play the five games in the "Daily Quest Games" section except Blazing Wings.

Taking the Show on the Road / Taking the Show on the Road
Launch off Darkmoon Fireworks in every friendly capital city.
The Darkmoon Firework is purchased from Boomie Sparks for 10 Darkmoon Prize Ticket. You need six total for this achievement, and the fireworks can only be used during the Faire.
The Alliance and Horde must both set fireworks off in Dalaran and Shattrath City.

Alliance-only cities are: The Exodar, Stormwind City, Darnassus, Ironforge

Horde-only cities are: Silvermoon City (Burning Crusade), Thunder Bluff, Orgrimmar, Undercity (not Ruins of Lordaeron)

That Rabbit's Dynamite!Slay the ferocious Darkmoon Rabbit.That's Whack!Score 45 points in one session of Whack-a-Gnoll.

Ace Tonk Commander
Score 45 hits in one session of the Tonk Challenge.
Pick up Tonk Commander and shoot at as many targets as possible. When more people play the game at the same time, more targets are visible even though you do not see the players. Rewards Darkmoon Tonk Controller.

Darkmoon Like the Wind
Stay aloft with the Wanderluster's Glider for more than 10 seconds.

Triumphant Turtle Tossing
Successfully toss 10 rings onto Dubenko the Darkmoon Turtle in one session of the Ring Toss.
Throw the rings when the turtle walks back into the center. The turtle wanders off to an edge and then wanders back to the same central point. Rewards Darkmoon Ring-Flinger and can be done with Target: Turtle.

Complete The Real Big Race within 20 tolls.
There are achievement series for completing Big Race achievements on each of the four mounts.

Big Powermonger: Gold, for using a Powermonger, rewards Darkmoon Cannon. This shoots you out of a cannon and lets you fly for a minute.

Big Wanderluster: Gold, for using a Wanderluster, rewards a Darkmoon Gazer. This item is quite similar to Eye of Kilrogg and lets you scout out dangerous areas.

Big Rocketeer: Gold, for using a Rocketeer, rewards a Race MiniZep Controller. This teaches the battle pet Race MiniZep.

Big Race Roadhog, for using a Racing Strider, rewards a Checkered Flag. This increases mount speed by 30% for 10 minutes.

Real Race AchievementsComplete the Real Race within 11 tolls.

Powermonger: Gold, for using a Powermonger, rewards a Gaze of the Darkmoon toy. This puts a Darkmoon Faire marker over someone's head.

Wanderluster: Gold, for using a Wanderluster, rewards an Attraction Sign. This places down a blinking arrow, similar to the ones used as decorations around the Faire.

Rocketeer: Gold, for using a Rocketeer, rewards an Everlasting Darkmoon Firework. This is a permanent version of Darkmoon Firework, a firework with the Faire logo.

Darkmoon Racer Roadhog, for using a Racing Strider, rewards a Fire-Eater's Vial. This sets your breath on fire, like many of the Darkmoon Faire NPCs.

Why is the Crow still listed as bugged? I got it in 5.1. Yes, it only appears as a secondary pet - but it can be captured! The bug was hotfixed shortly after 5.1 launch.

Hi! Im pretty new to wow and ive seen some very cool gear and i have found out that its called heirlooms and as far as have gotten yet i understand that you buy these heirlooms with honor points but what i wonder are , is it just that simpel to get them ? What are the prises? And were do i buy it , i am playing for the aliance . Would be Greate if Someone could help me out ! Thanks

The guide lists the earning maximum of 155 Darkmoon Prize Ticket per character each Faire, however it doesn't take into account the ability of your character(s) to win the Darkmoon Deathmatch. If your character is the first to open the chest, you will not only loot the Pit Fighter, but also around 20g, a few Cataclysm-level healing/mana potions and 5 Darkmoon Prize Ticket. With the chest spawning every three hours, for a potential maximum of 56 times throughout the Faire, the potential is out there to loot up to 280 additional Darkmoon Prize Ticket. These are not guaranteed by any means, as you have to "win" the deathmatch and be available when the chest spawns. I have been able to win at least about 10 of these per week. The deathmatch isn't for everyone, but just wanted to make sure the information was readily available to players. Happy hunting!

There are actually 8 days one can do the mini game dailies. When the faire opens it's 2 to 4 hours before all the dailies reset. You can do a complete run of those in that time easily. So, before the death match is taken into account, it's possible to get 160 prize tickets, or 165 if it's your character's first visit (there's a bonus quest that gives you 5 prize tickets that gets you to the faire).

Strange... I've found a subterranean cave entrance at 74,29, 34,53 while I was fishing those boxes around. It is close to fatigue zone, and the most weird, you can swim around there and BREATHE under the water. Didn't find anything in it at the moment I came in, but dunno if its for some kind of new blizz rare spawn or I'm mistaken.

PS: Theres a shipwreck right on top of the cave, you'll don't miss it.

In the list of Mounts and Pets available for purchase with prize tickets, this guide currently has some pets, like the turtle and the monkey, listed as 'non-combat pets.' This is no longer true, if it ever was. While the balloon, and possibly the zeppelin and tonk are indeed non-combat vanity pets, the other pets like the cub and turtle are most definitely combat, or 'battle' pets.

Fantastic guide all around though, I refer to it every faire :)

Either wowhead is wrong or blizzard cause the "upgrade" for lv 80 heirlooms to 85 cost me 1k gold plus the prior heirloom plus extra tickets, I am very sure i never had to pay extra gold at all as I have done it before.

Jubling: Get two Dark Iron Ale Mug either from the AH or from Plugger Spazzring. Place one by Morja’s feet and then pick up Spawn of Jubjub. A week later Unhatched Jubling Egg will hatch into A Jubling's Tiny Home.

not very precise and also inaccurate on how to complete the quest.

HOW TO REALY COMPLETE THIS QUEST

1. use direbrew remote to go to grim guzzler
2. buy dark iron ale mugs x3 at least (not two)

or you could waste gold on the AH (SO SORRY FOR POINTING THIS OUT!)

3. go to the first aid quest zone at dark moon faire
4. leave first aid quest zone and haed into forest (do not leave mug at the quest giver like suggested)
5. find jub jub
6. guide him back to first aid quest giver by throwing mugs so he can follow you
7. after leaving a trail of at least 3 mugs leading back to quest giver, the quest giver will give you the quest
8. turn in quest and wait a week to get pet..

THE QUEST DOES NOT TAEK 2 MUGS, IT TAKES 3 AT LEAST. DO NOT START THE QUEST BY PUTTING MUG AT QUEST GIVER
FIND JUB JUB FIRST (you are leading jub jub to the quest giver..putting mug at her feet to start teh process does not work, the mug has a good chance of despawning while you run around trying to find jub jub.)

I am new to Darkmoon and thus I am farming tickets, however I noticed in your guide it states you can use the mini games to farm up to 35 tickets a day, but you can only do the dailies once a day thus can only actually farm up to five? Am I missing something here or is there a way to repeat the quests per hour perhaps?

For instance, I was able to pick up the First Aid quest on my main (L.100, FA.700), but not on one of my lowbie toons (L.48, FA.002).

Moonfang and her Dreadhowls have been significantly buffed in 6.1. The Dreadhowls are much tougher to solo now unless you're a pet class - and even then they tear through pets quickly. Moon herself 2 shot my pet cat. Not too bad otherwise, but definitely not easily soloable now!

There seem to be a few bugs in 6.1 DMF that have occurred to me and I've reported in-game.

1. If you complete the new Race first and then do the other dailies, there will be a gui bug on at least 2 of the following dailies. At Turtle toss, the Number of Tosses bar stretches from the top to bottom of the screen blocling your view of the turtle. For Shooting Gallery, the score counter is in the middle of the screen, instead of the bottom. One has to logout or exit or reset the gui to clear this.

2. The Firebird's Challenge. I experienced a lot of failures to get a ring to count towards the total. I am not trying to get the fast speed achievement, but merely trying to stay centered on the rings. When the rings are spaced far apart, or the failure to get the credit and boost for flying thru a ring happens, then one drops to the ground and has to talk to the npc and give another token to fly again. On one toon I had to buy 4 tokens to finally complete the race. I don't see any mention in this guide or the 6.1 release notes that indicates a change to randomly not give credit for flying thru the rings so view this as a bug until told otherwise by Blizzard.

I have a high end PC and graphics card and SSD game disk, so that should not be the issue.

And finally, DMF can be very lag prone when there are a number of players in the instance.

If I defeat both pet masters everyday with different characters (I won them on Sunday with my Draenei Warrior and the rest of the week with my Human Paladin)
Does this mean I will get the 105 tickets anyways? or do I have to defeat them for 7 dayswith a single character?

The list of pets doesn't include Tree Frog and Wood Frog. Both of which can be purchased from Flik for 1g. The wood frog box is in limited supply.

The items that drop from dungeons are able to drop from trash aswell. Not just the bosses.

In the Dungeon Sets section, the Sorcerer's Regalia link and image is incorrect. It's showing the outland blue/pink recolor of the Magister's set.
I was double-checking the outfits I still needed to obtain from the Darkmoon Fair to have them all set up for the legion wardrobe. I almost passed this replica set over by judging on the picture shown alone because I knew I already had the outland recolor.

It should be this dusky purple/blue set instead: Sorcerer's Regalia
(Also, the image for this set seems to be misbehaving atm and is showing some leg! =P)

well 5 toons, a rogue, hunter, dk and 2 warlocks all at least lvl 100+ and the mace for 1 ticket isn't available i even tried the dark potion to see if she sold the maces. luckily i have them from last year and if they are sold by any vendor, which one is it or am i sitting on a investment? and all the foods are gone too maybe one is still available.

Level 3 Trading Post will NOT boost Army of the Light rep along with the DMF rep boost! (Just tested).
So, don't have anything to check it with at the moment, but they might have changed it to only multiply Draenor rep items.

Update: The dungeon quest items do drop in BfA, even from normal-mode trash. You don't even have to loot; they appear in your inventory and you get a loot banner.

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else but (from my experience) once you turn in the Darkmoon Faire artifact quests, you can no longer loot the artifacts.

Tested this through two characters. First character I ran a couple of times the day before DMF was available. As long as I emptied my bags of the Darkmoon Faire artifacts, the next dungeon would reward more artifacts.

Second character did not have a Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide in his inventory. So, I went to DMF to acquire one. Since I had the artifacts from the aforementioned character, I mailed them to my second character to turn in to get the DM Top Hat for XP boost. After turning in the artifacts and acquiring the book I ran a dungeon and got zero artifacts.

Logged back on to first character, ran yet another dungeon, got all five artifacts. Turned them in at the DMF, ran another dungeon and received zero artifacts.

So now my question is, at what point do we start receiving artifacts again after turning in the quests associated with them?

new change in 8.1. profession quests now, once again, give +5 skill to your highest unlocked, non maxed, trade skill. eg. you are BfA mining skill 145, you will go to 150. if you are BfA mining skill 150, you will get +5 skill to the most recent expansion skill that you have unlocked. ie. if you are BfA mining 150, and Legion mining 95, you will get +5 legion mining to make you Legion mining 100.

In order to pick up and do the Darkmoon profession quests you need to have at least 75 skill points in the Old World or Classic part of your professions! In other words: Lets say you have 75 skill points in Kul Tiran mining. In that case you will not be able to pick up the Darkmoon profession quest for mining as what you need is 75 skill point in the classic part of the mining profession that is used in Kalimdor and Western Kingdom.

Darkmoon Dungeoneer items: There is some odd behaviour still with how these drop in BfA dungeons. For instance, I have run Waycrest Manor and Shrine of the Storm on Normal while levelling. Waycrest Manor dropped none, but with Shrine of the Storm I had the full set with 2 x Ornate Weapons within the space of six or seven trash pulls.

I have been doing the Faded Treasure Map quest on alts to get the toys/pets/transmog gear. It's a one time quest so you can only do once per toon so if you unlocked an Allied Race it'll make this easier. You will need to get 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw from either fishing or AH. The quest rewards 100 tickets which allows you to purchase most of the goodies except for mounts and a few toys. Here are some tips that helped me:

Have at least 150 fishing skill in Classic fishing. This will ensure that get Darkmoon Daggermaw each time you cast. If you don't have a 150 classic fishing skill it'll take longer to get fish until you level it up
Once you get 100 make a new toon that is an Allied Race. You need to be level 15 to do the quest so having an Allied Race speeds things up. Mail the fish to your alt.
Take your alt to Darkmoon Faire and purchase Faded Treasure Map
Head to Silas' Secret Stash#comments and check out Vainio comment (sort by highest rated). They have a map that shows all the locations with hints

After you finish the quest you will be rewarded with Silas' Secret Stash that gives you random elixirs and 100 tickets. Buy whatever you want then delete your alt and rinse repeat till you get what you want.

I left my two not very often used chars parked in Darkmoon area during previous Darkmoon. I logged on them by mistake one day before official Darkmoon on my server (well camp is being set up) and... I found them inside working faire.

I don't know when it changed, but when I'm fishing for the fishing quest, it now gives me Shadowlands fishing increases instead of vanilla increases. I'm not talking about the turn-in, but with casting, and it is on alts who have not mastered fishing for any expansion. I don't know if it gives older fishing if Shadowlands is maxed as I don't have any with max Shadowlands fishing yet. I'm also not getting trash items because of low fishing score either, so that is definitely a plus.

Is it my imagination, or is the Darkmoon Faire getting grotty? The main thoroughfare seems to be covered in carnival litter. I have recently taken a year long break from WOW, so going to it recently, I really noticed its litter problem.

I would be interested in finding out whether the Faire has been slowly getting worse over the years. Those Carnies need to do their job better. :)

I know this is a very old info page, but just FYI for those looking at the Carousel 10% rep and exp buff, YOU CAN DO IT AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE while DMF is open. You just need to return to Darkmoon Faire and use another fair ticket.

I'm trying to find where the Jewelcrafting quest giver is in the Darkmoon Faire, but this guide hasn't been updated with the Faire's new map with the rollercoaster.

And yellow quests aren't showing :c I see a blue quest if there are both a yellow and blue quest options.

Does anyone know where the JC quest giver is?
