You only need one torch which drops from the Sunfury Flamekeepers that patrol around the camp.

Tents are the tent-looking things. (Durr!) These are scattered throughout, and both dome-shaped and flap tents count.

Ballista are the arrow-firing contraptions near archers. I found these near the upper levels of the base.

You dont' have to run around to all of the tents. Just clear your way to one, torch it, wait a few seconds for it to stop burning, and torch it again. Worked for me x 4.

You can torch two objects with one throw if you stand between the two.

The torch is not given to you by the quest giver (Lieutenant-Sorcerer Morran) as it suggests in the quest description when he says take this torch. Instead, you have to kill the flamekeepers once you get there to get the torches.

There is a lot of mis information here. I JUST did this quest. The first Flamekeeper dispatched dropped 2 . The duration of one is 5 mins. I torched all 8 objects at loc 56,79. After about 1 min, the flames subsided on the building and ballista, and i could use the same torch on the same object, and i got credit for it. Just stand here and pick them off. Its easy, and do ind33d The Sunfury Garrison...10 archers.. easy.

yea at 56,80 u can do both at the same time, w/no aggro cept a random flameguy but really simple n quick if u do it right in the middle one torch lights both up

I did what someone else did - just get beside one that doesn't have many Sunfury around and torch, wait for it to stop, repeat 4 times.

Just stand next to a tent or the ballista and right click the 'Flaming Torch' to ignite it.

I noticed that the blaze goes away after a moment or two so you can flame the same object multiple times.

LOL ya only need 1 torch i saw two torches drop so my first reaction was a pick up 1 per Ballista and tent... til i killed like 5 and went wtf? and realised ya need 1 that last 2mins...
clear it first makes it easy to get em all in one go!

Don't do what I did and walk onto the ballista bolts. Fell down between them, had to hearth.

Easiest thing to do so you don't lose your torch is just knock em all out as you go otherwise you'll have to go back and kill another torch holder to continue torching

1. Torching Sunfury Hold
• Accept the quest, Torching Sunfury Hold, from Lieutenant-Sorcerer Morran at coords 57.4, 86.2 (Kirin'Var Village).
• Travel north, to Sunfury Hold to the area of coords 56, 78.
• Kill a Sunfury Flamekeeper, and loot a Flaming Torch from the corpse.
• Use the Flaming Torch, to burn 4 Sunfury Tent, and 4 Sunfury Ballista.
• Travel south, to Kirin'Var Village, to coords 57.4, 86.2.
• Turn in the quest to Lieutenant-Sorcerer Morran.

Just attempted, as of 7.3.5 torching two at once does not appear to work. Found the two closest ballistas and found the two closest tents; neither gave credit for two at once. Still just a 20 sec cooldown though.

Description

Ridding Sunfury Hold of its garrison is not sufficient to keep the blood elves from reoccupying it. Kael'thas's followers are zealous and tenacious. Leaving them anything to use at Sunfury is effectively an invitation to return.

No, it must all be destroyed. See to it that their tents and artillery burn to ashes!
