Traveling Around Azeroth: A Transportation Guide

Travel Basics

Flight paths are what most players will use to travel between nearby zones. You must discover a flight path before using it for the first time--these are marked in green on your minimap.

We've got a page covering Riding: skill levels, mount types, speeds, and training costs. You can start off riding ground mounts at level 10, increasing your travel speed and learning how to fly at later levels.

Mages can port players to capital cities, as well as teleporting themselves.

A warlock's Ritual of Summoning is useful for straggler players left behind--and especially getting a low-level player to an otherwise inaccessible zone.

Summoning stones are also found outside major instances and raids. This summons individual players to the stone's location.

With Recruit a Friend, you can summon linked characters to each other's locations anywhere in the world. Recruit a Friend is great for quickly leveling characters, as there are triple experience and increased reputation gains, as well as bonus levels that can be granted to characters.

Many capital cities have portals to other capital cities--Dalaran and Vale of Eternal Blossoms have portals to major faction capitals in Azeroth, while Stormwind and Orgrimmar have portals (no questing to unlock required) for all Cataclysm zones.

There are many varied items that can port you to special locations, like guild capes and teleport tabards. The "Getting To:" sections of this guide include a map with mouseover travel details, as well as tabs describing every item and method of transportation, ranging from simple town portals to elaborate portals that can only be accessed after completing quest chains.

Hearthstones

All players can get a new hearthstone and change the location by talking to any innkeeper.

Hearthstones are on a 30-minute cooldown, and although there are many variations of Hearthstones, all of the ones that bring you to your desired inn share this cooldown.

There are some fancy versions of hearthstones:
The Innkeeper's Daughter is a Dwarven Archaeology solve that tells a tale about the darker side of Dwarven culture.

Ethereal Portal is a rare item from the Trading Card Game--when you hearth, a neon portal in the style of the Consortium Ethereals pops up.

Eternal Traveler's Hearthstone from pre-ordering the Shadowlands World of Warcraft expansion makes your character slowly vaporize from head to toe.

Holographic Digitalization Hearthstone from Mechagon turns you into a holograph and makes you salute.

Dark Portal is another rare item from the Trading Card Game--it creates a mini-version of the Dark Portal.

Ruby Slippers, a drop from the Opera event in Karazhan, are a clear reference to Dorothy's sparkling red shoes in the Wizard of Oz. They're boots with a hearthstone built in!

The Last Relic of Argus is the anti-hearthstone; on a 12 hour cooldown, it will port you to an obscure place--and generally in an odd position, like on a tree branch. However, if you're bored, let the Last Relic port you to an area and see what's around to do. Doesn't share a cooldown with Hearthstones, and has the added bonus of being a 5 second cast affected by haste.

Scroll of Recall, Scroll of Recall II, and Scroll of Recall III are also unpredictable. They port you to your Hearthstone's location, but don't share a cooldown--which is great. However, as you level up, the results become more unpredictable, so it's a bit of a gamble to use them.

Certain World Events provide Hearthstones with unique spell effects when cast :
Headless Horseman's Hearthstone from Hallow's End creates a ring of flames around you, while wearing a Hallowed Helm!

Greatfather Winter's Hearthstone from Feast of Winter Veil has you feeling the season's spirit with snow and a Red Winter Hat!

Lunar Elder's Hearthstone from Lunar Festival has you revering your elders, complete with fireworks!

Peddlefeet's Lovely Hearthstone from Love is in the Air has you turned into a cupid, complete with wings, a heart bow and arrow, and heart-shaped fireworks!

Fire Eater's Hearthstone from Midsummer's Festival puts a Midsummer tabard on your character and has you hold a torch, summon fire on your hands and around your feet, and shoots fireworks above your character's head!

Brewfest Reveler's Hearthstone from Brewfest will place mugs in your hands while having you dance and spill beer all over the floor and yourself.

Noble Gardener's Hearthstone from Noble Garden summons bunnies around your characters feet and spawns an egg and a basket in your hand, as well as adds bunny ears to your character's head.

Direbrew's Remote: Creates a mole machine in the style of Brewfest--anyone who clicks on it in your party/raid will be transported to the BRD bar. This item is obtained during Brewfest only.

Fun fact: Cap'n Placeholder was a temporary fix in WoW's beta, allowing players to travel between Menethil Harbor and Auberdine before boats were implemented. When the Menethil boat glitched on live, he was put back in game and instantly gained mass popularity since his travel was infinitely faster than waiting for the boat. Players were disappointed with his removal when the boats were fixed in April 2005 and even made a lament petitioning Blizzard to reinstate him. He's since shown up on the Cataclysm beta as a level 95 elite Horde dancing on the Goblin Rocketway in Azshara.

As this is in low-level Alliance territory, it's very difficult for Horde to get to, especially before LFD. Scooty by Grom'gol Base Camp will port you inside Gnomeregan now--before, it used to be even sweeter. Before Cataclysm, he gave a quest that rewarded Goblin Transponder, which ported Horde right outside Gnomeregan--perfect for Ironforge raids. For a brief period of time, Alliance could pick up this teleport as well.

Talk to the Honor Hold Mage/Thrallmar Mage in the Stormwind/Orgrimmar Portal Rooms to teleport to Blasted Lands.
Leaving Nethergarde Needs You!/Call of the Warmatron incomplete will also keep a portal from Silithus to Blasted Lands open.

The Grim Guzzler--Blackrock Depths, central EK.

Direbrew's Remote: Give your party a ride to the Grim Guzzler. (1 Hour Cooldown). Creates a mole machine in the style of Brewfest--anyone who clicks on it in your party/raid will be transported to the BRD bar. This makes for amusement when people click on it at unexpected times, like right before Alterac Valley starts. This item is obtained from Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest, a reward for killing Coren Direbrew.

Western Plaguelands--Northern EK.

Keeping the breadcrumb quest The Battle for Andorhal/The Battle for Andorhal will allow you access to a teleport from Booty Bay to Andorhal.

Alterac Valley, battleground in central EK.

Stormpike Insignia Rank 6/Frostwolf Insignia Rank 6 ports the user back to their faction's leader in Alterac Valley (must be already in the battleground), but the battleground has changed so much, it's not really essential. This is tied to a series of quests, starting with Proving Grounds/Proving Grounds, in which you get a new insignia at each reputation rank.

There are portals from Stormwind and Orgrimmar--unlike Wintergrasp, they do not despawn after a loss, or port you directly to the battle area.
Mages can also port/teleport level 85+ players to Tol Barad.

This is a 6th option rarely available from Wormhole Generator: Northrend. It ports you to a grate by the Horde section of Dalaran. Sitting at the bottom is undead engineer Kaye Toogie, who sells dragooning schematics in rare supply. Oh, and you'll need some sort of port or rocket boot malefaction to safely get out.

Black Temple, Shadowmoon Valley

Blessed Medallion of Karabor. 15 minute cooldown. This is the final reward from the Black Temple questline, which began with The Secret Compromised, goes onto cover Black Temple attunement, and ends with killing Illidan in The Fall of the Betrayer. It's an epic questline and one that players interested in lore should definitely do. Outland also doesn't have many transportation options, so this is an easy option for Archaeology transportation.

Another option added in Legion is Fractured Necrolyte Skull. This toy consumes a critter and then lets you port to the Black Temple. It is available for 0 Timewarped Badge during Burning Crusade Timewalking but the toy is account-wide and can be used throughout the year.

Getting to: Broken IslesDalaran

You can get to Dalaran via the Dalaran Hearthstone and mage portals.

In Legion Dalaran, many classes have portals to their Class Hall. Unlocking the portal to the Class Hall is simple. After you complete In the Blink of an Eye, you will end up in Legion Dalaran. Once in Legion Dalaran, an NPC will approach you with an urgent message (you may have to run around a little to get the NPC to spawn). This will start your Artifact Acquisition questline, which will award you an Artifact Weapon for one spec, unlock your Class Hall, open up your mission table, and quest map.

Many classes can use their Order Halls in one way or another to return to Dalaran:
Death Knights get an upgrade to Death Gate, as Acherus is moved south of Dalaran.

Druids can use Dreamwalk to get to their Order Hall and teleport to Dalaran from there.

Hunters with the Eagle Ally Order Hall advancement can use select Great Eagle scattered around the Broken Isles to fly to their Order Hall and port to Dalaran from there.

Mages get Teleport: Hall of the Guardian, which has an exit into Dalaran.

Monks can use Zen Pilgrimage to get to their Order Hall (after unlocking Legion content) and teleport to Dalaran from there.

Paladins can enter Dalaran from Light's Hope Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands. Their Order Hall, located within the chapel, has a portal to Dalaran.

Warriors can Jump to Skyhold from several locations within the Broken Isles, and land in Dalaran from their Order Hall.

To reach the nearest Legion flightmaster, use the Flight Master's Whistle. This is acquired through completing Uniting the Isles which requires Friendly with The Nightfallen, Court of Farondis, Highmountain Tribe, Dreamweavers, and Valarjar.

On Argus, you can travel around via unlocking teleportation waypoints. To instantly port to one of these waypoints, you will need Krokul Flute which requires Revered with the Argussian Reach faction.

Azsuna

One of the locations you can port to using the Stormwind and Orgrimmar Portal Rooms is inside the Crumbled Palace, in Azsuna. Within the Crumbled Palace, there are portals that can be used to return to Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

Suramar

Players can portal around Suramar with a series of portals opened up via questing and exploration. Unlocking all of the portals awards Now You're Thinking With Portals. Information on how to unlock the portals can be found in the Comprehensive Suramar Guide.

Players can teleport back to Shal'Aran from anywhere in Suramar via Mobile Telemancy Beacon.

This is probably the most comprehensive travel guide that I've seen. That said, there are some possible improvements that can be made:

Maps! It's a travel guide, yet it's completely text-based! Ever tried to navigate using only text directions from a site like Google? It can be maddening! I know this will increase the length of the guide, but the Table of Contents should be sufficient to get to the relevant areas.
Stormpike Insignia Rank 6 and Frostwolf Insignia Rank 6 both have multiple lower ranks that allow players to teleport, as well. This information is not as useful without knowing how to acquire the items; an additional sentence would add some clarity, "You get your first Insignia, Stormpike Insignia Rank 1 or Frostwolf Insignia Rank 1, from completing Proving Grounds or Proving Grounds, respectively."
A section on Mage portals and teleports would be useful. Non-mages do not always know which cities are available. Hmm; I wonder what will happen to Theramore in MoP?
The Recruit-A-Friend program offers an instant teleport for each of the participants. It's actually pretty sweet during the period that it is offered.
It'd be nice to see recommended Hearthstone locations. I still use Dalaran due to a lot of the vendor and trainer conveniences, the portal to Caverns of Time, and home city portals. Still the most convenient city, in my opinion.
The picture of the mole machine is cool, but might be confusing to certain players since you have a picture of it in the Tram. I'd consider an alternative picture, even if it's as basic as your avatar speaking with a flightmaster.
Speaking of which, no map of all the faction-specific flight paths? I found it tremendously helpful to use these maps out of game when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do that night, and how to get there most efficiently. Level 85 players with epic flying do not need a travel guide as much as noobs do, after all, and noobs use flight masters!

As I mentioned the guide is quite comprehensive, right down to the Engineer and Grim Guzzler transports! These are just a couple things that stood out to me that could be useful for new players as far as clarification and illustration goes. Thank you for writing this up, and excellent job!

For Horde characters that want to get to Teldrassil, go to the point of Darkshore that is closest then:

If you can fly, just fly over.
Get a water walking potion, and ride over the water. Just running isn't fast enough, but the lower level mount should be quick enough to get you across before you die of fatigue.
Druids with swimming form can swim across.

If you are too low level for any of these, you'll have to use the die and rez on the boat trick.

To get to Azuremyst Island, you have to take the boat since it is a hard zone transition. If you can fly, just fly down and land on the boat right after it starts moving. If you can't fly, use any of your sneaking on the enemy boat tricks.

Also worth noting are these quests you can have at certain locations in Northrend to quick port to Dalaran, accessible if your 74 and above.

You can use these ports indefinitely only 'if' you choose to never complete the quest, just as long as you let the quest (and the ring) hang in your quest log and inventory, you can use the various npc's to port you to Dalaran unlimited times.

I think the Getting to: Pandaria map is missing the Orgimmar portal to Honeydew Village, and maybe the corresponding Stormwind portal to Paw'don Village. The Locations tab lists them, but they're not listed on the map...

There's also the questchain in Icecrown that offers teleport to Moonglade and next part back from Moonglade to Argent Vanguard(Useful for druids for a quick flight to Dalaran for example).

Great guide. An important note tho, Wormhole Generator: Pandaria unlike the Northrend version, YOU CANNOT PICK. When you use it you get randomly ported to one of the locations. So it is only really good if you use that, and if u have bad luck port to shrine. Please fix. P.S. On Jade Forest map it doesn't have alliance/horde portals from their capital cities.

This guide is missing Lorewalker's Lodestone and Draenor Archaeologist's Lodstone, which if you dig up sites which you don't want to go to,you can take yourself somewhere ( or near somewhere) useful all the time. For example digging up all sites not near the shrine to have portal to the shrine. You will also get restored artifact need to buy it.

For Alliance, if you are in Azeroth and want to return to Draenor, get to Stormwind in any usual fashion, then...

From the Mage Tower in Stormwind, take the portal in the entry foyer to The Shattered Front in Blasted Lands. Then, fly/ride/run/walk to the Dark Portal which will now take you to Stormshield in Ashran.

I didn't see the Hellscream's Reach Tabard as a quick way to Org when using it ports you right in front of a portal to org. Just thought maybe you'd add like the brawler's ring. That is unless I some how missed it in another place on this guide.

It would be nice if you could include the Sholazar Basin Titan portal --> Un'goro Crater Titan Portal, as it is a very nice way to get from one of the two corners of Azeroth to another. Unlocking it requires having progressed in the SB quest-line

In 6.0.2, players can no longer take a portal to the Blasted Lands and then zone through the Dark Portal. Instead, there are ports to Hellfire Peninsula from capital cities.

You can speak to Zidormi who is off to the side of the road that connects the Blasted Lands with Swamp of Sorrows (48.2, 7.2). She will give you the Time Travelling buff and you will be able to use the Dark Portal to get to Outland. I believe once you are in Outland, you cannot use the Dark Portal to go back to Azeroth. There are portals to Stormwind/Orgrimmar nearby on the Stair of Destiny.

There is another way to get portaled to the Caverns of Time. If you accept the quest The End Time / The End Time in Stormwind / Orgrimar, you will get portaled to the beginning of the dungeon End Time. If you abandon the quest without turning it in, you can use this as a portal again.

We can also teleport between Gorgrond (74 24) and Timeless Isle (underwater cave near Rattleskew) by using Grim Campfire (note: you must sit in a chair to be able to use the campfire).

I imagine this would take a bit of time but, if you want to really go the extra mile, it would be a valuable addition to add a section that simply lists all of the obtainable items, their port-to location, and maybe a restriction (Horde only, removed in patch x, etc). I was searching for such a list when I found this guide and I'll be able to refer back here in the meantime.

The lorewalker's lodestone from lorewalker's exalted teleports you to an active digsite in pandaria. This is nice because there is barely any way to get to pandaria if not engy. It costs 1 restored artifact and you can hold 20

This is a very handy guide. It has made my life easier as I have traveled around farming for rare mounts. Still I have found one way to get to Outland that works very well for me Ever-Shifting Mirror with ever-shifting mirror allowing a fast warp between Outland and Draenor not only does it make me smile to see the timeline match up it makes it much easer to get to tempest keep and kill Kael all over again

It used to be the case that you could not take a flight path from Point A to Point B unless you knew all the necessary flight paths between the two points. This was changed so that you will now get the most direct flight to your destination between any two points that you know, even if you do not know all of the required intermediate points.

I think it's important for this Guide to point out that the default routing is not always the most economical. For new characters (and especially for new players), It is now easy to wind up paying tens of silvers, or being denied passage, for a trip that could cost coppers if you went a different way. For example, if you are in Ironforge and ask for Goldshire, you will be routed via Thorium Point to Stormwind and thence to Goldshire for a fare of over 14 silvers. This could be prohibitive for new player on a low-level character. But you could ask for Stormwind (40 coppers—and if you're really counting coppers, the Deeprun Tram is free) and once there, ask for Goldshire (free!). A large difference to a character short on coin!

Also, with respect to the trick of using Hellfire Peninsula portals to the Stair of Destiny and then turning around and porting through to Stormwind/Orgrimmar, it should be noted that on PvP realms, this will raise your battle flag since you are passing through contested territory, whereas taking a flight path will leave your flag down, as will a boat or zeppelin if you are not traveling through contested or enemy territory. Horde players who take passage on the zeppelin between Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff should note that since the zeppelin does not teleport and passes through contested territory en route, on PvP realms your flag will go up as you cross the Southern Barrens and remain up for 5 minutes after arrival.

Rejoice! I saw no mention of this anywhere but it seems that with the legion pre-patch the portals that take you to Cataclysm zones (Level 80 - 85) no longer require you to do their introduction questline to open their respective portal, which is to say, the portal is now open from the get-go.

Another easy way is to take the Blasted Lands portals from other major cities, go through the Dark Portal, and then take the port by the Stairs of Destiny, Hellfire Peninsula, to Stormwind.

This should be changed to "...take the Hellfire Peninsula portals from other major cities, and then take the port by the Stairs of Destiny, Hellfire Peninsula, to Stormwind/Orgrimmar."

Also, you're missing the Exodar, Ironforge, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City, Karazhan, Dalaran Crater, Wyrmrest Temple, Caverns of Time, and Shattrath portals from Dalaran, Broken Isles.

It also might be worth adding that Paladins can access Light's Hope Chapel from Dalaran.

Something I don;t see on here is that flying skills don't have to be bought if you wait long enough. For example, if you wait until lvl 72 (iirc), you get flying without buying it (so long as you already have the riding skill from lvl 40). And (though it's no longer going to matter) you could get Cold Weather flying for free at lvl 82 or 83 if you hadn't bought it yet.

This was something I discovered while mass leveling alts right around legion release.

I noticed that this guide does not mention any of the Druid-only options for getting around other than Teleport: Moonglade.

Nature's Beacon is a Druid-only toy which teleports you to one of nine natural locations around Azeroth:

Bough Shadow, Ashenvale
Seradane, Hinterlands
Twilight Grove, Duskwood
Dream Bough, Ferelas
Golakka Hot Springs, Un'goro Crater
Grizzlemaw, Grizzly Hills
Oracle Glade, Teldrassil
Nordrassil, Mount Hyjal
Lunarwing Shallows, Val'sharah

It used to be much more useful (when it had no cooldown), but given it's quick cast, and fairly reliable location destinations, it's still handy if you're too low a level to use the Emerald Dreamway.

Speaking of which, Emerald Dreamway provides quick access to seven permanent portals to locations around Azeroth:

Twilight Grove, Duskwood
Dream Bough, Feralas
Ursoc's Den, Grizzly Hills
Seradane, The Hinterlands
Stormrage Barrow Dens, Moonglade
Nordrassil, Mount Hyjal
The Dreamgrove, Val'sharah

There's this portal in Dalaran Crater: Portal to the Sepulcher

It teleports you to Silverpine Forest, and there's also a similar portal there that teleports you back to the Crater. I think this one is related to some quest and is probably Horde-only.

There are a few other teleportation items not in this guide, all added in Legion or later.

Intra-Dalaran Wormhole Generator: Randomly teleports the user a short distance within Broken Isles Dalaran. Appears to have 3-5 uses (not shown on tooltip). Crafted by Engineers at Legion skill level 20.

Wormhole Generator: Argus: Requires a level 110 minimum character (in spite of the tooltip showing 98) with Legion Engineering skill 1.

Emblem of Margoss: This single-use BOP item teleports the user to a small floating island near Dalaran. Only one can be held in inventory at a time. Fished up from the Black Market in Broken Isles Dalaran sewers.

Strange Dimensional Shard: Single use, stacks to 200. Looted from Broken Shore chests and the Armies of Legionfall paragon cache. Works like a small series of mage blinks that move you a short distance.

Scroll of Town Portal: Faronaar, Scroll of Town Portal: Lian'tril, Scroll of Town Portal: Kal'delar, Scroll of Town Portal: Shala'nir, and Scroll of Town Portal: Sashj'tar teleport you to various Nightfallen ruins in the Broken Isles. Looted from Small Treasure Chests in the Withered Army Training scenario in Suramar.

Scroll of Town Portal, Tome of Town Portal: Only available during the Diablo 20th Anniversary event (January 4-11, 2017). 10 single-use Scroll of Town Portal can be combined with Blank Diabolic Tome to create the permanent hearthstone toy.

Headless Horseman's Hearthstone: Turns your character into the Headless Horseman for the duration of your hearthstone's cast time. Sold by Hallow's Eve vendors for 150 Tricky Treats starting in 2018. As with the other hearthstone toys (The Innkeeper's Daughter, Ethereal Portal, Dark Portal), the fact that it's a toy means you can feel free to delete your hearthstone to save a bag slot.
There are also three additional possible future holiday-themed hearthstone toys in the Wowhead database:

That's not exactly true.

You can buy it on your main character (cost me 84 gold, so it seems rep discouts are welcome here) and send it to your alt char. ANY ALT. It is "Blizzard account bound", so it can be send to opposite faction char as well (and 7th Legion Scouting Map becomes Honorbound Scouting Map).
AND after your alt use it... it's still usable for all of your other alts. I used it on all of my chars, still have it and still can mail it to another, when it hits 110.

Yes. It works like a toy, but it's not a toy. Deal with it ;)

As of the March 12, 2019 portal changes to WoW's 'older' zones, the referenced points to Shattrath and Northrend Dalaran, in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, second floor of Shrine of Seven Stars or Shrine of Two Moons, no longer exist.

The portal spaces where they once were, including their flags/banners, are still there. But the ONLY portal remaining in the Shrine is the one to Stormwind/Orgrimmar.

I checked on two characters: one that had completed Loremaster in Pandaria, and one that never quested in Pandaria at all.

How do you get to the Blasted lands now? The Thrallmar Mage next to the Shath just talks to me. He has no options to port me. I'm tyring to unlock the Mag'har Orcs ... I already had to hot foot it from Silithis to CoT since they took out that portal... now I don't have a way to get to the blasted lands? Do the boats from ratchet to Booty Bay still work? That might be the fastest way now....

The "Getting to ..." section of this list is in dire need of an update. Many of the portals mentioned there, no longer exist. Eg. the Stormshield => Darnassus one.

Hi, I was Wandering today and I spent half an hour finding the portal to the Molten Front (where I have not been since a few years).
I think it might have been forgotten in this guide I peruse about 12 times a week.
The missing portal is located in Hyjal 27.52 56.14.

You can use portal for dungeon pet battles in Dalaran (Broken Isle). Hordes can port to Deadmines and fly to Karazhan.

The statement about having to purchase the Kul Tiras / Zandalar flight maps for each character is untrue - the items are account bound and not consumed.

I have said this before and I'm going to say it again: I want my portal to Blasted Lands back!
It made it easy to get to Hellfire Peninsula (no, Shattrah is not the easy way there), it made it easy to get to Karazhan/Deadwind Pass.

And before you begin with the thrallmar mage: that guy stops working at some point, don't know when, don't care when, I want him to either work all the time no matter where your character is questing-wise or have the portal to Blasted Lands back

When creating a level 60 in the Shadowlanda beta, you don't have a Dalaran Hearthstone. To obtain it:

1. Use the portal to Azsuna in Stormwind or Org.
2. Fly to Dalaran
3. Talk to Amisi Azuregaze and ask for a dalaran hearthstone

This will likely apply to new characters.

Most of the information about Blasted Lands portal is lacking or out of date.

Thrallmar Mage didn't provide a portal at all, saying that the portal to Shattrath was a safest option
There's no portal near A'dal for the Blasted Lands either

My guess is once you did the introductory quests for Draenor, you no longer have the option.

Hi there, great guide! Quick one to add for Outland --- you CAN still get to Hellfire Penninsula (seeing a lot of comments here that you have to go to Shattrath, but you don't).

For alliance, at the entrance of the mage tower/portal room there are 4 mages - talk to Honor Hold Mage (front left) and the option he gives is "I must report immediately to the Dark Portal!". Pick it and you're right there :) My understanding is Horde has a similar person (Thrallmar Mage), in their Orgrimmar portal room next to the Shattrath portal.

The guide says druids can Dreamwalk then take an Ashenvale portal, but that is not the case. Apparently there's a toy that'll take you there, but it's not a Dreamwalk option.

Great guide. I noticed that some things are missing regarding Shadowlands.

There is a whormhole portal for Shadowlands that Engineers can craft.

Also there are quite a few more Scouting Maps to buy.

Regarding the Travel Basics: You might add the possibility to use the Chauffeured Chopper. This lets you ride a mount before learning ANY riding skill and regardless of your level.

There are also Stormwind Portal Stone and Orgrimmar Portal Stone, given when you accept initial Legion quest Legion: The Legion Returns / Legion: The Legion Returns. If you do not turn in this quest (and do not unlock Legion content) you can keep it forever and have another item with 2 hour CD to teleport you to your capital city.

BTW, I recall that during many quests there is friendly NPC which can you teleport somewhere or give you teleportation item. When quest is not turned in, usually it is possible to use them multiple times. Please update this guide with list of them.

There is a new addon called Portal Helper in Curseforge. It will tell you which portals to take and give TomTom arrows guiding you to your next portal. If you don't know where the portals are or which ones go where, this is the addon for you.
