This is one of the Dungeons for the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor.

There are four boss encounters.

Shadowmon Burial Grounds Encounter Notes

Sadana Bloodfury Ritualist.

Deathspike A multi-strike Trigger, causing three additional strikes.
Dark Communication Calls a spirit to the caster in order to consume it. If possible, this spirit needs to be slowed, stunned, and killed, as it will heal the caster when it reaches.
Daggerfall Random target massive damage, after which the dagger is stuck in the ground and deals an AOE every second. Stay clear or the dagger whenever possible.
Whispers of the Dark Star a channeled spell dealing damage every second. Has a massive range, and is most likely unavoidable, unless the spell can be interrupted?
Dark Eclipse Massive damage, corrupts the runes.
Lunar Purity Touch the uncorrupted runes of light to obtain this buff, in order to survive the ritual.

Nhallish, Feaster of Souls

Planar Shift Teleports to a player.
Void Vortex Pulls people in, does shadow damage.
Void Blast DOT that deals a nice chunk of shadow damage per second.
Void Devastation 15 seconds of shadow magic barrage.
Exhume the Crypts Necromancy, possibly raises undead adds.
Soul Possession Nhallish rips your soul from your body.
Soul Shred Damage dealt every second while your soul is separated from your body.
Returned Soul You deal increased damage. Occurs when you recapture your soul within 20 seconds.

Bonemaw Bonemaw - Because we needed another Magmaw

Necrotic Pitch Damage and movement reduction. Can help you to avoid Inhale.
Corpse Breath
Fetid Spit Spits on a target in melee range. If no one is in melee range, it gets nasty.
Body Slam Throws his body on the ground, dealing frontal cone damage and knocking the damaged players back.
Inhale Attempts to Inhale the group, pulling them towards him. Massive damage is taken if the player reaches his creepy mouth, and the damaged players are removed from the platform.

Carrion Worm

Fetid Spit Spits on a target in melee range. If no one is in melee range, it gets nasty.
Body Slam Throws his body on the ground, dealing frontal cone damage and knocking the damaged players back.

Ner'zhul This entry seems incomplete, but this is what's currently included:

Malevolence Slams the ground, causing a significant, and possibly fatal amount of damage in front of the caster.
Omen of Death A large chunk of seemingly unavoidable AOE damage, with a massive range. Does more damage the closer you are.
Ritual of Bones A marching army. Damage inflicted every second to "those who stand in the shadow wake". Kill the Ritual of Bones.

Wow. They go to the trouble of voicing the lines for a scene that makes it clear Ner'zhul was strong-armed into the Iron Horde, and strong-armed again into making a terrible choice. Why, then, do they make him sound like such a terrible guy? Why not let us at least face one tragic enemy in this expansion?

Downed Ner'zhul for the first time today... upon beating him, his body fell right under the portal for the instance. Without thinking, I clicked on the spot and got ported out! I re-entered the instance via the dungeon finder icon, and was ported to the Bonemaw spot. I ran towards Ner'zhul but I'm blocked by the stone wall before the fight! I'm a hunter and I see the Ner'zhul arena is full of strong reanimated bones, so even if I were able to run back.....

To add insult to injury, when I left the instance group I was then ported to outside the instance, rather than where I was before I entered the dungeon :(

After pouting for a few minutes that I might've missed loot, I remembered that Blizz added the feature to mail me any items I missed, so I'm happy for that, but I wish I didn't go through the panic of thinking I missed my loot!

Have yet to have a pug who can coordinate and dps enough to kill marked skeleton during Ritual of Bones. This and other lvl 100 instances so far are along the lines of raids in terms of how technical they are. Alot of mechanics to manage, and handle, alot of pugs are not able to manage this stuff. (speaking as a tank here).

Shadowmoon Burial Grounds entrance location 31.9, 42.5 in Shadowmoon Valley, tucked behind some steps on the bottom level of the courtyard. Nearest flightpoints for Alliance are Embaari Village or Twilight Glade, or use Aviana's Feather right from your garrison. Nearest neutral flightpoint for Horde is Exile's Rise.

If you don't use coordinates, it's inside the square/diamond courtyard beneath the words "ANGUISH FORTRESS" on the Shadowmoon Valley map, on the southwest side of the diamond.

This dungeon grants reputation during Draenor Dungeon Event:

Reputation is awarded per mob you kill in Mythic and Heroic dungeons during this event. 20 per trash mob, 400 per boss.
Different Dungeons award rep with specific factions.
Arakkoa Outcasts: Skyreach
Steamwheedle Preservation Society: Bloodmaul Slag Mines, Upper Blackrock Spire
Sha'tari Defense/Laughing Skull Orcs: Auchindoun, The Everbloom (no Trading Post required)
Council of Exarchs/Frostwolf Orcs: Shadowmoon Burial Grounds, Iron Docks, Grimrail Depot

To gain even more reputation in dungeons, build a Level 3 Trading Post for a 20% gain.

it took 7-8 attempts, and 200gold in repairs.

The Leader is critical, as he (or they) have to choose quickly 1/10 of the 3(three) line-ups of skeletons that start marching towards your group, and put up some kindof target marker, like a red x.

focus fire, then every of the 5-man can run through the gap that opens

and defeat the boss

my pug fell apart a good 4 times, before we got enough solid to finish it, waiting time

oh, the last line-up of 3 line-ups of skels, comes faster, and the one you choose is more difficile to despatch

CHALLENGE MODE TIPS

Some of the following neat tricks require specific classes, but can shave time off to let you snag that Gold you may be gunning for!

Obviously these tips can also be used on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulties, although they are not as necessary.

Sadana Bloodfury

If you move Saldana outside of the ring of runes and towards the entrance to the room, you can effectively avoid having to the kill Defiled Spirit throughout the encounter and focus all DPS on her. You will have to dodge Daggerfall when they spawn, but the range for each is only 4 yards, so it is easy to avoid.
Defiled Spirits are adds that walk slowly towards the boss during Dark Communion, and will heal and buff the boss if they reach her before her channel of Dark Communion is complete (it is 20 seconds long). If the add DOES NOT reach her by the end of the cast, it despawns!

Position a player inside the circle of runes to be positioned to deal with the add when it spawns.

The best class to assign to the add is a Hunter. Binding Shot is extremely effective if used when the add spawns, with Concussive Shot following to keep it slowed until it despawns.

Although I have not tested this personally, a Shaman may be able to do the same with the use of , Earthgrab Totem/, and subsequently with +/- Thunderstorm.

TL;DR: Slow, root and stun the Defiled Spirit add for the duration of Dark Communion to avoid having to waste DPS on killing it.

Nhallish

During Void Devastation, when purple pools spawn all over the ground and must be avoided, the use of the reflective abilities can put a MASSIVE DoT on the boss, thus shortening the encounter significantly.

Abilities that work include:

To make use of this, pop the appropriate reflective ability, and stand in a purple void zone until it disappears to put the DoT on the boss. Be sure not to stand in any other pools!

TL;DR: Reflect a purple pool onto the boss during Void Devastation if you have such an ability.

Ner'zhul

During the Ritual of Bones, a Hunter or Shaman can COMPLETELY negate this mechanic, thus saving you a lot of DPS which would have been wasted on the Ritual of Bones add.

Abilities that work include:

Shaman - with Charred Glyph
Hunter - Deterrence with Charred Glyph

To execute this, when Ritual of Bones starts, the shaman should use (or the hunter use Deterrence) and then that player should STAND IN the purple ground effect behind the Ritual of Bones skeleton. This will reflect the damage onto that add, thus clearing a space for your group WITHOUT even attacking it at all! Keep in mind that the add will take a few seconds to die, as it needs to take a couple ticks of damage.

As Ritual of Bones comes every 50-55 seconds or so, a hunter can handle two consecutive rituals, and a third if is talented (if Deterrence is used early in the first Ritual of Bones, it should be off CD late in the third one). A shaman can handle every Ritual of Bones phase even with a glyphed .

Note: In theory, this should also work with Spell Reflection/, although I haven't tested it. The uncertainty lies in the fact that 2 ticks of damage are required to kill the Ritual of Bones add, so this ability may not be enough.

TL;DR: Reflect the purple swirls of death during Ritual of Bones to kill the adds and clear space very easily.

I had two inn quests in here, I always do the dungeon and look for the items later, because I don't want to slow down the party. But this time when I returned the entire instance was reset, even the bosses. I'm not sure why but the only explanation that comes to my mind is the dreanor rep event. Can anyone confirm?

when i try to enter im blocked off by some big purple shield keeping me from getting any further than the top of the stairs, why? do i need to beat some quest chain or something?...
