OverviewFor untold millennia, the Army of the Light waged war against the Burning Legion throughout the Twisting Nether. The draenei most committed to their long crusade would undergo a ritual to become Lightforged, infusing their bodies with the very essence of the Holy Light. After finally achieving victory on Argus, the Lightforged draenei have undertaken a new mission: protecting Azeroth from rising threats and helping the Alliance push back against Horde aggression.Prerequisites

You must have Battle for Azeroth purchased.

You must complete some pre-requisites to access the Lightforged Draenei questlines:
You Are Now Prepared! requires completion of the Argus storyline, which should take several hours to complete. Reference the Comprehensive Argus Guide if you need assistance with any quest.

Exalted with Army of the Light may take several weeks to obtain, as you can only earn a limited amount of reputation through World and Emissary quests. Reference the Army of the Light Reputation Guide for details on which Argus zone quests provide reputation.

Allied Races: Lightforged Draenei

The achievement also awards you with the mount Lightforged Felcrusher. This can be used by all Alliance characters.

At level 20, start questing in Westfall and then move onto the adjacent areas like Duskwood, Redridge Mountains, and Northern Stranglethorn. Darkshore and Loch Modan are also efficient leveling zones and can be easily reached if you have heirlooms that teach flight paths.

When deciding between Outland or Northrend, Northrend is an overall more diverse continent.

When deciding between Pandaria and Cataclysm, go to Pandaria and mainly follow zones that focus on the Pandaren culture - The Jade Forest, Valley of the Four Winds, Dread Wastes.

In Warlords, focus on treasures and bonus objectives - this goes much faster with flying!

Legion Assault GuideDraenei-themed Leveling Zones

Before level 60, check out Bloodmyst Isle to learn about the Draenei and Blasted Lands to experience the Dark Portal.

Outland has a much larger Draenei presence than Northrend, so you'll want to quest through Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, and Shadowmoon Valley.

The Draenei don't have much of a presence in either Pandaria or Cataclysm zones, but you may find the trainees at the Tian Monastery to have similarities to the training and drive of the Lightforged.

Shadowmoon Valley and Talador are perfect Warlords zones to learn more about the Draenei and follow Yrel's story.

Hunter: Beast Mastery is a really strong solo specialization, with a stronger arsenal of pets available and huge utility both from talents to learned abilities, which leads to an easier leveling experience.

Mage: Frost Mages have a lot of control from snares and roots and can easily kite mobs, while having significant burst damage from using the triple damage component of Ice Lance in order to stay healthy.

Paladin: With its amazing survivability and area of effect damage, Protection paladins can easily clear up multiple groups of mobs. You will also be able to level using dungeons far more easily, due to tanks' usually instant queues.

Priest: Shadow is the only Priest dedicated DPS spec, which gives the edge to it against Discipline and Holy, being able to apply damage-over-time effects on many different enemies and getting healed by that damage is really helpful while leveling.

Warrior: Arms is a straightforward damage dealer who uses a single two-handed weapon to attack, and Victory Rush to sustain themselves from combat to combat.

Heirlooms GuideTravel and Flying

At level 20 you can train the ability to ride ground mounts (Apprentice Riding). At 40 you can train the ability to ride ground mounts even faster (Journeyman Riding).

In Patch 7.3.5, Blizzard removed the extra flying training requirements for Northrend zones. Simply train Expert Riding at level 60. At level 70, you can further train to increase flying speed to 280%. Artisan Riding costs from a Riding trainer.

One way to same some time traveling are heirlooms that teach you all flight paths in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

If you have a Mage friend, you can have him port you to places with portals to all cities, like Dalaran in the Broken Isles, or the Shrine of Seven Stars in Pandaria.

Comprehensive Transportation GuideConsumables and Bags

Have extra bag space so you can pick up more items along the way. If you have a Legion tailor, Silkweave Satchel is a cheap bag to craft and mail over. Check out the Big Bag Guide if you need help finding some bags.

Food and drink are useful to increase your health and mana while out of combat. Instead of waiting for your health to regenerate between fighting mobs, now you can speed the process up.

Has the Vindicaar moved back to Azeroth? Is it near Stormwind or the Exodaar now?

I would suggest mentioning that it's worth leveling in Demon heavy zones, like Outland, because of the Lightforged Draenei racial ability Demonbane.

Darkshore, Felwood, Ashenvale (I'm sure more) also have strong demon influence for leveling up.

Power Word: Shield is not for all 3 specs. Holy priests don´t have it.

Do you get the other three armor variants when you reach 110? If not, then do you have to buy it from a vendor, or level up three other lightforged?

I can see how there would be class restrictions, but will there be level restrictions on the race changing ability? Could I change my level 110 Human paladin into a 110 Lightforged Draenei paladin?

Just from my personal experience. In Classic I am at my 3rd zone and leveled a little bit in Dungeons, used the Darkmoon Fair's quest items and a few fishing and cooking dailies. Sitting at the brim of becoming level 60. I am loving that the quest items scale and the amount of experience you get also scales. It is a nice quality of life addition.

Is is also worth mentioning about getting the Stormwind Tabard as soon as you get to Stormwind. The bonus reputation gained should allow you to reach Exalted before level 60. With the reputation at Exalted you can get a discount on Flying. It was 200 G with the discount.

I replaced the Tabard with the Renowned Guild Tabard once I hit Exalted.
