The Azshara/N'zoth/Void Jaina expansion seems likely. Alas, probably no playable etherals for awhile yet.
Given the Blizzcon artwork it seems obvious Jaina will be involved. With the hints of a void/old God themed expansion I'm thinking the Old Gods are going to make a comeback, and maybe this time we'll get a glimpse of N'zoth.
I believe that the next expansion will deal with the Old Gods moving once again, seeing the containment of the Legion as their moment to shine. I expect us to move against several of them, with perhaps each having their own raid. Regardless, I don't want an underwater zone. No more nausea! :-)
I wish we could see more of that Sylvanas - Greymane storyline, however I think their fighting didn't take place at the best time. I mean, hello, Legion is here, and these two only fights each other while demons attacking our planet everywhere and in every minute. I know, Alliance and Horde must be enemies and players need some PvP stuff... But still, they're just like Jaina: didn't do much useful to help us. Anyways, I found the storyline interesting especially when Greymane and Sylvanas met in Stormshield, then ...they just cut the story! It's not fair. About new classes and races... I know we have enough elven races, but both Horde and Alliance could get the Nightborne race, with lesser restrictions (for example Nightbornes could be warlocks unlike Nelfs, or even druids unlike belfs) Naga and murloc races wouldn't make too much sense. Naga maaaaay be, if they would work like demon hunters and their demon forms. And a new class with some void-related skills and still being a hunter? Nah, reroll a shadow priest then. Blizzard couldn't really fix survival hunters either, how could they bring in a few totally new hunter specialization? Of course, it could be good, I just found it weird right now.
I don't think we will be getting any new classes or races. They already have enough on their plate with the current number of classes, and they had trouble coming up with a third spec for Demonhunters. They might have some sort of 'sub race' cosmetics, however.I expect the next Expac storyline to start off with no overarching threats, like Pandaria did. It will be mostly us going around and stoping various groups from trying to use the Titan's Blood to fulfill their goals. Jaina, Sylvanas will likely start as opponents, then as things advance, likely jump over to our side as revelations occur. I expect, at the end of the opening raids, we will realize that Azshara was the one behind everything, to distract us and get the Titan's Blood for herself.N'zoth will likely be the last boss we face, with maybe some Void Lord assistance in the Mythic fight.
Can't wait to see Jaina back, I enjoyed her being all angry and vicious! People have been calling for playable ethereals for awhile, since TBC, sounds good to me.
Pretty sure we get to fight N'Zoth next. Though I agree he will probably not be in the first or second Raid.I also hope there are Questlines for each spec again, but I'd prefer a whole Campaign per spec, since only the Artifact Quest was per spec (not counting Artifact challenge since those were not exclusive to a spec). We now have two classes, Warlock and Demonhunter fighting felfire with felfire. But we also have the Shadowpriest fighting with the equally 'evil' powers of the Void, heck even the main ressource is called Insanity.I would just love to see my Shadowpriest have a little 'chat' with the Voidlords.
Probably the return of the Black Empire.I just hope they dont go down the Garrosh road with Sylvanas or Jaina. As for a new race I am almost certain Nightborne will become playable.
I certainly don't have as good of a grasp of all the little details, these videos and dicussions help a lot. I can't help but wonder what roles alleria and turalyon will have later on, and what sorts of things we can expect from the light. I feel like the light and void are just two opposite extremes of the same thing, and one cannot rly exist without the other. Seeing Xe'ra's fanaticism this xpack makes me wonder what else the light might be that we do not understand yet.
Awsome story!
Okay, I know we've seen troll dungeons forever, but as a Troll without a faction leader, I'd really like some closure to that. While I'd like Vol'jin back, I don't think that makes sense for the story. Perhaps something like he can whisper with the loa to help the new troll leader, in an Obi-wan kind of way.
Since Jaina is featured in the main key art of Blizzcon, I'm sure that she will play a big part. Maybe along with her, the Silver Covenant will be featured. And thus, playable High Elves on the Alliance....It's a pipe dream I've been clinging to ever since 2012.
I'm really hoping for a chill expansion. I mean, after defeating the burning legion a little exploration would be amazing. Something like MoP with discovering lost continent. Also I would love to see more character customization like subraces.
naga as playable race!
A void expansion has been suggested since the beginning of Legion I think, and practically confirmed with the Alleria storyline. I hope to see more of Locus Walker, playable ethereals and shadowhunter class!
Ok for Antorus I think that it's not just they use the power of Argus to revive demons faster but to bring the ones who died in the Twisting Nether back.I believe the demons do regenerate in the Nether when killed outside it and stay dead when killed inside that hasn't changed. We know the power of a titan is Arcane the opposite of Fel so while Fel is destruction so I believe Acane would be creation. So they harness that to make new bodies for the demons, and Antorus acts as a giant magnet drawing in the souls for rebirth whether killed in the Twisting Nether or not, and the time it takes for the demons to be reborn falls on a scale of success vs failure, the worse the failure the longer it takes for them to come back because of punishment and they won't be the highest priority to bring back, while the ones who win a great victory or played a major role in gaining victory come back sooner cause the showed their value to the Legion.
I know it's a bit much of an ask of Blizzard, but I remember a while back we reached a point where post-Cataclysm Azeroth has been in the game longer than vanilla. I wouldn't mind another Azeroth revamp, this time being attacked by the Old Gods and the Void instead of Deathwing, with level scaling zones completely revamped including Northrend, maybe merging some zones, new stories to level through. You can choose to level either on Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor like now, but the end of the expansion would be in Northrend, with something to do with the Lich King and Yogg Saron.I know it's controversial to completely revamp the game again, but most people playing now are totally done with low level levelling, and as it is now we have a completely bizarre and fractured levelling experience. You start at a time after the events of BC and Wrath from 1-60, then go back in time to Outland, then back to Cataclysm times to get a quest to go back in time again to Northrend, then to Cataclysm content, then to Mists where Garrosh has suddenly appeared in cutscenes and is the main antagonist when he wasn't even known to new players at all before, then some more time travel/parallel universe stuff in WoD then back to Azeroth where Cataclysm stuff is still happening in the old zones, but the Legion is invading. It's a mess that needs to be fixed.
Some people think the next expansion won't deal with the Old Gods / void, yet, but I think that it will. I think that we will start to see the ramifications of the Army of the Light (including Alleria's new skills) and how the shadow starts to respond in kind (Antorus could be an early example of these kind of diametrics). I wish I knew more, but I think "death god" Lich King will play a part somehow as well. Playable Naga? That, I'm less sure about, but the Old God (sleeping underneath the deeps) connection exists. Woo!
I keep having this sneaky suspicion that Blizz is going to take a surprising twist in the next expac. Everyone is looking at the void, I have a feeling we are going to see a shake up in the unsteady peace currently on Azeroth and we will be brought back to war, and maybe a change to the Alliance/Horde structure, before we go fight the old gods.
I think with the story so far and that the legion was supposedly formed to stop the void... stoping the legion means now we have to stop the void
