This is a really cool guide! One thing though, while I was looking at the tier 10 acquisition and where the sanctification marks are from, I noticed that you forgot to mention they drop of the Deathbringer too :D
TRASH LIFE FOr dks ,,no have brutals,no have warrior low lvls sets wtf, LK and CAta sets is vry vry ugly OMG i go stop playing with my dk!i go see my friends with a beautifull gear and me trash gear...blizz fail!
I have a question about the Transmogrifying, On my warrior i have a Pole-arm weapon and an two-hand axe. Can i Transmogrifying the Axe into the Pole-arm image or it have to be a other two-hand axe that i have to Transmogrifying the image into?
How about same armour type but different class tiers?I would be keen to get T2 Paladin for my DK. ;p
@kyver--That will be covered in a later guide. It's mentioned in the introduction, but there's a lot of text :) I am thinking of having one guide be on interesting weapons/armor while the other will cover look-alike tier and matching green sets. It is a lot to code!@Skull--From what I understand, you have to keep it that same weapon type--except bows/guns/xbows can be interchangeable. I don't believe there's been any further details yet on it.
Now as far as this guide goes, the only thing I would add would be the locations of the gear that matches these tier sets. Such as boots, belts etc. With very few exceptions all of these tier sets have pieces that match that fill out the set. Like Karazhan holds alot of the matching pieces for the tier 4. For those interested it should also be noted (to my knowledge anyway) that some sets such as the season 1 arena gear (the tier 4 look alike gear you buy at the shattered sun offensive) no longer has boots and belts that match, making these sets rather incomplete (unless Blizz adds in that option to get things that are no longer available). Just thought i would throw in my 2 cents.
Maybe I'm confused here, why would you need to go get old tier armor when you can just change the appearance of your new armor?Do you have to have the old stuff to make the Transmogrifying work?
Guide is really good, lot of information in there. There's of course some things that aren't covered, and that's understandable, but they can be looked up in a matter of seconds.
I dunno how, but I will make my Death Knight look like a Paladin... somehow.
Great guide, brings back some memories! There was also a ilvl 115 Dungeon 3 Set from TBC dungeons, such as the Hallowed set for priests.edit: found Link to the sets
@Zulunia Covering that in a later guide :) The Dungeon Set 3 has bonuses for certain classes--however, any class can equip them. So I'll save them for the guide on look-alike tier, as many Dungeon Set 3 sets somewhat resemble removed Naxx gear.
blizz is going through all this trouble and I don't get to have a fish shield!god damn itI don't want to look cool, I want to like crazy person fresh out of the asylum. Shovel and fish in hand ready to rock some heroics, stop cratering to vain elitist and give the crazy people some love.
I'm sure you can do well finding mismatched crazy gear on the AH and there's some weird weapons with design elements like floating eyeballs or beer bottles out there.
Perc guides are the best guides. But quick, remove the shaman t6 section... I don't need more people wearing that with me >.>
Could you add the T2 re-colors that were add in as non set's in TBC plz 8)
