Bonus Roll Loot, Patch 6.1.2 PTR Build 19728 - The WoW Token; Live Hotfixes for March 5th
Spirit and Bonus Armor on Personal Loot
Community Manager Lore has made a post explaining changes related to personal loot for tanks and healers:
Both Spirit and Bonus Armor are intended to help restrict the number of people in a given raid who may be interested in a particular item. The OP makes a perfect argument as to why we want that distinction: he wanted the Blackiron Micro Crucible, but had resigned himself to only really having a shot at it from a bonus roll or a cache as there were so many others in his raid group who wanted it too. That's a crappy situation.
Bonus Armor is currently working well for creating that distinction. DPS specializations don't get anything from it, but it's far and away the best stat for tanks -- so much so that tanks will nearly always prefer an item that grants Bonus Armor over an item that doesn't, even if the item with no Bonus Armor is much higher in item level.
Prior to 6.1, we were getting a ton of feedback from tanks who were extremely disappointed to receive trinkets, rings, etc. with no Bonus Armor through their bonus rolls. It felt like a waste of a seal or cache to get something that your loot spec would realistically never equip. Plus, it's a bit of a false lead for inexperienced players; if Blizzard gave me a higher item level crit/multistrike amulet via bonus rolls, it must be an upgrade, right?
Patch 6.1 Hotfixes for March 3rd
March 3
Foire de Sombrelune
All of Darkmoon Island is now a Sanctuary zone. Note that some areas may still be incorrectly displaying as Contested areas on PvP realms. This display issue will be fixed in a future patch.
Players are now unable to start other
Foire de Sombrelune
games if they're already on a racing quest.
Cosmetic Transformations and Toy Effects
Druid Incarnation, Shaman Ascendance and Ghost Wolf transformations should now correctly have priority over cosmetic transformation effects.
Glyph of the Treant's Treant Form now has the same transformation priority as other
Druide
combat forms.
Fixed an issue with the following cosmetic transformations that had an incorrect priority:
Médaillon du défenseur céleste
,
Tresse de Gamon
,
Duplicateur de Tempête-de-Mana
,
Boussole de cuivre de M. Châtiment
Classes
General
Fixed an issue that could cause periodic effects that are not affected by Haste and had its duration extended to expire early.
Blizzard Introduces the WoW Token: Exchange Gold and Game Time, Expert Elvine Weighs In
WoW Gold Expert Elvine Weighs in on the WoW Token
Gold Expert
Elvine
, of
elvinelol.com
has written us a guide blog with his thoughts on the WoW Token.
You can read the full piece here
!
We recently
saw confirmation that the WoW Token is coming to the game
. Blizzard will officially begin to start selling gold via game time to its player base. The exchange, as detailed in the original article, will center around game time, allowing players to buy game time for real money and sell it for gold, and also allowing players to buy game time for gold.
How much will the WoW Token cost in real money?
No price has been set yet on how much players will have to pay in order to obtain the token to sell in game. My speculation is that it will cost $5 more than the standard monthly subscription, so $20 or thereabouts. Wildstar has a similar cost gap, with a month of game time being $14.99, compared to a Commodities Exchange token at $19.99. Ion noted that the token would cost more than a month's subscription, and $20 wouldn't be surprising.
How will this translate into in-game gold?
“We’re going to look at some things like the current going rate of gold on third-party market sites,”
-Ion Hazzikostas (
Source
)
My personal opinion is this will be very hard to take into consideration since many gold selling companies are offering $0.70/1000g and even cheaper if players buy a larger quantity, as low as $0.50/1000g.

WoW Token Summary
Blizzard has introduced the WoW Token - a way to exchange gold, real money, and game time.
It allows players to:
Buy game time with real money
Sell that game time for gold in-game
Buy game time with gold in-game.

Today we've got a
Guide to the Garrison Jukebox and Music Rolls
, as well as a post from Nethaera on Apexis Gear Changes in patch 6.1, and from Bashiok on Iron Docks:
Iron Docks Quests moved to 6.2
Following
a tweet about the move of the Iron Docks quests to 6.2
, CM Bashiok has clarified with a blue post:
Blizzard
It's a one-time quest that leads you to Tanaan. Assumptions that this was a big quest hub, focused around Foundry content, or that it's a chunk of substantial content that we cut, are incorrect. It's a one-time quest chain that directly leads into events of 6.2, and that's the patch it's in.
Ethereal Apexis Gear
Blizzard
Currently, the Apexis traders in the Horde town of Warspear and Alliance town of Stormshield offer gear up to item level 655, but in Patch 6.1, you’ll be able to trade up to ilvl 670 Ethereal Waist, Head, Wrist, Legs, Hands, Back, and Finger (ring) items.

!
The latest PTR build is a release candidate
, we discuss when we think 6.1 is dropping!
Patch 6.1 PTR Patch Notes for February 13
The latest patch notes have appeared for the Patch 6.1 PTR. Do note that these don't necessarily line up with datamining. We have new info on buffs and nerfs for Feral, Windwalker, and more! Check out the classes tab below.
Blizzard QA Zorbrix has also noted that, as the Patch 6.1 PTR builds are release candidates, character copies are disabled:
Level 90-94 gold and Garrison Resource missions will now continue to appear even if there are no Followers that are level 90-94.
Grange Niveau 3
traps can now be placed on top of a trap that has already been sprung.
Characters visiting the Garrison are now able to use
Tour des mages / Autel des esprits Niveau 3
/
Tour des mages / Autel des esprits Niveau 3
portals.
The fireplace in Tier-2 and Tier-3 Alliance Garrison Town Halls can now be used as a cooking fire.
Improvements have been made to the way that cosmetic transformations are handled. Previously, using another transformation would overwrite or cancel an existing effect. Now, characters can retain multiple cosmetic transformations and the one with the highest priority will be visible. If a higher priority transformation is canceled or expires, the next highest priority transformation will then be visible.
Cosmetic transformation effects that don't have mount animations and previously prevented a character from mounting (or were canceled upon mounting) are no longer canceled or need to be canceled or prevent mounting. Instead, the transform is temporarily suppressed and the character will regain the transformation once they dismount.
Many Druid shapeshift forms now have attachment points on the head and back for cosmetic toy effects such as
Ailes flamboyantes
or
Pépé
. Additional shapeshift forms may receive attachment points in the future.
Ailes flamboyantes
effect now lasts for 15 minutes (down from 1 hour) with a 30-minute cooldown (down from 1 hour).
Piccolo des feux ardents
has been rebuilt into a Toy Box item. Players can channel for 30 seconds to cause those around them to dance with a 5-minute cooldown. Additionally, the effect will no longer interrupt eating or drinking.
All rings, neck, cloak, and trinket items that can be acquired in
Nagrand
(A level 98+ zone) or later should now be better suited for the character's loot specialization. This means tanks should no longer receive items with no bonus Armor and healers should no longer receive items with no Spirit from sources like item tokens, quests, or Personal loot mode in Dungeons and Raids for those item slots.
Accounts with an inactive subscription are now able to log in with the same restrictions that Starter Edition accounts have with the additional perk of being able to join guilds that characters on the account already are a member of.
New Graphics Options: Particle Density in graphics settings now have 3 detail levels (down from 5). This may affect the number of particles generated by some particle systems.
Added new ambient occlusion method NVIDIA HBAO+, available on all DirectX 11 capable video cards.
MSAA is once again supported, with additional controls for fine-tuning under Advanced graphics options.
A new SSAA anti-aliasing option is now available for high-end video cards.
Per-pixel deferred point lights have been added to create more realistic lighting throughout Draenor.
Fish caught in Draenor can now be filleted without requiring a set stack number (20 for small, 10 for normal, 5 for enormous fish) while larger fish will still award more resources.

.

Eurogob biplace
