Очень хорошая шляпа для 1.10.14.19 твинка.Есть игроки бесплатники, триалы-могут играть до 20 лвл,у альянса есть повязка из тюрьмы,а у орды нету ничего кроме как очков за инженерию.Вот и триалы ловят шляпу во время рыбалки-она бывает в 14:00 и до 16:00 в воскресенье.Рыбомания тернистой долины,всем удачной рыбалки:)

Получил сегодня 01.12.2013 в 15:47.Пошёл на ивент первый раз и сначала не знал, что надо делать, где ловить... Победителей объявили быстро (за 15 мин.), я стал удивляться...как?...Потом понял, что надо ловить в косяках...Ловил-ловил, было уже 37 вкуснорыбы и выловил Рыбу-Ангела! Был очень рад, не зря время потратил!

This hat is a reward for catching a rare fish during the Sunday fishing tournament in Stranglethorn Vale, and from personal experience the Keefer's Angelfish is the most common of the rare fish.

Because the hat has no level requirements (and neither does the reward quest), this hat is a favourite for level 19 twinks with the patience to fish on the level 30+ STV shores = )

I caught mines within 19 minutes of the tournament, SE of Booty Bay, on the coast. Than the Brownell's Blue Striped Racer for the boots right at the end with 2 minutes left in competition. Rez sickness FTW!

There is a group of "very" small islands in that area that spawn pools of fish. Just a few non-aggro crabs wandering around. I suggest you take some Swim Speed Potion with you; I forgot :(

So much fun running around Org as a level 11 with hat and boots. Just have a little patience leveling up fishing skill and watch your aggro :D GL HF out there!

Ive now spend 8 Months fishing. Cought 2000+ tasty fish. I got 270 fishing all together with +100 on fishing pole.

Ive cought 2x Fishing boots, 1 line and won the contest Alone on my lvl 19 twink.

Still no fishing hat. This hat is all about luck, not how much you fish, i can bounch for that.

Sad news : this item is gonna be trashed. In the next patch (2.0.1 ?), this item will have 0 durability if you are below lev 45.

Which will render this beauty utterly useless. At 45+, you are so not wanting to have a 15 stam cloth, and the +5 fishing is hardly worth the trouble, given the way fishing works with +100 lures, and + 20 poles, on top of your skill.

if your a twink want this at and have a truckload of time free then hereshow to get there if you not high enough to survive the mobs first go to westfll by the dm exit youll look down and see murlocs go to your left down a path youll see the farmer for the paladin quest go past jump in the water (note: its better if you have swimspeed potions on you or be a 16 or higher druid that has completed the auquati form quest)then swim till you reach bootybay get the fp and then work your fishing up wait till sunday or whatever day its on and youll have the hat before you know it

Every sunday at 2pm-4pm (14.00-16.00) the fishing contest take place in WHOLE STV.

After the contest start, pools of tastyfish will spawn all over the waters in STV, it´s there where you need to fish. It´s importented that you fish inside the pool not beside it. You need 125+ skill to fish in these pools thought you NEED 225 skill to catch a RARE fish as the Keefer's Angelfish. Keep the tastyfish you catch as you can sell them for a handfull of silver (27 silver / 5 fish ) to a goblin near the fishbot npc.

For twinks,

This fish is VERY rare so if you really want it, expect to fish a couple more times then only one.

Step 1
Train your fishing skill to 150 (125 needed but NOT recomended)
Step 2
Buy the best fishing rod you can equip and 3-4 stacks of fishing lure (+75, +100 ) if you have 150 fishing skill you only need the 75+, it´s VERY VERY importented that you ALWAYS fish with a lure on.
Step 3
Start fishing! gl hf :)

- It´s alot easier you can get helped by any lvl40+ to clear the mobs for you(remember not to group). But it´s easily doable alone if you are careful and find a good spot.

2 of the best places to fish;
The island with the ZG reputation trolls (no mobs)
The Shore east of BB and the small islands near the ships (few mobs)

The pools spawn every 10-15 min or so.

i am looking at making a lvl 19 twink rogue and was wondering if you can still get this head piece after the latest patch?
i don't want to lvl my fishing, do the contest, find the rare fish and find out that a lvl 19 can't use the item.

0subaru0 ur gear will make any rogue die fast after last patch. Hp is just not the thing for rogues, just warning every1. Gear id recomend is:

For rogue:
Head: Lucky fishing hat (with agility +8)
Neck: Sentinel's medallion
Shoulder: Feral shoulder pads (with +30 attack power and +10 crit rating)
Back: Sentry cloak (with +12 dodge rating)
Chest: Tunic of westfall (with +4 all stats)

there is a bug with the fish loot when the "looting this item will bind it to you" comes up dont shift click the bobber or it will cancel the looting box. in meaning you cant catch any of the 3 rare fish because of it or it cancels and will go away make sure you dont hold shift for the quick loot system!

Seriously, aiming for this hat at Lv 19 is kinda retarded, especially if you're on a PvP server. All you get is 70 HP compared to Green Goggles. On top of that, the hat is bop, which means that you must find an idiot to farm a book enchant (100 HP, etc) for you. Getting this hat as well as the shoes and the arena trinket is a colossal time sink. Just stick to your goggles and Feet of the Lynx.

Although the contest runs from 2:00-4:00pm, competition sharply drops after a winner is announced. If the goal for low-level toon is to get the Lucky Fishing Hat, cash from fishing or other prizes from rare fish, Consider starting around 2:30pm. It's a LOT easier.

All the competitors have gone home. No offended players will be dumping mobs onto your character. During the competition, a rogue with Vanish, or a Paladin with Divine Intervention can drop mobs on small fragile characters, at-will.

Why is there hostility vs. the level 19s?
To understand where this hostility comes from, watch the general channel, when the winner is announced. There are invariably several people who lament that they were within 1-2 fish. There is only one winner per week, claiming either the Hook of the Master Angler, or Arcanite Fishing Pole. Competition is intense.

It's acceptable to lose because someone else was better. However, people will feel cheated, when a little level 19 tag-along was underfoot, sneaking fish out from under them. Intensify this with the reigning opinion that level 19 battleground twinks are unethically exploiting the system. There's just as much satisfaction dropping a mob on a twink, as dropping one on a gold farmer.

Nice fishing spots for lowbies
When the contest is completed, the spawn points will largely be ignored by anyone else. The Troll island around (20, 24) has no hostile mobs. Its easily reachable from Westfall. The respawn rate is fairly quick.

Fly or swim down to Booty Bay. Set your hearthstone. Fly back to Westfall. Swim down the coast to the Troll island. Stay clear of the elite shark that roams around the deep water, surrounding the island.

Consider using Bright Baubles. They're low-cost, and will boost fishing skill by +75.

Ok I got a 19 hunter twink and I have tryed to get the Lucky Fishing Hat for 3weeks now and im beging to think that it's imposilbe. I got minor speed to boots, +2fishing to gloves, strong fishing pole, swim speed pots, water breathing pots, the +100 lure's, and still I havent even got a Keefer's Angelfish not a singal one.... So if anybody ahs anymore sugestions then please reply to me.

Here is my Experiences with this Fishing Contest.

I done this contest 7 months and 3 weeks for my twink. I now do it on my main from time to time.

What you need:

250 fishing (Minimum)
Fishing rod
Patience
Guard (If you're gonna attempt to get it on your twink)
Lures
Spaces for the fish

The contest:

This contest (Booty Bay Fishing Extravaganza) Is on Sunday Afternoon's 2 - 4 Gametime. Basically you will fish at spots Labeled as "School of Tastyfish" The actual contest is the first person to catch 40 Tastyfish and hand them in to Booty Bay is the Winner. To catch a rare fish (Keefer's Angelfish, Brownell's Blue Striped Racer and Dezian Queenfish) You must fish at the Tastyfish Pools i mentioned earlier. They are as i say 'Rare' As thier percentage to catch is 0.18 (Dezian Queenfish) to 0.25% (Keefer's Angelfish). Although this sounds extremely bad, most people can get them in thier first few attempts at the Contest.

Rewards:

Keefer's Angelfish - Lucky Fishing Hat
Brownell's Blue Striped Racer - Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots
Dezian Queenfish - High Test Eternium Fishing Line
Hook of the Master Angler - For handing in 40 Tastyfish First

General Tips:

Always look at the spots you've already fished at. They can respawn very quickly sometimes

Get a high level if you're going to fish on your twink. If not you'll aggro alot of the times, which can waste alot of time.

Be friendly. If you lose the contest to someone else, don't start shouting at them, It aint going to help..You might win next Week

Set your hearthstone to Booty Bay. This can speed up the process of winning the contest.

I just started fishing for the first time today on my 19 twink.
Withing thirty minutes I had Keefer's Angelfish and Brownell's Blue Striped Racer.

I got this and the boots on my first try during the Fishing Contest. Two tips that helped me is to bring like a level 45 or so and take the WEST Coast. Everybody (including the other faction gankers) patrol the East coast. The other tip is to take the ENTIRE 2 hours. A lot of people leave at 15 'till 4. You can get a lot of fish during those 15 minutes.

This item is part of the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Competition. Which takes place every Sunday between 14:00 and 16:00 Server time.

These are the items that can be won if you are the first person to hand in 40 Speckled Tastyfish to Riggle Bassbait in Bootybay.
Arcanite Fishing Pole and Hook of the Master Angler.

Once someone has won the fishing competition, you can still hand in your remaining Speckled Tastyfish to Jang in Bootybay. (repeatable quest)

Problem number 1, the only time you can attempt to acquire it is Sundays from 2-4 pm server time during the Stranglethorn Vale Weekly Fishing Contest.

Problem number 2, as a 19 or under twink, there are several dangers like NPCs or high level PvPers determined to claim a prize, if you're on a PvP server. You'll most definitely need one or more 70s to fend off those baddies.

Problem number 3, the only way to claim the Lucky Fishing Hat is to catch the rare Keefer's Anglerfish, and with an estimated 0.25% rate of catching it, plus all the other problems, the odds are stacked high against you.

Any twink lucky enough to actually obtain this treasure is quite blessed.

it's all about luck. i got them my first try, some people in my guild are trying from 20 or more weeks, some others got 2 or 3 in a try. good luck to everyone :)

here's a way to not get mobbed by the mobs in STV during the Fishing contest, either have elixir of water walking or a shaman friend lvl 28+. it makes a WHOOOLE lot difference

Good 19 twink hat for any class (even holy priest or pally) and it's because it's better than the regular old nothing on you head >_< Even if you do have to spend 7 months trying to get this hat, it'll be worth it. It's a very good hat for PvP and I guarantee that you'll love it!

No, killing lvl 19 twinks at the fishing contest is not griefing, nor a reportable offense. I mean, you can report it . . . but Blizzard isn't going to do anything. Their line is, essentially, that they don't interfere in PvP. STV is not just a PvP zone, it is a 30+ zone. If you're there with a character of lower level . . . well, it's at your own risk.

If you've ever tried to play in the Battlgrounds as a relatively new player, especially the 10-19 WSG battleground, you should understand why someone would want to kill twinks at any opportunity. Without a high level alt feeding you the 100s of gold you need for twinking enchants, you just can't compete. You will be on the battleground with, at best, something on the order of 1000 health and 30 dps. If you're lucky, you'll have Fiery Weapon. The twinks you're up against? They have 1500-2000 health, ungodly dps . . . like rogues that will two shot you if mongoose procs when they ambush. While you've got the best gear you can with the few chances you had to PUG instances, twinks have had their high level twinking guild buddies run them through instances since level 8 to ensure they farm the best gear that exists. While you have a medium leather armor kit for +16 armor on your leggings, a twink will have his level 70 alt put Nethercleft Leg Armor on some BoE leggings to get +40 stamina and +12 agility. While you scrimp and save to get minor speed on your boots, a twink will have the same speed bonus and +9 stamina. While you don't even have headgear, a twink will have the lucky fishing hat with a +100 health enhancement.

It is just totally imbalanced.

Granted, every player in the game can eventually get access to everything twinks do. However, players who are new to the game, haven't got the network or resources necessary to do it and probably won't until they have spent months, maybe even more than a year, playing the game, depending on how much IRL time they dedicate to it. Until they have put in that time, though, playing the 10-19 bracket of WSG is often an exercise in getting killed over and over and over again by some twink a$$ camping your graveyard.

It's very frustrating. My general rule is that I don't gank players that are lower level than me and I don't corpse camp. I'll make an exception at the fishing contest. Players under level 20 there are KOS.

All stupid twinks aside, still the best hat in the game imo. I have the "replacement" from the Outland fishing daily, but I only use it when I run out of lures. Otherwise, I'm rocking this baby.

Hey guys, you wont believe this, but I got the Keefer fish on LITERALLY my FIRST CAST. No joke. Blizzard must love me!

I'm the king of luck! I just decided to go for the hat thinking it would take a while but would be worth it (and it is, I can use it on my level 19 lock twink Bellshazzar, look him up) but it ended up being the easiest of all my twink get to obtain! Seriously all I had to do was find the little island where it was safe (there were no horde) and click, there was my fish. All twinks: go for it. I just had 150 fishing (no need to even see the trainer after 150) and used the 100 skill bobble you can buy in SW from the fish supplier. I bet a 75 bobble would also work.

Just caught the Keefer's Fish today, after fishing the other 2 fishes.
I tried like 5 times, with fishing skill of like 200 and later with fishing skill of 240 (all with +100) and the last attempt I fished the boots fish and the hat fish.

This head is extremely rare and almost impossible to farm, this is about luck, i got this head on my 19 twink when i casted 30 times. - Chance to get it is 1/10.000 if the drop chance is right on wowhead

If you are not a twink and just want to maximize your fishing skill; Видавшая виды рыболовная шапка is a better option because its easier to get and has free +75 lure :)
Still you will need the Сверхпрочная этерниевая леска and Небывалые рыбацкие сапоги Ната Пэгла to maximize your fishing, but it's "probably" this hat that you will get before these items.

Got it this sunday, wen't south of Grom'gol, found 3 Schools of Tastyfish, took the one to the west, second toss and I got the Keefer's Angelfish, HS to Booty Bay, and recieved it.
This was my first attempt at getting the hat, my friend wasn't as lucky as I was, he kept fishing for 2 hours, and didn't get one.

This helm Счастливая шляпа рыболова is a BiS (Best in Slot) for a level 19 twink flag carrier.
If you're going for other stats such as intellect or strength, then I suggest you should go for the BoA helmets you can obtain through a guild which has to be level 20+, and you have to be the reputation standing "honored" or higher.

edit: heirloom helmets are much better now, giving split stats of either strength/stamina or intellect/stamina and so on.

working on a lvl 19 Pally tank/fc. I fished for the first time today 29July2012. Fished in Northern Stranglethorn (Yojamba Island n surrounding coast) Caught speckled tastyfish (63) stonescale eel (2) firefin snapper (19) oily blackmouth (20) stranglekelp (1) and waiting for respawn fished 2 stacks of other useful fish. My fishing lvl was 125 w/ a 75 buff from bright baubles. After 1.5hrs of fishing lvl was at 210. Awesome! Will try next week and add comment about catches and lvling and about getting my Lucky Fishing Hat. Thank you

During tbc (2008) i had many twinks all of which had the boot/hat combo. The key to fishing is that there isnt a "good" way to do it. It all depends on your luck and raid buddies to keep you safe. On my server, our guild had a grudge with a horde twink guild so they'd try to gank us every sunday. Needless to say we were well prepared by then, often times having back up of a team of 5-8 70's
As for locations, ive caught the fish litterly all over stv. There isn't some valhalla spot where they magically jump out of the water.

I've succesfully fished Keefer's Angelfish twice on my F2P account. Most guides say to wait half an hour untill the competion is over to avoid high level players. However I've found that not only do most high levels ignore me but they also keep the beaches clear of mobs.

Both times I've caught the fish on the east side beaches.

Used Крепкая удочка and Яркая блесна and fished on the east of Wild Shore.

Fish in the Косяк разной океанской рыбы and move around the beach when they disappear.

You get Счастливая шляпа рыболова in exchange for Рыба-ангел Кифера during revamped Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.

Current event bugs:

If you finish main quest for 40 Крапчатая вкуснорыба (or just get these, but not finish), then you'll have "no loot" effect during fishing.
"No loot" effect occurs when system try to get you another Крапчатая вкуснорыба, but you already have 40 Крапчатая вкуснорыба or already finish quest.
What to do? Just continue to fish and, if you have good luck, you will get your rare fish (or some trash items, heh).
You get your rare fish, but unable to get your reward from Рыбобот 5000
All you need to do - just cancel NPC dialog (close it), then open it again. Repeat X times, until u get NPC dialog with repeatable quest for your rare fish. Done!
