Получить легендарное оружие довольно сложно я считаю в любых играх, сальфарас не исключение.
Для его получения необходимо:

1) Глаз Сальфараса (item=17204), дропаеться с босса Рагнаросс в инстансе Огненные Недра. Шанс 1%.
Это добыть не так уж и сложно, сложнее будет сделать подобие молота с помошью профессии Кузнечное дело.

2) Сульфуронский молот (item=17193). Именно этот молот составит большую проблему получения легендарного оружия.

Это основные реагенты для комбинирования.

Теперь подробно о проблемах (основной являеться вторая).
Для изготавливания Сульфуронского молота нужно иметь раскаченную профессию Кузнечного дела до 300 пунктов, это раз. Рецепт на его изготовление нужно получть за квест "Заключение договора" (quest=7604). Для его выполнения необходимо иметь в сумке минимум одну единицу Сульфуронского слитка (item=17203), имея его в кармане нужно найти "Локтоса Зловещего Торговеца" (npc=12944) в Глубинах Черной горы. К нему желательно идти не одному, предпочтительнее вдвоем, т.к. это будет не сложно.

Сульфуронский слиток добываеться путем убийства босса в том же инстансе Огненные Недра, но уже другого Маг-лорд из клана Гордок.
Добыть одну было бы не проблемой, но для изготовления Сульфуронского молота вам потребуеться 8 таких, скажем так слитков.
В основных реагентах думаю большой проблемы не будет, так же существует аукцион, там можно найти многие из нужных вам ингредиентов.

Для получения этой легендарки вам, как всегда, надо понадеяться на бога Рандома и заняться собиранием редких (или дорогостоящих) реагентов:

Око Сульфураса рарный дроп с Рагнароса
Сульфуронский молот - создается БС-ером (Кузнецом) скил 300+

Процесс сбора молота:
Если вы не хотите самостоятельно делать заготовку на молот, пункт 5,6,7 и 8 замените на "Отдать реги, получить молот"

Чистим МС и ждем, когда с Рагнароса упадет Око Сульфураса
По дороге лутаем трупы на предмет нужных реагентов, которые какраз-таки падают с треша и 1 из боссов
Глаз упал
Покупаем на АН или же лутаем в МС Сульфуронский слиток
Идем с минимум 1-м слитком в рюкзаке к Локтос Зловещий Торговец <Братство Тория> в BRD (Глубины Черной Горы)
Завершаем квест Заключение договора, получаем ревард Чертеж: сульфуронский молот.
Учим чертеж и летим
Собрав все нужные реагенты летим в Глубины Черной Горы (BRD), ищем Черную кузню и изготавливаем заготовку на молот.

Нужные ингредиенты:

Примечание:
Необязательно учить Кузнечное дело и делать заготовку самостоятельно, ее может сделать другой человек и передать вам.

Соединяем Око Сульфураса и Сульфуронский молот. Не имеет значения, в какой локации вы соедините оба эти предмета. Только процесс выплавки молота требовал присутствия в Черной Кузне.

Ингредиенты

С непреодолимым желанием овладеть первой, а может и уже давно не первой, легендарной вещью в World of Warcraft вы начинаете подготовку к долгому и интересному приключению. Для начала взглянем, какие ингредиенты нам понадобятся. Да да! Именно ингредиенты! Данное оружие не является обычной добычей, с низким шансом дропа, их нужно долго и упорно собирать и потратить на это дело не один месяц игры.

Нам понадобится:

* Огненное ядро – 10 штук
* Ядро лавы – 10 штук
* Кровь горы – 10 штук
* Субстанция огня – 25 штук
* Арканитовый слиток - 50 штук
* Слиток чёрного железа – 20 штук
* Сульфуронский слиток – 8 штук
* Терпение – очень много
* Желание – непреодолимое

Сбор только этих реагентов, может занять у вас более 3 месяцев игры, а то и дольше. Но без них никуда. Ибо это главные реагенты для создания Сульфуронского Молота – так называемой болванки для последующей обработки Оком Сульфураса . Но обо всём по порядку.

Изготовление

Сульфуронский молот — эпическое двуручное дробящее оружие. Такое оружие в игре делают Кузнецы. Но не у каждого кузнеца вы сможете найти данный рецепт. Так как посещаемость Огненных недр резко упала с выходом Burning Crusade, то игроков с этим рецептом почти не осталось. Если вы найдёте такового, то вам несказанно повезёт. Но если нет, вам придётся самому освоить профессию Кузнечного дела, а на пару с ней ещё и Горное дело, если не хотите покупать реагенты на аукционе. А на аукционе, за все ингредиенты и рецепт, предстоит выложить очень кругленькую сумму. На разных серверах по разному, но в среднем вы потратите порядка 15.000 золотых.
Этап первый: Сбор ресурсов

Итак, если вы нашли кузнеца, способного изготовить Сульфуронский молот, и купили реагенты на аукционе, несите всё ему и радуйтесь, для вас этот этап пройден. А теперь рассмотрим, что делать, если внушительной суммы золота в кармане нет:

* Такие реагенты как Огненное ядро, Ядро Лавы, Кровь горы и Субстанция огня добывается из мобов в Огненных недрах. Тут всё выпадает более менее часто, кроме Крови горы. Она, в теории, падает, но очень редко. Поэтому для её добычи вам придётся возвращаться и чистить подземелье не один раз.
* Сульфуронский слиток добывается с Големагга Испепелителя.
* Арканитовый слиток делают алхимики, посредством трансмутации. Поэтому ищите алхимика, который знает такой рецепт. Для создания одного слитка, требуется один Ториевый слиток , который выплавляют горняки, ну или вы при наличии профессии, и один Чародейский кристал, который добываеться из ториевых жил.
* Слиток чёрного железа выплавляют горняки. Но опять же не все, а те, кто выучил необходимый рецепт.

Когда у вас в руках окажутся все эти реагенты, то можете считать,что половину пути вы уже точно прошли. Теперь надо изготовить Сульфуронский молот.
Этап второй: Изготовление болванки

Если вы удачливый богатей, изготовивший молот методом покупки реагентов и наймом кузнеца — этот этап, как и первый, вас не коснётся. Но если вы сторонник всё делать сам, вам предстоит научиться изготавливать Сульфуронский молот.

* Во-первых вам понадобиться овладеть кузнечным делом и увеличить навык профессии до 300.
* Во-вторых вам понадобиться изучить рецепт на изготовление молота.
* В-третьих собрать все реагенты вместе, добраться до Чёрной наковальни, которая находиться в Глубинах Чёрной Горы рядом с Лордом Опалителем, встать у наковальни и изготовить желаемый предмет.

Ну да, для кого как, я например собрал заготовку довольно быстро, а вот око никак не выбью, и уже начинаю думать что до каты его не выбью…
P.S. патч 4.0.3а. на 18 ран выбил правый брас. ока не видать…последнее кд до каты.

При сборке этого молота я поступал так. Я хожу в Молтен Кор энхом каждую неделю и вот результат.
Субстанция Огня х25, Ядро Лавы х10 и Огненное Ядро х10 - я собрал за один заход, убив весь треш и боссов в инсте.
Слиток Черного Железа х20 - купил за 700 голда на ауке.
Арканитовый Слиток х50 взял из гб =)
Сульфуронский Слиток х8 - за 6 заходов упало 3 штуки. На ауке стоило под 350 голда. за каждый заход я получал примерно 500-600 голда, продавая всю эпику с треша по 50 голда на ауке и собирал все что падало с боссов. Ядра Лавы, Огненные Ядра и Субстанции Огня продавал на аукционе тоже, по 5-7 голда за штуку. Вобщем проблем доставило мало. Даже на этом деле заработал и ушел в плюс.
Кровь Горы х10 - ~~Самая сложная часть молота~~ - проблем не доставило тоже. Дроп этой вещи с великанов в инсте 3-5%. Всего на весь инст 20 великанов. Рес - час. Ходил туда 1-3 раза в день, иногда не ходил вообще. Если кто выбил око раньше и осталась только кровь горы - может не убивать боссов, а просто ходить, убивая великанов и обновляя инст. Так же если вы рудокоп, можете включить поиск руды, и копать Руду Черного Железа в самом инсте. Шанс дропа с руды, (сам никогда не копал), по слухам такой же где то.
И так. Сульфуронский Молот собран за 5 недель. Я попросил бсера из гильды, у него был рец. Я потратил 700 голда, но возместил потраченное, ушел в +2000. Так же на счет "непреодолимого желание и терпения". По моему 1,5 час в неделю не очень много, все таки с 85 лвлами стало гораздо легче.

Око Сульфураса Упало с 18 трая! Наконец мой молот собран. Если верить вовхеду у ока 4%.

P.S - если кто не знает, Черная Наковальня которая нужна для ковки Сульфуронского Молота стоит у босса Лорд Опалитель в Глубинах Черной Горы. Все боссы уносились энхом в соло, но собак у Магмадара бил элемом, и самого Рагнароса тоже (он так не пинается). Так же в первый трай меня убил Барон Геддон, но нужно просто встать в коридор между ним и Гарром, залесть на небольшой камень у стены и его броски не страшны. Предвестник Сульфурон, 3 его мобов я отвлекал на элементаля огня и отводя одного убивал, 2 моба на волков - 1 отвожу убиваю. Убить двух мобов не так уж и проблемно. Големаг Испепелитель - когда набирается больше 8 стаков его бафа, бьем собак пока не спадет баф. Остальные боссы нереально простые.

Собрала молот примерно за месяц: Око выпало с 3 раза, с ингридиентами пришлось сложнее - слитки вообще не падали, кровь - всего 3 раза. докупала, но оно того стоило)

17 убийств рагнароса каждый кд, ни ока ни наручей. Дроп есть дроп. К примеру: ящер раззаши и повелитель воронов выпали с первого раза, тигра и коня в каражане фармил по три месяца, а ривендерский конь не выпал и после 60го захода. Кровь падает примерно одна за заход, слитки - 1/3. Хожу в 2 перса и уже успел выковать сульфуронский молот.

на счет шанса дропа - бабка надвое сказала.
убил Рагнароса 50+ раз - стало интересно, почему написано 3-4% - написал тикет.
в ответ пришло сообщение следующего содержания:
шанс выпадения 50на50 при первом убийстве, при нивыпадение шанс становиться 1 из 3 х и так далее, и чем больше вы убиваете данного босса, тем больше вероятность, что выпадет око, удачи вам....

соотвественно, кто не вступил в говно по дороге или не ел его в детстве - выбивает ОКО только упорством))

Крафт относительно недорогой, при большой заселенности сервера проблем с регами возникнуть не должно.

Око Сульфураса упало с 11 трая. На всякий случай скрафтил Сульфуронский молот и таскал в сумках. Танцы с бубнами помогли :)

Большую часть ингредиентов можно нафармить самому(при наличии скила Добывание мин 230 и изученном навыке Выплавка черного железа. Так же можно купить готовый молот на ауке. На момент написания можно было купить в среднем за 20к.

Экскурс в историю:
Миллионы лет Война терзала молодой мир, который наблюдал рождение вражды между братьями и гибель бессмертных армий…

Это случилось во время Битвы Элементалей, когда Повелитель Огня Рагнарос решил сразить Тандераана, Принца Неба. Принц пал, но Рагнарос недолго праздновал победу – Повелитель Огня не сумел уничтожить Тандераана, победив лишь бой…

В центре обширного огненного озера находится Крепость Сульфурона, обитель Рагнароса. Вплоть до освобождения Повелитель Огня стальной хваткой властвовал в своей Сфере.

Три столетия спустя, когда на вершинах гор и в глубинах подземелий шла Война Трёх Молотов. Лидер Дварфов Тёмного Железа Тауриссан, планируя вызвать могущественного миньона, воззвал к древним силам, дремавшим в недрах земли. Грёзы о быстрой победы оказались обманчивы, вместо этого перед королём предстал древнее существо, воплощение ужаса и рока…

Освобождённый зовом Тауриссана, Рагнарос вернулся в этот мир, показавший своё прибытие в Азерот сильнейшим извержением вулкана, которое раздробило Чёрные Скалы. Когда какое-нибудь существо умирает от Сульфураса, тело жертвы воспламеняется, оставляя только груду пепла. Пепел трансформируется в твердый и темный кристалл. Этот кристалл известен как глаз Сульфурас и используется последователями Рагнароса в древних ритуалах.

Кровь выбивается элементарно, не убивая боссов зачищаются все Разрушители из недр, и доступные жилы чёрного железа (Если ты майнер), затем релогаешься на альта, и через минут 40 опять зачищаешь реснувшихся мобов. И так по кругу, пока голова не закружится:) В среднем за два рана одна падает.

Испепелитель (недоступно)

История Испепелителя тесно связана с именем Командующего Могрейна, и начинается с момента, когда Александрос находит темный кристалл на теле одного из орков. Могрейн почувствовал темную мощь в необычном предмете, доставленном с далекой планеты Дренор. Воздействуя на него силами Света, кристалл не разрушился, а превратился в сильнейший артефакт Света. Решением ордена Серебряной Длани было поставлено сделать из него меч, мощное оружие против Плети.

К созданию Испепелителя имеет прямое отношение архимаг Алого Ордена Тимолейн, который, как выяснилось позже, был тайным членом Культа Проклятых. Свое название меч получил от прозвища его владельца, Александроса Могрейна, который славился тем, что сражаясь против Плети, оставлял от живых мертвецов только пепел.

Старший сын Могрейна, Рено, заключил сделку с самим Кел’Тузадом, и обратил меч отца против него самого, вонзив лезвие ему в грудь. Александрос был убит, а Испепелитель, окропленный кровью своего владельца, снова стал оружием тьмы, и назывался он Оскверненный Испепелитель. Король-лич возродил Александроса, сделав из него Рыцаря смерти, и заключив его душу в оскверненный клинок.

Младший сын Могрейна, Дарион, когда подрос и окреп, присоединился к Серебряному Рассвету и отправился на поиски отца. Его путь лежал в Наксрамас, где в руки Дариона и попал Оскверненный Испепелитель.

Когда началась атака Плети на Часовню Последней Надежды, Дарион выступил против Кел’Тузада. Он проткнул сердце клинком, тем самым освободим и душу отца, и души тысяч людей, покоренных Королем-личем.
Дарион занял место отца, став Рыцарем Смерти, но, во время последней битвы у Часовни, прознав о коварных планах Короля-лича и его предательстве, Верховный Лорд бросил Оскверненный Испепелитель Тириону Фордрингу. Когда меч оказался в руках паладина, он очистился снова. По сей день Тирион является его полноправным владельцем, продолжая войну против Плети.

реагенты - 10 Зачарованный элементиевый слиток -> понадобится 10 Слиток элементия, 100 Арканитовый слиток, 10 Огненное ядро + Сущность повелителя огня c Рагнарос при взятом квесте Громораан Искатель Ветра и обоих наручях в инвентаре - мне дропнулось с первого захода)

Во времена Битвы Элементалей, Принц Громораан, Искатель ветра, был повержен в бою Повелителем Огня Рагнаросом. Бывшие соратники Принца, Гарр и Барон Геддон, предали его и примкнули к Рагнаросу, став его лейтенантами. Рагнарос пытался уничтожить Принца Воздуха, но так и не смог. Атиеш — личный посох Медива, он был инструментом фокусировки его магической силы и артефактом великой силы. К несчастью, из-за присутствия духа Саргераса в теле Медива, посох подвергся порче. Саргерас наделил посох некоторой разумностью. После гибели Медива Кирин Тор снарядил экспедицию магов для поиска и изучения хранящихся в Каражане артефактов. Тогда-то Атиеш был найден и доставлен в Даларан. Но все маги Кирин Тора, контактировавшие с посохом, погибли в результате серии странных происшествий, поэтому Совет Шести решил в целях безопасности защитить посох магическими барьерами, назначив наблюдателя для охраны. Этим наблюдателем стала архимаг Анджела Досантос.

Во время разрушения Даларана Архимондом посох был утерян; предположительно, сработала аварийная барьерная система, раздробив его на множество осколков. Анджела до сих пор разыскивает эти осколки. По слухам, часть осколков находится в Наксрамасе у Кел'тузада и его прислужников — лич хочет сам собрать посох. Основание Атиеша попало в руки известного исследователя Бранна Бронзоборода, но было утеряно во время его вылазки в Ан'Кираж.

Боевой клинок Аззинота + Боевой клинок Аззинота (доступно)

Боевая глефа — ещё одно уникальное оружие ночных эльфов, разнообразящее класс мечей. Клинок в виде серпа или полумесяца длиной около 120 сантиметров, рукоятка расположена по центру, у задней грани. Парные боевые глефы можно скрепить вместе, получив сдвоенное оружие. Традиционное вооружение охотников на демонов, самый знаменитый и легендарный образец — Двойные клинки Аззинота, которыми воевал Иллидан.

Истинное название этого оружия звучит как «боевые глефы Аззинота». Откуда взялось такое название, непонятно, но, учитывая, что первым их владельцем (насколько нам известно) был демон Страж Рока, вполне вероятно, что демонические глефы выглядят именно как двулезвийные клинки. Но на территории Азерота глефы представляют из себя что-то вроде алебарды.

Однако, истинных ценителей красоты это, конечно, ничуть не смущает. Как не смутило и Иллидана, когда он лицом к… ээээ… морде встретился с тем самым демоном, имя которому было… Аззинот. Собственно, убив жуткого демона, Иллидан так прельстился мягкими изумрудными переливами клинков, что решил оставить себе в качестве боевого трофея.

Чем руководствовались ночные эльфы, когда решили упечь Иллидана в тюрьму, но оставили при нем его драгоценные клинки, не известно. Но факт остается фактом, на протяжении 10 000 лет наш герой упражнялся в бою, ловко орудуя глефами, названным в честь их первого владельца, Аззинотами. Сейчас, правда, не меньше распространено их новое название – Иллиданки.

Так вот, отточив свое мастерство во владении клинками до такой степени, что на планете Азерот Иллидану не осталось равных, он и бежал из-под стражи на соседнюю планету, Дренор.

Изменению на всем пути этой истории подвергались также и гарды, стилизованные накулачники, соединяющие два лезвия клинка и защищающие руку в бою. Изначально, судя по тем сведениям, что дошли до нас, гарды украшала физиономия пандарена. Однако взаимоотношения между пандаренами и демонами Пылающего Легиона для смертных остаются в ряду неизведанных. Когда Иллидан впервые взял клинки в свои руки, пандарен на гардах был улыбающийся, а, после превращения эльфа в полудемона, вместо улыбки появился оскал. В настоящее время гарды украшены рисунком, чем-то напоминающим кленовый лист.

Три самых распространенных теории о том, откуда взялся Тори'дал, Звeздная Ярость.

Первая история.
Тори'дал – если ничто иное, как само воплощение энергии Солнечного Колодца, ее физическое проявление. Во-первых, об этом намекает и название лука и гравировка, которая гласит «Энергия Солнечного Колодца течет сквозь Тори’дала». Во-вторых, для использования лук не требует боеприпасов: при натягивании тетивы он создает волшебные стрелы.

Вторая история.
Лук принадлежит бесславно забытому герою ночных эльфов, отряды которых принимали участие в Войне древних. Согласиться с этой теорией нас подталкивают остальные предметы, хранящиеся у Кил’джедена еще с той поры. Среди всего это хлама вполне мог затеряться легендарный лук.

Третья история.
Многие предполагают, что владела этим луком Аллерия Ветрокрылая (сестра Сильваны и Верисы), именно ее статую можно лицезреть на мосту Штормграда. Аллерия входила в число армии Альянса, давшей отпор демонам у Темного Портала и продолжавшей сражения уже на территории Дренора даже после того, как Портал был закрыт. Подтверждает эту теорию и Капюшон Аллерии, который можно найти в закромах Кил’джедена. Да и само оружие выполнено в стиле, характерном для высших эльфов, к числу которых принадлежат и сестренки Ветрокрылые.
Каждая из теорий, как мы видим, имеет право на существование, но правды, как это не прискорбно, мы, скорее всего, не узнаем никогда.

Вал'анир, молот древних королей (доступно)

Содзанный титанами, Вал'анир был вручён первому царю Земляных (прародителей дварфов), Урелу Каменное Сердце. С ним правитель должен был дать жизнь и умиротворение своим братьям.
Увы, Вал'анир был разрушен во время первой войны между Земляными и отколовшимися от них дварфами Тёмного Железа. Считалось, что остатки реликвии были безвозвратно утеряны в этом конфликте, но, как мы видим, его части всё ещё целы.

также замечу, что задания в цепочке надо выполнять в режиме рейда на 25 ппл, кроме одного квеста - Пиршество душ)

Прежде чем занять трон Короля-лича, принц Артас Менетил оказался под властью клинка, который, как он полагал, мог спасти его народ. Этот рунический меч известен под именем Ледяная Скорбь. Разыскивая его среди заснеженных просторов Нордскола, принц потерял своего наставника, королевство и даже собственную душу, но обитателям Азерота меч принес еще большие беды.

Сжимая рукоять меча, за который он отдал жизнь, Артас опустошил королевство Лордерон и освободился от влияния Пылающего Легиона. К тому времени, как падший принц возглавил армию Плети, Ледяная Скорбь уже успела насытиться душами бесчисленных врагов Короля-лича, осмелившихся выступить против него.

Теперь Артас стал настолько неразлучен со своим мечом, что даже воссоздал его облик в архитектуре свой крепости, Цитадели Ледяной Короны. Его рука редко расстается с рукоятью меча, и вкрадчивый шепот клинка постоянно сливается с мыслями Короля-лича. Вместе они правят Нордсколом.

В попытке свергнуть Короля-лича отважным героям придется во многом повторить путь Артаса. Чтобы достойно вооружить войска обитателей Азерота против Плети, Дарион Могрейн создал Пепельный союз – артель самых умелых ремесленников Серебряного Авангарда и Рыцарей Черного Клинка. Но хотя отважные паладины Авангарда вооружены силой Света, а их предводитель обладает легендарным Испепелителем, некоторые темные воины Могрейна стали сомневаться в победе.

Эти рыцари смерти утверждают, что всей мощи Испепелителя и отваги рыцарей Серебряного Авангарда не хватит, чтобы противостоять Ледяной Скорби. Кажется, что создать оружие, подобное этому топору, невозможно, но слухи о нем не прекращаются.

Некоторые кузнецы утверждают, что Темную Скорбь можно сделать из обычного топора, заточив его лезвие до несравненной остроты, другие же полагают, что для его создания нужно оружие невероятной мощи. Утверждают, будто Могрейн, разговорившись, признается, что основой для Темной Скорби, по его мнению, может послужить только молот самого Артаса – но эта невероятная находка станет лишь первым шагом на пути создания великого топора.

Чтобы удержать силы, танцующие на его ледяных лезвиях, Темную Скорбь следует выковать из осколков неочищенного саронита - застывшей крови древнего бога Йогг-Сарона. Материал этот покорится молоту лишь самых умелых мастеров.

Чтобы поддерживать его убийственную мощь, необходимо напитать Темную Скорбь душами самых сильных слуг Плети, уничтожив их одного за другим еще не остывшим клинком.

Чтобы топор смог пробить броню Короля-лича, Темную Скорбь надо украсить осколком Ледяного Трона, который когда-то был создан Кил'джеденом изо льда Круговерти Пустоты.

Говорят, что только с помощью этих могущественных сущностей можно закончить создание Темной Скорби. Но даже если кому-то удастся выковать великий топор, останется еще много вопросов и сомнений. Чем создание этого оружия отличается от ковки рунических мечей Плети, если для него потребуются души павших и частица Круговерти Пустоты?

Кто поручится, что Король-лич не уничтожит – или не подчинит себе кузнеца, посмевшего создать оружие, равное по мощи его клинку, его самой большой драгоценности? Если даже Артас, один из самых благородных рыцарей своего времени, утратил свою душу, покорившись шепоту Ледяной Скорби, кто может знать, что та же самая участь минует всех живущих, когда в мир придет родственный по духу топор – Темная Скорбь?

Не зная ответа на эти вопросы, кто осмелится взять его в руки?

Гнев Дракона, вечный покой Таресгосы (доступно)
(затраты времени на создание - можно сказать частичный рандом, так как при выполнении первой стадии есть понятие "дроп будет / не будет" (в героическом режиме Извечный уголь падает всегда, в нормале - не всегда), а уже на последующих стадиях дроп есть всегда; в режиме 25 ппл выполняется гораздо быстрее, чем в 10 ппл - примерно в ~2 раза быстрее:
1 стадия: надо 25 Извечный уголь, реагент 3 Пески времени - влетят вам в 8100-9000 золотых;
2 стадия: надо 1000 Пылающий уголь;
3 стадия: надо 250 Тлеющая сущность Вытягивание сущности юзается Рунический посох Нордрассила, + Сердце пламени с Рагнарос)

После гибели драконьего аспекта Малигоса перед синими драконами встала непростая задача выбрать нового лидера из двух претендентов. Часть драконов поддерживает Калесгоса, который выступает за восстановление дружественных отношений с другими расами; другие же остаются верны Аригосу, потомку Малигоса, который верит, что их род должен искать свой собственный путь за пределами этого мира. Чтобы положить конец распрям и спорам и наконец выбрать нового аспекта, синие драконы объявили общий сбор во время Помрачения — небывалого небесного явления, при котором одна луна Азерота полностью закрывает другую.

Вместе с тем бронзового дракона Анахроноса посетило пугающее видение о последствиях близящейся церемонии. Он почувствовал средоточие зловещей магии вокруг Нексуса, логова синих драконов в Нордсколе. Одновременно Анахронос увидел, как весь Азерот гибнет в огне. Связь между этим леденящим душу знамением и синими драконами остается неясной, поэтому Анахронос решил обратиться за помощью к «короткоживущим созданиям» (как иногда называют представителей других рас драконы времени). И если не найдется героя, который смог бы раскрыть правду, мрачное предзнаменование может стать реальностью.

По поводу прока:

В целях воплощения этой концепции, эффект «Гнева Дракона, вечного покоя Таресгосы», который вдвое увеличивает урон от вредоносных заклинаний, будет также срабатывать и при произнесении заклинаний, наносящих урон с течением времени. При этом с некоторой вероятностью урон, который получает противник с каждым тактом способности, наносящей урон с течением времени, также будет увеличен. Чтобы среди чернокнижников и жрецов специализации «Тьма» это оружие тоже пользовалось успехом, у описанного эффекта не будет внутреннего времени восстановления. Кроме того, вероятность его срабатывания будет выше у тех специализаций, где значительную часть урона наносят питомцы заклинателя.

Самым опытным и опасным разбойникам обновление 4.3 предлагает возможность сыграть одну из ключевых ролей в судьбе мира… как и полагается разбойнику – управляя событиями из теней. Персонажи посетят различные уголки мира, выполняя разведывательные миссии, участвуя в кражах со взломом, проникая на охраняемые территории, а также приводя в исполнение тайно вынесенные смертные приговоры. Те, кто знают о развернувшихся вскоре после Катаклизма в Бесплодных землях событиях, могут вспомнить историю Реастразы, красной драконицы, которая раздобыла яйцо черного дракона и с помощью магии избавила его от порчи черных драконов. Эти события, конечно, могут привести к положительным изменениям в судьбе Азерота, но от вас потребуются ловкость, незаметность и мастерство – а иногда и помощь друзей – чтобы раскрыть тайну произошедшего с яйцом… и вынести приговор самому Смертокрылу.

Жила-была на сервере Archimonde гильдия с названием Nurfed, и всем своим дружным коллективом они ходили в Огненные недра, убивали боссов и получали с них добычу. Гильдия жива и по сей день, но о ней уже слагают легенды.
Очередным грандиозным событием в жизни Nurfed стал заурядный рейдовый день 23 марта 2005 года, когда, убив Барона Геддона, они обнаружили в луте Талисман соединения осколков. Обладателем ожерелья стал Noktyn, и с ним вскоре связался ГМ. Объяснив, что этого предмета не должно быть в таблице лута, ГМ предупредил, что данную вещь придется забрать. Однако в результате было принято решение, оставить Талисман соединения осколков его владельцу, но из лута предмет был удален в этот же день. Так Noktyn стал единственным обладателем не просто легендарного ожерелья, но и уникального предмета, которого никогда и ни у кого больше не будет.

В списке легендарных предметов, есть семь особых типов оружия. На них не существует определенных заданий, для того, чтобы собрать их не нужно месяцами зачищать рейдовые подземелья, так как они падают с 100% шансом, и их получит абсолютно каждый желающий. Но они, наряду со всеми своими плюсами, имеют один существенный минус – через 15 минут после получения, эти предметы исчезают из инвентаря.
Речь идет об оружии, добавленном в обновлении 2.2.0, накануне битвы с сильнейшим противником, Кель'тасом Солнечным Скиталецем.

Ходил на это неделе в ОН. и о Чудо! Упало око! Вечер фарма регов и осталось лишь дофармить арканитовые слитки, слитки сульфураса и кровь горы. Эти 3 реагента самые сложны для фарма, если допустим я могу купить слитки сульфураса и арканитовые, то кровь горы увы не кто не продает на ЧШ =( Пичаль, придется фармить. Впрочем это мелочь ...)

Только что выпало Око Сульфураса с 28 забега. Друг попросил пробежаться по Молтен Кору, и я ему не отказал. даже не думая, что око может упасть. И тут, я вижу в дропе с Рагнароса заветное Око Сульфураса. Радости не было предела. Знакомый любезно согласился уступить итем. Всем фармящим удачи, берите с собой друзей и Вам повезёт)

К сожалению в 5.2. трансмут молотка теперь запрещён (по непонятным причинам)
т.е. собрал сульфурас (молоток + око) получил ачивку,пару гц с гильд чата,и привет...
НИ саму легендарку разумеется ни заготовку нельзя использовать как модельку для радости своих глаз...
крафтить заготовку в 5.2. начинайте априори только после того как выпало вам Око... теперь от заготовки нет никакого толку,смысла покупать заранее реги тоже нет,тк. око может годами не падать.. я собрал реги на 3 сульфураса ! пока сфармил одно Око...

Качал монахиней репутацию с Гидраксианскими Повелителями Вод и на четвёртый кд совершенно неожиданно выпало Око Сульфураса. Зная, что двуручное дробящее носить не могу, все равно решил скрафтить это чудо. Для коллекции, скажем так :)

Читаю комментарии на вовхеде, и становится обидно за тех, кто целенаправленно фармит сей предмет на протяжении нескольких месяцев или даже лет совершенно безуспешно. Была б моя воля, с удовольствием отдал бы итем нуждающимся.

Печально, что Сульфурас нельзя трансмугрифицировать ) как и "Сульфуронский молот", который на Борейке сегодня стоит 15К. Поняв это, расхотелось дальше ходить в "Огненные Недра" за "Око Сульфураса", хотя у одного твинка оно есть, просто он не сможет взять Сульфурас в руки, т.е. полный ноль ) дивидентов ) Но тот кто возмет Сульфурас в свои руки кроме ачивы ничего не получит, а она мне как бы и не нужна вроде ) потому как сейчас она ломаного гроша не стоит, ведь недра сейчас 90-ми проходятся даже в самом плохом шмоте, соло ненапрягаясь.

Сегодня неожиданно для меня на 9-ое КД выпало Око Сульфураса!)) Друг попросил пропаровозить своего Лока 64 лвла) Реги на Сульфуронский молот уже давно были собраны! Самый гиморный реагент был Кровь Горы, так как на Галакронде 1 шт стоила 1к решил собрать кровь сам! Пока ходил за оком зафармил и кровь)
Всем кто и вправду хочет молоточек желаю удачи в выпадении ока!)

Рыдал горючими слезами, когда узнал, что он не скалируется на БГ в зависимости от уровня. =( А я так надеялся, что ПВП твинком буду разбивать врагам лица легендаркой до капа. В итоге, из-за отсутствия скалирования, на бг 60-69 Сульфурас приравнивается к серой шмотке, из-за катастрофической разницы между ним и любой синью/зеленью =(

Будьте внимательны! Первый, самый заплюсованный, комментарий вводит в заблуждение - сегодня чуть не сдохла в лаве, плывя к Черной кузне, а все зря. Выплавляется молот у Черной наковальни, а не у Черной кузни.

Итак, тикет, который я написал:
Здравствуйте. Если уровень эпических предметов в рейдах старых дополнений вырос, по-моему, с выходом препатча Dragonflight, то уровень легендарных только неделю, или две назад. Например: у меня в сумке лежит Темная скорбь, 35-го уровня, но игрок, который соберет этот топор сегодня, получит его уже 115-го уровня (что неплохо для использования в таймволках). This is currently a weapon open for anyone who could wield it and use it effectively. The reason why many warriors give/pass it to Paladins and Shamans is mainly because many warriors spec Mortal Strike, and well we all know how Mace Spec goes :P.

For 2handed fury, this mace is very powerful indeed.

This weapon is not dropped, but rather may be forged by anyone who has obtained both the Sulfuron Hammer and Eye of Sulfuras. A skilled (300) blacksmith is required to make the hammer, and the Eye drops only, and rarely (about a 3% rate), off of Ragnaros himself. The plans for the Sulfuron Hammer are obtained by turning in a Sulfuron Ingot to Lokhtos Darkbargainer in the Grim Guzzler in Blackrock Depths. There is no reputation requirement to receive the plans.

The Sulfuron Hammer is certianly not worth the cost without having the Eye of Sulfuras. Don't expect to see the EoS drop.

If you do with this, prepare to get lots of flack about tanking other 2h's, even if they're updrages.

This can be made by combining Sulfuron Hammer (made by a blacksmith with 300 skill) and Eye of Sulfuras (3% drop chance from Ragnaros).

Even after instances such as BWL, AQ40 and Naxx, this is a very desireable weapon: the proc is a great equalizer to its lower stats as compared to weapons such as Severance and Ashkandi/Kalimdors, although clearly Dark Edge of Insanity and Naxx weapons like Corrupted Ashbringer/Might of Menethil are superior.

Still, this weapon will serve for quite some time into the expansion, up until quest items such as the Honed Voidaxe are available (and that's a quest item) - I'm very glad I got mine, and have never had cause to regret not waiting for a 2h sword or axe. The high top end damage and the frequent proc make it a very good option, and it is one that Shamen can equip, unlike the swords.

Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros is a crafted/fused mace.

It requires you to get a Legendary (Orange) item to drop from Ragnaros, the last boss in MC call the Eye of Sulfuras.

Once you have the eye you need to gather mats to make Sulfuras, a worse epic BoE version of the mace that you will then combine with the Eye to form the Legendary mace.

Mats for the epic mace are
8 Sulfuron Ingots - Drop off Golemagg the Incinerator in MC
20 Dark Iron Bars - Made from 8 Dark Iron ore which can only be smelted at the Dark forge in BRD near the MC attunment
50 Arcanite Bars
25 Essence of Fire
10 Blood of the Mountain - Rare drop out of Dark Iron Veins
10 Lava Core - Blue BoE drop in MC
10 Firey Core - Blue BoE drop in MC

You will need someone to craft the epic mace. This requires someone to be exualted with the Thorium Brotherhood. They can be any type of blacksmith to forge the hammer which must be done at the Black Anvil located in BRD at Lord Insindus.

Once you have the Eye and the epic hammer fuse them togther to creat Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

Druids get 24 AP and 120 HP untalented (slightly more with Heart of the Wild). Not. Terribly. Legendary.

Weapon damage and procs are non-factors for weapons in a Druid's form.

The burst damage for other classes is solid, however.

For warriors only? I think not, fellow shamans! I fell this weapon is better for shamans than warriors, personally. With a Windfury Weapon buff, and when it procs, that's almost a guaranteed fiery ball cast (from mace). So, if you're in a MC run, whether its a pick-up group, or a guild run, you have every right to roll need for the materials!

A few interesting tidbits about the Hand of Rag's fireball proc.

The following abilities I've found capable of triggering the fireball:

Instant attacks such as Heroic or Crusader Strike
Seal of Command procs
In some cases judgments have triggered the fireball.

The fireball is capable of critting. With all of these taken into account, a ret paladin heavy on crit gear has the potential for a heavy total damage output with the help of the fireball proc from a single swing or a series of attacks in a very short amount of time. It is an expensive sucker, though.

The fireball is affected by spell dmg.

I tested wearing 400 spell dmg gear VS 0 spell dmg gear. Fireball hits for about 100 more dmg each time with 400spell dmg, not the best spell dmg % but hey it's better than nothing.

It should be noted that the proc rate on Hand of Rag's fireball effectively adds about another 10ish dps, but the extra damage will not scale as your gear improves.

Because of that, I didn't feel comfortable upgrading my HoR until level getting a weapon that had higher end damage and dps was above and beyond what my old, trusty rag had. Well... maybe that and I was a bit overly sentimental. Anyway, Hand of Rag will serve you well until you get a 90 dps weapon. Perhaps the Voidaxe may have been an upgrade, but its top end damage was lower, lacked a proc, and only did one dps more.

i would love to see an sort of ''heroic mode'' for all the old raids, for lvl 70 that is maybe tuned for 25 people or 40 as the orginal one is.
myself never saw either AQ40 or Naxx more then the movies the guild Curse (on Vek'nilash EU) did. :S

Bornakk confirmed they won't, ever, allow upgrade of legendaries.

When you receive a legendary item, it is a special accomplishment that everybody who sees you with it will recognize. We don't want a person to get one of these and have it be so special that they never have to replace it. Like all items, they are meant to have their limit of power and you will eventually find a potential improvement to replace it and move on. We currently have no plans to change our design philosophy and allow items to scale with the player. (source.)

Yes and no... Hand of Rag offers superior dps to a lot of 2h Outland weaps, until the mid 60's rares. After about lv 67 there are all too many options for superior dps weapons.

which ofcourse doesnt mean you will be deleting/vendoring/disenchanting it, because nothing says awesome like standing in the city with sulfuras/thunderfury/atiesh and to a lesser degree the glaives, and thoridal looks to be getting as common as the glaives too.

no it wont last you forever, but im pretty sure not even frostmourne will last anyone forever, with progression comes replacement, in the case of this item, thunderfury or atiesh, will it feel like any less of an accomplishment, or feel less legendary standing with guildies?

the answer to that is no, these will never cease to be anything less than the creme de la creme, best of the best, making people jealous and impressing new players with the looks, stats and the great dps and abilities for their level, and even today (thunderfury proc/atiesh aura and the fireball proc on this) are unmatched and unrivaled in ANY other item available.

cherish this, as you would cherish a rare epic mount, a special pet, or that item you worked so long to get that looks so awesome it makes you smile looking at it, because this should make you smile and feel proud just the same and even more.

*edit* perspective is the key, if you had fun and a sense of accomplishment getting this item, it doesnt matter at what level you got it, or if you only had a couple of weeks of use because of a replacement or expansion.

Possible reference to MC Hammer?

The legendary weapon Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros is seen as the ultimate sign of mastery of Molten Core (MC). Due to this hammers connection to MC, it could be seen as a reference to MC hammer.

Actually, from what I've seen there's usually some sort of explanation as to why some characters are 'stronger' than others. For example the reason Kael'thas is stronger than the old world endbosses is because he absorbed all the mana from all of Netherstorm with the manaforges. Illidan, well, he has demonic powers granted by Sargeras, the most powerful titan; I'd say he's stronger than Kel'thuzad who is a mere lackey of Arthas and saying that he's about 10 levels lower than Arthas seems about right. Atiesh is cleansed when the player receives it, so it isn't as powerful as when Medivh wielded it. And so on, so forth.

yea ingot is about 10% drop rate, probably harder to get then the legendary eye nowadays, owing you need so many for Sulfuron Hammer

I just got this hammer on my paladin. The Essences of fire, Arcanite bars, Lava and fiery cores and the Dark Iron bars are by far the easiest mats to get. The ingots and the eye are a lot trickier, but for me, the hardest part were the Blood of the Mountain. Nobody farms Dark Iron anymore (atleast not on my server) so these are really hard to come by.

You can either get them from Dark Iron deposits or Molten Destroyers in MC. In the end, I had bought 9 of them but only got 1 to drop. You might test your luck by farming BRD while waiting for the Molten Destroyers to respawn. You need 230 mining to do this, and farming Dark Iron ore got me to 310 mining. Pretty handy!

It is indeed a healer mace, it's quest chain is a mix between atiesh and quel'sarrar (You have to collect Fragments from the bosses in 25 man Ulduar) and you have to throw the un-finished mace into yogg-sarons maw, and collect it once you have defeated him. It's epic.

Blizzard has stated that Rag will be coming back in Cataclysm as a boss. HOWEVER, it appears from the current info available that MC will not be removed, nor will this item. Rag will simply also appear in another location (apparently Hyjal present) similar to Kael'thas and Magister's Terrace.

Apparently, this will not be available after Cataclysm comes out. I'm not exactly positive but it is what i heard. It's not like you will need it though, but like all legendary items, they are cool to have, so try to get it if you want before Cataclysm.

Eye dropped for me today, after having farmed Ragnaros for it 22 times in total with a druid friend. (80 paladin, 80 druid)
Having played pre BC as a raiding paladin and never had a chance at it, my soul may finally be at peace.

(For anyone still wondering for whatever reasons, having the mace beforehand while farming for it makes no difference whatsoever)

Quick tutorial: How obtain Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.

1. Go to Molten Core
2. Drop Sulfuron Ingot from Golemagg the Incinerator

4. Exchange 1 Sulfuron Ingot for Plans: Sulfuron Hammer
5. From this moment begins the hardest part. You must do Sulfuron Hammer! You need:

7. Combine Eye with Sulfuron Hammer and create your Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.

As of July 5th, 2010, I have crafted me a Sulfuras. Through this long and annoying period, I have discovered many things that I liked and did not like about this, and I can safely say this was difficult, as intended. Overall, in order of ease, this is how I rate the items. (0 Incredibly annoying/ difficult, 5 Very easy/almost instant)

Sulfuron Hammer: 0
Blood of the Mountain 0.5
Fiery Cores: 5
Lava Cores: 4.5
Essence of Fire: 5
Dark Iron Bars: 3
The Eye: 0-4 (It's all a matter of luck.)

Now for me, and hopefully for other folks you'll get this lucky too, the eye was VERY easy for me to get. And the next run I did after getting the eye, it dropped again. Good luck everyone!

Death Knights, Warriors, Shamans, Paladins, and Druids are the only classes who can receive this achievement. Before 3.3.0 It was owner but now its Wielder. So must equip it to get it. Just wanted to clarify on the classes who could get it.

Finally made Sulfuras last night after almost a year of doing MC twice weekly on my Warrior and DK. It was well worth it in my opinion. I decided to run MC last night with my brother and seeing as I've been running MC forever, I've grown used to not seeing the Eye drop and as soon as Ragnaros dropped and I got resurrected (got launched backwards onto a cliff with low hp), I looted the corpse and there the Eye was, shining in all its glory.

So the moral of the story is to never give up on your goals, they're likely to be achieved when you least expect it.

Good luck to everyone else that's clearing MC weekly and hasn't seen the Eye drop yet or has seen it drop but someone else won it, you'll eventually get it and it will be well worth the wait.

This weapon is not any harder than ''Thunderfury'' to get.
The hardest is ofc getting the eye, very low drop rate. ''Eye of Sulfuras''.
The mats for it are actually also very, very hard and not cheap.
Sulfuron ingots are from one boss in Molten Core, ''Magmadar'' or something, can't really remember, drop rate is 50% for 1 - 2 of them. They're AH for like 100-1000G
There's also Blood of the Mountain from ''Molten Destroyers'' or from the mines inside Molten Core. Can also be mined Searing Gorge as I remember. The Bloods can be on AH for 100-1000G
From the mines there drops some Ores you need 160 of them. Go to BRD just outside the Molten Core entrance. There's ''The black anvil'' 8ores each bar. You need 20 bars.
Essence of Fire'' is just a Molten Core drop from any mob, very easy.
There's also ''Arcanite bars'' as I can't remember how to get:/.
There Cores they're not very hard to get.. ''Fiery Core'' And ''Lava Core'' dropped from the mobs inside the instance. They're also for AH like 10 - 50G difference of servers.
This may sound like very many mats, but you are able to get it anytime!
If you see the epic Mace ''Sulfuron Hammer'' on AH you can see it for 10000-25000G that's very, very many G. So if I was you preffer you do the mats youself, not smart buying it that much):

Add some time into this equation as Eye of Sulfuras is a 1% drop rate off of Sulfuras, Sulfuron Ingot is about a 30% drop from Golemagg the Incinerator.

As far as I remember, this cuty little eye dropps from Ragnaros and not from Sulfuras. Correct me, if it was changed during the last week :)

Just Finished getting my Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros today took me about a full week from Tuesday the 2nd Nov 2010. To tuesday Nov 9 2010. I spent a few days farming ore in wintergrasp to get the gold for ingots how ever I was able to get a guild member to make the hammer and then forged it in dalaran :P

Took me close to 2 years (starting at level 80 dual boxing MC every reset) to get it to drop but I can confirm that it does still drop as of patch 4.0.1.

I had the Sulfuron Hammer made in 2008 (the Sulfuron Ingots took several months to drop + the arcanite bars, lava/fiery cores) so it was collecting dust in the bank.

This is still a pricey item to obtain as of 4.0.3a due to rising prices in Arcanite on many servers. Regardless it will soon be required for a guild achievement (We are legendary? or something like that.) in Cataclysm so expect more people to farm this.

For those of us who twink level 60 toons this weapon is king, standing toe to toe with Dark Edge of Insanity. I myself enjoy great success with the hammer in my PVP fights.

The proc is relativly frequent and is very noticable when it happens. It causes an explosion on the target and hits on average for 300, leaving a small dot behind as well. Due to the high cost and low drop chance on the eye, you still will not see many of these things around.

I got mine by typing /e pokes Ragnaros' eye out.

after 6 months of farming I typed that and voila it dropped haha. I know its all luck but I found that absurdly ironic.

Here's a step by step guide on how to obtain this hammer.

Step 1: Get to level 60. (Minimum.)
Step 2: (Optional) Become a Blacksmith and get your Blacksmithing skill to 300. (Minimum.)
Step 3: Get 39 other level 60s (Or about 3 or so level 85s.) to get in a raid group with you.
Step 4: Run Molten Core until you get a Sulfuron Ingot.
Step 5: Once you get it, go to Blackrock Depths.
Step 6: Go to the Grim Guzzler within Blackrock Depths.
Step 7: Talk to Lokthos Darkbargainer while you have the Sulfuron Ingot to obtain a Thorium Brotherhood Contract.
Step 8: Take the quest available from the contract called A Binding Contract.
Step 9: Complete the quest with your ingot.
Step 10: If you are a blacksmith yourself, skip to step 12. If you are not, proceed to step 11.
Step 11: Find someone that you trust that is a Blacksmith with a level of 300, then give them the plans, and make sure you know who it is and that you can contact them later. Skip to step 13.
Step 12: Use the plans yourself. Proceed to the next step.
Step 13: Get another group of people capable of running Molten Core again, and this time run it until you have the following items. (Some items may have to be found outside of Molten Core. Look at the item's page to find out where you can get it.)

Dark Iron Bar x 20
Arcanite Bar x 50
Essence of Fire x 25
Blood of the Mountain x 10
Lava Core x 10
Fiery Core x 10
Sulfuron Ingot x 8
Eye of Sulfuras x 1

Step 14: If you are a Blacksmith yourself, skip to step 16. If not, go to the next step.
Step 15: Contact the person that you previously gave the pattern to, give them the collected materials. (Except the eye.) and have them make the Sulfuron Hammer and give it to you.
Step 16: Create the Sulfuron Hammer with the materials that you have collected.
Step 17: Use the Eye of Sulfuras to combine the Sulfuron Hammer with it to create Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros
Step 18: Enjoy your new achievement!

After having the eye drop whilst farming MC one week, I decided that I'd go and put together the hammer for a lark, despite being a huntard who can't actually equip it. It's not like the mats are that hard to get - just kept an eye out on the AH and don't think I'd spent any more than 7.5k or so on ingots/blood.

I'd offered the mats up for free if anyone else in the guild who could actually wield it managed to get an eye before I finished gathering it all together, but given it was a completely solo endeavour bar needing a blacksmith guildy to create the sulfuron hammer, it's totally worth it for earning two guild achievements in the process. Just a pity that you seem to have to wield it to get the feat of strength, which puts a damper on being able to provide proof of my efforts, as any random person can link an item in trade chat, whether they have it or not...

Next up, Thunderfury! At least I can equip that, and as I've already snatched up the elementium ingots cheap from the AH, it's just a matter of time before the bindings eventually drop.

Last tuesday I went into MC as usual, running through the bosses as usual... But then it happened. I got my second binding from Garr! I went into a state of satisfaction of wich i've never felt before.
I pressed on, looking in my bags through the entire time. Then... As I killed Ragnaros... Yeah, you geussed it right, the Eye dropped too! I bow down to the WoW-gods, and thank them.

Anyway, what I wanted to say was that, for the guild achievement, you don't need to wear the item, but for the Feat of Strength you need to be able to equip it.

I'm just putting this out there, by lowering the level areas of Searing Gorge, and Burning Steppe's Blizzard has effectively made this weapon a bit harder to get, now you have to do all your Dark Iron farming, for Bars, and Bloods, in either BRD or MC, though bloods can drop off the Molten destroyers in MC as well, Happy hunting. :)

Why? I get that people might choose different enchants for different effects but...but...

Enchants are like a beautiful wax on a new car, having that "Executioner" or "Berserking" at the bottom of the hammer is a mark that you care about your legendary. Plus, when you eventually whip this out during your current raiding (and you will) at least your DPS wont suffer nearly as badly.

I have made an instructable about how to make this weapon yours, without burning thousands on the AH. However, it is quite time consuming. like, really time consuming. kk, lets start this tutorial UP!

1. Kill Golemagg the Incinerator in Molten Core(MC) about 25 times to get 9 sulfuron ingots, 1 for the pattern for the other hammer, 8 for the mats for the hammer. turn in one ingot to the darkbargainer in the bar in BWD for the pattern, and give it to the person making the hammer for u, or learn it urself
2. kill things in molten core and BRD until you have 160 dark iron ore. this must then be forged into 20 bars. also this can be mined from deposits in higher lvl zones with lava :)
2.5. You must have or know someone with the pattern to forge dark iron bars. if you dont, u can get it by putting 2 star rubies, 10 truesilver bars, and 20 gold bars in a spectral chalice in BRD. look up the forge spell for more info on this
3. Mine about 500 thorium veins (ooze covered or not, big or small, doesnt matter), or until you have 50 arcane crystals, and 50 thorium bars.
4. get your bars and crystals Xmuted into arcane bars. pattern for this Xmute can be gotten from Alchemist Pestlezugg in Gadgetzan.
5. get 25 essences of fire from various mobs in MC, BRD, and the guys on the lava hill in Un'Goro. shouldnt be too hard, i recommend doing MC tho, it gives u alot of stuff u need for the mace anyways, so win-win.
6. get 10 blood of the mountain by killing about 125 molten destroyers in MC. also, it can, but rarely does, drop from dark iron deposits. These spawn by a soft reset if all bosses are alive, so if you're milking it for these, just kill em, mine, step out of dungeon for a half hour, rinse repeat.
7. Kill stuff in MC until you have 10 lava cores. you should get these tho just from trying to get the other stuff.
8. Kill MORE stuff in MC until you have 10 fiery cores. you should get these also from just killing other stuff for mats in MC.
9. get the BS you gave the pattern to to forge the sulfuron hammer for you.
9. kill Ragnaros in MC(final boss) approximately 25 times to get the eye of Sulfuras. then morph it to the hammer and you got urself a feat of strength and guild achiev.

Tips: If you really want this weapon, run MC every week you have the hour or so it takes. also, you need alot of the same stuff for thunderfury, so if your class has one handed sword capabilities, then i suggest you go check my tutorial on that one too and do it at the same time.

Also, if i made any mistakes, please feel free to correct me, nobody's perfect :) Otherwise, enjoy your Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.

Note: I used approximate numbers, so u may need to do more/less than i said.

The Blood of the Mountain is roughly an 8% drop rate off of Molten Destroyers. Pretty easy to farm at 85, but due to the limited amount of them in MC, its good to kill them all on the Reset day, then come back later in the week when the trash respawns. I got about 2-3 each week from doing that, and it works pretty well. The dark iron ore usually just has to be farmed by someone with mining, pretty easy if they're 85 as they can pass by most trash to get to the nodes. Other than those, you can usually get the rest of the mats by running through the trash that aggros while on your way to the bosses. Overall, quite an easy weapon to get except for the Eye which just has an annoyingly low droprate. Then again, it is Legendary;)

With some of the Vanilla weapons making a comeback these days (being sharpened or reclaimed. Some are even being dug up.) Would it really be impossible to say that Sulfuras might make a return as well, though probably a bit less legendary, after killing Rag 2.0?

just go in kill only the grps with destroyers, wait 30minutes for a soft reset go back inside, see if any new destroyers respawn, if not kill all grps but 1, wait 30m again, go back in and there should be more to kill. how i been doing it, and am currently working on numbers 2nd and 3rd hand of rag. druid has one, shaman and warrior will soon follow

This legendary was quite easy to complete. As long as you can get the eye of sulfuras to drop, everything else can be bought off the AH for reasonable prices. I completed the legendary within a week after the eye dropped for me.

Probably the hardest part was trying to obtain Blood of the Mountains. I only found a few on the AH so I had to park all my alts in Molten Core and do half hour soft resets. The only mob that drops them are the Molten Destroyers, which there are about 6 of near Garr.

This weapon probably could have been a great combo used with the corrupted ashbringer in titan's grip and probably could have been used to tank too since corrupted ashbringer can regenerate health but since neither sulfuras hand of ragnaros nor corrupted ashbringer are obtainable today they cant be used in such a combo however it would be useless as the level cap is much higer than level 60 and they would quickly become useless.

So last night me and a friend " who had been running MC for the eye a lil over a year now" ran Molten Core...since he was already locked to the instance on his main he helped run me through it on his alt...and it dropped...this was only my 8th Ragnaros kill...so after it dropped vent was quiet and he was probably looking something like this .___. and i got it since he didn't have the actual mace on that toon...freebies.....FTW!

As well as my own two cents.
Ragnaros is the Lord of Fire, the god of an elemental plane. He is "weaker" than Illidan not naturally, but because in Molten Core he was never fully released out of the elemental plane of fire, drastically reducing his capability to use his own element. If Illidan was to fight Ragnaros with both of them going all out, Illidan would lose.

The Lich King is weaker than Ragnaros, because he can be killed, just at a terrible cost. Ragnaros on the other hand must always exist lest fire consume everything. You can banish Ragnaros, but you cannot kill him.
(Killing the Lich King without having someone else chain Ner'zhul's soul to anothers soul causes Ner'zhul to finally become free as he did when he took over Arthas. That's why someone has to take up the helm.)

Atiesh was held by Medivh, and the staff is always a reflection of it's wielder's capabilities. Since Medivh was the Last Guardian of Tirisfal, he controlled an incredible amount of power, enough to strike down Sargaras's physical form. Atiesh held in another hand though, does not reflect the same capability of the one who hold's such tremendous power.

Finally, Illidan is strong because he consumed a vial of water from the Well of Eternity after being granted power from Sargaras. Sargaras is a titan, it is unknown whether or not he is the strongest (due to the fact that no other titan has been introduced in the game other than by name.)

If we were to go lore-wise, the bosses would truly go like this.

Tyrande Whisperwind > Sargaras =?= Ragnaros > The Lich King > Kel'thuzad > Thrall > Illidan > Kael'thas

Yes, I realize where Tyrande is. She is the Chosen of Elune, and if you've looked through all of the lore I have, at one point Elune stops Sargaras from killing Tyrande, implying that while under Elune's protection Tyrande is immortal.

Sargaras and Ragnaros I'm not sure of, due to the fact that they have both existed since the beginning. There has always been the titans, and has always been Earth, Fire, Water, Wind.

Back to on topic.

This legendary is by far still one of the hardest to obtain and if anyone truly wants this they will have to prepare themselves to farm for quite a bit of the materials. Even in Cataclysm I am currently helping a friend farm this and in seven Molten Core runs we have three Sulfuron Ingots, Four Blood of the Mountain, tons of fiery and lava cores, tons of Dark Iron and Arcanite Bars. We still have no Eye. The Eye is the one thing that will make you hate anything in the world, because you will, unless your are very lucky, have to wait a week about 3-8 times before it drops. Likely even more. I wish luck to anyone who wants to craft this amazing weapon and bless them when they go to show off their hard work in a major city.

(Fyi. It is VERY much worth it to farm that ninth Sulfuron Ingot to have a friend craft the Hammer for you. It is unsurprisingly likely to have your materials stolen due to the sheer amount of time it takes to gather them.)

Very 60 twink feral druid weapon now that Atiesh and Might of Menethil are unattainable.

The 60 pvp reward weapons come close, though, but the 90-ish dps, including the proc, on Sulfuras should win out.

And came to think, since the enchants wont show on it, would for example: show on it? cause they surely don't show if the weapon is enchanted

Just got mine today after a total of 27 MC runs on my twink. The proc is a little bit different on live than it is on wowhead. On my tooltip it says it does 340 damage, 85 over 10 seconds, and deals 6 to any melee attackers. Perhaps the proc is effected by talents, or gear.

Just confirmed, when bone shield is up it's 340. Without bone shield it's 333.

Okay. On the 4th or 5th run of MC, the eye dropped. We weren't even aware of the eye back then. I let my brother's pally have it (It was my bro on his pally and I on my DK). A week later, we run MC again and the eye actually drops twice in a row. It then goes to my DK since my brother already has Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. It only took us 3 days to gather up the mats for the Sulfuron hammer without even having ahead start or what not. I can't believe people have such a hard time wit this.... Guess we just get extremely lucky!

In the upcoming patch (4.3) Blizzard is coming out with Transmogrification.

Sadly you can't Transmogrify legionary weapons at this time according the the rules that they posted on the official forums.

What with all the downvotes? Earlier on you would get the achievement just by owning the hammer! Thats been changed! That makes my post useful!

Apparently you need to be able to EQUIP two-handed weapons in order to get the Feat of Strength.
I - as a rogue - got the hammer today, but no FOS.

I guess this would be the only logic solution for a lot of people - not for me... So for all classes out there, who can't equip two handed maces, don't waste your time and money of this FOS!

When i Got my Громовая Ярость, благословенный клинок Искателя Ветра and my Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса i noticed that i got the guild Achievment before the actual feat of strength achievment (which i got when i equipped them)
I think it's very important to know that if noone in the raid can use the glaives or any other legendary simply raidroll them because the guild the character is in will earn the guild achievment for the legendary weapon if the character is at the required reputation level with the guild.

Ran my 12th Rag kill and it finally dropped.

At the same run I also got the left binding.

I don't know if this is lucky or not ( it is for the Eye since I was farming for this as Ive had my Sulfuron hammer done for quite some time ) but I thought after I had gotten the Eye I wouldnt need to come back to MC anymore. But I think Blizzard knew this and gave me the binding so that I would endlessly farm MC again for the other binding... /sigh

Atleast my Sulfuras is done.

Matches perfectly with my Judgement set and my phenoix hatchling.

Only wish is that I had Ashes of A'lar to make the ultimate Paladin w/ burning holy flames look to counter all the blue , black and dark dreary looking Death Knights.

I got lucky as hell with this one. Took me only 9 Rag Kills to get the Eye and I just AH'd the mats to craft the Sulfuron Hammer for under 10k. I'm just 6 years late in getting this when it counted. :-(

You can make this as a mage, or other class that can't equip it, but you will NOT receive the FoS for crafting it.

**You do not get the guild achievement or the feat of strength achievement if you can't equip the item, just warning anyone who's been thinking of buying the sulfuron hammer. Sadly I paid out 15k to discover that on my warlock.**

Truth is that you DO GET the GUILD achievement without being able to equip Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros if you are Honored or higher with your guild.

Most of the items required to make this are easy to get nowadays, except for the Blood of The Mountian, and the Eye of Sulfuras and the reason for each is they have only a small drop chance, with the Blood having a 6% drop rate when the Destroyers do drop items, which seems to be about 1/3 of the time which means that they have about a 2% drop rate so they actually have a lower drop rate then the eye which has a 3% drop rate, So I can say that after 4 months of hitting this every week, the drop rates are unfortunally accurate as I still don't have the hammer made or the Eye, so if your'e trying to get this I suggest that you get some help from your guild to help with the mats by running it separate from you. Also Good Luck and Good Game

I would say the most annoying things to get hold of to make the hammer is the eye of sulfras and the blood of the mountain

All list below happend on Eitrigg realm.

Still waiting for the EYE, and this is arguably the most difficult item to acquire.

For the Sulfuron Hammer materials many complain about the Blood of the Mountain to be difficult to obtain and somebody spends months to acquire necessary amount (10 of those) to make the hammer.

Well I spent 3 days to find those bloods (also including the rest of the materials).

It seams that not many people know but Molten Destroyers re-spawn after defeating the raid. the only mobs which does not re-spawn are patrolling Core Hounds and obviously the bosses and associated adds.

The re-spawn timer i don't know but I think is about an hour or so.

Anyways I was running the MC after the raid defeat every day (3 or 4 times per day) only for the Destroyers and sure enough I got some Bloods out of it. Not every run brought Bloods but lets say every 3 or 4 runs brought one (once I got 2). Also Running Blackrock Depths for Dark Iron nodes helps.

This is what i got after 3 days of intensive mining, farming the Destroyers and AH camping:

5 from the Destroyers,
3 from AH camping 1500G average price,
2 from Dark Iron Nodes one from the Raid Node (those do not re-spawn after defeating the raid unfortunately, those you find at first run those are what you get for the week) and one from the Blackrock Depths dungeon nodes.

Obviously if you don't have gold to do AH camping you could just continue to farm the Destroyers and mining BrD which will increase your blood farming time to about a week max.

Rest of Materials are easy and cheap enough to get even Sulfuron Ingots (got 2 my self during Tuesday double MC run, waiting for raid to reset and than running it again) and rest off AH for average price 700G, there were 15 listed in AH that day so i suspect that there is a fair amount of them listed in AH at any time to not have problems with it.

The rest of stuff, Dark iron Ingots you will get by mining the Nodes and smelting those on the same run,

Arcanite Bars from AH or if you have a alt or friend with Alchemy you can make those yourself (Transmutation mastery help a lot obviously), materials for it you get in Silithus mining the Thorium nodes there (or Blasted lands).

Essence of Fire is dirt cheap in AH (at least on Eitrigg).

Cores you get anyways during MC run and during farming the Destroyers for the bloods and you will probably have an overflow of those (cores) to sell in AH or turn them in for Thorium brotherhood reputation grind in Grim Guzzler (why Thorium Brotherhood reputation? because they have some cool transmog plans for blacksmiths you want to put your hands on, those items sell well in AH too) .

Hi this is my full guide to get sulfuras hand of ragnaros.

First get all things for sulfuron hammer!

how to get things for sulfuron hammer.

sulfurn ingot: buy on ah or just go farming in molten core.
dark iron bar: buy this on ah or just go farm dark iron depoist (you need 8 dark iron ore for dark iron bar so hard)
arcanite bar: you can buy the THINGS for arcanite bar (because arcanite bar is overpriced on my server)
essence of fire: this is not hard to get 1 g on ah or just go molten core
blood of the mountain: This is hard. like 800-1200 g on my server on ah and 1% drop on dark iron depoist so...
lava core: this is like essence of fire easy.
fiery core: this is like lava core and essence of fire easy.
so now you got sulfuron hammer!

now just farm ragnaros and get eye of sulfuras.

now put the things togheter
gratz now you got sulfuras hand of ragnaros. Hope i could help!:)

Got this on my lvl 60 bank alt. I boosted it to 60 via RaF a few years back and then bought the hammer off the AH for 10k a few months ago. Ran this bank alt through MC with my DK on another account and voila, the eye dropped at the 13th time of asking. Good times :)

This is way to get badas at 60:

STEP 1: Get Paladin (Ret) to 60 and lock it.

STEP 2: Get PvP epics for 60

STEP 3: Get full judgment set and tmogg it with ur PvP epics.

STEP 4: Get HoR and enchant it with feiry weap enchant.

STEP 5: Become a killing machine in BG's whit ur mogged judgemt and this legendary hammer

You are now officaly badas!

so me and my brothers are doing 60 twink, i boosted my brothers in mc 3 times, first time one binding dropped and my first brother(paladin) got it, second time eye dropped and my first brother got it too, 3rd time eye dropped agen and my second brother (shaman) got it. they have some parts of tier 1 but mostly pvp gear, i got full 2.5 tier and i dont get $%^&. its unfair

Last night, me and friend (Myself a fire mage and him an elemental shaman) decided to run through Molten Core for the battle pets when the Eye of Sulfuras dropped. Since he's been farming for this item on his paladin he thought he'd give it a try and see if it drops again, sure enough it dropped twice within 31 minutes of each other.

To create Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса you will first need to make a Сульфуронский молот
A person with 300 blacksmithing can make this hammer by getting the blacksmithing plans
from Локтос Зловещий Торговец at the BRD tavern. You need to give him a Сульфуронский слиток
(dropped by Големагг Испепелитель in MC ) in order to receive the plans.
Note that Сульфуронский молот is BoE so anyone can make it and then give it to you

Now you need the mats to make the hammer:

x8 Сульфуронский слиток (From Големагг Испепелитель in MC)
x20 Слиток черного железа (160 Руда черного железа , they're found in MC)
x50 Арканитовый слиток (Alchemists can transmute this. 1 Чародейный кристалл and 1 Ториевый слиток is required per Arcanite bar)
x25 Субстанция Огня (Drops from mobs in MC)
x10 Кровь Горы (Can be found while mining Dark iron deposit in MC, can also be dropped by Разрушитель из недр)
x10 Ядро лавы (Drops from mobs in MC)
x10 Огненное ядро (Drops from mobs in MC)

Now the last thing you need is Око Сульфураса
(4% chance of dropping from Ragnaros in MC)

When you have everything you are seconds away from getting your pretty hammer!
Simply combine Око Сульфураса with Сульфуронский молот

today my Eye of Sulfaras dropped, and I spent roughly 10k on the mats for making the Sulfaras mace :) Based on my realms economy I saved roughly 7k by making the mace myself, rather than buying it from the AH for 17k.

Here's a few small tips when farming mats:

A soft-reset respawns the Огненный великанs and the Разрушитель из недрs. I've camped a cleared MC several times during the lock-out period, farming these. Except for the ones at the entrance, every pair of these two may spawn a Giant or Destroyer next time. Kill both... even if there are two giants. It's the Destroyers that drop Кровь Горы.

Also, I've noticed that if you don't kill Ragnaros, the Руда черного железа nodes also respawn. I did a fresh run earlier today, killing only Garr and Geddon (on the offchance of a binding for Громовая Ярость, благословенный клинок Искателя Ветра). When I returned a couple of hours later, after resetting the instance, the nodes had also respawned.

If any warlock is thinking about getting this item for their Felguard/Wrathguard (using the glyph that allows them to equip a random weapon from your inventory), forget it. I spent some weeks and gold getting this item just to realize immediately after creating it, that your demon cannot equip this, even though he can with every other two handed mace. I wasted my time, hope you guys won't do the same mistake.

Imo all legendarys should work like a heirloom 1-90, since its so hard to obtain, with exception of cloak. Maybe that one unlocks after WOD launches so it can be sent to other toons.

So, I just completed Molten Core, and when I became in combat with Ragnaros, I tried the

/e pokes Ragnaros' eye out

And It worked, I looted the Eye of Sulfuras.

It annoys me that I have soloed Molten Core 6 time on my main (lvl 100 **DRUID**) and gotten the eye, literally every time (I stopped looting it after 3.. I have 3 of them in my bank.. Doing NOTHING..) And then I finally lvl my warrior to lvl 60, lock the XP and such.. I decide to buy a boost.. What do I get? Nothing warrior related, and not the eye.. Oh well, bad luck I guess? Tried again the next week.. Same damn result.. seems like my luck ran out at sixth time doing this raid? Lol.. I have already made the hammer.. I just need that damn eye.. Oh well, I already have Клинок невезения, that I even think might be better? Well, if it weren't for the Chance on Hit on the hammer..

Now I just wish that more people locked their xp at 60, so that I could actually get into a BG.. Just once.

Crafting this on a character that can't equip it will grant the related guild achievement Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса (гильдия), however it will not give you the personal feat of strength Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса.

BEWARE WARLOCKS!
This CAN'T be used by your Felguard/Wrathguard. If you were thinking as I did, it would be an amazing weapon for your pet, they cannot use it.
Save yourself months of farming and resources, it's sadly useless for us locks.

has anyone tested out brining their legendaries to time walking..
this goes for lich king, cata and mop legendaries also..obviously they don't scale up in level but if you bring them to the appropriate level, what happens?

I am just stunned, when I saw this is MUCH WORSE than arcanite reaper, the heirloom weapon. I like classic and bc, and we sometimes go twinking, but nowadays its harder and harder, cuz they intentionally make the game BAD! I am waiting for vanilla back again!

As of 8.3, legendary items are now transmoggable. Since you need to be able to equip the item to have it in your appearances, only the following classes can obtain Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса:

To craft the legendary weapon, you will need both Сульфуронский молот and Око Сульфураса.
The hammer materials:

8x Сульфуронский слиток from Големагг Испепелитель
25x Субстанция Огня from Огненные Недра bosses and trash
10x Ядро лавы from Огненные Недра bosses and trash
10x Огненное ядро from Огненные Недра bosses and trash
10x Кровь Горы from Разрушитель из недрs
20x Слиток черного железа which can be made by a miner (300) using 160x Руда черного железа. The ores can be mined in Огненные Недра and Глубины Черной горы. You can get the pattern to smelt the ore from Мрак'нел after completing Призрачный кубок.
50x Арканитовый слиток which can be made by an alchemist (275) using 50x Ториевый слиток (which can be made by miners (200) and 50x Чародейный кристалл (rare drop from mining Thorium)

It is very important to note that all of the materials and the hammer itself, are not soulbound, so they can be bought and sold at the auction house, or mailed between your characters.

The only thing needed afterwards is the Око Сульфураса, which is a rare drop from Рагнарос, the final boss of
Огненные Недра. This item will be soulbound once looted, so if you're looking for the achievement and the appearance, you will need to farm this on the classes mentioned above. Once you have it, simply mail yourself the Сульфуронский молот and use the eye to create the legendary Сульфурас, Рука Рагнароса!

I have left the same comment on Thunderfury, in case someone else has experienced the same thing as me (you are not alone). With the latest patch, both Thunderfury and Sulfuras now require level 30. My character is level 25 (with years of having these weapons) and is unable to equip them. This is the first time I have seen such a change in items that were already acquired, and the truth is that it has been quite painful to see that something that was already mine has been taken away from me.
