Used in the fight versus
Kael'thas (Tempest Keep)
and his 4 advisors.

Please note all of the Kael'Thas weapons are tagged as Party Loot, meaning every member of the raid may loot one of each item, if they so choose.
So please, any discussion of "What class gets what item" is quite moot.

I'm just speculating, but the fact the proc is 100% and lasts 30 secs might suggest that it is the wielder's duty to buff the whole raid?
Again, idle speculation, could be completely wrong so feel free to minus me out.

These are looted at the end of phase two of five phases in the Kael'Thas encounter. Every one in the raid needs to loot their gear from the weapons of the advisor's as soon as they go down as they'll be needed incredibly in phase four, and five depending on class.
During phase four when Kael'Thas is initially engaged he periodically on a timer does a series of pyroblats that hit the MT for 25k and need to be interrupted, the catch is there is a 100k damage shield Kael will put up right before doing this that the raid needs to burn through in less than 7 seconds. The buff from this staff helps the survival during this.
The order of the phases:
1: The advisor's come out one at a time
2: The advisor's weapons are Aoe'd down
3: The advisor's are all resurrected at once
4: Kael'Thas in engaged
5: Kael makes the raid fly around in "zero gravity"
Phase 4 and 5 cycle back and forth.

Can someone confirm that this buff applies from HoT (renew/rejuv+) ticks as well? Is there any CD between when the 30 secs are renewed or is it updated to new 30 secs each time the lock gets the a heal?
Thanks :)

Do these weapons apply their buff to the raid, or do they just buff the group?

Read the third equip bonus. After casting a healing spell on a target, the target receives a buff that cuts all fire and shadow damage in half. This buff is NOT indicated by an icon. Its main use is to protect the Kael'thas tank from the boss' pyroblast and the Warlock tank from taking too much damage.

Recuperate can trigger this effect. Rogues looking to solo Kael'thas might look into swapping this on for every Recuperate, or even offhanding it for the remainder of the fight. It's a damage sacrifice, but it goes a long way to lowering damage from Telonicus, Capernian, and Kael'thas himself.
Edit: No offhanding. It's main only. :(

Unlike the
Staff of Disintegration
, the buff applied from casting a heal with this weapon equipped will stay on the target even if you un-equip it. So you can for example as a Druid or Priest, cast a heal with the mace to apply
the buff
, and then equip the staff and activate
its buff
as well.

"Drop Chance: 107.78%" - does it mean it can drop 2 times in a single fight? :D or am I wrong?
