All Quest rewards from Classic through the Warlords of Draenor expansion now have a chance to upgrade up to Epic quality.
Item-levels of Rare and Epic quest rewards in Classic through Warlords of Draenor have been increased slightly in some cases.
Unique items that drop from rare enemies in Classic through Mists of Pandaria content now also have a chance to upgrade in quality.

ChopshereWith patch 8.2.5 we saw even more changes for F2P players with the introduction of party sync!

Party Sync is a new feature that makes it easier than ever for friends to party up and quest together. When players activate Party Sync, everyone in the party becomes aligned to the same quest state and phase. By mousing over a quest in your tracker, you can see who’s on a given quest, what their progress is, and who’s ready to turn it in. You’ll also have access to a “replay quest” feature that allows players who have already completed certain quests to replay those quests with their friends for rewards that are appropriate to their current level, regardless of the original level of the quest. Quests can be replayed for rewards once a day.

Draenei:

Gift of the Naaru: Heals the target for 20% of the caster's total health over 5 sec.

Shadow Resistance: Reduces Shadow damage taken by 1%.

Dwarf:

Explorer: You find additional fragments when looting archaeological finds and you can survey faster than normal archaeologists.
Frost Resistance: Reduces Frost damage taken by 1%.
Might of the Mountain: Critical strike bonus damage and healing increased by 2%.
Stoneform: Removes all poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleed effects and reduces all physical damage taken by 10% for 8 sec.

Gnome:

Arcane Resistance: Reduces Arcane damage taken by 1%.
Engineering Specialization: Engineering skill increased by 15.
Escape Artist: Escape the effects of any immobilization or movement speed reduction effect.
Expansive Mind: Maximum resource increased by 5%.
Nimble Fingers: Haste increased by 1%.

Human:

Diplomacy: Reputation gains increased by 10%.
Will to Survive: Removes all stun effects. This effect shares a 90 sec cooldown with other similar effects.
The Human Spirit: You gain 2% more of all secondary stats (Haste, Critical Strike, Mastery, Versatility) from all sources.

Night Elf:

Nature Resistance: Reduces Nature damage taken by 1%.
Wisp Spirit: Transform into a wisp upon death, increasing speed by 75%.
Quickness: Increases your chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks by 2%, and your movement speed by 2%.
Shadowmeld: Activate to slip into the shadows, reducing the chance for enemies to detect your presence. Lasts until cancelled or upon moving. Any threat is restored versus enemies still in combat upon cancellation of this effect.
Touch of Elune: Increases your Haste by 1% during the night. Increases your Critical Strike by 1% during the day.

Worgen:

Aberration: Reduces Shadow and Nature damage taken by 1%.
Altered Form: Enables Worgens to switch between human and Worgan forms
Darkflight: Activates your true form, increasing current movement speed by an additional 40% for 10 sec.
Flayer: Skinning skill increased by 15 and allows you to skin faster.
Running Wild: Drop to all fours to run as fast as a wild animal.
Viciousness: Increases critical strike chance by 1%.

Pandaren:

Bouncy: You take half falling damage.
Epicurean: Your love of food allows you to receive 100% more of the stats from Well Fed effects.
Gourmand: Your Cooking skill is increased by 15.
Inner Peace: You earn twice as much rested experience.
Quaking Palm: Strikes the target with lightning speed, incapacitating them for 4 sec, and turns off your attack.

Dark Iron Dwarf:

Dungeon Delver: While indoors, move 4% faster.
Fireblood: Removes all poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleed effects and increases your primary stat by 100 for each effect removed. Lasts 8 sec. 2 min cooldown.
Forged in Flames: Reduces damage taken from Physical attacks by 1%.
Mass Production: Items crafted by Blacksmithing are created twice as quickly.
Mole Machine: While outdoors, summon a Mole Machine that tunnels through the earth.

Kul Tiran:

Haymaker: Wind up, then unleash your might upon your foe, dealing 20 Physical damage, stunning for 3 sec, and knocking them back substantially. 2.5 minute cooldown
Brush It Off: Increases Versatility by 1%. When you take damage, heal for 2% of that amount over 4 sec.
Child of the Sea: Hold your breath for 50% longer and swim 10% faster.
Jack of All Trades: Increases all Tradeskills by 5.
Jack of All Trades: Reduces Frost and Nature damage taken by 1%.

Lightforged Draenei:

Light's Judgment: Call down a strike of Holy energy, dealing Holy damage to enemies within 5 yards after 3 sec. 40 yd. 2.5 min CD. Instant.
Forge of Light: Summon a Forge of Light, enabling Blacksmithing. Blacksmithing skill increased by 10.
Demonbane: Experience gained from killing Demons increased by 20%.
Light's Reckoning: When you die the Light avenges you, dealing Holy damage to enemies within 8 yards and healing allies.
Holy Providence: Reduces Holy damage taken by 1%.

Void Elf:

Spatial Rift: Tear a rift in space. Reactivate this ability to teleport through the rift.
Chill of Night: Reduces Shadow damage taken by 1%.
Entropic Embrace: Your abilities have a chance to empower you with the essence of the Void. Entropic Embrace increases damage and healing by 5% for 12 sec. It has a 33% proc chance with 60 seconds internal cooldown.
Ethereal Connection: Reduces the cost of Void Storage and Transmogrification by 50%
Preternatural Calm: Your spell casts are not delayed by taking damage.

Mechagnome:

Hyper Organic Light Originator: Summon 2 Organic Light duplicates to distract your foes. 3 minute cooldown.
Combat Analysis: You gather and analyze combat data every 5 sec, increasing your primary stat by 50, stacking up to 8 times. The data decays while out of combat.
Mastercraft: You function as a personal Blacksmithing Anvil, Cooking Fire, and Mining Forge. In addition, your limbs include every profession tool.
Emergency Failsafe: When you fall below 20% health, heal for 15% of your maximum health. This effect cannot occur more than once every 2.5 min.
Skeleton Pinkie: Allows opening of locked chests and doors on a level similar to yours.

Blood Elf:

Arcane Torrent: Remove 1 beneficial effect from all enemies within 8 yards and restore 3% of your Mana, 15 Energy, 15 Rage, 15 Focus, 1 Holy Power, 1 Chi, or 20 Runic Power.
Arcane Acuity: Increases critical strike chance by 1%.
Arcane Affinity: Enchanting skill increased by 10.
Arcane Resistance: Reduces Arcane damage taken by 1%.

Goblin:

Time is Money: Cash in on a 1% increase to haste.
Best Deals Anywhere: Always receive the best possible gold discount, regardless of faction.
Better Living Through Chemistry: Alchemy skill increased by 15.
Pack Hobgoblin: Calls in your friend, Gobber, allowing you bank access for 1 min.
Rocket Barrage: Launches your belt rockets at an enemy, dealing (1 + Level * 2) fire damage.
Rocket Jump: Activates your rocket belt to jump forward. Other effects which slow the rate of falling cannot be used within 10 sec after using this ability.

Orc:

Blood Fury: Increases melee and ranged attack power for 15 seconds.
Hardiness: Duration of Stun effects reduced by an additional 20%.
Command: Damage dealt by pets increased by 1%.

Tauren:

Brawn: Critical strike bonus damage and healing increased by 2%.
Cultivation: Herbalism skill increased by 15 and you gather herbs faster than normal herbalists.
Endurance: Increases your Stamina by (scales with level).
Nature Resistance: Reduces Nature damage taken by 1%.
War Stomp: Stuns up to 5 enemies within 8 yds for 2 sec.

Troll:

Regeneration: Health regeneration rate increased by 10%. 10% of total Health regeneration may continue during combat.
Beast Slaying: Experience gains from killing Beasts increased by 20%.
Berserking: Increases your haste by 15% for 10 sec.
Da Voodoo Shuffle: Reduces the duration of all movement impairing effects by 20%. Trolls be flippin' out mon!

Undead:

Cannibalize: When activated, regenerates 7% of total health and mana every 2 sec for 10 sec. Only works on Humanoid or Undead corpses within 5 yds. Any movement, action, or damage taken while Cannibalizing will cancel the effect.
Shadow Resistance: Reduces Shadow damage taken by 1%.
Touch of the Grave: Your attacks and damaging spells have a chance to drain the target, dealing 1932 to 2244 Shadow damage and healing you for the same amount.
Will of the Forsaken: Removes any Charm, Fear and Sleep effect. This effect shares a 30 sec cooldown with other similar effects. Additionally, you can breathe underwater indefinitely.

Highmountain Tauren:

Bull Rush: Charges forward for 1 sec, knocking enemies down for 1.5 sec. 2 min CD.
Pride of Ironhorn: Mining skill increased by 15 and allows you to mine faster.
Mountaineer: Increases Versatility by 1%.
Rugged Tenacity: Reduces damage taken by (character level) * 3.
Waste Not, Want Not: You have a chance to loot additional meat and fish.

Mag'har Orc:

Ancestral Call: Invoke the spirits of your ancestors granting you their power. Increases a random secondary stat by 102 for 12 seconds.
Open Skies: Increases mounted speed by 10%.
Savage Blood: Reduces the duration of Poisons, Diseases, and Curses by 10%.
Sympathetic Vigor: Increases pet health by 10%.

Nightborne:

Cantrips: Conjure up an Eldritch Grimoire, allowing you mail access for 1.5 min.
Arcane Pulse: Deals (200% Attack Power) Arcane damage to nearby enemies every 2 seconds and snares them by 50%. Lasts 20 sec.
Ancient History: Inscription skill increased by 15.
Magical Affinity: Increases magical damage 1%.
Arcane Resistance: Reduces Arcane damage taken by 1%.

Zandalari Troll:

Embrace of the Loa:

Embrace of Akunda: Your healing abilities have a chance to heal their target.
Embrace of Bwonsamdi: Your damaging abilities have a chance to deal Shadow damage and heal you for 100% of the damage done.
Embrace of Gonk: Increase movement speed by 5%.
Embrace of Kimbul: Your damaging abilities have a chance to cause the target to bleed over 6s. This effect stacks up to 3 times.
Embrace of Krag'wa: Taking damage has a chance to grant you additional Health and 66 Armor.
Embrace of Pa'ku: Your abilities have a chance to grant you 4% critical strike for 12 seconds.

Pterrordax Swoop: Reduces your falling speed for 2 minutes. 15 minute cooldown.
Regeneratin': Regenerate 100% of your maximum health over 6 sec, interrupted by damage. 2.5 min cooldown.
City of Gold: Increase gold earned from creatures by 2%

Vulpera:

Bag of Tricks: Pull your chosen trick from the bag and use it on target enemy or ally. Enemies take damage, while allies are healed. 1.5 minute cooldown.

Rummage Your Bag: Change the contents of your Bag of Tricks. 5 minute cooldown.

Make Camp: Make a camp at this location. Can only be used outdoors.

Return to Camp: Return to your camp. 1 hour cooldown.

Alpaca Saddlebags: Increases the size of your backpack by 8 slots.
Fire Resistance: Reduces Fire damage taken by 1%.
Nose For Trouble: When you first take damage from an enemy, reduce that damage by 5% of your maximum health.

Classes

Tank specialization player characters now take an additional 50% damage from enemy players (was 40%).

Leveling to 20

Get enchanting as a profession ASAP to disenchant gear as you no longer need it. Make sure to save the mats.

Save crafting mats as you find them. Cloth, herbs, leather, and cooking materials are all useful so if you have the room save it all!

If, while leveling, you hit the cap, buy Walnut Stock or Eternium Thread in order to stockpile gold.

Now that portal rooms are located in your faction's major city, make sure to leave your hearthstone set there.

Once you hit 15, the quickest way to level is dungeons. Wait to turn in any quests with loot rewards as the epic versions of those rewards can be BiS for some classes.

Pick up enchanting ASAP to disenchant any gear your no longer need. Make sure to save the crafting mats.

Pick up skinning and start collecting leather for leatherworking. Here are leveling guides for skinning and leatherworking.

Once you have enough materials to level leatherworking, drop enchanting for leatherworking and start crafting around 20 Medium Armor Kit.

When you feel like you have enough Medium Armor Kit, drop skinning and leatherworking for enchanting and herblism. Here are leveling guides for enchanting and herbalism.

Finish enchanting all of your gear and use Enchanting Vellum to stockpile some enchants in case you upgrade your gear at some point

After all of your gear is enchanted and you have stockpiled your enchants, drop enchanting for alchemy. Here is a leveling guide for alchemy.

The first method allows you to drop off a flight path mid-flight. To do this, you’ll need to join a battleground while flying over the place you want to drop down to. After the battleground is finished, force-quit the game by pressing Alt+F4. When you log back into your character you should be falling from where you initially joined the battleground.

The second method allows you to fly to a specific location in some expansion zones. Some expansion zones allow you to fly while you’re a ghost in order to get back to your body. First, you’ll need to join a battleground or dungeon queue and then die near where you want to travel to. Fly your ghost to the place you want to travel to and then accept your battleground or dungeon queue. When you leave, the game will resurrect you where your ghost was standing!

At this point in time, the answer is no. There was a pre-Legion launch event which used to drop boxes that contained the Fel-Forged Gear. Once Legion went live the invasions stopped and we haven't seen the boxes since. For those curious, Fel-Forged gear was found in: Small Legion Chest and Large Legion Chest.

For pure-F2P, you're limited to what you can collect. There are some rare things that will give you the transmog without equipping them (Gnomeregan boss drops and city rep cloaks for instance).
For linked-F2P and veterans, you'll have access to all level 60 items (vanilla items) and below. Just like a regular non-vet twink would.

Since patch 8.1.5, most portals have been removed and have now been replaced with a portal room located in Orgimmar and Stormwind. These portal rooms allow starter editions to teleport to The Exodar / Silvermoon City and the Caverns of Time.

The short answer is yes, it can be done. However, there are risks involved and requires GM intervention. If you would like to read more about it, Sin'dor made a great post about it in the link below.

I'm not able to craft the medium armor kits, they're locked and it says "Not available for Starter accounts"
The same goes for most enchants.

It lists (almost) all the achievements available to starter edition players with some suggestions and tips on how to get the hardest of them completed as easily as possible. Tremendous work, much obliged! Blizzard constantly adding/removing things, so you only acquire certain things at certain eras.

I recently came back after 5 years and spending the last months of learning what's new. Some things get easier, something even harder (or impossible).

Anybody can help to get Draenor with my F2P? Idk maybe there is a thread for this, but I'm not find.

I just want to make a post saying that I do intend to update this guide for Shadowlands but it does look like starter editions are going to get a TON of new content so depending on how much there is, it might take awhile to update. I do hope a lot of this information stays relevant but if it doesn't I'll try my best to fix it!

In order to party sync you have to be invited to a party by someone who is not F2P because F2Ps cannot throw invites, correct?

With Shadowland and level squish, f2p player have easily access to goblin glider kit (required engineering profession). Sumptuous Fur can be looted on any beast and True Iron Ore can be mined in the Garrison mine (so without the mining profession).
