This is a nice buff for dwarfs. From a warriors perspective I would have prefered axes since they feel much more "dwarfish". Since we got maces however, I will be happy for the dwarf rogues who can benefit from this.

Equates to 41 expertise rating at 80, bear that in mind when deciding whether to throw that sword on that seems better.

I think an axe is a more suitable dwarf weapon .. they could have give 3 to both like they did with humans

in WC3 the mountain king hero unit (think that's their name) used a hammer and an axe, and also dwarves are smiths n stuff so they wud use hammers a lot so they wud have a better understanding of how to weild one than say, an orc.

In typical Tolkein-esque fantasy, yeah, axes feel pretty dwarven. WoW likes to break these conventions, though, so forget what you think you know - axes were first used en masse by the orcs of the Old Horde during their draenei genocide! A dwarf would feel much more at home with a good ol' hammer in his mitts. Or ale.

Since all casters get their expertise converted to hit, this racial is now equally useful for everybody as long as you use the right weapon type.

classes can and will use One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces, Guns, Bows or Crossbows available for Dwarf:

Priest (One-Handed Maces)
Monk (One-Handed Maces)
Rogue (One-Handed Maces)
Shaman (One-Handed Maces)
Hunter (Guns, Bows, Crossbows)
Paladin (One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces)
Death Knight (One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces)
Warrior (One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces)

i.e., Mage and Warlock NOT benefit from Might of the Mountain or Crack Shot.
As of Patch 5.0.4, Expertise also increases Spell Hit by the same amount.

Might of the Mountain
Critical strike bonus damage and healing increased by 2%.

This Dwarf racial ability really shines compared to racial abilities like Worgen's Viciousness ability whenever >50% of your total damage done is coming from critical strikes (such as is the case of Frost mages), and for any spell in which a critical strike is 100% guaranteed (e.g. Chaos Bolt and Soul Fire)

For example: a Worgen destro-lock and a Dwarf Destro-lock will each benefit from their respective racial abilities.

- For worgen a base-100k Chaos Bolt will be increased to 101k and their Immolate/Incinerate/Conflagrate ability will produce embers slightly faster.
- For Dwarves Chaos Bolt damage will be increased to 102k...

However with talents like Grimoire of Sacrifice and this disparity will increase to the point that the Dwarf Racial pulls ahead of the Worgen racial significantly.

On the other hand... when Crit chance is more important than crit damage, such as is the case of Fire Mages, then Viciousness pulls ahead.
