Yes! More battle res!
Using this while in Marksman spec turns you into a self-repairing turret.
UPDATE: The latest Beta patch has adjusted many of the passive effects of these legendaries. The following represents the most current in-game data as of August 28/16 (many of the Wowhead tooltips have not been updated yet!)
This is one of the shared legendaries coming in Legion. Most of the new legendary drops will be class specific, while these select "shared" legendaries will be usable by multiple classes. Keep in mind that only legendaries your class can use will drop for you.
At the beginning of Legion, only 1 legendary item can be equipped at a time. Over time, as the expansion progresses this cap will be increased (
Here is some further information about these items:
The legendary items are intended to be used for the entire expansion. They are currently item level 895, and it remains to be seen whether this will change prior to release, or during Legion itself (for comparison, Mythic mode gear from
is iLvl 880).
Thus far, it appears that legendaries will drop from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, PvP Strongboxes, Mythic+ Weekly Caches and World Quest Caches (rewarded after completing 4 world quests).
As it stands, these will be the ONLY sources that will yield legendaries
. Blizzard may expand where they can come from in the future (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,

Legion Live Developer Q & A
While the legendaries are rare drops, they are not fully random - there will be ways to target specific items (
More difficult content will have a higher chance of dropping these items (
It should be nearly impossible to get a duplicate legendary item. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
Some level of bad luck streak protection also applies to legendary items (i.e. the chances of you getting a legendary will slowly increase if you don't have one drop). (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
If the slot for the item is transmoggable, you can transmog these legendaries to other appearances, and vice versa (unlike legendary items from previous expansions) (
Legion legendary procs/effects will be disabled in instanced PvP (
Blizzard plans to institute a "suppression aura" in effect for a certain number of weeks after Mythic raids are available, which would disable any legendary item passive effects (they would still function normally as high-ilvl regular items, with the primary/secondary stats intact).
- As per the latest information, Legion legendaries WILL BE allowed in all raid situations,
INCLUDING Mythic difficulty
. The previously noted "suppression aura" in Mythic will not be implemented. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
All legendary bonus effects are passive "Equip" effects (there are no "Use" effects on these items)
All Legion legendaries are Bind-on-Pickup, and
be sold, traded or listed on the Auction House.

Your instant cast spells have a chance to trigger
, making your next cast time spell castable while moving.
Your attacks cause an additional 50% damage as Physical to enemies above 90% health.
Standing still causes you to send deep roots into the ground, healing you for 4% of your maximum health every 3 sec.
Increases your movement speed by 75% of your Haste.
Successfully applying a loss of control effect to an enemy grants you 70% increased movement speed and 15% Haste for 10 sec. This effect may occur once every 30 sec.
After not taking damage for 5 sec, you gain an absorb shield for 25% of your maximum health for 30 sec. This effect may occur once every 30 sec.
I looted these on Live a few days ago. They seem to be bugged. They are supposed to start healing you as soon as you stand still, and stop healing you when you move. After playing for sometime, usually every 30 minutes but it's random, the buff stops happening. Even my log no longer shows that I am being healed. I have to re-equip them to get the buff to work again.
Wow, it's almost like you turn into some sort of druidic healing tree. Sure does fit hunter and shaman lore.
I mean come on blizzard, sure it might've been op on druid tanking (I know it's mail), but at this point you might as well crash shaman earth powers lore and druid earth powers lore into each other.
Buff you get from this:
this dropped for me on my enhance shammy in raidfinder (the eye boss)
I just got mine today awhile doing completing the emissary quest for the cache. Popped out of the the chest and I lost my mind.
First legendary for me.
so....just figured this out but these cause overflow in mythic + dungeons....which really sucks lol. :(
Having done some tests on this, at present the healing provided by the buff does translate into transferred healing for shaman for
, even if you yourself are at full health.
In 7.1.5 these just got a monster buff, healing 3%/sec or more than twice as much as before. I now self heal nearly 80k/sec just for standing still, and the buff procs immediately.
Just got this in a Suramar world quest cache. Funny thing is that I just got enough resources to unlock the equip a 2nd legendary slot and then I got this.
with this im feeling like dk. stay and make dps while you hp raise :D 7 murlocs couldnt me down to 96% :P i hope it works in bg
Got mine off of a Suramar rare. Then got the BiS ring for Enhance a couple weeks later. Doesn't do *!@# for DPS minus the Stat upgrades but it sure helps if your bad at raid mechs. Lol
Hannval the Butcher dropped this for me the other day!
just got mine right now... in 03.29.17 a few minutes away from 7.2 Release's system shut down... about 2:40 AM... :) .
my spec is Marksman and my version of the Leggings is at 940 ilvl... which is pretty awesome with marksman spec and a full Thas'dorah... heres the picture of the item with the ilvl i got :
. and this is my Battletag: Anya #21740 .
having upgraded my old leggings from ilvl 850 to 940 given me 5 ilvl increase at once which was pretty awesome.
Roots of Shaladrassil:
Now has an additional 658 Critical Strike (@ ilvl 940) as a third bonus secondary stat.
I just got these out of a
of all things. Had to scrape my jaw up off the floor.
This legendary serves quite a purpose now with 7.2, making Artifact Challenges granted by the Mage Tower much less difficult. Equip them for it if you have them, it absolutely changes everything.
Are these the healing pants?
A good item for a Hunter or Shaman to use to make their Druid friends jealous.
The healing pants, the healing pants, the healing pants
If you're a ranged damage class, you may be dismayed that you don't get a damage legendary but the
legendary Roots of Shaladrassil. You looked up the legendary rankings and see it ranks mid-tier at best.
You've come here to find out if your RNG was really awful. Let me explain why you should be glad and high-fiving yourself (you know... clapping) that you got these pants.
Consider that if you are a damage class you may not have much self-healing, but have some healing pants now. Okay. Not gonna top the damage meters. But no one says you have to equip these pants all the time, like when you have a good healer in your group. You can always swap gear out for the circumstances. But when you are soloing world bosses in Draenor like Rukhmar (for the mount) or Olokk the Shipbreaker (for a Broken Isles WQ) as a ranged class,
these are a gift of outstanding value atm and for the foreseeable future,
I can attest. With these pants, at 110, 860 or so plus, 98.75% OR MORE of world bosses in Azeroth are now soloable. You'll get a lot of mileage out of these for a good long time, maybe well into the next patches and when you've put your other legendaries away.
Don't be discouraged at the tooltip that says "Standing still causes you to send deep roots into the ground..." implying that this only procs when you are doing nothing.
It will still proc while you are turning and firing/casting.
It only stops proccing when you actually take a step.
And... BONUS... you don't have to sit and eat anymore unless you need a stat buff. Standing in one place is the equivalent of sitting and eating. It's like fighting and eating at the same time. Now how do you feel?
If the above circumstances apply to you, and you get these, trust me, your level of happiness should be pretty high. I mean, order yourself a pizza with all the toppings because... you deserve it.
"So don't grumble, give a whistle, and this'll help things turn out for the best." - Eric Idle
The survivability these provide to you is utterly insane. If your target is not doing more than 3% of your life in damage every second,
they cannot kill you.
If they are doing 5% of your life, again,
, AKA, something will take you from full health to dead in just 20 seconds, even without any healing, mitigating, distracting, whatever, they will take almost a minute instead. This may lead to hilarious situations like when I went for the achievements in heart of fear, got trapped in amber, and had to log out of the game because
you are immortal.
If you are a marksman hunter, congratulations, you may now go lone wolf without consequence for literally any occasion that you don't just want your pet keeping things distracted somewhere away from yourself. Maybe take black arrow if you feel like soloing some of the harder hitting broken shore rare elites.
The drop rate on the "dropped by" tab are for those with wowhead looter addon?
I got this one as a drop in the Wailing Halls from the Sisters of the Moon, and bonus, it dropped as level 1000 fro me :D
This is like having a pocket healer with you at all times. It feels great, the stuff you will be able to solo with it might surprise you. :)
Just got these off of Gul'dan doing a quick run to complete a quest. Imagine my surprise. Too bad they don't have much use now.
