Since 3.1.2 fishing poles are the very best Feral DPS weapons from 68 to 78. They lacks stats (completely), but the quest poles now have the Feral Attack Power of any other level 200 blue 2H weapon.

Feral Druid is the only class that benefits from Weapon DPS (which converts to Feral Attack Power) and yet do not use abilities that require particular types of weapons, so for everyone else, this is just a nice fishing pole.

The line is still invisible as of today (12 June, 2009). I don't really see this as a major problem though. This is a rod for casual fishing, such as going for the achievement. Not to be used for pool fishing.

I'm sure people that grinded the rep for it deserve something better than a pole that you can get from just doing a daily a day.

two things. one: Kalu'ak rep is super easy to grind. you get revered without even doing any dailies, or maybe just one or two. two: the Kalu'ak pole *is* better. water breathing is better than shadow resistance.

If you look closely at the bone fishing pole, its a forearm holding a skull. I just got this after completing the monsterbelly daily where I needed to return a severed arm. Interestingly enough, I recieved the jeweled fishing rod after doing the sewer daily where I needed to return corroded jewelry. Is this just a cooincidence or has anyone else noticed this?

It seems like the sell price was recently nerfed. While it's listed ~18g here, in reality, it currently vendors for about 9c on live servers.

Wow, I just got this pole in the reward bag from my very first fishing daily (Blood is Thicker). Needless to say, I was shocked. Fresh lvl-70 feral druid. Trying to get my fishing to 300 now so I can try it in combat.

EDIT: Having used this for a while now (at Lvl-71 currently), I can confirm that it gives an amazing DPS boost for feral druids. It's so good that I always use it when fighting in cat form, and often switch to it in bear form if I need to take down an opponent quickly.

So, it seems that with the 3.3 advent of the Kalu'kak fishing tourney, the consolation prize for bringing the shark in not first is a Bag of Fishing Treasures. That means that, because it doesn't require any sort of level to participate, that some fortunate little 19 twink out there might get lucky and get a bag with a Bone Fishing Pole (which also conveniently doesn't require any level) and terrorize the battlegrounds with amazing white hits. Just food for thought.

EDIT: Or 29 or 39, when druids get cat form and 1600 attack power from this... oh boy, fun times.

Finally got this drop yesterday. I have completed the daily 110 times to get it. In that 110 times I have also had drop 2 epic gems, 1 porcelain bell but typically I would get deviate fish, worthless glass and elixir of water walking. Keep trying.

This pole gives the same fishing skill as the 大師製卡魯耶克釣魚竿
So performing the Orgrimmar/Stormwind fish dailies give a great opportunity for an item just as good.
But it now seems to now cheapen all that grinding for Kaluak rep I did in wraith.
At least the 大師製卡魯耶克釣魚竿 pole gives underwater breathing and it still looks cooler in my opinion :)

This item does NOT require level 70. My level 64 hunter found one today from the Orgrimmar daily fishing quest and threw his one-hand weapons away. The only requirement on the item description is Fishing 300.

As of 4.0.6 this does not require any level. All you need to have is the fishing skill.
Perfect for 19 twinks, though it will get nerfed in some patches, so have fun while you can!

Edit: Nerfed. Damage reduced to 33-50.

I wish that you hadn't throw away your lvl64 hunter's one-hand weapon as you must had figured with a shock that this fishing pool got nerfed in a hot fix ..
Of coarse how could you knew that at that moment, with a joy of founding a better weapon/fishing pool, that in a few day it will get nerfed ..

I hope that this hadn't cost you much gold or a GM ticket wait time and an item refund (which has a limited count per character).

As before getting nerfed 骨製釣魚竿 had nearly the same stats that 大師製卡魯耶克釣魚竿 had. So it was, indeed, a good weapon replacement for a level 64.
Now, after being nerfed, it is only a good fishing pole for lucky low level players as all level 10 players can do the Stormwind or Orgrimmar fishing dailies.

Just got this today out of the bag from the Stormwind fishing daily. So now I have both fishing poles from the dailies. I'm going to continue using my 珠寶裝飾釣魚竿 but since the Bone Fishing Pole is so rare I'm keeping it in my tackle box in my bank, just in case I ever feel like a change. I love fishing and these poles make it a little more fun. I do hope Blizzard adds more special poles in the future :)

Got this the same day I got the Jeweled Fishing Pole.. and of course I had already started to farm for Kalu'ak rep for their pole.. sigh...

Anyway;
Does this summon the Strand Crawler for anyone else? Maybe it's a bug, but every time I equip my bone fishing pole, it summons this pet. Doesn't matter if I have a pet summoned already or not.

Haven't macro'd the pole or the companion to anything, does anyone else get this?

Got one today when i opened my 一袋亮晶晶的東西 while doing the fishing daily in SW.

The dailies make fishing a smidgin less bloody irritating to level. I also got my 抗惡劣天候釣魚帽 from the daily :)

Some fishing poles in game since patch 1.11.1 with some helpful tips:

■ 魚竿 can buy from any trader and is a reward from 非常美味的紅鯛魚! (Alliance only), generally its used for increase fishing skill on beginning.

■ 強化釣魚竿 can buy from specific vendors in world, them can sell only one item.

■ 史塔特的釣魚桿 reward from 石斑滋味 in Darkshore (Alliance only).

■ 暗木魚竿 fishing low drop in some low level areas.

■ 粗鐵魚竿 low drop from .

■ 納特‧帕格的極限釣魚竿FC-5000型 reward from 鉗嘴龜，小子! (Alliance side) and 鉗嘴龜! (Horde side).

■ 骨製釣魚竿 low drop from 一袋亮晶晶的東西, same work with 珠寶裝飾釣魚竿.

■ 蛟龍釣魚竿 you can get it if you are revered with 釣手隊, require the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

Some itens removed or in database of game but you cant ever got:
■ this item appear in database of Lich King expansion, probably in patch 3.2 or 3.3, cannot be obtained in live realms.

I got this lovely fishing pole from the Dal fishing daily during wrath in a 釣魚藏寶袋. However come Cata expansion I log on and my fishing pole is gone. I'd hate to think I vendored it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm pretty sure I didn't sell it to the vendor. :(

骨製釣魚竿 is obtained from opening either 一袋亮晶晶的東西 or 釣魚藏寶袋, which is obtained as a Quest reward when finishing any of the Fishing Daily quests in the Capital cities and Outland.

It has a very low drop chance, so it will take quite a few repeated tries until you can get it. If you do get it on the First try then you are very Lucky.

骨製釣魚竿 is not the best fishing pole in the world, but it does have a very good Look to it, especially when paired up with the Death Knight class. It has a rather deadly appearance, with a skull at the base and blue in color, surrounded by a misty aura. Perfect fitting for the Frost Death Knights, almost like a piece of the Lich himself.

The stats on the 骨製釣魚竿 is of no importance, except for the fact that it gives +30 Fishing skill when equipped, which as everyone knows is a nice boost to have when starting out in the Fishing Side-Profession.

Other available Poles:

- 魚竿 - Purchased From General goods vendors amongst others.
- 熊貓人釣魚竿 - Purchased from Nat Pagle in Krasarang Wilds, at Anglers Warf. Requires you to be Honored with The Anglers.
- 史塔特的釣魚桿 - Quest reward from 石斑滋味 in Darkshore.
- 強化釣魚竿 - Purchased from Fishing Trainers or Fishing Supplies Vendors in Limited Supply.
- 珠寶裝飾釣魚竿 - This item is also dropped from the fishing Daily rewards 一袋亮晶晶的東西 and 釣魚藏寶袋 at low % rates.
- 納特的幸運釣魚竿 - Quest reward from 釣魚專家納特‧帕格.
- 奧金釣魚竿 - Quest reward from 頭等大獎.
- 蛟龍釣魚竿 - Can be Purchased from Nat Pagle in Krasarang wilds, at Anglers Warf. Must be Revered with the Anglers.
- 暗木魚竿 - Rare world drop from fishing.
- 粗鐵魚竿 - Contained within at low drop rates.
- 納特‧帕格的極限釣魚竿FC-5000型 - Quest Reward. Alliance 鉗嘴龜，小子!. Horde 鉗嘴龜!.

This actually happened yesterday but the post did not post for some reason.

A word of warning, I know that before this item was not able to be disenchanted, I tried on an alt and the game said so. I use the addon Trade Skill Master and was using the destroyer to DE a bunch of items, I've done it many times before including yesterday and it did not DE them. Today it did. Be careful.

I cannot help but notice that Undead have 暗影抗性 as a Racial ability.
This pole grants Shadow Resistance, but only a bit.
It's also made of bone.
