If you miss the target, there's a gnome fishing on the shore that will port you back to the cannon for 30 silver.

Unlike some of the other games, this one is easy. After you pay your Darkmoon Game Token to Maxima Blastenheimer and are loaded into the cannon, just angle your camera straight down.

A few seconds after blast-off, just as you pass over the end of the dock over-looking the water hit the 1 button to cancel your magic wings and you should plunge directly into the target ring, earning you all five points and getting you the Blastenheimer Bullseye achievement.

You will need a Darkmoon Game Token to play any Darkmoon Games.

You can earn a token by turning in a quest, or you can simply buy 20 tokens for 1g 92s at level 85 (1g80s if you're exalted from before or if you're a goblin) by buying the Sack'O Tokens !
The price of the sack depends on your level (57s 60c to a player level 67 for example)!

These tokens are used to play the following games :

- It's Hammer Time
- The Humanoid Cannonball (obtainable achievement : Blastenheimer Bullseye)
- He Shoot, He Scores! (obtainable achievement : Quick Shot)
- Tonk Commander
- Target: Turtle

I wrote this to help myself, but I realize it may help others as well so here we go:

Setup the mini "addon" by pasting these two lines of code (one after the other, as it's too big for one macro) in the chat:

In any case I hope it helps! If it's off by a little after a couple of tries you can tweak 2.35 to something lower or higher, depending on latency.

The trick is to cancel the wings when you are right about the edge of the dock (if you looking straight down on your character). Two shots was all it took.

OK. so my problem is. I get in cannon. I press nothing no button. Cannon Shoots. I fly out. then stop and glide down only up to the sandbox only a 20 yards or so away. So whats happening. I keep going in. i press direction buttons and still the same problem. Whats happening with me? My Latency is 740 ms home and 717 ms world. so IDK

Any button press will cancel the buff. Also, sometimes it malfunctions (in a programming intended way) and shoots you straight up with no wings, high enough to damage you 90% of your health through fall damage.

Unlike most dailies, the dailys for the booth games give absolutely no experience. Which is why you get no gold from completing them.

You can't level up your lowbies by doing these dailys.

EDIT: Now in 5.0.4, although they still give no experience, they count as level appropriate quests for 60,000 guild exp each time you complete them.

Is anyone else having an issue with landing in WAY different spots than you thought? I usually hit the 1 button just as I get TO the dock (not at the end as is mentioned above), but where I land seems completely random. I've done it 3 times so far tonight and it's no different. The first time I landed almost dead center in the ring and got 3 points. The 2nd time I landed WAY short of the ring and got 0 points. The third time I tried waiting till I got to the end of the dock and I WAY overshot the ring. I don't think it's a latency issue with me cause my lag is only about 130ms (total). Any ideas?
Edit: I just did it a 4th time and I hit the button just as I got TO the dock (as I did on my first two attempts) but this time I OVERshot the ring.. so ya, I am going to go with the idea of "where you land is completely random"

A few tips. First, landing inside the circle of the target won't necessarily get you the full 5 points. Its how close you are to the computer's interpretation of where the exact center is. After that, the closer you are to that, the more points you get.

I just got the full 5 points on 1 try. Here's how:

When you're in the cannon, hold down BOTH mouse buttons, and aim toward the billboard size banners. Keep your other hand hovering over the "1" key. As soon as you get to the water's edge of the boardwalk (between the 2 posts holding it up), release both mouse buttons simultaneously, and hit the "1" key.

This may take some practice, but it'll get you the perfect bullseye, and the 5 points in 1 shot.

Here`s another trick to land in the circle. It works perfect for me. Make sure you got your sound on and listen carefully to the counting. You can just close your eyes and listen. Five, four, three ,two, one, add a second in the speed with she counts on and just press the 1 button. So you press on zero.

Make sure that you don't have Slow Fall or any other similar effects active when you get blasted out of the cannon or "you may find yourself... in another part of the world."

Ok.Here is a way to get the achievement Blastenheimer Bullseye. I first did it by mistake, then I retried and retried, and got it the same way. Not always the first time, but most of the times one shot is enough.And other than achievement you can do it to complete your daily quest quick and not having to ride back or to pay the most expensive cost/distance teleport.
So, all you have to do is land in the water. Closer to the bullseye is better but not critical. The trick is, as soon as you hit the water,start jumping towards the centre of the the target.You know...like a spastic kid trying to avoid drowning. Just jump and move. Once in the centre, keep jumping around if you didn't got it,as sometimes it takes few seconds to "hit" the right spot.
If you get deep under water from falling, and it takes time to get to surface chances are pretty high that it won't work. But if you are near the surface just jump and move.
To summarize, and of course what other people mentioned, Don't be under the effect of Slow Fall, Path of Frost,Levitate, Water Walking orElixir of Water Walking.
Sorry if someone else wrote this down, I couldn't see it through the comments.

I have tried the suggestions here and I am guessing the quest may be bugged a bit. First try, I landed nearly dead center of the ring. Not only did I not get any achievement, I also got no points. Second try, I missed the center, but still landed in the circle - still no points. Third try was similar to the second. So, three tries, three circle landings and zero points. Latency is low and game (for a change) is running smoothly. Am I perhaps doing something wrong still?

May try this one a few more times and move on to something else...

I found that the distance between the moment you release and the point of landing is also dependant on your character's race size. I switched from Night Elf to Gnome (Burgy's hat) and I found I need to release earlier to land in the circle than if I were to use the gnome costume.

One Ticket Tactics - Watch the Dock

All of the Darkmoon Faire daily games can be completed on a single ticket. Different games require more skill or luck to achieve this one ticket goal.

In "The Humanoid Cannonball", the key techniques are:

Pan the camera angle to look as straight down the cannon barrel as possible.
Use the edge of the dock as the criteria to hit the "1" key to drop. Faster toons need to hit the drop key before the edge of the dock, slower toons may need to hit slightly after. By slightly I'm talking 1/4" or less
Once you figure out the timing, this technique should give you either a 3 pt "Great Shot" or 5 pt Blastenheimer Bullseye
If at first you don't succeed,the green robed Teleportologist Fozlebub fishing at the nearby shore will teleport you back to the cannon for a nominal fee (fee depends on your level)
You can't influence your flight path left or right. The only control you have is when to drop from your wings

If you have bad latency issues with your server, this game is nearly impossible to complete. Hitting a bullseye is rare, but you should be able to complete the game with two Great Shots most of the time.

You can go to Teleportologist Fozlebub, the Gnome mage fishing near the target, and he will teleport you back to the cannon. You do not need any buff for that!

As of 5.0.4, it appears that a little bit of random 'drift' has been added to make this game a little more challenging. I was releasing my wings when I hit the edge of the dock, and it still took me about six tries to get all five points. Twice I dropped over the far edge of the ring, and once I hit the water before even entering the ring. I finally was able to fumble into a 3 point hit, and 2 1 point hits.

The addon Deadly Mod Boss is a very nice help. When the spoken countdown reaches '1', press the button to cancel the magic wings. With no lag, this moment corresponds to the point previously said

For those that use DBM and the buff timer comes up, with low latency (mine sits around 80-100ms) hit the drop just as the timer reaches 1.0 for bullseye (The addon timer, not the audible count or the actual buff)

This might just upset the apple cart but I have 9 toons that are at least revered (and some exalted) with the Darkmoon Faire. What I have found after countless tries is that the award of Blastenheimer Bullseye is anything but precise. I have been awarded it when I was clearly not in the bullseye and have also not been awarded it when I was exactly in the middle. I've been shot out of the cannon without wings (not often but on occasion). This is pretty much just like a real carnival, the games seem to be just a little rigged.

Anyone else been shot into the tree? I run the dailies on four toons so I can get the mounts and battle pets. So I have played these games a lot, but 2 times recently I was fired out of the cannon with no wings. It flys you off target to the left into a large tree. Once I bounced off and nearly died and the 2nd time I landed in the tree. I LMAO both times, but sucked that I had to go back and burn another ticket.

So, apperantly you CAN get hit by one of the random Darkmoon fireworks flying up above darkmoon faire sometimes. My poor alt was flying in peace towards the water, then got hit by a firework, got launched up high, and fell to its death. First time I've ever had this happen... Incredible lucky or unlucky?

A couple macroes for making it easy to both toggle it and to warp back using the gnome

Use this one to quickly activate the cannon

Use this one with the gnome to quickly select warp and then yes on the annoying dialog box.

These work with other DMF stuff too to quickly jump into the dailies

For best results bind two keys to them - near your interact with mouseover/target key.

Also there is an addon on WoWInterface called DarkmoonFaireCannon that will automatically cancel the wings buff and sometimes get you 5/5 in one go or at least 3/5 depending on lag, other addons interfering etc. No config needed, it activates when you get the wings buff and calculates the time to cancel the buff.

There seem to be a few issues with latency in this Darkmoon game. Either a) you don't drop when you press the wing release and go over the ring, or b) you drop early and hit the ground somewhere between the cannon and the dock.

Hopefully this helps other faire goers that might be having this problem.

If this is not the laggiest quest in the game...This will test your connection, their connection, and your graphics card to the fullest. Even at 32ms 96 fps, if you tap the 1 key, you can still get no response from the game. Hitting 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 right when you need to hit the center will help any server issues.

Should you wish to know how your PC is running World of WarCraft, open a browser in the background, while mods are running, peek server time, with 2 people jumping in the cannon right in front of you, then switch back to the game. This can add up to 2 second delay time on the splashdown. Plan your clicks ahead by rotating the camera view and checking for screen tearing before clicking.

Avoid paying Teleportologist Fozlebub for a trip back if you are multi-tasking. WoD, Blizzard wants to move to a 64-bit only game, and those with 32-bit will see this quest get worse.

Tip: Always launch with your fishing pole to fish up Shipwreck Debris. Big bucks, and motes of Harmony from Sealed Crate every time you fail (if you won't close your browser, and put away your mods).

Update:
If you accept, then, while waiting for your launch switch windows, and switch back before you get to the water you can lose the interface, wings, and fall to the ground and nearly die. Buggiest code ever. Should be an award for this. It's highly suspected the loss of the interface related to CRZ bugs that are too many to count on top of a buggy quest (Cross Realm Zoning). Because it's been so bad for so long, and they are not even talking about it, it makes you wonder how long the servers will stay up. One year wait on a patch in the Barrens during Cataclysm. Darkmoon Fair, this bug, freak'n years old. Years. And.../crickets /echo /nothing /nope /next year I guess...

For those of the cheating variety you can use the Engineering Glider kit right after you cancel the buff to slow yourself down if you're bad at aiming and or timing.

Small tip: as a druid, don't use the cannon while in travel form. The results can be described as wonky at best. Things that have happend to me:

- Paid for the cannon, sat in it, and then just dropped out of it a few seconds later
- Paid for the cannon, sat in it, and...well, kept sitting in it until I logged out
- Paid for the cannon, got shot out, but without the wings, so I slammed into a tent halfway across the fair

As of 7.3 midair interactions have been changed (slow fall, levitate, parachutes etc), and so was the bullseye in this quest.
Now we need to start falling above the purple-white tent, or in the left bottom corner of Gargantua (gorilla) cage.

i used to be able to hit the "1" key on my keyboard when it was on 1 (or even a little after) in the countdown and it would always be at least 3 points when landing in the ring

now i have to hit it when right when it says "2" in the countdown.

maybe it's lag? maybe not.

HOW TO: WARLOCKS ONLY!

I know that it sounds complicated, but that always works for me.
You will need something allowing you to walk on water: any kind of water walking elixir, Shaman/DK buff(aura) or even artifact fishing pole. Also you will need
1) Apply water walking
2) Stay on water in center of target and create Demonic Circle.
3) Go to cannon and launch yourself
4) When flying near target - drop off wings and use Goblin Glider Kit
5) Use Demonic Circle to teleport (as fast as possible)
6) Earn 5/5! :D

DBM timer users, time your drops now immediately after 2 is announced. Not simultaneously with the announcement but immediately after. The timing must be precise to nail the bullseye.

Time your drop like so:

4 tick, tick... 3 tick, tick... 2 ti.. DROP.

Again, not simultaneously with the 2 announce but immediately after. You'll land the bulls eye every time without fail.

If there are any druids wondering why you are falling straight through the cannon onto the ground instead of being blasted, try going out of shapeshift. This only seems to happen to me while I am shapeshifted. Highly annoying.

I end up coming down and landing in the big trees.

In patch 8.0.1 the button to start descending seems to be working differently, it just removes the wings and let you keep a parabolic trajectory, instead of making you start a sudden diagonal fall. As of now, instead of using the start of the ocean as a reference, you need to press the button around the middle of the stables (camera pointing down for better aiming).

It took me some tries to get it right, I hope this helps someone currently also farming rep with them lol

DHs, you can Fel Rush/Glide into the bullseye as soon as you turn the wings off. Take your time getting those bullseyes! Also, glider kits.

First off, to use this, make a macro, name it, paste the code below into it, hit save and drag it to a button.
Secondly, walk up to Maxima Blastenheimer, right click her and once the dialog window opens, Then click the macro which will do the rest. It accepts the quest and shoves you into the cannon.

Also, to be clear, the First number in this macro may change just a hair based on your Ping.
The deal is, adding a bit like 11.36 will make you go further. Dropping it to 11.30 results in a shorter ride.
For me, 11.30 was the magic number with a ping of 48/53 - Hover your mouse over the ? button aka The Game Menu and you'll see your Home and World ping.

To get a Bullseye!, you need to hit Cancel Magic Wings at precise moment when Magic Wings duration timer is at 1.8 seconds, this can vary though depending on your ping (at 30 ping, this is perfect for me). After a few tries, you should be able to get a hang on how this works.

You can track Magic Wings duration decimal values with addons like Deadly Boss Mods or WeakAuras 2.

Warriors can heroic leap immediately before landing down, just right click on the wing's icon and before you fall down, just heroic leap into the circle's middle and you get a bullseye.

I keep having the problem when I get launched and no wing buff appears and it just slams me in to a tree, seems to be about a 50/50 chance that I'll get the wing buff and safely be able to play the mini game or I waste a token and get chunked to about half health, I've made sure no levitate or weird buffs are on me, made sure hand is off the mouse and keyboard and it doesn't seem to make a difference, the mini game is just bugged

This game is entirely RNG based. I've used up 15 tokens and I hit the key at EXACTLY the same point every time, it was 50/50 landing either just before or just after the circle. Not once did I hit the actual circle.

For completing this quest. If you're really having a hard time and you're a Warrior release a bit early and you can leap mid-air into the center while falling. Another way is if you have a Priest in your group and they are already in the center they can pull people mid-air and it counts too.

I struck the 5-point bullseye - and earned the achievement - when I let go just as I was over the walking corridor between the Elekk and Gorilla pens. This, I think, is all about latency. Mine is 45 and 46ms.

If you're like me and wondering why you're overshooting the target so far that you get fatigue, see if you have Emergency Anti-Gravity Device equipped somewhere. That will absolutely interfere with the slowfall effect and should be de-equipped for this minigame.

I haven't played Darkmoon Faire games for at least 5 yrs, but I remember getting points when you get close to the bullseye. Apparently that's no longer true as I've landed just outside the ring & have gotten no points. I guess a direct bullseye is the only one that nets you points (lag is making getting that problematic).

Overall, these games seem much harder (& more annoying) than I remember. Either I've gotten much crabbier (very possible) or these games have been made harder (& buggier) than before. I'm determined to finish them this time around, but I doubt I'll bother with other toons.

Edit: I did finally get points, but you have to be IN the circle now. I didn't make a perfect bullseye but after many tokens & some time in a tree, I got it.

If you're having trouble due to fly far away into the distance despite you released your wings, it's because of your Faerie Dust buff spell your soulbind Dreamweaver gives you.
Possible solutions:
Switch specialization which you use other soulbind character than Dreamweaver.Go out to and switch soulbind at the rested place.CTRL+C this macro , and CTRL+V it to your chat box and while you're flying.

For those wondering why their macro isn't working in the Darkmoon Faire as of the Dragonflight pre-patch, for some reason they changed the syntax for the gossip option again.

This macro works as of now, though this may get fixed:
/run SelectGossipOption(2) C_Timer.After(11.35, function() for i = 1, 40 do local name = UnitBuff("player", i) if name == 'Magic Wings' then CancelUnitBuff("player", i) end end end)

As with the other macros, adjust the timer (e.g. 11.55 instead of 11.35) if you find yourself not quite hitting the mark. This is for EU server, 25ms.

Was giving a Dracthyr Evoker a test drive yesterday and was totally able to cheese this with the Dracthyr glide ability: release early, glide, land in the bullseye.

New macro as of 10.0.7. As with the other macros, you will need to have the dialogue box open with Maxima Blastenheimer before activating the macro. You can adjust the time by changing the 11.30 value if necessary. Good luck!

On multiple occasions, this gnome has launched me from the cannon without a parachute, nearly killing me in the process. As I usually play a goblin, I can only attribute this "oversight" to racism. Also, don't think I haven't noticed her muttering ethnic slurs when I hand her my game token. Bigot.

I clicked "1" over the gorilla by the docks. Was just about to fail the quest when I used druid travel form wild charge for the last few yards and I got the quest done

For The War Within (Path 11.0.2+) here's the fixed up macro. You can adjust the time by changing the 11.27 value if necessary. Good luck!:

Fun note: If you're a demon hunter or a dracthyr, you can just glide straight in the middle and get a bullseye.

Description

For just one Darkmoon Game Token, you can ride the Blastenheimer 5000 Ultra Cannon. But the fun doesn't end there! We've placed a target in the water near the boardwalk.

If you can score five points from your landing, you can win some prize tickets!

A bullseye gets you five points, a close shot three, and landing at least near it gets you one.
