500 Mounts Achievement Reward to be Changed in Future Alpha Build

Posted 2022/07/14 at 8:19 PM by Anshlun

Yep, we agree. The yeti will be changed to a different mount (not a yeti) in a future alpha build, though not necessarily the next one. Feedback like this is always useful, and please take this as a reminder that things you see in alpha builds are subject to change.

Hilarious they even thought that it was an appropriate reward in the first place.

Oh thank god. I was so disappointed with the achieve mount. Like I really spent years collecting that many mounts for a YETI?
Really happy with how the devs seem to have been listening to the community lately!

Now add a 450 mount. It's awkward to skip that. Makes a little sense to start skipping after 500, like to 600, but I still think every reward should be 50 mounts since the average player sees every level like every two patches.

Stormcrow pls!

Comment by Aesiria

It should be a giant pure white duck with bright red shoes! And it should make "Clomp, clomp, clomp" sounds when it runs.

Comment by Tinkershell

Will we see an achievement for 450 mounts too?

Comment by Palmex

Asmongold said = blizz devs will change it, this is how it works :D meanwhile other player wait whole patch for class balance/changes that will not come anyway.

Maybe we could send Asmongold a wish list so changes can come true!

I mean fine - but maybe if they didn't only add new mount achievements once every few expansions people wouldn't mind a few of them being mediocre.

They're skipping 450 and they could easily go higher than 500. My biggest gripe with these achievements is they usually finally get around to adding the X00 mount achievment when having that many has long since ceased to be any form of achievement for mount collectors, which you'd hope these were aimed at.
Anyone just picking mounts up casually will get it over time as expansions catch them up - but it would be nice if they actually made something for collectors to push towards instead of this weird "playing it safe" lowballing.
