Turalyon as the "high king" is the most obvious upcoming villain batting I've ever seen. So ridiculous. All of this just because they don't want Wrathion & Anduin in the same room.
Logical Worldbuilding? In *my* Wow?I like it.
This story telling looks good, reminding the infiltration of Onyxia, good to know they are being loyal to the core lore
Turalyon best king.love him.
Stormwind guards are BASED
I'm... not sure how comfortable I am with this. Like, I get the lore logic behind it, but the sheer viciousness of the racism and the knowledge that nothing will ever come of it (in terms of anyone admitting 'oh hey, we were wrong, sorry about that') just leaves me pretty cold.ETA: Let me rephrase and reiterate: I'm not sure how comfortable I am with this knowing it won't go anywhere. Maybe I'll be surprised and there will be some actual storytelling involved, but if this is a repeat of the DK start as it appears, you'll have five minutes of ugly comments on your walk to Stormwind Keep and then everything is fine as soon as you hit that Quest Complete button. I don't consider that good storytelling.
as a former horde player...it seems to me that the alliance has become the coolest faction (and I like it). After Onyxia, Nefarian, Deathwing, Malygos and some other bad examples, its only natural their reaction. The alliance became cautious after suffering so many attacks and betrayals.
Ever since Argus, you could tell the direction Turalyon character was heading. Definite heel turn soon. Too predictable.
It seems like the humans of Stormwind like to think that one bad apple sours the entire orchard and the very soil that was used for it. The way they're talking, it feels like they want open hostility...Be careful what you wish for...
I actually Really like this. Great worldbuilding and continuity to stormwind having to deal more with black dragons than the horde. Never forget deathwing landed on the city
It's good world-building, for sure. And obvious that they're setting up Turalyon as a future baddie a-la Garrosh, which is fine.I just can't believe Turalyon got to take over the entire Alliance. He more-or-less just got back 3-4 years ago. He's human -- a relatively young race. Meanwhile you've got Tyrande and Velen who are a mega-marillion years old -- and they've been contributing to the Alliance cause for years. It's hard to believe one of them wouldn't step up and object. (This is also a beef of mine, even with Anduin taking over the mantle of Alliance leadership years ago.)
I thought Anduin was returning to Stormwind? The epilogue video of him meeting with Sylvanas in the Maw suggested he wasn’t staying there to help her after all, but returning home. Not a fan of how racist they’re being tho. Did they learn nothing from how they treated the Orcs? Just going to lead to bigger problems. Yes they had good reasons for both instances but you’d think they’d at least know that the aspects aren’t going to cut their throats in their sleep. They also really need to stop making the leader of Stormwind the defacto leader of the Alliance. Each nation of the Alliance is there by choice and it’s an *alliance*. They’re all independent nations that work together in military and trade matters.
