neat
Wow are they actually making him the moral-ish hunter he was in lore? And not killing everything he sees.
Always wanted to take Hemet's gun away, and throw him in a pit with a bunch of tigers or something.
Fantastic Character development in MY WoW?... I like it!- Jokes aside, I always loved the Nessingwary quests myself, and I would always take them in every expansion, I was sad when he wasn't in SL, but now that he's back it makes me happy. Yes, he is retired, but thinking about it, he has been hunting for so long and has made his mark throughout the lore. So his retirement is well deserved. For then to see him use his retirement plan, to preserve a balance in the wildlife, also says a lot. Now that it isn't for sport no longer, it is to protect wildlife for the future. It is also just a great acknowledgment that he is getting old, and setting the hunt aside, and a good way for Blizzard to show they haven't forgotten him or just put him on the sidelines, with so many other NPCs that had so much potential.
Recreational hunting isn't wrong at all, it's not hunting to survive but not killing for fun either. There are many roles that part-time hunters do in the modern world to uphold the balance we have long disturbed. That said, Hemet's quests were mostly about the killing for fun part sadly, even though i remember them fondly. When it's ACTUAL hunting quests it's usually from druids, ironically.
woah he feels guilty about all the animals he killed? if only there was an expansion about going to the afterlife. he could have confronted the ghosts of everything hes killed.... nah better skip that and make him do crap in a dragon expansion LOL
Feels nice to not have to 'kill xx of something' again :)
best character in the game hands down
I looked at the screenshot above (trees, snow and sky color + fog) and suddenly I felt nostalgic. The landscape reminds me a lot of my beloved Winterspring.<RETIRED> lmao xD
I really hate this guy and his missions. Why we can't throw him to the Maw?
They should consider to bring back Addie Fizzlebog as well.
Not a huge deal, but personally I'm sad that they're retiring him. Seems like a shame to me.
How did he get there before us though. Weren't the Dragon Isles shrouded from Azeroth before DF?
"FOUND!" such a secret! hahaha
This is really sweet :)That being said, some of you guys are being weird about quests involving infinitely respawning Beasts
This randiant-style quest system is excellent. Roaming NPCs giving quests based on the location they're in is such a great idea since it encourages exploration, a thing that's been very, very, VERY absent in recent years. Leave it to Hemet Nessingwary to be the one to do things right.
