Click on the crates in front of the alchemy lab to receive the
from the work orders on your garrison. I received 5 of them. Also got one
Why this only benefits Elixir Master & are totally uselees for potion & transmutation masters? Or does Elixir Master not working with WoD flasks/elixirs?
I can't help but think these should have been soulbound... My auction house is already flooded with them and it feels like the work orders for the Alchemy Lab are worthless at the moment. Even the Alchemist daily cooldown at lvl 100 which creates 10 of them is questionable. At the cost of 2
, the mat cost on my realm is around the 15g mark, yet the Alchemical Catalyst itself is selling for around 10-11g.
I'm considering scrapping my Alchemy Lab and just buying Alchemical Catalyst off the AH. Shame, can't help but feel Alchemists are hard done by when it comes to their special WoD resource. If there was concern about the volume of them needed for mass-producing flasks, then maybe remove the 'soulbound' attribute in a future patch, but not straight off the bat, imho.
As of this moment, Alchemical Catalysts appear to be soulbound. Since the Alchemical Catalyst is the product of the Alchemy Building work order, this is bad news for anyone without the Alchemy profession. The Catalysts are only used for Greater Flasks and the WoD level Philosopher's Stone.
This will make the Greater Flasks more valuable both on the AH as well as in Guilds. Alchemists will be in greater demand once Raids open.
In WOD, the Alchemy profession should definitely be avoided in its current state. This Catalyst item is not even worth building the profession building. It only lets you create bigger flasks which are sold for no money on the AH. Not even a craftable/upgradable item is present for Alchemy. The Alchemy trinket should be upgraded just like the other crafting gear
So I assume there are no chemists/chemical engineers here who question the fact catalysts gets
in the recipes (reactions)? Catalysts speed up reactions without being used up, scientifically speaking.
Though it could be like petroleum, where catalysts get dirty or clogged with byproducts and require cleaning, but they're still not consumed.
Looks like they just rebranded it as uncommon quality (green text) down from rare (blue). Presumably because it's easy to get tons of them.
am i wrong or now this is no more bop?
, it will be used to transmute
. Now it's worth building alchemist in our garrisons.
So can someone please elaborate on if these have any use at all to non-alchemists, aside from selling on the AH to alchemists? If there is one thing I love about WoW is that most things are not at all intuitive and have to be looked up, then you can read a freaking novel and still have absolutely no idea.
In all of these posts NO ONE has mentioned what we do with these. Can anyone tell me?
I use them to make philosepher stones and sell them for 23g a pop at any vendor for quick cash :D .. or savage blood as formentioned .. and all the other goodies on the top shelf in the '' Reagant for section'' the top 4 blues sell for over 10k plus at auction on my server '' kael thas ''.. i've seen the elemental one go for 30k .. but that is just awful lol
As the Savage Blood price continues to drop, the best gold use for these is making Draenic Philosopher's Stone which vendors for just over 25g.
However, they are also used for Transmutes, so you can use them to transmute all your other Sorcerous into Sorcerous Earth (for Hexweave Bags on your Tailor etc.).
This will make your life easier! Try it out.
PS: You have to put these spells on your action bar to make it work.

End of expansion means you no longer need them, so you can start crafting the
, vendor them and get quite a lot of gold (21g2262c vendor price at the moment of posting).
Not fair to be the only non BoP crafting reagent among the other professions.
For players stepping into the Garrison in SL: Catalysts were never bound and not really used to create permanent items. If you get a Garrison running on an alchemist, consider your options to make a profit with these.
might well be your best, if not only, bet, as a leveling trinket it's strong and an occasional lifesaver. Requires
Catalysts total and 45
, but after the
nerf these trinkets are the only crafts Bloods are used for so it can profit pretty well.
The alternatives probably
shares the daily transmute cooldown and is by far not the cooldown to use nowadays, especially considering what I stated above.
only really works if one Sorcerous is going for way more than the other, which is unlikely.
Greater Draenic flasks
do not give more than regular flasks (which require no Catalysts), so there's no point.
is a great alternative for leveling alchemists, but can't be sold.
