The Mount Collector Mounts
In Battle for Azeroth, there are two new milestones for mount collectors to achieve,
for collecting 350 mounts and
for collecting 400 mounts. There have been enough mounts before Battle for Azeroth to achieve these early on, but Battle for Azeroth brings many new mounts to help you reach and obtain these mounts. So keep in mind that all the mounts below in this guide are also working towards these two new achievement mounts or even earlier ones in their series.
The last mount milestone achievement,
, was added back during Patch 6.2.2 of the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

- 350 mounts usable on a single character.
- 400 mounts usable on a single character.
- "These icy minions come from an unknown plane far from this one."
Teaches:
Ground Mount
This mount is a reward from the achievement,
, for collecting 350 mounts.
Things to know about obtaining this:
Only the total amount of mounts a single character can use will count towards this total.
Paladin and Warlock class-specific mounts will only count towards the maximum amount on those characters. This extra count, however, doesn't happen with
Legion class mounts.
Gladiator mounts and certain other special mounts that are not account-wide will only count towards the maximum of the characters that earn these mounts.
Legion class mounts for an unknown reason count towards the maximum across your account.
Paladins have an advantage with three unique class specific mounts.
Strategy to Obtain This Mount
There are a tremendous amount of mounts, and it would be too much to go into detail about how to obtain all of them, but here are some general tips about increasing your mount collection count.
Have a Paladin. Simply put, Paladins have their two class-specific mounts and can also obtain an additional mount at the Argent Tournament that no other class can use.
Having multiple characters allows you to make multiple chances at mounts that a character normally only gets one chance per day/week.
Legion Class Mounts are special and share credit across your account. A guide to Legion Class mounts can be found here:
Obtaining Legion Class Mounts
.
Have fun! If you are just getting into mount collecting, it is a long journey, and you will have to collect many rare mounts that are worth being excited about obtaining after grinding them out.

Rare Drop
The following mounts are rare drops from certain Dungeons in Battle for Azeroth. These can only drop in the Mythic version of these dungeons, giving players one chance a week on a particular character. However these mounts are also available in the Mythic Keystone version of these dungeons and have a chance to be in the "Challenger's Cache" located at the end of a Mythic Keystone dungeon along with the other loot of the dungeon. Therefore multiple attempts can be made at these mounts provided you have a
for one of these dungeons. These mounts are awarded automatically through Personal Loot to a player that has not already learned the mount and is tradeable between members of the group.
The last time dungeon mount drops were implemented was in the Cataclysm expansion.
- "The eternal twilight of the Underrot has robbed this crawg of all pigmentation."

dungeon in addition to the other loot. Beating the timer and the level of the keystone does not affect the chance for this mount to drop.
Estimated Drop Chance:
1%
Things to know about obtaining this:
Awarded through Personal Loot.
The mount is tradeable between other group members in the dungeon.
A player who already has the mount learned will not be able to loot another from the boss or chest.
Obtaining the mount does not trigger a guild message like some other rare drop mounts.
Strategy to Obtain This Mount
This mount can be obtained in a very similar way as
.
There is a good chance you may obtain this mount, or encounter someone that has it drop while doing regular Mythic and Mythic+ activities to gear up. If you are interested in getting this mount but aren't in a rush to collect it, it is smart not to go too crazy targeting Underrot Keystones as you will likely be doing plenty of Mythic+ Underrot throughout the entire expansion.
Now if you are eager to add this mount to your collection, there are two good ways to grind out attempts at this mount. In both cases, because the mount is personal loot and the chance to obtain is the same regardless of how many players are present, I suggest doing the following with a group of friends. Perhaps you can even convince a friend to trade you the mount if they get it!
The first method involves speed running regular Mythic
, skipping as many bosses and trash to get to the last boss,
who drops the mount. Luckily, in this dungeon, you don't need to kill any other bosses to get to the last one. Therefore clear trash and walk past bosses until you get to the end. Unfortunately, regular Mythic dungeons have a weekly lockout, so after you kill the end boss once; you will either have to swap to a different character and clear again, or wait for the weekly reset. Overall this method is the fastest per attempt and regular Mythic will be easier to clear as you get more gear, but this is limited based on how many characters you have at level 120 and how geared the group is.
The second method involves targeting
s. The best way is to form a four-person group, preferably with a tank and healer already, and then list your group in the Group Finder and ask specifically for Underrot keystones. As the mount has an equal drop chance regardless of the level, pick any level keystone you prefer. If you are solely seeking the mount, lower level keystones will be faster. The advantage to this method is that you can grind out attempts at this mount with one character, but you won't be able to skip bosses or too much trash like you can on regular Mythic dungeons.

As N'Zoth the Corruptor is the final boss of Ny'alotha, this is a fairly challenging boss at the beginning of the tier. Strategy to Obtain This Mount
The following information applies to all 4 of the Kul'Tiras and Zandalar World Drop mounts so if you have read up on one of the other mounts; you may want to skip three paragraphs to the section specific about this mount.
The chance for this mount to drop is very very low and is going to take a significant amount of time and luck (or just extreme luck) to get one to drop. That being said, there are a couple of things to consider before heading out to Vol'dun to mindlessly grind for who knows how long.
Firstly, if you aren't in a rush to get this mount and have Horde characters to level, consider holding off this mount grind until after you have leveled all your Horde characters through Vol'dun. You may conveniently loot this mount while simply questing through the zone. While very unlikely, it will still feel much more efficient to accomplish other tasks while searching for this mount.
Second, the mount is "Bind on Use" meaning if you have gold to spend, you can check the Auction House or check out trade chat and buy the mount to learn for yourself.
Dune Scavenger Farm
Now if you want to get this mount and aren't going to pay-to-win this into your collection, then it is off to the dunes with you. I would highly suggest attempting to join or form a five man group to help tag and kill creatures faster than you could solo. Due to the mount being personal loot, you don't reduce your chance of getting a mount by being in a group. However, a raid group is a no-go, as many items including this mount will not drop for players in raid groups.
You'll be looking to kill the snake looking creatures of Vol'dun called Sethrak. Just about any creature with the word "Sethrak" or "Faithless" in their name. These creatures can be found all over Vol'dun so you have a lot of options and places you may visit to attempt to get this mount. Now popular areas to farm these Sethrak have a history of having spawn rates of creatures nerfed, but here is some information on good locations to farm.

Hyper Spawns
- This term is used to describe a method of farming a large number of creatures at a fast rate. Hyper Spawn farming is abusing a forced respawn on certain creatures in a reasonably small area, often NPCs that are killed as a requirement of a quest. Generally, these NPC's respawn timer is affected based on how often they are being killed to help quest pacing in crowded areas. So if many creatures in the area are being killed often, the respawn of these creatures will speed up to accommodate.
In some areas, this causes the respawn of NPCs to get as low as 10 seconds, allowing a group to set up camp in a small area and farm the same ten mobs about every 15 seconds. Many of these have been nerfed but is still something to keep an eye out for.

Bloodfeaster Farm
If you are looking to obtain one of these flyings... things for yourself without buying it, then head off to the swamps of Nazmir; let's hope the saying "Noone comes back from Nazmir" isn't true. As with the other mounts, I suggest bringing some friends along to ease the grind, as the mount is personal loot and the chance for you to loot it isn't reduced based on how many players are in the group. However, a raid group is ineligible for most loot off creatures out in the world, including this mount.
Blood Trolls throughout Nazmir have a chance to drop this mount, as long as they usually drop loot. There are some areas where Blood Trolls do not drop loot for quest/story reasons so make sure to check before you start grinding an area.

Goldenmane Farm
If you are looking to obtain Goldenmane for yourself, then head out to Stormsong Valley and grind some mobs. Bringing a group of friends is always recommended, as it just makes killing enemies quicker and does not reduce your chance to get the mount. Just keep the group size to a party size, as a raid group will make you ineligible for many items to drop including this mount.
The type of enemies which this mount can drop off is a bit varied, but are generally related to being followers of Lord Stormsong. One of the most recommended areas is to farm creatures at The Brineworks near Mariner's Strand.

Pack Mule Farm
If you are looking to rescue this Pack Mule from the witches yourself. You'll have to head out to Drustvar and endure the curse. Before you start however I suggest getting a group together to help this grind out, there is no penalty to bringing a couple of friends, but do not form a raid group, as this will make your group ineligible to loot many items, including this mount.

Fully upgrading your Legendary Cloak and completing Titanic Research will come naturally over time as you progress through Horrific Visions.

I'm not sure why, the gold totals given above for mount costs at exalted, always exclude the reputation discounts for reaching exalted. ie 90,000 becomes 72,000.

Nice guide, would be even nicer though if the links where to the live page and not the PTR page. This makes the guide look horrible in other languages as there are no translations for the items and it only shows "item#12345" instead.

Hello friend. Please update Soundless/ Silent Glider to include "Not tradable". Killed it with my friends and could not trade it to each other, grouped, and all tapped the boss.

The Aerial Unit R-21/X isn't a random drop like the other dungeon mounts, It's a guaranteed drop for 1 player (that doesn't already have the mount learned) in a 5-man party (much like the smoldering ember wyrm) after completing all of the bosses that have a *hard mode* on mythic Operation: Mechagon. Here's a link to how it's done:
