This is a new PvP reward added in Patch 5.4 that is not tied to any personal rating.
is rewarded to players who have completed
in Season 14--win 100 arena games OR 40 RBGs, no rating involved.
For Alliance players,
can be redeemed at
For Horde players,
can be redeemed at
The horse and wolf are also rewards from winning rated battlegrounds, such as
The mount items are BoA, but once learned are unique to that character.
This is quite possibly the angriest, most vicious saddle you will ever meet.
It's something you can't get unless you do arena or rated BG's. :-(
Yes, get the horse, because the wolf is available at 75 wins.
Oqueue addon makes this very easy to obtain, just download it, and get in rbgs. Don't even need to use vent/skype/mumble etc.
It is account bound once you buy the mount, so you can mail it to alts n such.
But once it is learned, THAT character that learned it, can only use it. So choose carefully
I am not sure if the achievement can be earned on multiple toons or not. But I am aiming to get the achievement on 4 toons this season. If so, then you can randomly choose who gets the horse, and of course get the wolf and use it the same way.
pretty lame that you can get the steed from winning 40 arenas. i always liked riding mine because it used to take 75 rbg wins. now its a lot easier to get...
Achieved this mount in 3s without any PVP gear or conquest points from the beginning. Basically lost several arenas and then started doing well. Ended with ~18K conquest points, spent on tons of 522 gear. We started at 2PM and finished at about 4AM with maybe an hour long break through it all.
Frost DK, Resto Druid, BM Hunter, all full PVE gear at start, so even if you don't PVP it's possible to get this mount with a lot of effort!
Me and a friend were going for the 100 arena wins in season 14 for a saddle and mount. Somewhere towards the end we lost our 3rd player and I decided to just log my mage on my other account and we signed up getting the last few wins from the other team not showing up. Happy as a clam I bought myself a warsaber with my saddle and was happy to get this done before the season ended.
Now 3 days later and I log on my mage to do some tailoring and see she has mail. A saddle is in the mailbox... ?. Thinking it trough the only thing I can imagine is that somewhere, something got bugged. Because achievements usually are account wide, and both characters were online at the time, it somehow registered for both characters, even tho my mage has far from a 100 wins.
I don't know if it's simply enough for the other account to be online, or if the character actually had to be in the arena at the moment of 100 wins for the main character. But it would be worth further testing in season 15.
Ok it took me a while to figure this out and no one made mention of this. If you purchase the Wolf mount and send it to allie toon it will become the War Steed and if you purchase the Skeletal Horse and send it to allie side it will become the Warsaber and this works in reverse for sending from allie side to horde
Wanted the Warsable badly for my allie main toon but his low pop server has nearly no RBG groups at all and found it hard to pug Oque groups on a regular basis I had to grind out the RBG wins with horde toon with her guild that does RBGs and bought the War Wolf and sent it to allie toon where if became the War Steed so I sent it back and with the help of a kind GM who respond to my ticket I was able to get refund for Vicious Saddle and then purchase the Skeletal Warhorse and send to allie to get the War sable so Im sure this would work in reverse from allie to horde side
i have a question, does this mean that i cant get it because im a shaman?(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##
So I've read this is account-wide and you can send to your alts if you want? Is that true?
If not what about the mounts themselves? Can you turn the token in and then mail the mount to another character?
For anyone wondering about the mounts when faction changing i just had a chat with a gm about it,goes like this.
human <> orc
nelf <> undead
gnome <> tauren
dwarf <> troll
draenei <> belf
worgen <> goblin
If i get the Saddle for Season 15 but don't use it, can i buy the next mount that comes out with it since i don't like the raptor model?
In the next patch will be added Vicious War Kodo for Horde and
Vicious War Mechanostrider
Can you do the achieve multiple times within the same season? Of course different chars. I was thinking if it's possible to earn more than a mount per season (to catch up the missed seasons). Anyone tried?
I saved my saddle from 6.1.2, held on to it for 6.2 and it did NOT disappear, so i bought my
I wonder if this still will be obtainable in the new Legion Expansion.
So for the last 3 season I would get the saddle on horde toon for 40 rbg wins ( Allied toon server has no chance of ever forming a RBG team ) I would buy the current season mount and sent it to allied side and it would swap to the current allied version . once I got this seasons ( Kodo ) sent to allied toon and it was still a kodo not the mecha strider. A GM from a ticket informs me that this was bug that has been fixed . So please be aware of this , I have spent a lot of time effort and energy into finding a server to do the RBGs so don't make the same mistake I have made
Can i get this for winning 100 3v3 skirmish or does it have to be ranked 3v3's ?
no new mount in warlords season 3?D:
token is soulbound, but the mounts they purchase are battle.net account-bound, so can be mailed to a particular character. I assume that tokens can be earned by multiple characters in the same season, though I haven't verified that.
The character that learns the mount is the only one that can use it, and is the only character for whom it will be counted in mount-counting achievements like
. More than one character can learn the same mount.
If you're trying to maximize the number of mounts for mount collection achievements, one approach is to mail the vicious saddle's bind-on-account mounts to a paladin, who will have two basic class-specific mounts (the same as warlocks, death knights, and demon hunters), but can also learn a class-specific mount (
) from the argent tournament, giving it a one-mount advantage over any other class. Of course if you already have a bunch of character-specific gladiator mounts on a particular character, from gladiatorial triumph in past arena seasons, it could be more advantageous to send vicious saddle mounts to that character instead.
Just to make sure, you can keep these cross expansion right. I.E earned in WoD to use on the goblin trike in Legion?
EDIT: I used it and was one of the first (if not first) on my server to get the goblin trike!
Mailing a mount to a character on the opposing faction will automatically convert it into that faction's counterpart.
It's pretty lame that the mounts from these aren't account-wide , since i'm a mount collector i'm compelled to send these to my paladin in order to use his unique 3 class mounts and get a (small) head start for mount collection achievements.
vicious mounts will be account wide in patch 7.2 :D
Are you allowed to win more than 10 a week?
anyone else wish blizz would give us another option for getting these you'd see more pvp that way
I don't get it why doing bgs shouldn't be included. I have a partner for Arena and we can't find a 3rd person to join us. As for rated bg's . Never been in 1 that we could actually win even 1 round. I don't want free mounts to be given but why should we get punished like that At least make it available for the 2v2 bracket
And if it will be available after a certain amount of wins in random BGS or somehow in World pvp i am sure it will make more ppl participate in pvp. It's time for this crude system to end
Hello guys, first post in here.
Just wanted to let you all know, that the mounts are now account-wide.
So if you get the mount on let's say your Dwarf Paladin, you will also have it on the rest of your alliance characters.
Cheers, and good luck!
Can these be now earned in BFA PvP Season 1 again?
How to get
: After you fill your progress bar up once, you'll get a
every future time you fill up the bar, which can be turned in for many mounts!
To earn a mount or
you will need 2400 points.
2v2 wins give 10 points - 240 wins required
3v3 wins give 30 points - 80 wins required
RBG wins give 60 points - 40 wins required
Alliance Mounts you can purchase with
Horde Mounts you can purchase with
So I'm Alliance at the moment (I've played mainly horde over the past 14 years) and I specifically chose to get the Reins of the Vicious Warsaber not only because it's a great looking mount (and I love the saber mounts), but if I decided to go back to Horde it would convert into the Reins of the Vicious Skeletal Warhorse, which is by far IMO the most amazing looking Vicious mount.
I'm so very happy to have both my bases covered with this awesome mount :)
Starting with BFA season 2, these will be rewarded every time you fill up the progress bar after winning the seasonal mount.
The progress bar is filled by winning games while above 1400 rating. You need to fill the progress bar to 100% and progress is account wide. Only wins while at 1400 or above in that rated arena or bg group will count towards this mount. If you have a 1430 rating in 2v2 but 0 rating in 3v3, wins in 3v3 will not count until that rating is 1400 or better but wins in 2v2 will count.
There is a macro you can use to determine the exact amount of games you need to win on 2v2, 3v3, or RBG for the reward.
/run local criteriaString, criteriaType, completed, quantity, reqQuantity, charName, flags, assetID, quantityString = GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(13452, 1); print('Progress:' ,quantity,' out of ',reqQuantity)
/run local criteriaString, criteriaType, completed, quantity, reqQuantity, charName, flags, assetID, quantityString = GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(13453, 1); print('Progress:' ,quantity,' out of ',reqQuantity)
The saddle requires 2400 points. People have observed 2v2 appear to give 0.33%, 3v3 give 1% and RBG's give 2%.
This is mostly accurate as any wins while above 1400 will award the following:
2v2 = 10 points (240 wins)
3v3 = 30 points (80 wins)
RGB = 60 points (40 wins)
I am currently stuck with three
. It would be nice to be able to buy a spetacular mount for numerous
s for us who play a lot of pvp.
8.2.5. PVP UI shows only seasonal mount and the progress towards the saddle you had before patch is erased. Looks like they changed the system again.
Hello, does somebody know what has happened to the Saddles in 8.2.5? It now only shows the completed Mount progress. The progress bar towards the Saddle is gone. Maybe I missed something.
This item Vicious Saddle is or isnt account bound? I forgot it. thanks
the opposite of going bareback?
This comment is relevant for BFA. Currently, arena and RBG wins at 1400+ rating will give you credit towards the seasonal mount. This credit is shared on characters on both the Alliance and Horde side. Once the seasonal mount has been earned, progress can be made towards earning future vicious saddles by filling the new progress bar again. Progress on these additional vicious saddles is faction specific; there are separate Alliance and Horde progress bars. This progress is tracked by hidden achievements, starting with
for the Alliance and
for the Horde. You can track your progress towards your next vicious saddle by using the following command.
/run AddTrackedAchievement (xxxxx)
in which xxxxx is the relevant faction specific vicious saddle that you are currently working on. As mentioned previously, you get 10 points for 2s wins, 30 points for 3s, and 60 points for RBG wins.
You can continue earning vicious saddles until a new season begins, not just when the current season ends (during the "off season"), as long as you are playing on a character that has earned Combatant for the past season and is at 1400+ for that rated game. You can not earn titles (e.g. Combatant, Duelist, Gladiator, Rank 1, etc) in the off season. This will potentially be very relevant within the next few weeks, when the current Season 4 of BFA ends and a possible extended prepatch is released for Shadowlands. It is possible that this prepatch may extend for several months. If you wish to continue to farm vicious saddles during that time, pushing a few alts to a 1400+ rating and Combatant rank now before the end of the season might well be worth it.
Finally, vicious saddles can also be earned by completing the
series of achievements requiring you to win 75, 150, and 300 RBGs. Progress on these achievements can take place even during the off season.
I ve got one Saddle on my bag ready to be used for the Vicious Black Bonesteed (it will be added on the patch or Sls not sure). Will this work or i must use my saddle this week?
Does anyone know if we are still able to earn vicious saddles in 9.0 / Pre Patch ? I'm at 15% and I really don't want to grind out the other 85% if I can't earn the saddle.
Anyone knows if we'll be able to use the old saddles for bfa vicious mounts when shadowlands releases? Cause atm there's only 10 mounts for sale from the vendor, and they're all the ones up to legion.
It appears Blizzard made these random drops now at the end of a Ranked 3s win in Shadowlands. I just received a saddle after a Ranked 3's win ~1500 rating, only 8% into my seasonal saddle.
edit: it appears the BFA last season's progress rolled into the new season, so I believe this reason makes the most sense.
Anyone else have over 1400 CR and gotten the spider mount this season, but dont get any progress on the pvp reward? Im still stuck at 0% after 100 wins..
With the recent change to allow progress towards the current season’s vicious mount at 1000 rating (down from 1400), can anyone confirm or deny if progress towards vicious saddles proceeds at 1000 rating and above?
Anyone knows the % given from Rated Solo Shuffle or how many wins it takes to complete?
