Maraudon Dungeon Overview
瑪拉頓
is a level 45-52 dungeon located in the Valley of Spears in
淒涼之地
in WoW Classic. It is considered holy ground to centaurs, as a combination of an ancient burial ground and a temple dedicated to the elemental earth.
In keeping with
Patch 1.12
, groups of up to 10 players may enter Maraudon together, although 5 is considered a typical group size.

Recommended Classes
Dungeons are usually completed with five players, comprising the following roles:

tank
to hold threat, absorb damage, and prevent the enemy mobs from killing the DPS and healer. Usually a Tank Warrior equipping a

DPS
: All classes can deal DPS, but the most popular DPS while leveling is Mage, Warrior, Rogue, Warlock, and Hunter. Hybrids can DPS, but they will usually end up healing.
A
healer
to keep the party alive, and resurrect dead players. Usually a Healing Priest due to their versatile healing kit and buffs like
, but Druids, Paladins, and Shaman can also heal.
Because each section of

contains it's each set of unique mobs, completing a full run will require a versatile group. Having
Crowd Control
will prove to be very useful. Some examples of classes and their CC that can be utilized in

Make sure you mark and target which mob to focus on first with each pull to make things easier. Some patrols will have casters which are generally good to focus and kill first.
How to Get To Maraudon
The Valley of Spears is north of Shadowprey Village and west of the Kodo Graveyard in

. You’ll see large stone doors, marking the entrance, and centaurs guard the path leading in, so make sure to group up before entering.
Entrance to Maraudon
There are two separate entrances to the instance itself: one pathway lined with
orange
crystals, and another with
purple
. The entire instance can be accessed, however, once you are inside. Once you're able to acquire a

Earth Song Falls
, another section of

Once you pass through the massive stone doors, the path is pretty straightforward.
Shadowshard Side of Maraudon (Purple)
The Shadowshard Side
is often referred to simply as the
PURPLE
side. Most of the mobs on this side are demons.

The Wicked Grotto
is the first area you'll discover once zoning in. You'll encounter an elite

Ambershard Side of Maraudon (Orange)
The Ambershard Side
is often referred to simply as the

side. Most of the mobs on this side are plants, and all of the boss drops contain
Nature Resistance
gear.

Foulspore Cavern
is the first area if you zone in from the entrance. You'll encounter elite mobs such as

As you make your way through the cavern, look for the

You can skip some of the mobs within Poison Falls if you stick to either running in the water or hugging a wall on land. Typically the

Jump off the ledge, over the waterfall, to gain access to

. Head south, and you'll encounter many wandering beasts throughout the area.
Noteworthy Trash Mobs in Earth Song Falls

wander around and cast a knockback that could throw you into additional mobs. Be aware of your surroundings before engaging one.

which not only pushes you back, but damages as well. At max range, non-melee players should be able to avoid this. Also, be aware that there are non-aggressive turtles in the area around her cavern. If they get hit with a spell, they will aggro on you, so be mindful of your surroundings.
For max level players, the Princess can be stealth-run with a full group of Druids and Rogues.

BoEs from Maraudon
None! Maraudon is one of the rare dungeons that does not have zone-specific BoE armor and weapon drops.
Maraudon Gold Farming
Maraudon is just low enough level to let some classes solo some of the bosses and all of the bosses that are killed in the traditional farming run have weapon drops which vendor for a nice amount of gold. The biggest reasons to farm Maraudon is that no players can come gank you, you set your own pace, do not have to rely on selling on the auction house, and you are not collecting any items that can lose value over time.
While classes such as Priests , Druids, and Mages could likely do this farming method, they will not be able to do complete the runs as efficiently as the two main classes that farm

. Those two classes are Hunters and Warlocks . Both of these classes are ranged dps, are able to kite, and have pets that are able to tank (both classes can even heal their pets). Each run will roughly take 10-20 minutes.
