Felwood used to be a lush forest that is N of Ashenvale, but since the third war and the Burning Legion's return, the woods have grown corrupt.

Fel energy, mostly from Infernals landing in the woods and having some of the fel seep into the forest's river and waterfall, has made the flora and fauna here diseased and scarred.

Sadly, the fel also spills into Darkshore from a waterfall from Felwood, where it is now corrupting the wildlife there.

The Alliance FP is just south of the Timbermaw hold, called Talonbranch Glade. Relatively hidden. Also theres no inn there.

Worth mentioning, you have to go through Ashenvale to get to Felwood.

Do NOT die in Felwood. The two graveyards are in two really crappy spots and the corpse runs in this area are straight up brutal.

Where theres not alot of mining here its a good place to go if you want to avoid gankers.

Strangely, there's a Druid trainer up in Talonbranch Glade.
Seems kind of stupid to me, since you could simply get your reputation with Timbermaw Hold up to at least Unfriendly and go through there to Moonglade, or just use https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=18960 to get to a trainer (which any sane Druid would do anyway).

im suprised no one mentioned this but... this place is really good for questing ur way up. I went here on my lvl 50 mage and got some good quests that gave awesome rewards money, xp, and items! :D reconmend this if ur anywhere from lvl 48-55. watch ur back though ive come across alot of hordes and allys runing through there questing and ganking random ppl. most of them are lvl 55+ because they get some honor off ya.

whether you like this zone or not, it is for the most part, just a filler zone because Blizz does not enjoy have giant gaps in the middle of a continent. The only reason why most people come here is that it is a part of the Linken Quest line and that it is connected to Winterspring, which is not as popular of a place to go as opposed to the Plague Lands, but, it certainly is quite lovely to look at

For Alliance and Horde players going for loremaster, there's a quest that drops from mobs in Jaedenar that is hard to catch, due to the low droprate of the quest item, Blood Red Key. This quest item leads to a three part chain, starting with an escort quest, Rescue From Jaedenar.

I grinded for about 10 minutes, much beyond what was needed to complete the quest that requires you to kill the mobs in Jaedenar, to get this item. Il check back later to see if there's some way to check if you've done this quest already.

UPDATE: If you have already done the quest, the quest mob "Captured Arko'narin will say: "As you inspect the cage and Night elf inside, you get an odd sense of deja vu. For some reason she does not make eye contact with you-- it's almost as if you are not there to her." Instead of her usual "Rescue me" speech, so check with her before spending 1 hour wondering why the key doesn't drop for you.

PS: (The key will be in your keychain if it drops)

Hmmm I didn't Notice this Till Later on but...
If u have the Shared Horde/alliance Fp And go to Winterspring .. u will Be surprised that u wont have any Flights Connected to The Winterspring FP(51,81) so i advice The Horde To take the West(34,52) Fp At The Camp u can see in map. and NorthEast(62,24) Fp For alliance Be4 u Go to Wintergrasp.....

I love Felwood...great leveling place....lots of baddies to kill especially in combination with nice quests and the sound and "smell" of the place is just right :)

Location is 63,24. (Alliance). South of Felpaw in Talonbranch Glade. From the Ash entrance, it's all the way at the top of the map. Just follow the road north until you've hit the northeast corner, then go south into Talonbranch. Should hit it then. Look for Mishellena.

The flight path for horde is in Bloodvenom Post, west of Bloodvenom Falls. Follow the green river west until you reach the end of the zone, then go south and you'll be right there. Wind rider master's name is Brakkar.

For those who don't have Cosmos:

Find Bloodvenom Falls and follow it West to the drop off (but don't fall off). Turn left from that point and go up the hillside. You should be at a Horde outpost (it's called Bloodvenom Post or something like that).

For all the low lvls want to know if you are high enough to fight in felwood....
Bm hunters and locks can fight here easily at 47-48
Any other class I would wait for 49-50

Felwood is a great place for grinding exp. The humaniods to the left of the enterence are needed for rep and have low hp. They also drop a constant rate of mageweave which sells for 2-3g per stack of 20 on my server.

IF you want lots of quests go to Un'goro Crater. Felwood just has alot of good grind spots.

There is a path to enter felwood from Ashenvale. it is roughly in the center of ashenvale a road that leads north into Felwood. There you go.

Felwood now has 2 alliance fps, rather then 1 as before. The new fp is at Emerald Sanctuary at 51,82.

The flight master is a tauren by name Gorrim

To answer the question of where you should level, my vote would be Western Plaguelands at 50. When I leveled my paladin a year ago, I found that the Western and Eastern Plagueland setup was the most efficient way to level as quick as possible. I also picked that particular area because the questgivers tend to be closer to the actual quest objectives. In other words, I think Felwood is an alright zone to level in, yet I would choose Western Plaguelands if given the choice.

I agree with the comment above me. WPL would be a great place to lvl. Felwood is a great place to grind both for cloth and money, AND for horde if you ever want to get to winterspring you wil have to do some rep grinding. This place is deffinately FUN....not only for grinding for the tailors out there but if you do the plant salve side quest you get some killer berries and a buff that gives you a plus 70 to your crit and +15 to each stat. I know that for horde if you want to get your lnfernal pet you have to come to felwood...which in my opinion is all but easy...deffinately bring a friend willing to help with this one...And for god sakes dont attack any timbermaws in azshara before you start your rep grinding....lol....like I did or it will take you twice as long to get through the tunnel to winterspring....happy hunting

After freeing Arko'narin she tells you to meet her friend at the border of Ashenvale, but its more like the bottom quarter of Felwood.

Don't be lead astray.

Emerald Sanctuary is in Felwood.

Not in Ashenvale.

Her friend's name is Jessir Moonbow.

Hope this keeps someone from wasting time in Ashenvale.

Go down Jaedanar Lane, past the Temple on the left, around back past the corrupted moonwell and back at the far point of the curve is a little temple with two guards. Go inside. Tunnel leads into the place.

For classic, to get to the horde flight path, go west in the water at Bloodvenom Falls, until you get to Bloodvenom Post. You're welcome :)

For you who are still wondering (because no posts below really cover the answer!), there are NO alliance flight paths in Felwood according to Blizzard. This is the Blue post tracker link on Wowhead indicating that:

HOWEVER, there is INDEED an alliance flight path at Talonbranch Glade, just keep going North on the road and eventually you will see a road sign pointing to it. The FP is at 62.24.

For those who want to know, Mobs here are Level 48-53 from what I could see from a long run to the Flight Point.You know, one of the major reasons to find out about Felwood, or any zone you don't know about, is to find out what level the mobs are before you spend the time to go there. You can kind of tell by the quest levels but that is not always the case as quest levels can be over or under rated in difficulty. It would be really helpful if this became a standard report for everyone trying to figure out whether to go there or not.
