Marks the target with a large V above their head, makes your character have a British accent, changes your face to that of Guy Fawkes, forces you to recite works of Shakespeare, and makes you want to start a revolution. It's one hell of an ability.

I have only one question. What the %^&* are the people over on the Dev team thinking when they do #$%^ like this? GC and the dev team spent nearly an entire expansion trying to balance out HfB which was originally almost the same exact thing as this talent (I believe HfB was 18% damage buff glyphed). Unless theres a steep CD on this talent along the lines of 2+ mins they've pretty much spent a year trying to balance a talent that they eventually removed only to replace it with a carbon copy of the skill they said they couldn't balance to begin with.

this is not overpowered for sure,

this talent replace hunger for blood which was increasing all damage caused by 5% (+8% glyphed) to all target.

this talent increase 20% but only on one target, so no more "lol AoE FoK spammin"

As of PTR build 12984 this talent currently provides 20% increased damage, even to currently applied dots such as Deadly Poison 5-Stack or 4/5 point Rupture. Just to clarify, it won't be necessary to use this talent when starting your rotation in order to benefit the most from the 20% increased damage. It can be used at any time, preferably after you get your rotation started and have Deadly Poison stacked and Rupture applied.

Much like Killing Spree, Blade Flurry, and Adrenaline Rush, Assassination will now have a cooldown worth using. Whether it be something you use every time it's up (ie Festergut), or something you can pool an additional minute (ie Deathbringer Saurfang's 30% frenzy), it will add a bit more complexity to the stagnant tree.

From a PvP standpoint, Assassination is now a very different tree. When you only had to go part way into the tree in WotLK, you were able to pick up very essential Sub talents, like Preparation. By having to go the full 31 points into Assassination in Cata, I feel that the 31 point talent being different in PvP is the least of your worries.

Edit: After testing it for a while on live, it would appear that you still get a higher DPS increase by using it at the start of the fight, simply due to so many Trinket/Ring/Enchant procs all happening at the same time.

The unerring vision part of this ability has some interesting uses for a few boss fights (well atleast one that i know for sure) where the boss disspears for a phase, for example:

I was able to continue attacking Ionar when he was in his dispersion phase, you can't kill him in this phase though he just stays at 1hp.

So, is anyone else reminded of the ability Mark of Death that the rogue specialization Assassin gets in Dragon Age? Both appropriate and awesome I'd say. :D

This talent alone is totally tempting me to create a dwarf rogue.

Also, this is one of a few abilities that will allow you to see an invisible opponent, quite useful when fighting those pesky (arcane) mages.

Couple important things to know about Vendetta:

-Triggers the GCD (unlike cold blood and shadow dance)
-Can be used while stealthed without taking you out
-If a rogue has this on him and vanishes, it goes away just like hunter's mark
-Nothing else removes it, not even ice block or bubble

Any smart rogue will vanish this off instantly, so because this is such a strong cooldown I recommend not using it on a rogue unless you really want him to waste his vanish. So much for unerring vision. This is just a straight up damage cooldown 99% of the time. The only other cool thing besides staying on thru immunities is that you can see mages when they go invisibile.

It's MUCH superior to Faerie Fire. It's not dispellable. Assuming all healers can remove Magic, and Rogues can also Cloak out of FF (Unsure about Vendetta), this is, in every way, superior.

While Faerie Fire may be dispelled, it also has no cooldown (against Vendettas 2 minute cooldown). For the purpose of stealth / target detection this ability is poor in comparison, even more so when compared to the similar Hunter's Mark.

In terms of secondary effects, Vendetta is superior as a level 69 talented ability (spec restrictive) versus Faerie Fire as a level 24 class-wide ability.

The debuff does not disappear from your target when you change your spec.

Therefore you can use Vendetta stealthed (to take advantage of Overkill) on a boss (with Item - Rogue T13 4P Bonus (Shadow Dance, Adrenaline Rush, and Vendetta) and Glyph of Vendetta for a maximal duration of 46,8 secounds), switch back to your main spec (which should not be Assassination in this case), pre-pot, use Stealth again if necessary, you'll have your +20% damage boost for the first 35 to 40 secounds of an encounter (same duration as Bloodlust - /wink).

In short, if you don't mind sacrificing your secoundary specialization, you can burst the hell out of quite a few encounters, such as Shannox, Baleroc, Majordomo Staghelm, Ultraxion and Madness of Deathwing (just to name a few) - or just any other, if you ditch Bloodlust.

Vanish no longer removes this it seems. I've tracked several other rogues now through their vanishes, surprised both of us!
