Class

Thistle Tea is now a choice talent – Players may now choose between the existing version, which casts automatically at low Energy in addition to being usable actively, and a new version that must be cast actively.
Atrophic Poison now reduces damage dealt by 4% (was 3%).
Atrophic Poison duration increased to 60 seconds (was 10 seconds). Duration remains unchanged in PvP combat.

Fatebound

Deal Fate now has a 60% chance to grant an extra combo point when you Seal Fate (was 100%).

Deathstalker

Fixed an issue that caused Unshakable Drive's bonus to multiply with each stack.
Fixed an issue that often caused Unshakable Drive to remove more than one stack per ability use.

Assassination

New Talent: Unstable Toxin – Envenom damage increased by 18%, but its duration is reduced by 2 seconds.
Apex Talent: Implacable (Rank 1) has been updated – Envenom damage increased by 10%. Envenom now restores 2 Energy per combo point spent.
Apex Talent: Implacable (Rank 3) – Implacable Strike damage increased by 15%.
Internal Bleeding has been updated – Now triggers from casting Kidney Shot and Rupture, rather than also being applied when copying Ruptures with Crimson Tempest. Damage increased by 10%.
Iron Wire has been updated – Garrotes applied from stealth or during the Improved Garrote window now silence the target for 5 seconds. Damage reduction behavior unchanged.
Dashing Scoundrel has been updated – Envenom's effect now also increases the critical strike chance of your weapon poisons by 10% (was 5%). Your Energy generation is increased by 4% for each lethal poison on your weapons.
All damage dealt increased by 20%.
Deathmark increases the damage of your Rupture, Garrote, and Lethal Poisons by 75% (was 100%).
Kingsbane damage reduced by 15%.
Shrouded Suffocation increases Garrote damage by 30% (was 20%).
Avulsion increases Rupture damage by 25% (was 20%).
Motivated Murderer Energy increased to 30% (was 20%).
Rapid Injection damage bonus increased to 20%/40% (was 15%/30%).
Venomous Wounds generates more Energy when multiple targets are affected by your bleeds.
Blindside's chance to trigger reduced to 10% (was 15%), and 20% when the target is at low health (was 30%).
Poison Bomb's visual has been adjusted to make other important visuals on top of it easier to see.
Lethality and Cold Blooded-Killer now work correctly with the strikes dealt by Implacable (Rank 3).
Several talents have changed positions in the talent tree.
Deadly Momentum has been removed.

Maintain Bleeds: Assassination has two bleeds to maintain at all times with Rupture and Garrote. These serve as the highest priority before filler abilities are used. In AoE, these can be spread using Crimson Tempest.

Line up cooldowns: With Assassination being slow and methodical, part of the rotation requires cooldowns being lined up properly. Many interactions end up yielding noticeable benefits, such as Improved Garrote during Deathmark.

Manage Resources: Assassination Rogues are unique in that they are limited by resources, instead of the GCD like most other classes. Managing energy and combo points to avoid waste during hectic fights or downtime is key to success.

Damage: Currently Orc or Mag'har Orc grant a rather minor damage benefit over other options.

Mobility: For added mobility, Goblin's rocket jump can help reposition or negate some knockbacks.

Mythic+ Utility: In Mythic+, Night Elf can ignore some mechanics with Shadowmeld, while Dwarf is uniquely equipped to handle certain mechanics with Stoneform.

since when Assa opens the rotation with Ambush? :-D I did not pull out that spell from the spell book to action bar - I'll stick with Garrote :)

When do we start seeing diminishing returns on our secondaries? I'm currently at 28% crit and 29% mastery. Every piece of gear from m+ is loaded with crit/mastery. I'm going with the idea that at 30%, I will start to see my diminishing returns penalties start to come into play. I am trying to supplement my gear with vers/haste, but there just isn't much of it. At some point, I am not going to be able to avoid breaking that 30% mark. Am i worrying about nothing, or is this a legit issue?
Edit: Ignore the tag, I don't tank anymore. I've main'd a rogue since bfa. I don't remember having issues like this before.

in 10.1 the Sepsis build is worth looking at if you have 4-piece tier set bonus. even without the tier set, the Sepsis ability itself has been adjusted to offer something more like Vanish than just nature damage! if taking Sepsis, double check on the buttons in your stealth action bar. you don't want to get caught fail spamming the Sap key when you mean to hit the Deathmark key like i was at first

There is ALOT of bugs with Assassination rogue currently. Nearly a 10% decrease in dps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy3vDx7jKD0

Can we get a guide built around these bugs? I don't forsee blizzard fixing these issues as this is a niche and forgotten class.

If someone is going to volunteer to maintain the class specification up to date, I wish they'd update the hero talents in builds as well. Nothing more frustrating that coping the recommended build only for the hero talents to be empty.

Deathstalker needs a rework. Shrouded Suffocation is bugged giving only one combo point. Energy starvation is an issue.
