It seems Metamorphosis has a base model for each race and gender, but will match your skin color, hair color, and tattoos.

This is the Havoc (DPS) version of the Metamorphosis ability. The appearance the Demon Hunter becomes more demonic, with hooves and wings, as well as an enhanced physique.

It appears that some of the details of the transformation reflect your character customization choices. (This includes your Demon Hunter's hair color and tattoo choice, at the very least -- though note that the tattoos appear to always be bright green, as mine were purple in normal form.) I tested this by changing my Demon Hunter's hair color and tattoo style in the Barber Shop, then re-using Metamorphosis to compare screenshots. I've submitted both screenshots for reference.

Most AoE circles used by other classes are canceled by right-clicking, but "Metamorphosis" is different. The AoE circle can only be cancelled by hitting Esc.

If you use Rocfeather Skyhorn Kite while in Metamorphosis it will look like you are flying in Metamorphosis with wings flapping and all. The dream of Metamorphosis-like flying without mount is alive.

Worth mentioning you can't be imprisoned by your fellow demon hunters in this form nor the vengance one. I'm unsure if you can be banished by a warlock though.

Worth noting: in Metamorphosis, you always get horns and tattoos (bright green). I made a night elf male without horns or tattoos, metamorphosised and I got the standard ones. Screenshots uploaded.

Really wish Blizzard would make a Glyph that would make you be in this form at your normal height at all times or a Toy that let you change into this form for 5 minutes or so.
