This ability has a huge burst potential.

As of now, on my Rogue, weapon damage averages 600/200 as Sub, with Sword/Dagger.
800ish damage every .5 seconds for 5 hits equals to 4000ish damage before armor in 2.5 seconds....ouch

crazy idea to exploit it, but, if the range check is made at every "shadowstep". then a rogue could, in theory, move up to 49 yards from their original position. this would have some handy applications, like running the WSG flag accross at least 1/3 of the field in 2.5 secs. think of the possiblities!

This hability has some huge potential, even for a completely new breed of rogue, using the slowest possible sword on both hands.

Sword procs, combat potency and 10 slow swords attack sounds too good to be true. I hope they don't nerf this one till I can try it!

Imagine two REALLY slow swords/maces/fists/whatever with this. Good lawd. I can see this doing MASSIVE amounts of damage to someone.

But it'd be situational, I'd imagine.

For example, let's say you're doing some world PvP, like farming something when you decide to attack another player or are attacked by another player. You hit Murder Spree and end up hopping way off to the side and hitting multiple mobs you didn't originally want to hit. Or even soloing an elite/named mob, then instead of doing massive damage you end up pulling every other mob in the area while you're way away from the mob you're attacking.

Something tells me the range on this will only apply to whoever you target when you use it, or from where you start it, not from every hit. Even then, this will probably take a lot of debugging to get working properly.

I do wonder if this *stacks* with mace(!)/sword specialization and/or blade flurry...

5 attacks with both hands - totalling 10 attacks.
6/5% chance per attack, 60/50% chance for a mace/sword spec proc. (I know it doesn't really work this way but eh)
Blade flurry - Weapon attacks strike an additional nearby opponent. (Doubtful but hey, you can always hope ^_^)

It kinda reminds me prince of persia; sands of time when he used the magical dagger to fasten his moves arround his enemies. Ofc with 2 very slow but still very powerfull weapons this can bring up some decent damage. (using a macro will be best)

And don't worry if you strike surrounding mobs in the area. It has 10 yards range witch means it's too little and you'll better calculate your moves. Besides that's what a rogue is...

as a finishing move in arena is even better...

I'm guessing Mages can Iceblock, Warlocks can use their new summoned circle to Teleport back to the safety of 40 yards away... or since the tooltip isn't the same as Bladestorm, you can just be feared, snared, incapacitated, disarmed, stunned, horrified etc. We'll just have to wait and see the final version :)

This ability is basically the same as mutilating every .5 seconds. Even then, combats not a pvp tree. This talents viability will be on AOE groups of mobs and bosses that require adds to be quickly bursted down.

Its been mentioned that this ability is similar to the Juggernaut's Omnislash in DotA(from Warcraft III), but to be specific, it is effective against many targets evenly, or one target immensely.

Burst damage or AoE, depending on the situation, which makes it an awesome choice in and out of pve/pvp. Overall, a very nice addition for rogues, specifically combat.

would this spell in PvE mean that you would have the chance to aggro some mobs that you would not chose to aggro in TBC because the are too powerful to solo making you less likely to use it and more likely to die and that even more so in raids and instances.

The thing i think that we are ingnoring about this abilitiy is the content we will be going up against. New encounters may just have an place for this ability.

Think about KZ and doing Opera and fighting Romulo and Julianne. Both mobs need to die at the same time correct?

For all the guys writing that you can end up on the other side of your target hitting 5 different mobs - read the skill again - you can only jump to someone within 10 yards so use your brain and take your named elite away from other mobs or jump on a player where there are no mobs nearby.

Very much like Omnislash from final fantasy and from some of the maps in WC3. This would be an excellent source of burst damage (With 2 slow weapons)

Now that I've seen this it looks kinda lame to what I expected. I wanted a awesome running through enemies and cutting kind of thing. But this is still a very cool and creative attack. Good job Blizz.

You rouges are all going on about dmg this and weapons that, but your forgetting the most important part. Ever see Ryu in Ninja Gaden 1 peform his ultimate attack with the katana? You know with the after trails and everything? Well if this looks like that, ill be happy to be taken out by it.

...Course if you just shadowstep and peform a basic attack I will be very disapointed with blizz graphic designers.

This idea started from an inspirational thought when one day, Chris Metzen and his team played Dota and got owned by a Juggernaunt using Omnislash, but that wasn't it, all his team mates got killed, double kills, triple kills, double kills, KILLING SPREE! And Chris decided that Rogue, after being surpressed by plate wearers for so long...needed a skill that screams OWNING at their faces...

Killing Spree seems to be very bugged as 3.0.2 live. It isn't benefiting from Attack Power or anything else, so my weapons hit for about 300 (Vanir's Right Fist of Brutality) and 170 (Tracker's Blade).

just learned this. and its sooo fun. not as much range as shadowstep. but still teleports you to the enemy 10yrds away. this is definately going to be nerfed cuz blizz likes to do that to OP talents.

I tested this skill in kara last night on Live servers.

Popped blade flurry and berserker's call, ran into a bunch of mobs, and watched huge numbers flying around.

Best thing is, it costs no energy and a short cool down. When you're low energy, use it, and let energy recharge.

This is now officially my ultimate I WIN button.

Use fan of knives afterwards for maximum affect.

As stated before, as cool as this is, I can't see it having much raid potential. Having tested it a bit in the beta, I've had some problems with it not performing all 5 attacks and leaving me stranded pretty far from my initial target, and pulling nearby mobs because of all the jumping around I'm doing. The only use I could see it had was for Tricks of the Trade, which can be accomplished just as well with Fan of Knives and Blade Flurry. So it seems instead of putting this final point in the combat tree for this move, I'll be putting it in Lethality instead.

PvE: before you may have to sap one on a 2mobs-pull.. now just pop both skills and kill them in 2.5sec...

PvP: who knows.. One day I killed a lock with this skill after a cheap-shot XD

Caution: if you use this ability while in stealth and there are no targets, the ability does nothing (an error message will inform you that you can't use that ability because nobody is nearby), but it will break stealth anyway. So be sure that you are in range or you will simply reveal yourself. (patch 3.0.2)

Okay, ive been trying this talent out in the BGs and some easy raids (mainly kara/ZA pugs since my guild doesnt raid anymore) and heres pretty much what i found.

In pvp it's got HUGE burst potential on clothies. Not sure if its mentioned before but you still do white DPS and you can still SS spam whilst you teleport around. You do about 6k dmg on clothies. If its against a hunter or a lock with a pet then just pop Blade flurry and you do full dmg to both :D. Crap thing is that spending so many points in combat for pvp means your stealth pretty much sucks. Any rogue with half a brain will put the talent points in relentless strikes over Master of deception so you will get jumped alot by other stealthies and its hard to land an opener if the other class is alert.

In PvE its pretty awesome against tank and spank bosses which most of kara is... it simply means you do about an extra 4-5k dmg every 2 mins. I would think twice about using this though since it does break CC atm and you may end up in front of the boss and get 1 shotted by a cleave. Hope they change it so you at least end up where you started.

Overall i dont know wtf Blizz was thinking. PvP? well nerves of steel prevents the stunlock instagib but there's just so much better talents available in other trees to make this a viable and serious pvp spec. Also its quite hopeless in pve since it breaks CC and it could be the death of you if your final "teleport" takes you in front of the raid boss. But i guess it's a fair tradeoff if you want to do some semi serious raiding and pvp occasionally too without having to respec.

This skill is energy-free, procs your trinkets, combat potency, and enchants - Basically on single target raid bosses that don't cleave/have nasty frontal abilities you wait until your energy reaches the bottom and pop it - Your energy will much likely refill and you can start your cycle once again.

I'm questioning its use at level 70, where I would replace it with Vigor at any time but for the fun of seeing it bug certain encounters due to the rogue being able to stand airborne while attacking airborne targets and then falling down.

Overall this skill would have a nice potential if it only was based on weapon DPS rather than top end damage ( I read a blue where it was getting fixed but I can't confirm it ) and if it benefited from AP.

I got a twink rogue at 59 so far, but i played the 70's the other day and saw a rogue going around with the twin blades the other day. if i ever move this guy to 60, i'm definitely going down combat in favor of swords someday and this ability.

this skill is a nightmare when used correctly from what i saw, and i wish i knew what was that rogue eating besides the blades, but this move from when i saw when put in the right hands is extremely devastating as far as AoE DPS goes. i use a healer at level 70 and this guy was swarmed on by 3 other rogue pals i was healing, but when they all surrounded him just as i topped all of their health off, this guy activates killing spree and took roughly 15% of all three of their health per attack. i had to sacrifice a swift Chain heal just to keep up after that attack.

I don't like the attack just because of that, but the pure potential of some nasty AOEing is what i'm starting to see is the jewel of combat and the nasty passive striking damage it gives is surely looking nice. i loved assassination for the insane burst potential, but with the high health these days, this tree becomes more lovely the more i see the health pile up.

one sick attack that is quite deadly against crowds, if u combine this and blade flurry, or insane burst dmg against single targets. with my gear i manage to deal 2.5k dmg per hit. recommended if against mobs, that u pop evasion before using this and blade flurry, or pop vanish after.

This skill has much use in pve on raid bosses and the best way i have found to fit it in your cycle is use envenom for the increased poison application then use killing spree to immediately get the doses back to 5. It fits in the cycle and helps single target dps better than using killing spree on its own.

...anyways, as far as new 51 point talents go... this one seems to be Shadowstep's bigger brother. That makes it both very cool and fun... but not much else, outside of situational. For PvE, I think it could work for the tank and spank bosses, but I don't think I'd invest in it for a serious build.

In my experience, very few rogue roll for PvE. This is yet another gift to "The Most Useless Class in the Game". This doesn't do anything that a rogue couldn't already do, every rogue I know has this trick where they hit they're dash and do something that makes them lag out so they appear on all sides of you.

I don't pretend to be good at pvp, but the song was right on with this one verse:
"50% of your server will be composed of rogues who rolled they're class to be cheap. You should not be worried cause you can kill everyone in one shot with no skill"

you can gank people flying around on their mounts with this move. it makes you dash to them and you wont fall down till you finish the move. if they don't get killed with killing spree they will most definitely fall off the mount . make sure you got the parachute cloak or skygaurd's drape

I raid with my rogue and i use this on boss fights that have melee adds or when we have an elite with non elite adds. this plus blade furry means that when skull is down either the nonelites are dead for other elites are close to death. (tanks should be pulling far enough away that it wont' break ur cc because most tanks use aoe to help hold aggro)

It stacks with all my trinkets and blade furry and because im a troll i also have http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=26296 (berserking) which stacks as well.

Im easily doing 800 damage per swing x5 without critting. ive traded a lot of crit for haste and hit so my crit is only 16%ish right now but I still usually crit for at leat 1200 on one of those 5 swings. which = anywhere from 4k- 5k from a few 2 minute cooldowns. I love this ability and it's good for getting untargeted.

On my rogue my Killing Spree is a 1 Minute CD...I dont know how I have it that was but i think its from Glyph of Adrenaline Rush(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42954). Because it became a minute CD after i put that in.

Using Killing Spree will break immobilization and slow effects, as well as Hex as far as I can tell - haven't actually tried to use it to break out of sheep. While under its effects, you will be impossible to hit with a targeted attack, and are immune to all CC effects. You can still be hit with an AoE while using the ability. If using in PvP, I strongly advise using dismantle on Warriors and Ret Paladins prior to popping it to prevent getting gibbed by Bladestorm or Divine Storm.

I have been using this for a while testing it in diffrennt situations
Using my current Spec (7/51/13) I have found the following out
1: It can proc Blade Furry
2: The speed CAN be modified via SnD and Blade Furry which
3: This is best used on single target boss encounters like Archavon on VoA (Espically 25man where he has an enrage timer)
4: It can proc posions
5: It can proc trinkets
6: It can proc Sword Spec however its unkown at time of writing weither that reduces the amounts of attacks from killing spree
7: Its unknown at the moment but it ignores the deactivation/activation of prey on the weak until the attack is finished (if anyone can work this out please say)

I think 2 min CD is very long for a 51 pt talent. Not for all of them ofc. Since this is the very only instant burst damage skill of combat tree...
And by the way "Untargetable" doesn't clarify things much, skills like Howl of Terror, or Psychic Scream work or not? Anyone tried?

* Hunger for Blood – instead of a self-buff, this ability can only be used when there is a bleed effect on the target. However, it has no stacks and grants a 15% damage bonus.
* Adrenaline Rush – the cooldown on this ability has been lowered.
* Lightning Reflexes – reduced to 3 ranks. In addition to 2/4/6% dodge, this talent now also grants 4/7/10% passive melee haste.

Well for "the forgotten" u don't adrenelin rush use killing spree simply because killing spree doesn't requir energy, u use adrennelin rush then spam fan of knives till its over , what you do, do is blade flurry killing spree to hit and aditional target with that amazing dps, also for arena/bgs it is ecential to use killing spree with only 1 or 2 targets (2 targets if u got bladeflurry) otherwise it's a waist! not enough burst, unfortunately with 1 or more targets it is kinda lame... This mainly goes 2 pvp'rs but will help you pve'rs,

This skill has become my new best friend!

After a re-spec (the 3.1 update) i pooled all the talent points into combat to open this puppy up, I'm still pretty new to the game (lvl 61 main), but the amount of times this has saved me in outland (on the road to 61) is pretty special.

Doing some of the early outland quests at 58 my aggro range was massive, so i'd pull all the time and get my silly self messed up...

As soon as I notice that there's more than 2 mobs on me, I pop Killing spree, after that's finished it's Evasion/Adrenalin Rush/Blade Flurry...

It's nice to see the rogue surrounded by 4 or 5 corpses :D

This little lot coupled with Savage Combat and Deadly Poison is a world of pain for johny badman ;)

P.S I'm aware that I selected the deadly poison vi (lvl 62) I can't yet use for my rogue...

Tip: If you use this in malygos while spinning around, it will brake the effect! And in phase2 if you got disc, dont try to use this if enemy is too far away or you will fall :P

I just picked up my level 70 rogue yesterday and I was very surprised by this abiliity. I'm dressed in season 1 and some outland greens (1300~ attack power) and at this level Killing Spree is INSANE! Using my trinket gives me 1500~ attack power. ( I use it before activating Killing Spree!)

Not bragging, just giving out numbers:
1) Fought an enhancement shaman with 7k health, died with cheap shot + killing spree.
2) Fought a 6k frost mage with shield up, died with garrote + killing spree.
3) Fought a destruction warlock with 11k health, died after cheap shot + killing spree.

It's seriously like an IWIN button.

But it's also fitting for roleplaying, ruthless assassin ripping his target to pieces in an instant!

I'd also like to add something about the comment made by Morthred:
- It triggers GCD, but after 1sec you can use Sinister Strike while "jumping"
I'm not sure if he's referring to using sinister strike after or during Killing Spree. Anyway, I have not managed to use Sinister Strike during Killing Spree though!

1. If you use this against an aerial opponent (example: Alystros of the Emerald Dragon Shrine, Dreadtalon of the Dragonblight), even if the target is at "ground level" to attack you, you will continuously teleport to the mob's height, attack, fall, teleport back up to its level, attack again, fall, etc.

2. This can be used to counter the Gravity Well of Grand Magus Telestra of the Nexus. The continuous teleportation will allow you to constantly reappear near her and allow you to attack, rather than being sent flying off and out of melee range. I will try this again in the future because I'm not sure if Killing Spree also prevents the damage from Gravity Well while the former is active (it looked like it did when I used it).
UPDATE: It does not prevent damage from Telestra's Gravity Well, but it's still one way to stick to her and keep the DPS up.

3. Despite the comments of some people that it sucks with multiple targets around and without Blade Flurry, this is still one helluva way to keep aggro from multiple mobs on your tank and off yourself if you combine it with Tricks of the Trade.

4. Despite playing a Combat rogue for almost 3 years, I only got this ability after I recently re-specced. Now, whenever I play that rogue and use this, I kick myself for not getting it earlier.

I find this ability frustrating for the number of places you cannot use it either because the system stops you (Kologarn) or it runs the risk of wiping the group (KT) or you are in danger of pulling adds (several bosses)

However it is awesome for a number of other fights:

Avoid Malygos' Vortex with it
Avoid Auriaya's Terrifying Screech
Escape abilities that lock you in place - Keristrazza's Crystal Chains and a similar ability with Hodir)
Not be effected by certain abilities - Flash freeze on Hodir

I'm taking a second to post on this because there seem to be some pretty major misconceptions about this talent. This is in my combat spec (it better be in yours). While it is, as some have noted, a fairly situational talent, it works wonders when it is available. This post will be split into PvE and PvP sections, just for clarity.

PvE
People have been bashing this talent because it is impossible or nearly impossible to use in several raid encounters, either because it is too dangerous (Thad, KT) or because the encounter setup prohibits it (Kolo). In encounters where it can be used, it is quite helpful.
Uses:
1. I usually try to blow this before my Tricks of the Trade timer expires on boss pulls, giving event he weakest tank sufficient initial agro
2. This is important. It can be timed for use with weapon and trinket procs. I find that I frequently have several major dps procs up at once when this skill is available (Mirror of truth, Pyrite Infuser, Grim Toll, Berserking). This gives it even greater utility, since you can use it to take full advantage of procs. This is especially true if you are not glyphed for the shortened cooldown, since waiting an extra 15-30 seconds for a trinket or two to proc probably wont limit the number of times you can use this in a single encounter (you'll use it twice in anything under a 4 min Patchwerk kill, take your time and make it count). If you are glyphed for a shortened cooldown, you probably want to use this whenever its available.
3. It is one more significant cooldown you can save for situations where you need a little extra damage (XT's heart phase or on bosses with soft enrages).

PvP
I tried a combat PvP spec for a while. While it had its advantages, I now use a Mut/Prep spec like most. For PvP, you almost always want to combine this with blade flurry, both to increase total damage and to ensure that at least one target will take significant damage (instead of wasting 1-2 hits each on 3 different targets).
1. Killing spree is great burst damage.
2. It will place your behind your opponent, preventing spell casting and eliminating dodge/block/parry for a few seconds.
3. In WG and Battlegrounds, this will confuse your opponent. Really, no one expects it.
4. Its been said before, but you CAN kill arial targets in world PvP. I personally like to take down people flying above raid summoning stones. The never expect to be killed mid air by a rogue. I easily do 15-18k (with my PvE gear and poisons) on a single cloth target.

This could be one of my favorite ability's, but the fact that you will end up jumping between targets, downright ruins this otherwise cool ability imo.
As people has mentioned above, this is because:
#1: You end up doing little damage if used on more than one enemy (or two if combined with "Blade Flurry")
#2: You run the risk of ending up far away from your original target, often causing unwanted aggro. Or that your original target nukes you while running back to him.
#3: In PvP situations, I very often end up doing damage to a random person who just happened to run by after I activated KS. Especially true if up against players with pets; I often end up following the pet instead if he sent that to attack another player.

This ability does however shine if used correctly, against a single (or two enemies standing close to each other, with Blade Flurry active) target.

So imho, they should change it so you'll keep attacking one target for 5 hits (or until dead, and then jump to a nearby target if within 10 yards).

I agree with you 130%. This is like Shadowstep on crack. I find so much use for it in both the PvE aspect of the game, and the PvP aspect as well.

With generic everyday Tank+Spank bosses, it keeps me behind the target, so as to not trigger myself on Grobb's slimes, and it keeps my dps output quite stable and high as so I'm not proven to be a hindrance upon the Raid. I've got to admit I do hit it in Cleaving Bosses, however it still keeps me behind the target, so it's an amazing PvE Rogue weapon to add in the Raider's arsenal.

Alterantively, in PvP, it gives the Rogue the necessary Burst DPS to down someone if they're alone in the BG/Arena. Right now as Fist/Dagger Combo(I'm thinking of going Sword/Sword or Sword/Mace) I'm doing roughly 2-3k, and the occasional 2.5-3.5k crit. With 5 hits of that, the only people usually left standing are Protection Warriors, Protection Paladins, Druid Bears, and that's about it. And even then the damage output if done on the same target for 5 times, doing roughly 2k(for the sake of argument), that is 10k damage(Before dimishing returns, I.E. Resilience). With Resilience I find myself still doing about 2k per hit(so it all works out xD).

In closing, I really love this skill. A lot more than I love my Mutilate build(Even though some Mut Rogues can completely trash me. However there's also the crappy Mut Rogues who make me cry when I'm at my keyboard). It's got amazing potential, and I hope the "New Generation" of the Rogue milks it as much as the "Old Generation" of Rogues.

Surprised I haven't seen this mentioned but this ability functions EXACTLY like bladestorm or beast within. You are CC immune while you are doing it and in a similar fashion to those abilities breaks roots and snares that are on you before you cast it. It is definitely an awesome offensive ability but there are certainly some defensive uses for the 2.5 second CC immunity and snare/root removal. Very versatile and cool ability.

Not that anyone would believe me but this ability was actually my idea that I submitted to WoW's Suggestion forums sometime during BC. The initial idea came from the first Prince of Persia game for the PS2 where Prince would use the Dagger of time to warp from enemy to enemy killing them instantly.

This spell is probably the best of the 3 you can choose between. As a lvl 65 rogue i can now down 5-6k hp within 5 secs. I see this as a huge advantage if you are killing rares, Quest mobs with extra hp and so on. You can also get the glyph which reduces its cooldown by 45 secs. I love this spell and it has saved my live a couple of hundred times.

Let's use this against a prot warrior (with a fair amount of block value) while its Shield Block, Glyph of Blocking and Shield Wall are active, and you will die faster than a Samurai who harakiri'd itself while you tickled the warri =)

- It does between 4 to 5k damage on a clothie.
This depends on your own weapon damage and the armor and resillience of the clothie, because I got 2 Relentless maces, and it most of the times does the 4-5k dmg on plates, while 7-12k on clothies (most of them are half Furious geared).

- It does crappy damage when hitting 2 or more targets
Absoluly true, this is really annoying sometimes, especially if the opponent got a pet, like Warlocks, Hunters and Unholy DK's do. It also goes a lot to Shaman's Totems, instead of the Shaman itself, so the damn totems just wast your most powerfull ability as a combat rogue.

- When hitting the same target you still jump between lots of positions,
This used to be true, but it changed (dunno in which patch). When you use this skill on a single target, it stays hitting them in the back, which is very usefull in PvP, because they can't dodge, parry, block or counterattack it (Retaliation).

This is so true, I really love the "WTF?" whispers when they die because of some fast burst. xD Especially in Duels (mostly against clothies) it is just so nice to see them think: "OMFG, did I just get beated by a rogue within a few seconds. And WTF was that OP attack that hitted me for more than half my HP? :S"
Best one I've got so far was when a Druid managed to put a Faerie Fire on me to prevent me from Stealth, and I still beated the crap out of him, thanks to a nice timed Kick (which not only interrupts, but also silence them as a Combat Rogue), followed by Killing Spree to finish him off. xD

Does the crit chance from Deadly Momentum apply to all 5 (10 really) hits of Killing Spree?

Because if so, I just found a great way to kill healers after downing a dps in BGs/Arenas.

Currently, during 4.0.6ish patch I dare to say it lost its "epicness" role, its "WTF, this is insane" charm has faded.
Crogues use it on every cd as soon as possible,
'cos lets face it, not only it makes us do more dmg while looking cool at it, but due to Restless Blades talent it has to be used as soon as possible in order to be used as often as possible.
Its usage can vary from a situational PvP to every-now-and-then PvE.
Killing Spree takes you many places. Can go wrong on so many ways if used by Nobrainer.

If two combat rogues duel, and use KS at the same time, what you think it will happen? Its like playing Frog jumps or something similar...only backwards.

Fan of Knives can be used twice while Killing Spree is active.
Apart from the awesome 20% damage boost, this is the only way to spend energy and avoid the cap during the 2.5 second Killing Spree.

A Killing Spree during Deep Insight can also be used to maximize dps if the timing doesn't adversely affect the benefit from

Fun fact: you can use KS while being under paladins' BoP. You'll jump around, but won't deal damage.

Annoyingly, KS is extremely situational in Firelands — you can't mindlessly mash it on most fights, or it will be a , or .

Yes. KS is dangerous. It can teleport you to absolutely random place with all that gigantique hitboxes modern bosses have. It can trap you when you should be running somewhere (you can quickly click-cancel the KS buff however!). It can teleport you into the cleave zone, if boss loves to rotate. I'm usually holding "back" button while KSing, to constantly back off from the danger zone. It can teleport you to the adds (and sometimes in a glitchy way).

However, it's still usable, just requires some thinking. On Shannox, watch for the traps and hounds. Almost safe on Beth. On Ryo it can sometimes teleport you in random location or trap in the fire. On Baleroc it can teleport you too near to the Crystal, however it shouldn't be the case if people stay close to it. And crystal shouldn't appear in the center of the hitbox anyway. There are numerous reports of stupid situations with KS on Alysrazor, both on the ground and in the air, so i didn't even try. On Staghelm it's pretty obviously dangerous. On Ragnaros it's dangerous, but actually works pretty good (try using it on first and last phases), except for jumping between seeds — it's dangerously close to lava pool, yet it never killed me there.

As of 4.3, Fan of Knives can not be used during Killing Spree. Whether this is a bug or a "stealth fix" is not known yet. There is no mention of such a change in patch notes. I opened a ticket for this and GM said it could indeed be a bug and he'll forward it to the testing team. Yay for energy capping during Killing Spree.

I've been testing this skill with my rogue for a quite long time and here is some interesting facts: (As of 5.0.5)

1- You continue to Auto-attack while using killing spree! therefore it's best to be used when S&D up. (Affected by the 50% damage increase)

2- Mastery Procs from main-hand attacks from killing spree (And auto-attack of course) for a 180% Main-hand damage! (With Deep Insight 234%!)

3- It stacks multiplicatively with Combat Insight! so with Deep Insight it will deal ~ 95% More damage!

4- You are not immune from damage while using it.

5- You will always hit the target from behind! (therefore all of your attacks will not be dodged/parried in PvP scenario)

6- You can't use it while disarmed (duh!)

7- Shadow Blades works well with it (For 195% Unmitigated both weapon damage!)

8- Combined with Blade Flurry, it's a deadly combo.

9- Don't forget (So Off-hand damage is close to main-hand damage (~87.5%))

So far the best way to maximize the damage on a PvP target is to take Prey on the Weak + Stack Deep Insight + S&D up + Trinkets/professions enhancements/potions + Shadow Blades + Adrenaline Rush + Kidney/Cheap shot
And watch the numbers fly!

Ok, I have put in bug report after bug report to no avail, so will share here. Do not use Killing Spree when against a wall, when there is a cliff behind the enemy, or in tight places. It has a chance to drop you out of the map (you will see your rogue fall through the floor or ground, in the case of the cliff behind the enemy, pretty sure you can already imagine what will happen there. I can repeat this bug/glitch with 98% success(tested in the vermin caves behind Halfhill). After falling through the scenery I get booted from the game and if combat is still going on am unable to log back in until combat is either over or broken, and then when logging in you may end up in a completely different zone than you were in(was surprised when on my 8th "test" I ended up in Stranglethorn where I had been doing some fishing and loremaster quests earlier in the day). I hope my insight helps, if anyone has heard anything back from Blizz, please feel free to share.

According to MMO-Champion, Killing Spree will be changed in 5.4
Instead of jumping from enemy to enemy, it will focus your main target and do all 7 attacks on him.

As per the patch notes for 5.4:

"Killing Spree targeting has been changed. If Blade Flurry is not active, Killing Spree will now hit the Rogue's target 7 times or pick the closest eligible target if none had been selected. Killing Spree will continue to work as it has while Blade Flurry is active." (emphasis my own).

This will be helpful in encounters where multiple targets are in close proximity but you only want to do damage to one of them (i.e. the trash before Lei Shen where one has a shield and one does not).

Can still shoot you through the ground in 5.4. Trying to down normal galakras, I use it with blade fury active on the flameslingers (in second wave of adds) and I got launched through the floor. Be careful when using this on non-flat surfaces!

With the new 4-set bonus for combat rogues Item - Rogue WoD PvP Combat 4P Bonus my tooltip changed from 'attacking 7 times over 3 sec' to 'attacking 7 times over 4 sec'.
At first I thought this meant a DPS loss so I tested it out with an off-set item.
My recount counted (excluding multistrikes) 9 killing spree attacks with the 4-set bonus and 7 without, making up for the extra second. (1 attack every 0,5 seconds = 2 attacks per second more)

TL;DR
tooltip only updates the extra second, not the extra attacks -> it's worth to take the 4-set bonus, not only for the extra second of CC-immunity, but for the damage increase aswell.
