Demon's Bite: Quickly attack for 260% Physical damage. Generates 20 - 30 Fury. This will be your primary ability and way to generate Fury.

Chaos Strike: Costs 40 Fury. Slice your target for (275% + 440%) Chaos damage. Critical strikes refund 20 Fury. This is the main ability you will use to spend Fury, until more abilities are unlocked.

Fel Rush: Rush forward, incinerating anything in your path for (294% of Attack power) Chaos damage. Good for quickly getting to a mob.

Spectral Sight: Allows you to see enemies and treasures through physical barriers, as well as enemies that are stealthed and invisible. Lasts 10 sec. Attacking or taking damage disrupts the sight.

Double Jump: Provides additional mobility.

Glide: Reduces your falling speed. You can activate this ability with the jump key while falling. Use with Double Jump to reach places that would normally be out of reach.

Mastery: Demonic Presence: Havoc Mastery, increases Chaos damage and runspeed.

Shattered Souls: Killing an enemy sometimes creates a Soul Fragment that is consumed when you approach it, healing you for 25% of maximum health. If the Soul Fragment came from a Demon, you will deal 20% increased damage for 15 sec.

SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT STARTING AREA SPOILED FOR YOU AS A DEMON HUNTER!
There, with that disclaimer out of the way, I have watched several videos of the starting area for Demon Hunters and it seems that in order to have your full blue/purple (if it get upgraded) gear from the starting area there are various chests, and silver star/dragon rare mobs you should consider cilling in order to get the most out of the starting areas of mardun and the Vault, however, I have to date not seen anyone post a video or guide as to where these are, if someone reading this that has beta could maybe post a video or a guide for this that would be awesome, I wanted to post this somewhere and this seemed like the right place for it, however if blizzard doesn't want these spoilers posted I can understand that, however it seems that quest rewards are ok, so the drops from chests and rare mobs should be OK ground as well right? Anyway, I just had this idea rolling around in my head and seeing as I have neither a decent enough video card nor enough space on my hard drive for video upload, and I don't even have beta so I couldn't do anything anyway, but with legion right around the corner I thought I would post this in the hopes that someone would put a guide out for these parts of the starting area that I feel might make it so that people that want to get everything they can from the starting area and don't know where everything is a bit easier to find the answers they are looking for, thanks in advance to the person or persons that post a response too this later!

BTW Spectral Sight makes it easy to find nearby chests. They will have a purple tint, and you can see them thru walls!

Adding a map for the chest/rare boss locations would be a great addition to this post, I made a quick mock up that can be found here.

If you haven't already, get yourselves Handy Notes and its extention Legion Treasures, it tracks the DH starting zone rares and items as well.

You can get a permanent Elixir-like item off a rare (or chest), that gives 100 agility and stamina, with cooldowns and duration the same as Oralius Crystal from the Garrison Tavern.
You also get a 28-slot bag off treasures around.

Any chance we can get a breakdown of differences in the story, and if it really affects anything? Does sacrificing yourself make the DH more benevolent? Do interactions change if you pick Kayn vs Altruis? Or is this all a "It looks like you have a choice, but to keep the canon together, you get this choice" during later patches?

There is another chest inside a small cave, entrance at 23.3, 54.1

It contained a Legion Healthstone and a few Fel Crystal Fragments.

series of quest are locate on Broken Isles , how do you get there?

I missed the Inquisitor's Menacing Eye and the Vile Stalkerskin Pouch. Is there really no way to get those after leaving the zone? As far as I know, once Legion launches, Demon Hunters will return to Mardum to establish the Class Order Hall. Will I be able to get these items then?

Note that Maiev takes away your Illidari Warglaive and replaces them with Fel-Etched Glaive so if you want to keep a physical set of the starter warglaives, buy them from the provisioner Falara Nightsong in the prison.

Don't make the mistake I did on my second demon hunter and buy them in Mardum, because Maiev steals them from your bags! Perfectly logical for a jailer to do of course, but very annoying when I discovered it later.

so I'm at the point between choosing Altruis or Cayn...but missed the ring from Nefarious and the 28 slot bag..can I still go back and 2115get them?

I am already at the Vault of the Wardens, is there a way back from here to look for the rare items listed as being in Mardum, or have i gone too far already?

One of my secret treasures got upgraded to Epic quality without any popups; iLvL 690 instead of the default iLvL680. Came here to see if I'd found them all and only then realised they were all supposed to be Rare quality.

I know this is late and all, but a couple of the Vengeance quest reward abilities are incorrect. Stop Guldan actually gets you Demon Spikes. Immolanth actually gets you Fiery Brand. Immolation is learned as soon as you learn Vengeance, replacing your Eye Beam.

Creating a new DH, I realized the unique stuff is relatively well known on Mardum and in the Vault, but what's a bit harder to find is where all the Small Treasure Chests are containing Legion Healthstone and Fel Crystal Fragments. I compiled them chronologically, going clockwise eastern Mardum and in the Vault's second floor. On Mardum some chests contain one item, some both, so compiling these was actually a bit tricky, Mind that Handynotes is missing two on Mardum (Spectral Sight cave and the Soul Engine).

Mind that it's for completion purposes. A proper go through of the two starting zones requires perhaps two to four Crystals depending on your speed, and no Healthstone. You can keep the latter for later though.

Mardum (13 total)

Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 23.6, 54.2.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 34, 70. Crystals only.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 41.6, 48.6.
Small Treasure Chest: behind the summon portal at 41.7, 37.6. Healthstones only.
Small Treasure Chest: on some fel rocks at 51.2, 50.8. Crystals only.
Small Treasure Chest: Spectral Sight cave at 63.8, 53.9. Healthstones only.
Small Treasure Chest: in a cave in front of the Soul Engine. Random spawn in either cave around 66, 26.
Small Treasure Chest: Soul Engine's (63.2, 22.3) top floor. There's stairs in the back, you run right into it after going up.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 77, 41.4.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 80.3, 48.2, rather large one. Healthstones only.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 78.3, 50.
Small Treasure Chest: cave entrance at 70.8, 54.1, quite far off the HandyNotes spot. Healthstones only.
Small Treasure Chest: center of the eastern part, on a ledge (don't Fel Rush) at 69.7, 42.3. Crystals only.

Vault (8 total) (just one item each, 50:50 Healthstone/Crystal)

Small Treasure Chest: Illidari Ward (first floor); 58.8, 35.5. Just after the first quests, on the right.
Small Treasure Chest: Illidari Ward (first floor); 47.5, 54.9. When running back after defeating Crusher and Sledge, on the left.
Small Treasure Chest: Vault of the Wardens (second floor); 32.5, 48.5. After flying up, behind you.
Small Treasure Chest: Vault of the Wardens (second floor); 41.7, 32.9. Towards Immolanth, chamber left of you.
Small Treasure Chest: Vault of the Wardens (second floor); 57.0, 40.5. Towards Glazer, chamber left of you.
Small Treasure Chest: Vault of the Wardens (second floor); 41.8, 63.6. Towards Ash'golm, if you take the shortcut from Glazer you'll see it ahead of you.
Small Treasure Chest: The Warden's Court (third floor); 24.5, 10.6. Near the wall after the elevator ride.
Small Treasure Chest: The Warden's Court (third floor); 23.5, 81.7. In the corner just before the last room.
