Looking to get this transmog set, but I'd like to know if anyone has an idea about a replacement set of gloves (One without the fingers showing).

Also, a good cloak for this set is Cape of the Black Baron
A good Helm is Darkguard Face Mask
And a good dagger is Blade of the New Moon (You can hold two of these at the same time)

This set (except for the belt) uses the Black variant of the "B1 Leather" artwork. It forms a complete seven-piece set of the art.

There actually isn't any B1 Leather artwork for a belt, which is unusual. Usually if set art is missing it's for the headpiece and shoulders. Ideally a belt would probably look like the top of the pants, but nothing like that exists. The one used for this set uses unrelated art. If you look perhaps you can find one you like better.

There are three different styles of headpiece that use the same artwork and colour: 舒適的皮帽 and 夜間軟帽 use the standard brimmed hat model (the look of the artwork suggests it was intended for this style), 豪華之冠 is a plain helmet and 翼盔 is, well, self-explanatory.

There are set shoulders, 斥候肩甲, but as they're common quality they're currently unavailable for transmog. However 掩飾肩墊 are identical. The shoulders are also available in another model: 豪華護肩, which resembles a two-tier version of the set shoulders.

There are six sets of shorter gloves (all quest reward only) that use only the hand section of the artwork. Combined with the bracers they actually look identical to the full-length gloves anyway. In fact there isn't any set art for the arm section of the gloves. The gloves are: 毛茸茸手套, 渙散怒氣手套, 燃燒瓶投擲手套, 莫拉的手套, 泥居魚手套, 植園之主手套.

健步長靴 are a slightly chunkier version of the boots.

時髦黑襯衣 goes very well with this set, to fill in the bare arms between the chest and bracers. It's only available from an Alliance vendor unfortunately but should be easy to find someone to put one in the neutral AH for you.
I quite dislike the set belt, it seems more brown than black to me and the studs and buckle don't look right with the other gear to my eyes. I already had 暮光刺客腰帶 and that matches very nicely I think. I made a profile to demonstrate here wowhead.com/profile=34532364. I should mention though that the the model viewer gives the top half of the legs as a dark green, they're not, they're black.

For the record, pieces of all four colors drop from quests in Darkshore, with the black and purple variants the most common, and the brown and yellow less so. I personally got the complete black set, minus shoulders and waist, entirely from questing in Darkshore. 眾劍套卡 got the shoulders, 掩飾肩墊, and the AH for the waist. 黑皮腰帶 will work, not an exact match, a little lighter than the rest of the set, until you can get 斥候腰帶 or 歹徒繫腰.

For those (like Skunkport) who don't like the set belt, Dusky Belt looks nice with this. It's worn by Adarrah (with set tunic & boots plus Nightscape Pants). And also by the SI:7 agents in Pandaria (Rell, Sully, & Amber). Likewise, if you find the set Scouting Trousers a little harsh (as I do), Dusky Leather Leggings also look nice here.

Speaking of these three SI:7 agents and leggings, does anyone know which pants they're wearing at the above links? (they would also look good with this set, but haven't been able to identify them yet).

For those who dont want to have a hat cowl or hood, or anything of that sort, i'd suggest using the since its just a simple band that crosses your eyes, its black so it ''matches'' the set well in my opinion.

Just some input for gloves/bracers, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on the real scouting gloves you don't need bracers, but morra's gloves + chitonous bracers look exactly the same as scouting gloves.

For cloak, in addition to Ironscale War Cloak mentioned below, Silver-Thread Cloak looks pretty nice with this set (and is identical to Dark Cloak of the Marsh, which you can get as a quest reward in Slave Pens while farming Rokmar for the Ironscale Cloak).

Morra's gloves have completely different model, so do Planter's gloves.
They looks like Scouting gloves only because of bracers, which almost match the wrist part of Scouting gloves, but shorter, and cling more tightly to your wrist. (Means, if you don't have matching bracers with one of these gloves, the set will be completely ruined.)

I never really liked the spikes on the belts in this set so I replaced the belt with 羽翔腰帶. It's a brown belt but it has a nice looking huge black belt buckle shaped like a wolf's head. The belt buckle fits so nicely that I happily neglect the "wrong" color of the belt.

While the statistics of this armor set is indeed good, I always HATE it's appearance overall, it's just too off-putting for me personally, whenever I see leather armor I am always afraid that it might be Scouting Garb in appearance. Kinda weird...

I find the 日翼面罩 a lot better looking than any of the other masks for this set. Just my opinion but i'm sure many would agree.

So I started looking for ways to complete this set on a starter edition account. Unfortunately, it doesn't look really possible. However, some suggestions. (Note: I did this on a horde rogue, so some of these may not have alliance alternatives, or there may be better alternatives for alliance I missed.)

First, start with 藍色獸皮外衣, 活力充沛護腕, 燃燒瓶投擲手套, 快錢護腿, and 庇護軟靴 as mentioned in the top post on the page.

Belts
- 支柱束腰 is farmable from 大頭目加爾高西 in Loch Modan. It is a very low drop rate from a rare spawn, so it will take a lot of luck. And it's alliance territory, so hordies will have even more trouble (feral druid with prowl or rogue with stealth are probably your best bets here).
- 巨力腰帶 doesn't match as well, but can be farmed from the random dungeon satchel. It's probably your best bet for an ok-looking match.
- 歹徒繫腰 and 斥候腰帶, listed up top, are the "official" matching belt model, but are rare drops and don't match that well.
- 地精防護腰帶 requires engineering 215, so you can only get it if you pay for a sub long enough to level your engineering past the starter edition cap of 100. But it looks better than the satchel belt.
- 遠行者腰帶 is red, but available from a quest in Ghostlands. Perhaps it could be combined with red shoulders or something to make a black with red set.

Shoulders
- 堅硬的護肩 has the same artwork, but is a reddish-brown color. It sort of matches the red belt above.
- 掩飾肩墊 is a nice match, but will require you to be a 125 scribe or buy them off the AH, either of which requires a sub.
- 勘察員的肩墊 are brown, and might be an ok match if you got a brown belt, but they're a pretty rare drop.
- 森林皮披肩 are also brown and a rare drop. They also have a green border that looks fine on my goblin (and probably orcs), but likely would be weird on other races.
- 影牙肩墊, 戈瑞特的遺物 and 軟綿綿肩衛 are available from quests, and are green and brown. Again they really only match my green skin, not the set as a whole, but are better than nothing.

Head
- The obvious solution here is to hide your helm. Easy to farm and 100% free!
- 邪惡盜賊面具 (red) and 惡兆黑面具 (black) are rogue-only facemasks, but it seems you probably have to be level 90+ to earn the tokens to buy them. Could be worth looking into though -- maybe a high-level friend can help you farm them.

Cloak
- Again, you can just hide your cloak.
- 斥探披風 is the "correct" cloak, but the black isn't right, and it's got a red border. It could still match with a reddish set though. That one is a rare drop, but you can get 兄弟會斗篷 from 『船長』餅乾 in Deadmines. 雕花皮甲披風 and 蛇鱗披風 can be made with 60 and 90 leatherworking, respectively. Also requires skinning for the mats.
- 黑色幼龍披風 looks like the scouting cloak and kin, but has two "tails" instead of being a solid piece. It requires 100 leatherworking, but also 120 skinning for the 黑色幼龍披風. It's possible a worgen with 剝皮者 and a skinning knife could do it, but I don't know if the racial and tool bonuses stack these days.
- 旌旗披風 is a decent starting cloak if you're a goblin, but the black is wrong and it has brown trim. It's from a quest on the Lost Isles so you'll have to get it before you leave.
- 堤薇恩的披風 is black with red trim, but the black is too green. It's from a quest in Silverpine Forest though, so not hard to get.

Daggers
- 黑色長牙 is a high-detail, cool-looking dagger, but is a very rare drop.
- 哨兵之刃 is a decent match, but is alliance-only.
- 惡作劇之刃 is a reddish blade, and is horde-only.
- 邪惡匕首 is a red dagger that drops from 藍道夫‧摩洛克 in the Stockade.

Fist Weapons
- Nothing unless you got 打鬥者鋒利之爪 before 6.0 hit, and they're not that great of a match. (I'm sad, because I didn't realize they would get perma-removed and never picked them up. Boo-hoo.)

1H Swords
- drops from 赫利克斯‧碎輪者 in Deadmines. It's a bit light, and has a red gem in the hilt, but it's hard getting perfect color matches with weapons.
- 雷霆的天火鑽石 is horde-only, from a quest in Ghostlands.
- 暗影之牙 is an ultra-rare drop from Shadowfang Keep, but is actually a decent weapon at these levels and has a reddish tint to the hilt.

1H Axes
- 鏽斧 is a goblin-only axe from a quest on the Lost Isles.
- 冷酷之爪 is a rare drop from Blackfathom Deeps and is more primal looking.
- 執行者黑斧 is an ultra-rare drop from Blackfathom Deeps. Wowhead hasn't seen one since whenever their last data reset was (probably WoD launch).

1H Maces
- 黑暗深淵之錘 is a snake-head mace from a quest in Blackfathom Deeps.
- 阿古斯之拳 is a brownish mace, alliance-only, from a quest on Bloodmyst Isle.
- 巴隆的權杖 is red-colored, drops from 艾胥柏利男爵 in Shadowfang Keep.
- 擊碎者 is a grey-colored hammer, but it's a rare drop.

There are also some semi-matches in 2H department, but I'm getting lazy. :)

So I decided to use this set for my Orc Monk, and here is the set I came up with that is appropriate for low level and is also gold efficient.

掩飾肩墊 - Reward from 眾劍套卡 (Darkmoon Faire Inscription quest or 590g on AH)
藍色獸皮外衣 - Reward from 潛入黑幕 (Azshara)
斥候手套 - On AH for 278g
暗色皮帶 - Created by Leatherworking or on AH for 28g
快錢護腿 - Reward from 處理貨品 (Azshara)
庇護軟靴 - Reward from 賽倫收容所 (Azshara)

The swords I want to use are 魔焰長劍 or 克羅斬刃. A nice alternative if you don't want something too flashy to suit the simple appearance of the mog is 惡魔砍刀.

The alliance alternatives of the quests are from darkshore, as 削減人力, 精神恍惚的探勘家 and 暮光之錘 (or 滅絕影皮 in Redridge Mountains).

IMO, the only belt worth discussing for this set is 暗影深淵腰帶. It's a BC-era recipe (and, in my experience, a rare one), but the mats aren't *too* terrible to farm, provided you can find someone to craft it.

With patch 10.0.5 white items are now transmoggable, and 黑鐵皮衣 fits right into the Scouting Garb set as a sleeveless chestpiece option.
