Purchasing this requires Exalted with the Rajani faction (a new faction in 8.3), and costs 50k gold (and doesn't change at exalted unfortunately... :( (thanks for confirmation Drewf!) ).

It is a reusable version of the BFA augment rune ( 戰鬥傷痕增強符文 )

Note, like the previous iterations of this item, it will likely no longer work for higher level characters in the next expansion (shadowlands)... something that I never understood why :(
(edit: yes... the reusable flasks always seem to work later on... the super expensive reusable runes, like this, never do)

Do note that like past permanent augment runes (強力增強符文, 光鑄增強符文) this will likely be nerfed to not work in Shadowlands for max level characters (Level 60 after the level squish).

重製的魔能聚焦器 (Legion) : Requires Revered rep with a newly introduced faction 軍團之殞部隊 in Patch 7.2.

雷鑄增強符文 (BfA) : Requires EXALTED rep with a newly introduced faction 萊加尼 in Patch 8.3.

Good Luck getting this on multiple toons, as the not so alt-friendly trend continues despite they promising to make things easier for alts.....

For 50k, I can just buy stacks and stacks of the normal runes. Those, I can share on my alts and then sell to other players when I don't need them any more.

I can't imagine even the most dedicated raiders needing more thank 50k worth of those runes on one character.

The average price for 戰鬥傷痕增強符文 is about 250g each. Depending on your realm's economy, you can have about 200 runes for the same price as this one.

You can basically use this rune for any content and always have the buff on you, unlike the regular augment runes that you lose upon death (or time). This can come very handy for raid progression and M+ where you know there's a big chance that you'll die multiple time in the same night.

Also worth noting that if you buy this, you can simply sell the other augment runes at the AH, refunding some of your gold. 50k may seem like a lot, but it is really a good deal if you expect to push difficult content for the next couple of months.

Do not buy this for 50,000 gold unless you:

a) Have the gold to spend.
b) Don't mind Blizzard not allowing Level 60 Shadowlands players to use it in Patch 9 and beyond.
c) Are not paying for it.

They will pull a fast one on you like they did with the Legion Augment Rune going into Battle for Azeroth, except that one was 20,000 gold. This one is 50,000 gold.

I've made this comment on one of the other runes as well so will make a it bit shorter for this one: principally reusable runes have a use-break-even-point (UBEP), which is essentially a deviation of the economical break-even point: the amount of times you have to use the permanent rune for it to be as expensive as buying 戰鬥傷痕增強符文 for every time you use the permanent rune. Basically it's 雷鑄增強符文 price/戰鬥傷痕增強符文 price.

The values aren't static, however:

雷鑄增強符文 price = 50000 - gold from sold 戰鬥傷痕增強符文.
戰鬥傷痕增強符文 price = highly volatile per server.

If you sell more of 戰鬥傷痕增強符文 than the value of the reusable rune you're starting to make a net profit. Essentially looking at the above, you'd want to get the reusable rune as soon as possible and start selling single use runes in order to either break even or make a profit. If you buy it later into the expansion, it's going to be harder to make some gold back.

Mind that there are non-quantifiable benefits from the permanent rune compared to single use, making it appealing regardless: no varying supply and a constant availability for anything. We can theorize endlessly about the cost formula, yet you can use it anywhere, everywhere, every time, and that's a convenience in itself.

Let me add to this that formulas and convenience aside, I do think anything above 10k or so is too much for a relatively small buff. Point is that at a much smaller price, getting the gold back is considerably reasonable. At 50k, you'd probably have to sell at least 200(!) regular runes (which is at a average price of 250g) to get all the gold back. At that point quantity becomes an issue.

This item gives you the animation of the 戰鬥傷痕增強符文. Hopefully this will be updated to something featuring electricity or lightning as it has nothing to do with blood.

This is the buff it gives: 增加的戰鬥傷痕 So, it looks like it's just reusing the buff from the Battle-Scarred Augment Rune

Note that Zhang Ku, the Rajani Quartermaster, is not actually a member of the Rajani faction. You do not receive the 20% reputation discount for being exalted, and will pay the full 50,000 gold price.

If you don't want to be hassled with having to reapply it every time you die, you can just macro it to something you use regularly. For me, that was easiest with arcane intellect. This is the macro I use:

#showtooltip arcane intellect
/use Lightning-Forged Augment Rune
/use arcane intellect

Just replace arcane intellect with whichever spell you prefer. Enjoy.

50,000 gold is really steep for something that's more than likely going to get nerfed with the release of Shadowlands. If Blizzard is going to continue giving us one of these every expansion and nerfing it with the next, they need to look at lowering the price or making them BoA so they don't wind up becoming an expensive waste of a bag slot a few months after you buy it.

Kind of surprised at all the ppl complaining about the 50k part of this. Yeah 50k is a bit ridiculous but I'm amazed it's gated behind exalted rep with an absolute garbage faction grind.

Usually I get this in every xpac it's available on all my alts, not this one. By the time I get to it this terrible xpac will be over.

If you think about buying it before the expansion...don't.
Currently in Beta this is only usable at Level 50 or below.

I was quite disappointed.

EDIT: Has been hotfixed to work until and including Level 59.

I'm still using WOD Draenic Flasks, at level 50 they give 18 Agl, Str, Int, or 26 Stam for an hour and the herbs are grown in the Garrison. Unlimited supply.

Big F*** Y** to Blizzard.
Wasted 6x 50k on alt to have this available for Shadowlands and it turns itself in grey 100g garbage after reaching level 60.
Useless money sink, not worth any investment.

Did I miss something? It seems as though there was no communication made that this item would become redundant at level 60 ...
I don't recall seeing anything saying this before the expansion release. Was there anything buried in patch notes etc.?
Yet what do we do notice now in Shadowlands .... that there has been a tool-tip addition added to the item that wasn't there originally:
"(Requires level 59 or below)"

If this is the case, why aren't people raging at the fact they spent 50,000 gold for a redundant item? I know I feel very gutted and ripped-off.

Also, don't people find it weird that the consumable runes identical to this item can still be used at level 60 ...

Has anyone successfully rallied a GM for a refund based on this?
I've been playing ping-pong with Blizzard on the matter and feel we should rally as players for a reversal of the nerf or a refund.

I encourage others to raise tickets in game and lets see if we can get this sorted out for the better.

As of 23 December 2020-

I am not sure if this is a mistake or not, but I have been using 重製的魔能聚焦器.
Note: It does not count as a rune, but an Elixir for those of us who are not alchemists.

It still works in Shadodwlands and it is +2 more to a stat than the seemingly way too expensive 雷鑄增強符文.

It is available from Warmage Kath'leen for 7500 Nethershards and requires Revered with Armies of Legionfall.

Hope this post will save someone some gold.

one of these days, the community is going to get tired of getting slapped in the face by the development team thinking nerfing stuff like this is a good idea. Why is it still so flippin' expensive if you can't use it beyond 59 when the game literally powerlevels you to 60? Hell, Why even keep it in the game if that's going to be the case? I would like to know who comes up with these "ideas" at Blizzard and put bear traps around their house at night.
