You need to have this equipped for scourgestones to drop from undead. The scourgestones are turned in for Argent Dawn rep.

Unfortunately, it fills up a trinket slot without giving any other benefit. However, it can be replaced with either the Seal of the Dawn (for melee, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13209) or the Rune of the Dawn (for casters, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=19812) which also give bonuses against undead.

You get this commission at either Bulwark (Horde) or Chilliwind Camp (Alliance).

Horde should talk to Argent Officer Garush
Alliance should talk to Argent Officer Pureheart

You need to be level 50 in order to get it.

Also, you can drop it until you are ready to use it if its clogging up your bang space by talking to the little gnome next to Argent Officer Pureheart.

I've found that you must re-equip it each time you log out or die. It doesn't seem to matter which slot it's in. Remove it from your trinket slot and drop it into a bag, then re-equip again and you're good to go!

Also, unless it's been changed in some semi-recent patch, you cannot acquire this trinket until lvl 50.

all you have to do is talk to Argent Officer Garush on the north side of the road in Bulwark. hes gives you the trinket.

When I equip the trinket, my chat box fills up with the words "does not found in container". I assume this is an addon bug - but I have so many it would take me hours and hours to figure out which one is causing the issue.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can you offer any advice?

I wore this yesterday while participating in the invasion for WotLK. I ended up with over 150 invader stones. No one else in the group was wearing theirs so I got them all to myself. The shadow's drop the corrupted stones as well.

Out of interest, you can get a much better replacement for this by doing a simple quest chain. Did it myself at 70, should be easy for most lvl 70's. The extra damage vs undead helps a lot while grinding to exaulted status! :)

Then equipped it killed 10 undead, got 6 drops.
Then un-equipped it and put in in my inventory, killed 10 undead, got zero drops.

Either I'm plain unlucky, or the previous post is not (longer) valid.

Not entirely sure how, but, my paladin is indefinitely affected by the argent dawn commission buff. I'm not sure if it relates to swapping around argent dawn relics or something, all I know is, I've had the buff since around patch 3.0 but I haven't worn the actual commissions in a very long time. But I still get scourgestones in the plaguelands.

Hmmm....Tried to get the commission for my 67 Ally Mage from some of the places suggested....Chillwind Camp, where I got it for my alts previously, no longer offers it. As suggested went to Bulwark. Talked to Hasana, all she would say was "Accept a commission with the Argent Dawn today", but didn't say how to do that. As suggested went around to the front of the tent next to Hasana to speak to Garush and while trying to read the script was promptly killed by horde elites (3 times).

As suggested went to Light's Hope Chapel and spoke to Breechlock. She told me the same thing as Hasana. I am neutal with Argent Dawn and am still trying to figure out how to get the damn thing....

Just got my reputation from Neutral to Revered just by doing the questline starting by Fiona. She's near the bridge between Eastern Plaguelands and Western Plaguelands. Once she gives a quest to seek someone out near Lights Hope Chapel take it and go seek him out.

He gives a quest to go into the crypts behind the chapel and once you complete you gain around 20.000 rep!

I then sought out the quartermaster, but she didn't sell the trinket. I have yet to travel and find an officer so I can confirm they give it according to the comments above!

It is still available but only if u had one previously. Had destroyed the one in my bank (GM said it was useless) and got another from the little guy today at Chillwind. U don't need it to do the quests or farm rep. Got Exalted with Argent Dawn without it. Just remember that the fellow in the graveyard behind Light's Hope gives REPEATABLE quests. u can keep doing them til exalted. I did. Hope this helps.

The Fiona's caravan questline involves killing a mob inside the crypts, the actual kill gets you to revered instantly. Nice bit to know ;)

You no longer can get Argent Dawn rep by collecting scourgestones, etc... rep is gained by doing Fiona's quests (I'll tie Wowhead reference link here)..... then at Revered, can only get rep from two quests at Light's Hope Chapel (Lord Raymond George in the rear by the graveyard behind the chapel)... one quest (Aberrations of Bone) in Scholomance and one quest (Annals of the Silver Hand) in Stratholme. Each quest is worth at least 2,000 rep, but I was getting 2,400 rep..... not sure if that had to do with having the Argent Commission or not.

Nice thing is.... these quests are repeatable multiple times per day! Have already done annals twice today and am going to see if I can finish out exhalted with it... only need to do 3 more times. Will edit the specifics of this post as I head back to the locations, link the quests etc...

No longer has the cool "salute" and light effect (seen in the screenshot) when equipping it.
The "buff" icon from the trinket also no longer appears (I was hoping it would, even if scourgestones no longer exist).

I still like having it though :)

You are still able to farm 能量消散的爪牙天譴石 , 能量消散的侵略者天譴石, 能量消散的墮落者天譴石 with your 銀色黎明委任徽章 , 黎明聖印 or 黎明符文 .

For 能量消散的爪牙天譴石 , farm the mobs in Corin's Crossing.
For 能量消散的侵略者天譴石 , farm the mobs in the Fungal Vale.
For 能量消散的墮落者天譴石 , you can either farm the old scourge rares in the Eastern Plaguelands or go Startholme, every Undead boss (Except for the Scarlet ones) drop one Scourgestone.

I was able to obtain this item from Argent Quartermaster Hasana in Tirisfal Glades as Horde at the small camp to the east, "The Bulwark".

She resides behind the purple tent with the orc inside, at the northern most side of the whole camp.

If you came here to get Argent Dawn rep, this item isn't available. However, if you follow Fiona's caravan and get the quest "Boys will be Boys" that takes you to Light's Hope Chapel, there's a single quest you can do there that will give you Revered rep. It's Argent Call: Trial of the Crypt.

Having previously owned one of these back in the day, I was able to re-acquire one by speaking to Argent Quartermaster Hasana (Horde) at The Bulwark in Tirisfal Glades ( 83.30, 68.30) . She is stood behind Argent Officer Garush's purple tent.

Once you complete 驚懼城塞的結界, you'll no longer need to have this equipped to receive Scourgestones in Memory of Scholomance, Stratholme or Naxxramas.
Any character on your account will automatically receive 強化銀色黎明委任徽章 upon zoning into either instance.

EDIT: Blizzard recently hotfixed out the option to manually enable/disable the buff. This should hopefully fix the problem some people have with it not being enabled automatically.

To anyone who doesn't have it on an alt and was trying to frustratingly figure out how to get one, after doing the quest chain to unlock Old Scholo from Eva Sharkoff ( You will need the toy, 卡斯迪諾夫的恐懼之袋 at this point, if you don't find a friend or pay someone who has it for the convenience of not having to farm a rare spawn in heroic only of the MoP version of Scholo.
After you go on a treasure hunt to gain 5 items to trade for 5 candles, you can perform the ritual to unlock old Scholo and THEN right as you get into Rattlegores room, among the pile of bones, there is a Cracked Argent Dawn Commission. Use that to create the new one. You'll need you will have to repair it with 正義寶珠 x1 (drops from Scarlet Crusader mobs in Stratholme) and 真銀錠 x4 (made by miners or alchemists). If you don't feel like farming those THANKFULLY they can all be bought on the AH.

After you make it, IT HAS TO BE EQUIPPED to defeat Grandmaster Gandling to get the 黑暗院長的天譴石. If you don't have it equipped, you'll have to refresh the dungeon and start again. Which you can reset the dungeon and run it however times you need.

I truly hope that this helps you because it would have saved me an hour until I got frustrated and thankfully my priest bank is a hoard so I had my original one there but my best buddy didn't so this is how we got his.

Lost Argent Dawn Commission... If you have somehow lost or deleted your Argent Dawn Commission you can get a replacement at Light's Hope Capel. Go to the Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff ,,the guy in front of the tent.. click on him and a talk option will show up and tell you to replace lost object.
If by some chance it is not showing you will have to do the opening of Scholomance old. you should be able to find the broken ring in Rattlegore room of old Scholomance. in pile of bones on left after you enter room. on the very top of bone pile may have to zoom in.

TL;DR - If you've already done the attunement on your main, you dont need this item. Just go farm.

There's some inconsistent information in this thread. Hopefully this can clear things up so people aren't wasting a ton of time like I did. I believe that the re-aquisition of this item changes based on the progress towards the new attunement to unlock the Secrets of Naxxramas.

Once you've completed the attunement acheivement, it appears that nobody will sell this, and it also can't be re-obtained by getting the cracked version from Scholomance. At least for me, this was the case.

Good news though. As Eddafred mentioned, this item doesnt need to be equipped to gather scourgestones (aside from completing the initial attunement).

Also, once you have completed everything, you don't have to go to the special entrance in the Eastern Plaguelands. It's much quicker just to go to Old Dalaran (Crystalsong Forest) and fly south to the regular Naxx entrance.

I was trying so hard to find this item using a character I've played since 2005. I could not find the cracked ring where it was supposed to be, but then I remember I had my old 黎明聖印, and equipped it and it allowed me to get the 黑暗院長的天譴石 . Hope that helps any old school people with the same problem.

As of Patch 10.2.6, if you have a character who has completed unlocking Old Scholomance and repairing the 裂開的銀色黎明委任徽章 and need one on an alt, you can go to Light's Hope Chapel and talk to Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff ( /way 75.74 53.93 ) and ask him to give you a new Argent Dawn Commission.

I did all the argent dawn stuff in vanilla, but had to open old scholomance to remake the trinket due to not getting another one when talking to Lightspark. Thankfully I didnt worry about the rep as I got exalted way back then thanks to farming the stuff to get into the original Naxx. Can confirm once you have old scholo open and got into naxx to get the vender open, your alts dont need it as I got the buff as I got into Naxx. I guess a few have had issues of not getting the buff, they talked to the vender and got it.

Ok so you don't need to have an Argent Dawn Commission on your alt, once you've completed the attunement on another toon. I'm looking for the ancient recipes for my inscription (on an alt).
I was baffled to find out how to get it. In the Inscription unlearned spells if you mouse over the source it just says Discovery Scholomance or Naxxaramas for different items. Ok, I find it's not a drop/discovery in the instance.
You can hand in 10x Invaders Scourgestones (which I only find in the old Scholo, not in the new dungeon version), to Duck Nicholas Zverenhoff then you will get 1 x Argent Dawn Valor (ADV) token (don't use it) since you have to hand in x 6 ADV token at Quartermaster Miranda Breechlock <The Argent Crusade> to get Archived Crafting Techniques 羅德隆的古老工藝技術. I hope to get the recipes that I want.
