From my count, 7 new reputations were added in Cataclysm. (At this time, I am assuming the guild reputation does not count as a faction). If you had exactly 40 exalted reputations at the end of WotLK, you will be able to hit 47 fairly comfortably simply by championing factions and wearing their tabards.

You will then need to scout around for 3 more reputations to grind up reputation with.

If you have not done so already, a reputation that is extremely easy to get is the Thorium Brotherhood. It used to be much more difficult, but has been nerfed to oblivion since Cata. Buy off about 20 lava cores or fiery cores from the AH, turn them in with Darkbargainer in BRD. It will be enough to get you from neutral to exalted. If you are human, or have extra reputation from guild perks, adjust accordingly. Get to him with a mole machine.

If for some reason you are not exalted with the cities, wear their tabard and go run stratholme. If you're lucky, you might even get a mount.

I have been exalted with both Oracle & Frenzy...yay wasted time it seems. Was wondering why my achievement counter said I only have 46 exalted instead of 47. After reading the above comments, I found out why.

I am going to drop Frenzy to work on getting Oracle again. Can anyone confirm/deny that it will or will not drop my # of exalted rep's on the achievement counter? For example I am at 46 exalted reps. If I drop Frenzy to work on Oracle again, will I drop to 45 in doing so and have to grind to exalted with Oracle to get my 46 rep count? I'm nervous that I would be wasting my time & efforts again.

Does Darkmoon Faire count towards this achievement?

I'm trying to decide if it's worth doing DM at all--that is, if I can any achievement earned by grinding Darkmoon Rep. I'm up for the challenge of Insane in the Membrane (if just because working on Bloodsail rep would cause me to lose access to all the very-important travel points at the Steamwheedle cities).

*edit According to morbit on the Darkmoon Faire faction main-page, yes being Exalted with DMF does count towards this achievement.

People need to realize that this is a GOOD thing that they are updated the title. The title gets EASIER and EASIER to obtain as more reps are added to the game, it is only natural to make sure that the title stays as the epitome of Rep grinding!

This update ensures that random people don't get the achievement as the total amount of Reps increases over time. You should be thankful they are making it so this title and achievements STAYS hard and will ALWAYS require work.

It makes perfect sense.

It was possible to get 61 exalted reputations. Now that a few have been removed it will be a little harder to get.

All Cata and WotLK factions are easy to get exalted with, Vanilla and BC are harder to get since you have to farm or spend quite a bit of gold on the turn-in mats.

The hardest to get exalted in cata are these due to not being able to find groups and most people dont have a lot of rep with them. The rest of the rep is pretty easy just takes a little work. (currently at 48 exaltation's) Other Raid reps are easier to form groups, more people are willing to go. These below are the hardest that i have found.

Ravenholdt (very hard if your not a rogue)
Hydraxian Waterlords (only thing you can get from doing mc for this rep is a legendary)
Darkmoon Faire (Just sucks up your gold more than anything else)
Brood of Nozdormu (very difficult to find groups for. Hard to solo (20 man) unless ur a druid or paladin. Cant be solod that i know of in aq 40, because of twins.)

Eventually there should be 100 reps raised to 100. When doing so there should be a nice reward. Not a mount, title, tabard, or pet. Something really special.

Why are the Syndicate or Ravenholdt still reps? I don't think you can hit exalted with Syndicate and MAYBE only rogues can hit Exalted with Ravenholdt.

A nice reward might be a tabard that could transform into any of your exalted factions that have their own tabard. This would save bank space and the time needed to gather the more unique currencies, such as glowcaps and apexis shards to purchase Sporeggar and Ogri'la tabards, respectively.

Getting exalted with a guild does give you another rep towards 50 reps but once you leave a guild when you are exalted you lost that rep.

Excluding Shen'dralar and Zandalar Tribe, it is possible to have 51 reputations at exalted if Alliance, or 50 as Horde.

The Sunreavers Alliance equivalent - The Silver Covenant, is grindable until exalted. The Sunreavers however is not. When faction changing, the Silver Covenant/The Sunreavers reputation is reset to 0/3000 neutral.
