Really, 10 seconds! I mean come on we wait for this expansion and the best we get from demon hunters is a 10 second demon. Warlocks late longer in their metamorphosis just because they use their power to do it, so why not have it the same way? Blizzard if you want me to tell you more of the kinks you need to work out just send me a beta testing pass and I will gladly accept it.

Hopefully the Metamorphosis will be a bit closer in customization to the druid's animal forms, where your choice in horns, tattoos, blindfold, hair, and skin color have some effect on your form. :)

Metamorphosis will not directly reduce the GCD, but will instead grant a large Haste buff (which in effect reduces the GCD).

This is the Vengeance (Tank) version of the Metamorphosis ability. The appearance the Demon Hunter takes on is more bulky, and includes hardened "scales" and spines.

It appears that some of the details of the transformation reflect your character customization choices. (This includes your Demon Hunter's hair color and tattoo choice, at the very least -- though note that the tattoos appear to always be bright green, as mine were purple in normal form.) I tested this by changing my Demon Hunter's hair color and tattoo style in the Barber Shop, then re-using Metamorphosis to compare screenshots. I've submitted both screenshots for reference.

Functionally, this spell acts like a Warrior's "Last Stand" ability along with generating your resource. Despite the dramatic appearance and activation, it's a fairly basic ability.

Mounting with Metamorphosis causes you to explode (creating the animation that triggers once you leave Metamorphosis), but not cancel it. As soon as you dismount, you will transform again.

Am I the only one who finds this ability lackluster and rushed? While the Havoc one is much more thought out.
I mean just compare the tooltips, for instance. Havoc: "Leap into the air and land with explosive force, dealing (200% of Attack power) Chaos damage to enemies within 8 yds, and stunning them for 3 sec. Players are Dazed for 3 sec instead. Upon landing, you are transformed into a hellish demon for 30 sec, greatly empowering your Chaos Strike and Blade Dance abilities, gaining 30% Leech, and 25% Haste". And Vengeance: "Transform to demon form for 15 sec, increasing current and maximum health by 30% and Armor by 100%, and greatly empowering your Shear ability".
Not to mention the Vengeance form effect is very generic and short, it's your basic tank cd. Then there are little things like the tattoos on it are blurred while the Havoc form has them animated and glowing. Or, unlike Havoc one, it doesn't even hold weapons and fights with its bare hands. I guess the devs ran out of time or something. Hopefully, the situation will be somehow improved in BFA.

Anyone finding (Shadowlands): Hair color is not changing? (Style of tattoo still is).
I'm finding (at least for Blood elf): Vengeance: Hair: Orange, Havoc: Purple.
