There is quest chain in Zul'Drak that leads you to kill Drakuru. To start it, you need to loot Unliving Choker from Withered Troll near of Zeramas.

Solo'd as a 75 druid, feral.

A few spots it gets a little too close for comfort, but easy enough in the end.

When you need to turn in the quest at the end, talk, grab reward and run for the exit of the instance by jumping down the holes. Eventually, the boss will reset, and you'll drop combat. No deaths, and some nice rewards.

Remember that you must have Enduring Mojo before starting.

You can go back to Drakaru in the cage at Granite Springs (16, 47) and he will give you a new elixir.

For Kaze950 i did the same thing, just go back to drakaru in Granite springs get the elixer back if you don't have it then go back to Drakil'Jin ruins and just collect the sacred mojo then go to the brazier and there you go.

Confirmed it's possible to solo as a rogue/druid if you picked up the mojo on an earlier run and got the quest later.

Tightest bit was at the last boss where you have to accept the reward with the guy standing right where the boss is. I actually agro'd the boss but you can accept it quick enough for it not to be a problem. Just vanish out of there.

I wanted to point out that the mojo dropped by mobs is lootable by ALL party members. I had 11 by the time we hit the last boss. Only one person in the party needs to use the mojo to summon in the troll for the 'event' and subsequent complete quest.

For anyone who might be entertaining notions of using the strategy from earlier in the questline of visiting other braziers with the "Envision Drakuru" buff from Zeb'Halak, it doesn't work, sadly.

As a 74 subtlety rogue, I reached the brazier with about twenty seconds to spare on the buff. Drakuru was not there.

As stated above, as long as you have the mojo this quest is soloable by any stealthing class.

As a 79 Moonkin I was even able to get the 5 Enduring Mojo solo :

Prowl to the Spiders room
Hibernate 1 elite Spider, root the other and crush the underlings
Kill the rooted spider
Chain hibernate the 2nd if you need time to regen mana
Kill the 2nd

Now you have plenty of room to free the cocooned Drakkaris and slaughter them (remaining spiders won't link with the trolls).

Elite Spider :

Will use ranged poison attack, be fast to dispel it cause it hurts.
Will run away to its lair at low life to summon underlings (not elite but still annoying) so don't let it flee.
Will slow/root you with some kind of net but you can morph/demorph through it.

Cocoons : Will spawn a shaman or a war-type troll (or a npc for another quest).

Shaman troll : just nuke him to death, he will just spamm weak lightning bolts and won't try to melee you (unless you get too close i guess)

War-type troll : root & nuke him, beware of the shield bash (8sec interrupt on nature spells can hurt ^^)

Be sure to let them die far enough from the remaining Spiders so you can loot them :)

I guess a restau druid should be able to achieve that too ( I actually used resto stuff for the mana regen, since the fight against the spiders was a bit long and i had to heal myself alot)

If need be, you can buy the mojo at the AH and save yourself the effort of pulling mobs if you are trying to solo this quest.

I completed this today as a 77 rogue, based upon all the helpful tips entered above (tyvm). I did pop a couple of improved stealth potions just to be safe, carefully watched my mini-map...and the pats...(remember to bear right past the 2d boss...don't go up the stairs), found the last boss (skeletal dragon), found the brazier down a short set of steps past the boss, used the Elixir, waited for the script to end, and claimed my reward. In my case, I let myself be killed, recovered corpse just inside the instance, flew to the nearest fp, repaired and continued to quest.

As a rogue, you do have to be quick in accepting the reward, as I died in three hits with about 12K health and all leather equipped. Probably could have popped Evasion + Vanish, but I took the easy way out.

Soloed as an 80 arcane/fire mage.

Took some patience, and some luck. I would run through, with mana shield, and get as far as possible with all of the mobs on me and I would go invisible, and run as far as I could and hide behind a crevice or corner where I was sure no mobs would be to wait for the cooldown to finish.

I had Glyph of Invisiblity, and used my mirror images almost every fight. When you get to the skeleton boss, just summon your mirror images, run through him, and invisi by the brazier. Do NOT de-toggle invisibility IF YOU ARE IN COMBAT---if you do the mobs WILL come after you and you will die. You have to wait until your mirror images die (which shouldn't take long) before you exit invisi. When Drakuru starts talking to The Lich King, just stay by the stairs at the brazier you summoned him at until you can finally turn in the quest. By this time all of your cooldowns will be up and just pop your mirror image, run in--accept quest, and pop invisi, and go back to the brazier. Port out.

Didn't die once.

Also, I bought my mojos from the AH before I went to the instance.

Solo'd "Cleansing Drak Tharon" as a lvl 78 rogue. Got the Mojo at AH. Got in close for one screen shot of Drakuru's betrayal - elite zapped me so I had to vanish. First time I tried completing quest I got killed but when I got back Drakuru was still there waiting to complete. Grabbed loot and vanished. 5 mojo is all you need.

This is entirely inaccurate. If you summon without the quest simply continues on with the event and you get no credit. You have to go all the way to version of the NPC you got the quest from. Oddly enough, if your like me and happen to do things the frustrating way, you could clear a H Drak, have the elixer and summon him, go out go all the way to the other side of Grizzly Hills, get the quest, walk all the way back through the cleared Drak and when you get the there he's standing there waiting for you to turn in the quest.

I hate Life.

Actually, he is correct. What you described is exactly what he described. You even quoted him:

Notice he says the trolls at Drakil'jin Ruins, and the Sacred mojo. This is so you can accept the quest. Then you need 5 enduring mojo to complete the quest and summon him inside the instance.

I thought it'd be easier to try to kill Warlord Zim'bo at Zeb'Halak and use that mojo and brazier to accept the quest, but I can confirm that this does not work.

EDIT: However, while still under the debuff of "Visions of Drakuru," I was able to fly to Drakil'jin Ruins and take the quest there without using the Sacred Mojo.

You could also buy the Sacred Mojo off the AH.

Instead of my own ax or sword, both of which probably won't give me tetanus. Then I'll run around killing buttloads of trolls for their 'mojo' and then give myself spirit visions using some kooky elixir you just mixed up, as that sounds completely safe as well."

Soloed as 80 Endurance DK (Imp Rune Tap, MoG, Crypt Fever, Glyph of DS). Just need to have 24k hp so that DS heals for over 3.5k each time. All quest/craft/rep blues.

Only need to kill Trollgore and The Prophet Tharon'ja and some trash.

I tried a lot of braziers with mojos but when Drakuru gets summoned, he doesnt have quest to give me. I don't know where the hell is quest now, or you dont get the quest from him ? I wish i hadnt canceled it before !

Soloed this quest as a level 77 rogue.

I've been given 5 enduring mojo's from my brother, who did this quest before and had some of mojo left over.
Then I simply stealthed through all the instance, lit up the brazier behind the last boss and waited for the dialog to end. Once Drakuru got question mark above his head, I simply used evasion, chose the reward quickly, completed the quest and sprinted to the backdoor exit (vanish didn't work on this boss, I still had agro).

So, fellow rogues and druids, all you need to solo this in like 10 minutes is 5 enduring mojo's, everything else is very easy.

If you have dropped the quest before, you can pick it up again from the brazier at 71.8, 26.1. You have to kill the trolls around the area to get the mojo again but it took about 5 minutes tops with an 80 druid. You can only get this quest at the brazier coords stated as I tried getting it at other braziers but it is not available.

It seems like it's not possible to stealth through this instance anymore. I just tried after my group had cleared the instance, and there were webs on all of the doorways, preventing me from going through. I then exited the instance, reset it, and there were still webs covering all of the doorways.

I find it a bit surprising that no one has mentioned this but...:

A lot of people have done this quest so if you do Drak'Tharon often you will be the only one to pick up Enduring Mojo which you can sell to a vendor for 5g a stack which is a nice way to earn some extra cash every run. So if you don't need the quest reward don't turn it in just yet! :)

Be extra-careful about which Image you're talking to.
This page tells that you have to talk to Image of Drakuru to pick the quest. That's untrue.
This NPC has 4 different summon locations, and there's obviously a mismatch with Image of Drakuru who is actually giving the last step of this quest chain.

I have done this quest (Cleansing Drak'Tharon) but I dont know where to hand in this quest and take my reward. I just collected 5 Sacred Mojo and go back to the shrine and summoned the image but nothing happened...

Soloed as a 80 BM Hunter. Even looted my 5 Enduring Mojos off mobs towards the end.

Cleared Hall of Departure one or two mobs at a time. Useful if you get killed and need to run back through. There were usually 3 mobs in a group, so I'd just freeze one mob, send in pet, hammer one of the other mobs down. Then when pet dies and you get aggro, Feign Death, revive and repeat. Gets easier as the group shrinks. Just sent in my pet and ran through mobs at the stairs at the end of the hall. Head right.

Sent in pet in the feeding ghoul room, then ran to stairs and FD. Wait for Boss to get distracted with intruders, run through Warlord's Terrace to the passage to the spider room. FD. Might be possible at this stage to also solo the spiders and their offspring for the Search and Rescue quest, but I didn't feel like dying at the time so didn't try :)

Use pet again, run through, FD. Run down hall, skirt around Boss, then into the Aviary (bat room) passage. Use pet as distraction again, run through. Same tactic all the way through the Raptor Pens (though personally I cleared most of the raptors to see what they dropped). Go up the stairs to the Overlook.

This is where the Mojos drop. There are a bunch of groups of living Drakkari mobs fighting undead Drakkari mobs up here. The living Drakkari drop the Enduring Mojo, BUT only if you attack them when they are at full health. So the trick is to attack the undead Drakkari when they are at low health and finish them off one at a time using the same pet, FD strategy. This will eventually just leave the living Drakkari for you to pick off at your leisure. Loot them to get your Mojos :)

Clear the entire terrace if you need to, I think there's a max of 11 Mojos to collect. Run up the stairs, either use your pet to distract and run through or clear the mobs up there too. Keep moving up until you see the Boss. Send in your pet, run through, FD. Light up the brazier. Drakuru will appear and walk back up to the Boss. Let him do his thing but stay out of aggro range of the Boss. Once the yellow arrow appears over him, sent in your pet to aggro the Boss, click on Drakuru and hand in the quest.

Just make sure you know which reward you want beforehand. You don't want to be messing around deciding when the Boss finishes stomping your poor little companion :)

How the heck do you solo thru this quest? I'm a 78 shammy and can't get past the first two 76 elites. I've tried every trick I can think of and the best I can do is get to the split staircase on the first floor. I can't even beat one of these elites even with all my healing pots and spells. How is anyone else besides rogues and tanks solo'ing this?

You can sell the any of the mojos gotten during this quest line on the AH or to a vendor. If you got this quest line late or don't need any of the rewards, not turning in this quest is an easy way to make a little more gold when you happen to get DTK in the random dungeon finder.

I was getting weary of going from place to place: kill for mojo, drink the elixer, repeat. But the final sequence at the end of this quest/chain made me feel like it all had been worth it. Very dramatic, quite surprising.

Yes this works, however apparently using any of the blazers around grizzly hills will spawn all the images? because I tried to be smart and use the one close to drak's cage only to realize hey this one won't give the quest, I then flew to the right location and hey the image is still up.

For Betrayal there are 2 different starting quests, I made a macro for them both (Find the quest path you've done longest, if both tell you to do the first quest in the chains it means you need to kill the mobs that drop the quest starting item.):

Thank you! I came back here at 85 to clean this up because I'm an achievement $%^&* and it worked perfectly. I couldn't figure out where to start again after dropping the quest chain and it let me know to start at Truce. Much appreciated.

So I abandoned this a while ago, but I still have the Drakuru elixir. I tried to reacquire the quest from Drakuru at the brazier in Drakil'Jin Ruins, but when he appeared there, he didn't have any quest to give me, just stood there. I also tried checking at Granite Springs, but he was equally silent there too. I wanna complete this quest now (even though I'm 85) to get the Guru of Drakuru Achievement. Any other ideas how to reacquire the quest?

Actually, he is right. The Betrayal questline starts with the choker, while Cleansing Drak'Tharon has nothing to do with it

Just in-case anyone was as curious as I was to know what would happen if you left The Prophet Tharon'ja alive and summoned Drakuru, I did it and it did absolutely nothing, they both acted like they didn't see each other at all. Just putting that out there, you'll still have to fight it since you have to turn in your quest to Drakuru, who will end up standing right underneath that boss.

This is also for those who ever wondered this same thing after they've already turned in the quest and was too late to try it themselves. like I almost did.

I still have the elixir but when I've summoned him no quests were available to accept. I think I completed all quests in Zul'drak before Grizzly Hills...does this mean I'm screwed and can't complete this quest for the achievement? I know I've completed all quests before this and Voices From the Dust which is right before this one.

Just picked this up as i wanted the achiv. Got a new elexir from him at Granite Springs, went over to Drakil'jin Ruins, colected 5 mojos and summond him at the brazier. I could acuire the quest and finally ! get my achivement =D

So I did what someone else said and after finishing the quest and NOT getting the achievement, I went back to Drakkuru in his little cage at Granite Springs, got another elixir and summoned him using mojos. I don't know if it gave it to me at the troll ruins south of Granite Springs where I first went, or east at Drakil'jin where I summoned him again, but somewhere along the way I got my achievement.

It didn't pop up on screen, though, so check your achievement manually to make sure. Pretty stupid bug.

Ok since no on could be bothered to actually tell any one the more important information regarding this quest.

1 you must have the elixir before you go into the instance
2 to get the exlir you need to perform a bunch of mindless quests.
3 you can get the mojo from the trolls at the top of the keep
4 summon at brazier behind the last boss.

If you, like me are racing through the zones, or staying longer in previous zones and cannot be bothered to quest in grizzly hills, then there is absolutely no point in picking this quest up inside the instance because as mentioned above, you will not be able to complete it, regardless of how many mojo's you pick up.

I just used my 85 mage to race my lock through everything..so basically my lock has not quested in the zone, that requires the elixir.

The rewards are pretty crappy anyway, plenty of better greens dropping here and there anyway.

Accepting this quest from the Quest Giver inside Drak'Thraron Keep will give you Drakuru's Elixir. Pick up 5 Enduring Mojo from the adds after King Dred and proceed to kill The Prophet Tharon'ja. Walk behind his platform and look for a braizer, use the Drakuru's Elixir near it and turn in to Drakuru when finished.
You do not need to go outside the instance for any part of this quest. It can all be done in the instance, in one run.

A little help...Have the mojos and elixir. Standing IN the brazier bcz I tried near it and no joy. Click on elixir, and it says "Requires Drakuru's Brazier. I included a screen shot so you can see that I have the quest, I have the elixir, I have the mojos, and I'm standing in the brazier. What gives!

1. Loot 5 Enduring Mojo off the trolls that come after the raptor boss.
2. After killing final boss, go down the steps behind him and use Drakuru's Elixir at the brazier there.

If your partymate has summoned Drakuru and you attempt to use the elixir at the brazier while Drakuru is around, your mojos will be consumed without anything happening.

But don't worry! Just stick around and wait for Drakuru to finish his RP scene. Even if you didn't get to follow the "summon Drakuru" part in the quest instructions, you can talk to him and turn in the quest after his 3-minute RP.

I was very unhappy with the way this instance ends, particularly since my first time through was solo with my L90 DK. I think there needs to be a bit more of an ending with certain classes....

Never really understood why you just don't execute Drakuru on the spot after the lich king dies... Instead you let the whole Zul'Drak saga happen.

Omg, it took me FOREVER to figure out how to summon the guy at the end. If you have the five mojos, then your bag will also have a blue potion bottle, other than the mojo bottle. right click on that.

Good grief... I did the quest line a few years ago and stopped due to other shiny places to see. I came back only to find I had no knowledge of where I was. I am really glad I had the foresight to put my potions in the bank.

When it comes to starting the quest - Cleansing Drak'tharon, make sure you have your Drakuru's Elixir or the 5 Enduring Mojos needed as an added reagent won't do diddly.

Still banging my head on the wall.

This one is in an instance. Wonder why nobody before here gave directions. The instance is in Drak Tharon keep, which is a tunnel between Zul'Drak and Grizzly Hills. From Zul'Drak it's in the SW at 29,83. You go down one floor, and then it's in a passage to your right. Easily to be overlooked.

As of today, May 15, 2016, once you kill the final boss in the dungeon, if you go click the brazier at the bottom of the stairs just past that, and you then wait for Drakuru to talk to the lich king for a bit, everyone can then hand it in right there. No need to go outside the dungeon or do anything fancy to finish this quest anymore.

Drakuru wants you to use Drakuru's Elixir at his brazier inside Drak'Tharon. Using Drakuru's Elixir there will require 5 Enduring Mojo.
