The only timed quest in Outlands. This quest can also join the ranks of other quests that are titled or use items that relate to the real world. I'm surprised they didn't add "With the Fel Reaver Control Console, if you aren't out of control, you aren't in control" in the Description.

If you're a warlock and are having trouble taking the control, try dismissing your pet, that worked for me, and the other warlock i did it with :)

Very fun quest! You must dismiss your pet if you are a hunter or warlock.

This quest gives you a felreaver to control as your pet! It is very fun, but you can get agro on yourself and you may die. If you do just run back and use the transporter and you can get back to your body

After accepting the Q, walk down the slope and you will see 3 Fel reaver control consoles. Click on 1 of them to control a Fel reaver then use the first ability after the attack key to destroy the elementals. Remember that you have to destroy 60 of them and return in 5 mins, not just killing 60 of them in 5 mins. I killed 60 of them in 4 minutes, but then i played around with the fel reaver and failed the Q :(

Holy !@&# this quest was awesome.

The only thing that bugged me at first was that I could hardly see where I was going because the reaver was so huge. This could easily be solved by the addon Improved Camera, which lets you zoom out to 50 meters instead of the usual 30, making your reaver appear the same size as your usual character.

Also, I had run out of infernals to destroy for a few seconds until I had figured out that you need to run up the stairs on the far side of the area.

I was constantly getting attacked up on the ledge by baddies, and the guard that is patrolling doesnt even fight any of them...just roams and doesnt do jack. I died there controlling a reaver =

if u failed quest and mobs attacking you just run west and fall down a bit. Mobs wouldn't follow and you would be able to fly back to consoles.

I think that my quest is bugged,getting fel dude starting to kill them but nothing counts all 4 min. 0 / 60 .What to do .Then i just relog try again and same shit diferent try .

You can run the felreaver across the whole invasion point to the opposite faction's station and kill their questgivers and guards. >=]

I'm using Bongos! actionbars atm and i had a problem with the petbar.
It didn't come up. I checked if ihad turned on wich i had.

Failed the quest, logged out, disabled all mods and ofc it worked.
Got a new petbar with some fun functions >:)

Just tried this quest as of 5/22/07 (After patch 2.1), dunno if I'm bugged or the quest. I can see all my pet actions except the destroy infernals one. (Which is ctrl-4, I have ctrl5-6 but no 4).

Since this quest is impossible to complete, and seeing as how it is the second to last part of several long chains, the chains are pretty worthless due to the fact that the rewards in the next quest are impossible to obtain due to this bug.

Only reason to do these questlines are for XP/crappy gold.

Confirmed as a known issue by GMs on Silver Hand, not server-specific. No ETA on a fix, so no one knows how long this may be bugged.

Not sure if this happened before but while your fighting u have to keep an eye on your guy because they will run up and attack you.

I died after 40, ran back and was almost able to complete it but they killed me again! before i could return it although i got the 60.

You can run right up into the teleporter on your mount w/o fighting. So if you die, res and hurry back.

As a lock I used Demon Skin instead to raise my armor.

Well this annoyed me to no end, but the quest is fun as hell. Died once, failed twice. Cant make the bugger run faster than cold molasses. Timed out on the second run for me, but I got all 60 kills. Blizzard should giv some leeway. But then again it can be done.

This quest is an obvious tribute to the movie "The Fast and the Furious".
But besides it's name I've noticed some more connections with the movie.

The movie, as we all know, is about people driving fast and powerful cars. During the quest players also "drive" (gain control, literally) a powerful Fel Reaver Sentinel unit and it's sprint-like ability makes it fast as well.

Fel Reaver Sentinel as every other Fel Reaver have exhaust pipes so we can assume that it has internal-combustion engine just like most modern cars we see in the movie.

Every internal-combustion engine utilizes some kind of fuel but again Fel Reavers are so big that using gasoline would be damn too expensive and most likely they use a diesel oil (probably some fel-version of it) which gives us connection with the main star of the movie Vin Diesel.

And even though all those things I've said can be just speculations there is at least one unarguable connection - both protagonists of the Q and the movie - Fel Reaver Sentinel and Vin's character - are totally bald!

Useful tip for Warlocks (or have a Warlock mate): Soulstone yourself before starting this quest. That way, if you die, you can save a longish run from the graveyard and easily finish the quest in time. Remember to continue up the stairs too for more Infernals!

The fel reaver sentinel which you're controlling has 4 abilities, besides the usual Attack command (sorry I forgot their names):

1. Launches a salvo of missiles that destroy multiple infernals. No target required. From what I remember, this is the only ability to destroy infernals.
2. Fires something which resembles a railgun on the chosen target. Also damages anything between you and the target.
3. AOE stun that does great damage. Great for killing trash mobs.
4. Speed boost.

Tip: Run around the area quickly, and use the first ability as often as you could while you're among a bunch of infernals. When there are too many mobs on you, use the AOE stun then use railgun on the furtherest mob for maximum effect.

Sometimes mobs will go directly after you and you lose control of the fel reaver. RUN. Run towards the questgiver and the guards will take one or two off you, but you have to fight the rest. Pray none of them are elites. After killing the mobs you may continue with the quest.

If you do get aggro - and you will - run up the hill and into the teleporter, that will wipe aggro - then just teleport back and go again.
Rinse and repeat until you killed all 60.

must be bugged again for Horde, day after 2.3 and all i have on my pet bar is remote control and cancel, i don't even have an attack or anything.

For the love of god don't do this quest if you see someone else doing it.This level 70 guy (I was 69 and going for the final xp i needed for 70) came along and started doing this when I was halfway through and killed a load of my Infernals,so I had to wait for them to respawn.If he had f***ing waited it would have saved us both a lot of trouble.

You will be attacked by random dudes from the camp while this happens. Once the doctor you kill earlier was beating on me (along with a couple little demon friends), once just a couple little demons, and once one of the big patrolling elites with a bunch of friends was beating on me... almost died on that one. Definitely want to start this thing up fully healed. I think the attacks happen when you go out of range or when the reaver dies. At least that's when they happened for me.

As of 2.4 this quest is bugged. It freezes your comp ._. nevermind, I just happened to be unlucky and got bugged. I asked a GM out for help. Its all good.

Just to be clear, the only way to run back if you die that I could find is to go behind the horde camp over the mountains. Going toward Terokkar or Coilskar Point will not get you there (I tried).

I made it on my third try, this is what I did: I took the control to the left, then when I got my Fel Reaver I started crearing the mobs closest to the doctor so no one would aggro me. It worked great. I could control my FR and kill enough dudes and still go over and attack the alliance guard. However, I could not find their quest giver and kill him =/
And if you drop of the invasion point down towards Coilscar you lose control of your FR.

I'm doing this quest as of 2.4.3, and it's got a weird bug. I tried to do it on my druid, and all the abilities showed up on my main action bar. Abilities 2-4 worked just fine, but the first ability (the one that kills the infernals) didn't work when I clicked on it or when I pressed 1 (my hotkey for the first main action button). However, it DID work when I pressed ctrl-1 (my hotkey for the first pet action button).

This quest seems to be bugged for me. Every time I accept the quest WoW freezes... I can try to log in again, but right when I get loaded in the game freezes again. Once the 5 minute quest timer is up I am able to load in no problem, but as soon as I try to do the quest again the game freezes. Very weird issue here.

yep - this quest freezes for me too as soon as I accept it. After I restart wow, and login with the same character, the screen freezes again ....because it's a timed quest. Once the timer runs out, I can login that char again.

I also tried this quest 3 times and it also locked my computer up.

First 2 times I had quest helper on frooze up as soon as I accepted quest.
Third time I disabled quest helper was able to do the quest but after about 1 min of runing quest it locked up on me.

Definitely turn off Quest Helper for this one.
On the character selection screen, click "AddOns" in the lower left, find the one called "QuestHelper" on the list and uncheck it.

As of 3.0.2, QH does not lock up the game when you try the quest, but it does make it impossible to use any of the Fel-reaver's abilities, making it impossible to finish the quest. Note that QH causes the same problem with other quests, such as the chess event in Karazhan and the Teleport This! quest in Netherstorm.

Someone else posted (on the DK bombing quest page) that he wishes Blizz would get off this bombing crack, that these quests universally suck. I agree. God forbid you have a little latency while doing one of these... am I supposed to wait for a better connection every time one of these quests comes along? I'm the one paying to play here. & paying for repairs because the "Leave Vehicle" command would not work!

I was completely unable to attack the infernals at all with the reaver the first 3 times that I tried, could not harm them in any way. 5+ mobs usually the Cataclysm Overseer and several of the smaller mobs would kill my body before I was able to do anything with the reaver, it's health was still pretty high by the time my body died.

On my fourth try the reaver worked fine and it was an incredibly easy quest.

There had to have been an easier way to complete this quest.

1.) Make sure you dismiss pet before clicking on the control consoles.. would not let me take control of fel reaver without dismissing pet.
2.) While you are destroying the 60 Infernals your character is at risk of being attacked.. so you also have to keep an eye on your characters health.

I died twice.. completed the quest after the third time accepting it.

Ugh I hated this. The first time I got all 60 and didn't realize my char was dying so I rushed too late to save her. The second time I got 55 killed and died again. When you're dead it's a fairly troubled walk to the transporter on foot: everything's in black and white so it was hard to spot it. The third time I got my 60 and was racing back towards my body, could see the yellow question mark and died yet again. I'm a prot pally - I can't imagine how quick other classes would die. So I just had the spirit healer resurrect me and I flew my butt back to Nakansi.

I was sorely tempted to have another player or two be a "bodyguard" while I'm out dusting elementals. My advice is to kill all you can ASAP and if you die use the spirit healer then use the flying mount for maximum time usage.

As a death knight I had my minion out and ready to fight. If you are like me, dismiss it.

Remember to look at the bottom toolbar for the moves of the fel reaver you are running, and be sure to be aware of which button you press.

To dismiss your fel and return to your own body right click the fell remote button at the top of the screen next to any abilities you have on at the moment.

Be aware it is a timed quest!

Druids I have two words for you.

Flight form

You can operate the controls in flight form, and I would advise you do it. Park yourself as high above the controls as you can and still have them accessible. Then when you use the controls you won't have to worry about mobs since they will be unable to path to you.

Did anyone else blow 20g trying to finish this quest, dying and using the spirit healer to fly over the mountain? Fun aside, when your burning gold like this, the fun sorta evaporates fast. First quest in which I actually LOST gold. If they only placed the graveyard where you can ACTUALLY reach your body!

Died the first three attemts, very frustrating. Here some tips:

Dismiss your pet
Once you accept the quest, your 5 minutes are counting away (not from the controls it is!)
Keep running around and hit "1" as often as you can.
Also hit 2 en 3 as often as possible, keep running around, don't stand still.
If most of the Deathforged Infernal are destroyed you find more upstairs the yellow broad stairs (but not sooner).
If you have a lot of enemies following you around: you can stun them with "3" but you can't kill them, just keep running, sometimes run faster using button nr. "4".
When you have destroyed all 60, hit button "4" and run back.
Do not leave your Fell reaver costume at the quest giver, it transports you back to the controls and you loose expensive time.
You have to turn in the quest within the given time of 5 minutes.
Do not die. As a ghost you cannot use the transporter.

If you die in this area you can go through the teleporter at 25, 36 even in ghost form to get your corpse back.

You may recall that the quest begins by telling us that the only way to the quest area is via the teleporter.

My 67 Undead DK died while doing this quest and although other comments here indicated that the teleporter (@26,35) works while you're in ghost form (dead), that seems not to work anymore.

I have tried running every which way -- in ghost form -- to find a path back to my body but so far it seems that there is no path to be found (which agrees with the original premise of the quest: the only way is to teleport).

I feel like I have no choice but to take rez sickness in order to use the teleporter.

I. Am. Bummed.

If anyone has better insight about how to recover your corpse in the quest area, please do share here. I spent too much time trying to find my way to my corpse and maybe some tips here will save others a lot of wasted time doing the same.

(Edited to add teleporter coordinates, confirming that I was at the correct one).

I am having the same problem as Fewargo (above). When I did this quest on my hunter back in September 2012, I had no problems with dying at all; but when I did this with my druid a couple of months later, I died and could not get back to my body. The recommended portal does not send back a spirit, only a physical body. Now, I am trying this again with my priest (03/07/2013), and the same thing has happened. I had hoped maybe the portal situation had been fixed. Anyone with any other suggestions, please? Thank you. :)

Just did this as of patch 5.2. Took me a couple of tries as I did'nt realize I would get attacked at the console. So finally ran in killed about 40, saw my health going down so popped a potion which kicks you out of the Reaver back to your body. Fought a couple mobs off, re-opened console jumped back in Reaver killed the rest (60). Mobs were on me quick so I popped a pot again to get back to body. Feigned Death, (Hunter) but too late and mobs killed me. Had 1 1/2 mins left. Ran out of graveyard into town. Ramp at back of town if you hop around just right will take you up and over the mountain. Ressed my corpse real quick and turned in with about 20 secs to spare. You might want to play around and learn how to cross the mountain at back of town before you attempt this quest.

I kill the things just fine well before time's up, but I can never seem to leave vehicle and I always fail... what do I do? How do I turn the quest in? No pets or anything like that, I'm just a mage.

I was stuck in the fel reaver and tried three times to complete. Trying to run back from Wildhammer I could not find a way up when I died the first time.

Second time, I climbed back up and tried to turn in quest but could not get out of fel reaver and could not interact with quest giver.

Third time, I killed mobs, went up by console, was out of combat and accidentally hit 'Esc' key, which got me out of vehicle. Turned in with 10 seconds to spare. *sigh*

/leavevehicle command did not work nor did the 'Leave Vehicle' button on console. Disabling all add-ons and starting fresh cache, etc, did not work.

I attempted this quest several times and was getting frustrated.

What I ended up doing was to take control of the fel reaver then run him straight toward the stairs at speed. Just before I left the first grouping of infernals I dropped the first bomb. I kept an eye on my personal heath meter and it didn't move so I am guessing that by aggroing further away I kept the mobs from attacking me. I kept running toward the other end of the area dropping bombs and stuns when I could. By the time I got to the end I was already at about 50, so I turned around and came back.

I finished in about 2 minutes. When I left vehicle I was no longer in combat so it seemed to work.

I realized something after failing three times: after being dismissed from the control due to damage, DO NOT USE IT AGAIN BEFORE GOING OUT OF COMBAT. If you do, they won't attack the control, they will attack YOU. And it takes an awful lot of time to run back again after you die. (You will die.) Best way to get out of combat without attacking them and taking damage: run towards the quest giver. None of the fel lovers wanted to run up that far.

Get the reaver, go in, run back and forth (also up the stairs), hitting 1 when you can and 3 when you can,as often as you can. Just keep running! When you get 60, press ESC and voila! Died three times before I tried this approach, and I made it with minutes to spare!

This is about the most frustrating quest in the entire game. Nuking 60 infernals (or whatever) is not too difficult if you follow the tactics posted elsewhere. Blizz chose not to give us an obvious button to dismount the gd vehicle which means you end up battling his big brothers until you will likely die (about 10 times) until you figure out that "4" releases you. Not a fun quest and the controls are way stupid. Did I mention the corpse walk is not exactly a straight shot back either--involves jumping up a ridge of hills that block most direct routes to your body. Whoever designed this quest needs to check into that 9th circle of hell (the one reserved for twisted game designers)!

After "failing" this quest five times, i have finally submitted a bug report and given up. Each time, i go and kill the 60 mobs i need to and head back, only to discover that i can neither leave the vehicle ("You can't do that right now"), nor speak to the questgiver. Thus, i have to wait for time to run out as i can only leave the vehicle by logging off and i can't log off while the clock is running. Very frustrating.

The Fel and the Furious

Use a Fel Reaver Control Console to take control of a Fel Reaver Sentinel. Destroy 60 Deathforged Infernals before your fel reaver fails. When your mission is complete, report to Nakansi at Invasion Point: Cataclysm.
