The Demon Warding Totem costs 30g from Fantei, so if you're 70 and doing this quest FOR gold.. it's a bit ironic, so you might want to skip it unless you like the rewards (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10679)

Although the rewards are very situational and in most cases useless, they might be 'vital' for fighting Illidan and other raid boss demons.

You can buy the "Adamantite Frame" from two vendors in the Netherstorm (limited supply).

Price is ~4G, way cheaper than AH.

The Illidari-Bane questline is a series of quests that leads to some cool anti-demon weapons. It involves entering many level-70 instances, so you probably want to do the prerequisites before then. David Wayne is also rumored to be Mograine of the Ashbringer.

U can buy the Totem item, by Fantei on 64,70 for 30g. No other site has this info, enjoy mates:)

The other 2 items,comes from an engineer and a leatherworker from your Guild maybe :)

I received 9 gold 65 silver for completeing this quiest at lvl 70.

btw if your already raiding karazhan and things like or better than that, these weapons are pretty much useless to you might not want to bother spending 27 gold(what it cost me) on the stupid totem.

I was doing this quest line for money but realised that the loss of gold is huge so i dropped it. The dagger for casters is also worse than the dagger from Kz. So its a bit pointless overall.

The pvp staff is 24 hour honorgrind (most likely AV) and does +199 spell dmg.
I'm doing this quest like for fun as I have enough money from doing dalies for Netherwing.

I got the demon warding totem for 28g it is in the lc of shatt the guy name is Fantei and the coords are 64.70 that is where he was when i did it

All this is very nice, OLD INFORMATION. Where have all the brown wooden boxes, with mithril face plate, that were planted out in the open spaces near Mobs gone. They were washed away, but the mobs of course made it back to their places. So 1/3 of Quest: Additional Materials...IE, Heavy Knotedhide Leather has to be bought at AH. More 1/3 thinking from Blizzard.

Took me a while to figure this one out also, but here's how it goes: Kill Overseer Ripsaw, He will drop Illidari-Bane Shard, which starts a quest line that will eventually lead you to this guy and his quest chain. Then he has several quests that count towards your Shadowmoon Valley.

I don't know many players, but as far as I've looked for Heavy Knothide Leather only I found that there is none even on AH, and I'm not in leathering :/ Is anyone could help with that?
I did also find that there is Heavy Borean Leather on AH, but would it account as the same leather so I may complete the Additional Materials quest?

Guess it's better to try with official forum to find a seller?

I'm on a dead server and can't do this quest. No one the leather need on the AH. I don't understand how I am supposed to get lore master.

Well, once again Blizzard developers have proven they're sadistic jerks. The one item that is guaranteed to be available at a vendor sells for 27 gold. The quest awards 7 gold 40 silver. Now, looking on the auction house on my server, the other two items (as I'm neither an Engineer nor a Leather Worker) sells for 2,375 gold and 175 gold respectively. For a quest that is needed for Lore Master. Even if the two vendors who sell the Adamantite Frame has it in stock, it's 4 gold making the cost, on my server 207 gold (cheapest) for a quest that awards 7 gold, 40 silver.

What a savings! (dripping sarcasm)

David Wayne at Wayne's Refuge wants you to bring him an Adamantite Frame, 4 Heavy Knothide Leather, and a Demon Warding Totem.

Description

The ingots that you brought contain most of the metal I'll need to forge the sword's blade, but I'll need a variety of things to create other parts of the weapon.

Let's see, among the things I don't have here are an adamantite frame, some heavy knothide leather, and a demon warding totem. Skilled crafters should be able to produce the first two, but the third is only sold by the reagent vendor in Shattrath's Lower City, Fantei. You'll find him with the other tradesmen.
