Comment by KryonyxYeah overall this feels like they really have no direction for DH. This is just a safe, uninspiring tree that does little to really improve the class or gameplay. It just adds some complexity and passive damage for both specs.Comment by ShirofuneOther than what's been commented, that it's basically another DPS window to manage on a spec plagued with them already, I'd like to mention another thing.

The gameplay of this tree (the trigger at least) involves using Souls. This system as Havoc is incredibly clunky and underdeveloped. There's no agenda nor control in the way Havoc picks up souls or even on how they spawn.

It's a terrible system to attach the trigger to, and the only thing I'd like to see to Souls is either they get reworked to be proper Combat Points, or to be eventually removed from Havoc entirely and Demonic Appetite changed to be non-reliant on Souls (even if it's ignorable and a passive bonus as it is currently)

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with what we've seen so far and hopefully a rework happens down the line. Otherwise one can only hope that Fel Scarred is better than this.Comment by ZtormurI went back to havoc in early Dragonflight, but was quick to abandon it. the immense positional and rotational complexity while worrying about dungeon environments on top of it was just too overwhelming for me. i had the idea of having this nice and easy DH alt like i had in BFA, but boy did i have the wrong assumptions.

i'm happy for the demon hunter players that enjoy its current state, but reading these hero talents just reminds me they ain't going back to comfort and simplicity with Havoc.

Adding another short damage window just makes the hated movement talents even better than they already are since stacking all the damage windows we can together will always be superior to only playing some of them.

It looks like Realz is once again trying to make movement easier to play in a pathetic attempt to stop the masses from hating it. Just like he felt the need to create inertia as an easier alternative to momentum, the Fel Blade reset on VR makes the playstyle insanely easier to pilot correctly. Fel Blading back to the target during the pinnacle of VR will be automatic now instead of having to manually hold FB. Unfortunately for him, the entire concept of movement for damage is a fringe, hated playstyle. However easy he makes it is irrelevant. Having our mobility cannibalized into damage is very dumb design, especially for a class that is supposed to have mobility as a strength. Losing mobility for damage was tried with monks via chi torpedo and it was just as hated as momentum is, except their devs actually listen to feedback and got rid of it.

Back on the topic of this questionably designed tree, I like the blade dance enhancement. However, the chaos strike enhancement is bad. Reavers glaive already adds one unwanted additional damage window and the enhanced chaos strike is also just another damage window. This needs to be changed. Something that buffs our next chaos strike based on how many blade dance slashes hit enemies could be cool. Increased damage and/or chance to strike an additional time per blade dance slash, with reduced damage for each successive hit if necessary for balance, as an example.

The description of the other tree always seemed more appealing to me than this one, but until we actually get to see it I won't know for sure. Hopefully it's designed in a way to encourage the normal DH playstyle over the movement talents. If it is, then I couldn't care less about this tree.Comment by DekardcaiinAll Im hearing is Havoc will do more instant damage and take less physical damage in TWW when it is already the top spec in pvp. Ret has its trees focusing on dots and debuffs that are likely to be dispelled in pvp. Scary times if you dont reroll Havoc for sure.Comment by Conroe0969I honestly think that these hero trees would be so much better if they were purely cosmetic. It would add so much more depth to character customization. Instead, it's another system of player power where there's always going to be a 'best' and nearly everyone is going to play that build. If they wanted to add more talents, then why not add them to the freshly made talent trees they recently overhauled?
