What to do to get this achievment ?
Tried mirror Creepy Crate, But can only mount the crate, Nothing more happends..

This achievement is linked to the quests for Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager. When you solve one of the riddles (by going to the location and looting a crate), the crate at that location you loot and activates a quest is what counts towards this achievement. Right now it only appears that the first clue, "Damp Ransom Note" is active, and the crate is in Zuldazar at 54.2, 54.2 underwater. Buy the "clam digger" drink and give it to the clam above you and the crate will be inside the clam.

The second crate was found without the clue being up yet due to someone having a hunch based on the past event.

Soggy Celebration Crate:

go to Alyx near the entrance of the Caverns of Time in Tanaris
complete the quest line starting with Lost and Busy
go back to Alyx
click though the dialog options
take Damp Ransom Note from the billboard next to her
go to Nikto underwater in the river west of Tal'Farrak in Zuldazar
buy Clam Digger
swim some meter upwards
click the clam Gerald to the north
choose the only dialog option
take Soggy Celebration Crate out of Gerald
bring it back to Alyx

Crate Compilation:

Crate 1: After completing first secret questline talk to Alyx /way 63.02, 50.28, (shes in the big main tent), click through chat bubble, on the bulletin board behind her click the Damp Ransom Note. Travel to Zuldazar (BFA) /way 54.30, 54.53, (under water). Talk to Nikto, buy Clam Digger. Swim up to the big clam nearby, /way 54.26, 54.27, click clam, click chat bubble, turn in quest back at Alyx.

Crate 2: Travel to Desolace (Kalimdor), /way 54.0, 58.1, fly up in the air, drop from a high enough height to kill yourself, run back to coords, loot crate while dead.

Crate 3: Thanks to User Wario52. Travel to Thousand Needles (Kalimdor) /way 66.35, 86.14, swim down into the cave, pick up "Water Resistant Receipt" at /way 64.91, 84.45. It will be on the ground behind a large pipe in the cave. Then travel to Azsuna (Legion) and locate Vashti the Wandering Merchant, she travels up and down the east cost of Azsuna (Legion). Buy the crate for 500g.

Crate 4: Thanks to User Wario52. Travel to Deadwind Pass (Eastern Kingdoms). Go down in the crypts at /way 39.85, 73.62, once down the stairs go straight towards the gray brick tunnel, make your first right, next turn left at the fork, go down diagonally across the dirt room towards the water, swim across the water, crate is in the far back left. /way 22.57, 83.64, is where the crate is.

Crate 5: Travel to Howling Fjord in Northrend (Wrath) /way 29.40, 6.43. Battered Celebration Crate will be there. If the crate was not made visible by another player, use your Torch of Pyrreth.

Crate 6: Travel to Tanaris (just go to where the Anniversary event is). The crate is located at /way 69.18, 68.60. It is under water, inside a building. Go in, swim up the elevator shaft to the 2nd floor, and its behind one of the beds. DO NOT TOUCH THE ELEVATOR YOU WILL DC.

Crate 7: Travel to Hyjal (take the portal from portal island in Org or SW). Go to /way 13.6, 33.5. The crate is next to the post of the trampoline.

Crate 8: Travel to Ashenvale (take Hyjal portal in SW or Org, fly over), and go to /way 47.9, 38.4, on top of the mountain near Lord Magmathar. Click the Potion of Truth, this gives you a 30 minute buff. Travel to Feralas /way 60.42, 35.42. Loot the Mildewed Celebration Crate.

Crate 9: Travel to Nagrand (Outland). Quickest way is portal room (in SW or Org) to Shattrath. Go to /way 35.85, 67.20. Go all the way down to the main circular room. It will be near one of the big pillars.

Crate 10: Travel to Ahn'Qiraj: The Fallen Kingdom (take Uldum portal in SW/Org, fly west over to AQ: FK), /way 40.4, 93.1. Its a cave behind the raid, along the ocean. Head to the back of the cave, /way 40.7, 92.8. Bring a dog pet out (Perky Pug, Scout, etc.), loot the Mysterious Bones. Go to Stormheim (Legion), travel to /way 37.4, 47.6. Place the bones from your inventory. Accept quest, crate credit will be given to you upon turning in the quest.

Crate 11: Final crate. Travel to Maldraxxus (Shadowlands). I find it easiest to go to the portal room in SW or Org, take the Shadowlands portal, fly to Maldraxxus. The crate is located on top of the Seat of the Primus. /way 49.99, 73.81. You don't need to be part of the Maldraxxus covenant.

Crate 3 is sold by Vashti the wandering merchant.
This comes from the Sandy Ransom note, which hints at going to the place where Rustmaul once was in Thousand Needles at 65.82 48.63, there is an underwater cave.
The cave has a Water-Resistant Receipt item, that is signed by the purveyor of Exotic goods aka Vashti.

Note: There is an alternate version of the #1 crate, which is only available if you did NOT pick up the Desolace crate. It can not be picked up on a character the Hazy Celebration Crate was picked up on (so if you've been following this guide, basically too late now, must be done on an alt). It can be found at the following coordinates in Nagrand, also while dead (so drop down without armor on from a great height). Release, then click on the Curious Haze. If you don't see it, you must have already collected the Hazy Celebration Crate on this character, must be done on an alt.

go to Alyx in front of the entrance of the Caverns of Time in Tanaris
take the Dirt-Caked Ransom Note from the board next to her
go to Karazhan (e.g. through the Portal to Karazhan in the Chamber of the Guardian in Legion's Dalaran)
enter the lost crypta a little north of Lydia Accoste (39.8 73.9)
go down the stairs
cross the small room with the well
walk the narrow tunnel straight on to the big room with the 6 crypts
enter the semicircular narrow tunnel a little bit north (33.5 70.7)
follow the semicircle to the big rectangular room (34.6 75.5)
cross the room diagonally
swim across the rectangular room full of water in the south west (30.2 81.3)
loot Dirt-Caked Celebration Crate (22.6 83.7)
go back to Alyx

follow the idol to the Water-Resistant Receipt and take it

buy Sandy Celebration Crate for 500 gold
bring it back to Alyx

The Torn Note is found behind the BMAH vendor (under the dressing stage) which points towards Conquest Hold in Grizzly hills.

So the 6th crate, Waterlogged Celebration Crate, is located in Tanaris. It is underwater and upstairs in the building on the right.

in case you're like me and totally confused on how to even START looking for the notes to find the crates, you have to talk to Alyx and confirm you want the harder challenges. after that, THEN you can see the ransom notes on the board

i found a pair of notes loose on the ground that led to one of the crates, so i incorrectly assumed the rest would also be free floating notes. talk to alyx, accept the harder challenges, THEN you'll see the notes

For new characters that have not unlocked the Shadowlands flight paths.

Crate 11: Final crate. Travel to Maldraxxus (Shadowlands). The crate is located on top of the Seat of the Primus. /way 49.99, 73.81. You don't need to be part of the Maldraxxus covenant.

If you take the portal from SW or Org you will get to Oribos, but you will have no access to other zones and their flight paths, so you can't just fly to Maldraxxus. (Oh and Roh=Tahl Fatescribe Roh-Tahl also didn't want to give me the option to skip with Threads of faith, on my new lvl 79 char). So this is what I've done

Alliance: Go to SW, at the entrance of SW keep you will find the NPC Darion Morgraine with the starting quest line to go to Shadowlands (it's not form the Hero board).
Horde: Go to Grommash Hold, Orgrimmar to find NPC Darion Morgraine with the starting quest line to go to Shadowlands
Quest called: Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons
Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons

Click to accept the quest from Darion in SW, you can skip the intro since you've done it before on another toon. Then you'll get sent to Obribos, from there you will speak to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon. He will send you on a short quest line to Brill, do the few quest's and then you will get a portal to take you to Maldraxxus, at the House of Rituals, click to accept the quest there. There is no doorway/hallway out of the room, you have click on greenish flame portal, when you mouse over it will say hostile, but you can use it to get outside. Click on it and it'll port you outside. Now you can fly to the Seat of of the Primus to go open the box, and also go back to the House of Rituals if you wanted to finish that quest.

When you talk to Vashti for this step, and you plan to work on the Felcycle, make sure you buy the "Scroll of Fel Binding" and "Dogg-Saron" costume from him. It's 25,000g but it looks like you need it for the mount unless you have a friend who has this.

For those unable to access the crate #11 because you did not completed the Shadowlands questline, the easiest way to access it is to use the Dornogal portal in SW or Org, then once you are there, you head for the Portal to Timeways. Once you are there, you will take the portal on your left, leading you to Ardenweald. Once you are there, the easiest way to head to Maldraxxus, is to go to Root-Home and use the flight path there. You can chose to flight everywhere from this FP, even into Maldraxxus. Just zoom out of Ardenweald and select any FP into Maldraxxus. Then you can head to the crate #11 situated in the room on top of the leg of the status in Bleak Redoubt /way 49.99, 73.81. There ya go! You got the last crate! GG!

I can't see any of the crates. I read on the WoW forum that some of the Legion ones can have issues if you have Legion quests picked up, but I don't. I have the ransom notes. I can't see Desolace (while dead), I can't see Maldraxxus, and I can't see the item at the vendor in Azsuna even though I have the receipt. What in tarnation is going on and can anyone help me? I don't have a lot of time to play before anniversary ends.

Hello guys,

I think a lot of you have found that the crate 'Dirt-Caked Celebration Crate' is missing/is not located in the karazhan crypts.

This is due to a phase-out because of quest. For me because i was also doing a quest from Legion, The Grimoire of the First Necrolyte, it was phasing me out and could not see the crate.

For you it may be another quest ( for example the class - weapon ) from legion, check them out and abandon/complete them and you will be able to see the crate.

No crate showing for you? No notes on the board even though you completed the achievement pre-reqs, like Assistant to the Assistant achievement? Alyx not asking you if you want harder secrets to solve? That all happened to me. I even sent Blizz a ticket and got some canned useless response.

How did I resolve it?

I went there on an alt. I did NOT need to be level 80. I did this on my level 73 alt. I talked to Alyx who had every single quest available to complete again, which I ignored. I chose the dialog option for the harder secrets, and then was able to select all the clues off the board next to Alyx. Again, no matter what I did on my main toon, I was never given the option. There is no reason why my main couldn't do it but my alt could. Of note, my alt was not participating in any way in the anniversary celebration quests. I only hauled it over there just to see if I could get this achievement done on an alt.

Yes, I could on my alt. They had to be completed on my alt to finally get the achievements for the 11 crates. How annoying.

I did NOT have to do any of the crates to get the achievement for the title the Detective. Even though they do show up in the achievement.
