Good thing is we will always be able to enjoy Dalaran in Crystalsong as well as Dalaran in Broken Isles. So nothing really has changed. But it will be interesting to see what happens in beginning of TWW. I've been waiting a little less than a year for TWW. Ever since we found out that we weren't getting the rest of the Dragonflight expansion (or maybe they planned it to be unfinished), I've been waiting for Dragonflight to end. I loved this xpac, but not receiving content for the last 8 months of the xpac and it releasing 3-4 months early, just destroyed what Dragonflight could have been. So I'm hoping that TWW will make up for it in a big way. Unfortunately, based on all the beta feedback, it seems like TWW will just be another regular expansion and could be 2/3rd of an xpac like DF is. I hope that is not the case though.
Fleet Admiral Tethys got abandoned just like Outlaw Rogues. At least BlizZard is consequent.
At least the NPCs survive... but destroying Dalaran is still a bad idea. I completely agree with BlueBird, the destruction of places does not add much to the story.BFA could have happened without the destruction of Teldrassil and Undercity (especially since Undercity is no longer mentioned throughout the expansion and Darkshore exists in its own bubble outside of the main plot) .There is no reason to destroy Dalaran other than for the "boom" effect and to say "we learned from the destruction of Teldrassil and Theramore (the Alliance lost its two main cities in Kalimdor), look , we are destroying a neutral city! For older examples, Cataclysm destroys a lot of places in a somewhat unnecessary way to rebuild them 2 meters further away (especially in Kalimdor). But at least this is to better center the quest giver areas in relation to the area.If we continue like this, the (quite laughable) debate around "I don't want Silver Moon to be neutral" will end with "Silver Moon? Haaaa you mean the Silver Moon crater!" after the city was destroyed to "raise the stakes of the expansion. If you absolutely need to destroy well-established locations to create an interesting story... that's not very good writing.
