Would absolutely love it if they improved 2 things;

1. Not limit Visage to a single race and let us pick any of the other races
2. Let us see our equip in drac form... but I'm not holding my breath. Demon Hunters metamorph still doesn't show any equip either.

Trying to save a race that almost nobody plays and if so only for evoker lmao.

My guy, in pvp the racials of dracthyrs are crazy, the mobility can be a life saver in many situation, people are already going to race swap for this advantage for tryharders pvp players playing classes with little mobility.

Uhm... what was the point you tried to make? That this race only has Evokers at the moment? There is nothing else to choose from right now. So what else do you expect Dracthyr players to play as? Scaly rocks?

Comment by Schattensang

At least the Demon Hunter is not forced into Meta for the full fight. So you still have your chosen transmog quite a lot of the time.

on one hand, i love the drachtyr, and i love dragons as a whole, and have been wanting to play as dragons since i started. on the other hand, the transmog resctrictions have made hate my evoker, the armors might be cool, but it means nothing if all you can see is the damn belt and shoulders that match with nothing

transmog restriction is by far the number one reason I'm loathe to play mine, it show so much of the devs' disregard for the race that they did that and at every opportunity instead of giving them better transmog or new options at the barbershop they just encourage people to play them exclusively as if they were elves

No Druids is crazy to me or even shamans. Being connected to the green dragon flight and have their aspect be the Aspect of Earth…

Comment by Jerakal

Yep. They still look terrible without proper transmogs. GG blizz.

Comment by LunarD3ATH

Couple more years/expansions and Dracthyr might become a finished, fully functional race. Seperate transmog next? Maybe even a 3rd gear slot transmogable?

Hopefully in time, yeah. I don't see any extra gear being visible, but we really do need separate transmog for visage and Dracthyr forms. It's an aggravating mess trying to line them both up, switching between both forms constantly to see if it looks as good in one form as it does on the other. It's bad.

Comment by Corpselance

Geewillikers, isn't that funny? We just so happened to only awaken all the Evokers during the crisis - but now that it's been resolved, we can awaken the rest of you as well, hehe.

Another banger lore piece.

Comment by Saruya

I love this! What's the hunter's starting pet?

Confirmed it's a Vorquin.

Comment by Banjoboozle

Considering the fact that the Dracthyr were explicitly made with the potential of mortals in mind, they really need to open up more class options for them. Especially considering that they already made animations for those other classes, too.

Comment by MilkshakeGuru

You learn visage form after talking to Wrathion at the very beginning of the DF campaign.

That works fine if you choose DF as your leveling expansion, but what if you choose a different expansion timeline to level in and never do the DF one?

You default get handed the DF questline now coming out of tutorials. It also just happened on my earthen. It's up to you to use chromie or go to DF. They don't redirect you to BFA anymore.

Neltharion employed many Hunters. He had a great interest in beasts. I think they will find a better fate as your companion than his experiment.

Confirmed, even Neltharion favored Beast Mastery Hunter over other specs!

Comment by memostar

It would have been better if you could pick any race you unlocked as visage form; shouldnt have rushed into .5 patch for this...

Comment by HerrMorgard

I hope that this small starting area will be permanently accessible to Dractyrs and other players like the starting areas of the allied races.
DF was missing a friendly creche, this would be an opportunity to rectify that.

Comment by Steeltail

It would be more lore friendly without this nonsense about awakening after primalists crisis. Just dracthyrs who are interested with learning something new, demonology, light (let them be paladins too!), about spirits and elements that are not trying to kill you (shamans), about balance of nature (druids) etc.

Also gliding should be restricted to lizard form only. Same as soar is.

Comment by PrecursorJak

"Felologist" is a hilarious word.

Comment by Adac50

I love that they’re framing it as the Dracthyr awakening other creches. Felologist is an…interesting term for a warlock.

Comment by potexet522

Felologist and Shikari are... lol. Just call them Warlock and Hunter, it works for Dracthyr Warrior without coming up with Dracthyr Combatologist or whatever.

"Felologist" is a hilarious word.

You know felology is not the study of the fel, right?
