Ok it's official, now they broke the game....
I don't know why, but this is making me laugh. Maybe because, even though I am not reading all the comments, I know what people are saying lol.

It's been nice to get more time away from the chore within.
Guys, calm down, this is clearly a new situation for Blizzard Entertainment, and a big milestone event. I'm sure if this (weekly reset) ever happens again, they will go much smoother!
Every reset it's been extended by multiple hours. What could they possibly be doing? Trading post is not that large of a process.

Seems like Blizzard needs new server tech guys because apparently they don't know what they're doing lol
Dev should say next maintenance will be down for 8hrs. That should save them from embarrassment.
another couple decades and they'll figure out how to finish these on time. can't wait!
