Swiftmend Casts: Swiftmend has a ton of extra effects attached to it which makes even 100% overheal casts very high value. Such effects include Grove Guardians, Reforestation, Everbloom, Implant and more.

Utilize Abundance: Put Rejuvenation out on the group before or as damage hits so that your follow-up Regrowth casts are cheap with a high Crit chance. This is the heart of the Restoration Druid playstyle and most of our healing and mana efficiency starts here.

Use Major Cooldowns: Cast Convoke the Spirits / Incarnation: Tree of Life and Tranquility very often. Pre-plan them before tough fights so that you can line them up with difficult moments in the fight.

You can refresh any HoT that is nearly expired (less than ~5-6 seconds left) with no penalty.

Lifebloom

The Photosynthesis talent gives all HoTs on the target an 8% chance of causing a bloom. This is reason two to stack the target with HoTs.

Whenever we press Swiftmend, Lifebloom will "bloom" 3 times in a row. Swiftmend will also put a Symbiotic Blooms on the target increasing all healing received (and thus splashed) via Implant. Another reason to press Swiftmend as many times as possible.

It is better to batch the Rejuvenation casts together rather than casting them one by one.

Pressing Swiftmend before Rejuvenation will cause your next cast to spread three HoTs instead of one. This is a great way of keeping Abundance active for little time investment.

Start prepping your party for the damage 5-6 seconds in advance. Eventually, as you grow more confident, you'll get away with committing fewer GCDs to each big damage event, but when starting out, play safe. Make sure Efflorescence is down, and that Lifeblooms is active.

Continue prepping by putting Rejuvenation on the group, prioritizing your DPS since Tanks aren't often phased by this type of AoE damage.

Cast Wild Growth as the boss begins its cast.

With Lifebloom on allies A, cast Swiftmend on B, and then cast Regrowth on whoever is most injured. Follow with further Regrowth casts to stabilize the group's Health.

Cast 1-2 Rejuvenation on the target. It's not usually worth moving Lifebloom to a target since you'll lose all 3 stacks.

As the damage starts to tick, cast Swiftmend followed by Regrowth.

Follow up with more Regrowths, and use Nature's Swiftness if required.

Cast Mark of the Wild (our raid buff) - every pull.

Make sure Symbiotic Relationship is active on another player. Any squishy DPS player is a fine choice.

Make sure you have a Flask on - applied every 1-2 hours.

Make sure you have a Food buff - either every pull or every hour depending on the food.

Make sure you have a Thalassian Phoenix Oil on your weapon - applied every two hours.

(Optional) Make sure you have a Void-Touched Augment Rune on - every pull.

Start casting Rejuvenation a few seconds before the fight begins if there is relevant damage at the start.

We have one key ramp sequence remaining in the rotation. Tranquility extends all of our HoTs, so we will want to structure our gameplay going into it. Start this about 15-20 seconds before your Tranquility is assigned:

A 50% chance of casting a single-tick-Tranquility (if you have the Cenarius' Guidance talent - this procs a two-second HoT extension as well if you have Flourish).

All healing increased by 10%.

Rejuvenation healing increased by 40%. Mana cost reduced by 30%.

Wild Growth hits 2 additional targets.

Wrath damage increased by 20%.

Regrowth is now instant-cast.

Cast Prowl before combat to get into stealth. This will also greatly buff our first ability cast.

Open with a Rake on the highest health enemy.

Continue applying rake to different enemies in the pack. When you have 5 combo points press Rip instead.

Once everyone has Rake, cast Swipe (3+ targets) or Shred (1-2 targets) instead.

On a single target, cast Ferocious Bite instead of Rip if the target already has one.

Wild Growth, useless, Regrowth nerfed into uselessness, rejuv useless unless you have Soul of the forest talent, Life Bloom useless, none of these spells are the same spells are what they originally was. Im was amazed they brought back Nourish and Mark of the Wild, i truly was, then only to my disdain, i realize ITS ONLY FOR PVP/WARMODE. Good Job Blizzard You brought back the Only buff druids had, then completely changed it and locked it behind a pvp wall, where its is A useless REDUCTION TO DOT DAMAGE? REALLY! But GJ on removing Healing Touch then bring Nourish back amazing truly amazing.

Excellent guide, thank you @Jaydaa. I would like to ask for more info on the Rotation page on the spells that should be used together, particularly the Covenant abilities. A guildie told me I should always use Convoke with Flourish and I came here to find out more, but didn't.

I’d love to see some guide like this for M+. I’ve just decided to go Resto Druid on DF and this guide was pretty descriptive and insightful . I just loved it!
Anyways tips about M+ will come on handy for the future :)

Ramp timing depends heavily on the specifics of the fight. When Dragonflight comes out we'll have boss by boss advice, but there are a few general rules:

Maximize how often you can cast your big cooldowns.

Try not to was them during periods of low damage.

"Try not to ?was? them during periods of low damage."

I am thinking the word, use, should be used instead.

The guide says it will be updated with a kitty dps rotation for M+ in a few days but its been a couple months from what I can tell, I would love to get that information

For the people wanting kitty dps, the guide writer put one up on their site but it's basically maintain kitty dots, rip, thrash, rake at all times on as many targets as possible, along with sunfire/moonfire. Here's the link https://questionablyepic.com/restodruid-catweaving/
