Things to do in Undermine

Reputation farming with the Cartels of Undermine and its individual factions;

Hunting for Valorstones by killing rares and completing World Quests;

Hunting for mounts, pets, toys and appearances!

Undermine Renown - The Cartels of UndermineUndermine isn't like other towns. There are no kings or chiefs, just cartels. Everyone wants to be part of the cartels. It's even better than being a king, because you can only have one king. But Undermine's got a lot of cartels, and they all need a pal.The Cartels of Undermine

Bilgewater Cartel: From brilliant inventors to explosive geniuses, Bilgewater is home to some of the brightest goblins to ever live. They made a big splash joining the Horde, but in Undermine, they can use all the friends they can get.

Steamwheedle Cartel: The oldest and largest cartel in Undermine. Steamwheedle has had their hands in almost every industry spanning Azeroth and beyond. But these days, under Noggenfogger, it's all about premium-grade alchemy.

Blackwater Cartel: The Blackwater Pirates might be a newer cartel, but they're already making waves in the shipping and luxury vacation industries. They can move any cargo, anywhere, any time, and now it's all nice and legal. Well, mostly legal.

Venture Company: Some might take issue with the ways Venture Co. acquires its resources, but no industry can run without materials. You want nice, find a book club. You want to build something, Venture Co.'s got what you need.

World Boss - The GobfatherThe Gobfather

The GobfatherOnce a source of pride for the Bilgewater Cartel, this mech was a force to be reckoned with in the Demolition Dome. A pinnacle of goblin innovation... until someone forgot to give it an oil change. Now the King of the Demo Dome has gone haywire, running amok and threatening to unleash havoc upon the citizens of Undermine.

Overview: The Gobfather won't go down without a final fight, scattering Primed Boomcrawlers with [Bombfield] and knocking back players with [Giga-Rocket Slam].
At 100 energy it pulls out all the stops, raining down [Death From Above].

Tanks:
Primed Boomcrawlers explode with [Bomb Voyage] when stepped on.
The Gobfather inflicts massive damage with its [Death From Above] missiles.
[Flaming Flames] inflicts damage to players in front of The Gobfather.
Healers:
Primed Boomcrawlers explode with [Bomb Voyage] when stepped on.
[Excessive Pollutants] continually inflicts damage to all players.
The Gobfather inflicts massive damage with its [Death From Above] missiles.
Damage Dealers:
Primed Boomcrawlers explode with [Bomb Voyage] when stepped on.
The Gobfather inflicts massive damage with its [Death From Above] missiles.
[Flaming Flames] inflicts damage to players in front of The Gobfather.

Bombfield: The Gobfather scatters Primed Boomcrawlers that wander for 42 sec. Stepping on a Primed Boomcrawler causes it to detonate early, triggering Bomb Voyage.

Primed Boomcrawler

Reinforced Plating: Reinforced plating reduces the damage the Primed Boomcrawler receives by 99%.
Bomb Voyage: The Primed Boomcrawler detonates, inflicting 35 Fire damage and knocking back players within 5 yards.

Death From Above: The Gobfather spews a barrage of missiles from its rocket launchers, inflicting 45 Fire damage to players within 5 yards of each impact.
Giga-Rocket Slam: The Gobfather slams the ground with massive force, inflicting 25 Fire damage to all players and knocking them back.
Flaming Flames: The Gobfather unleashes a jet of flame, inflicting 60 Fire damage to players in a frontal cone.
Excessive Pollutants: The Gobfather releases hazardous chemicals into the air, inflicting 2 Nature damage every 2 sec.

Undermine Rare Mobs

Undermine is full of rares, with a total of 21 rares to kill around the zone. Most of the Undermine rares are the same as normal rares, but some are zone-wide events that end up spawning Rare Elites - and some of them can only be initially summoned by aligning yourself with a specific Cartel!

When killed, rares drop Valorstones, along with a chance to also drop gear for your specialization. All Undermine rares can be killed for their rewards once per day, and their loot lockdowns are reset with the daily quest reset. There is an achievement for killing 10 rares in Undermine, Adventurer of Undermine. Below is a map with all known Undermine rare spawns and more detailed information about them.

C.H.E.T.T. Tasks

The Concierge, Honored Employee, and Transaction Terminal, aka C.H.E.T.T., is located on the second story of the Incontinental Hotel in Undermine. This machine not only sells a variety of unique beverage items, but also introduces a way for players to make a good chunk of Valorstones for completing tasks around Undermine.

Starting at Renown 13, talking to C.H.E.T.T. and signing up as an employee will give players a C.H.E.T.T. List. Right-clicking this item will bring up a menu displaying all sorts of different tasks for players to complete around Undermine including completing Delves, aligning with a Cartel, and more! Each list contains 8 tasks, with each individual task rewarding 0 Valorstones Valorstones.

Once a player has completed at least 4 of the 8 Tasks, the C.H.E.T.T. List will become a Completed C.H.E.T.T. List. Players can turn in their completed C.H.E.T.T. lists to the following NPCs:

C.H.E.T.T. at the Incontinental Hotel for 0 Valorstones Valorstones;
Rocco Razzboom at the Bilgewater Cartel headquarters for Finder's Fee, which contains 500 Bilgewater Cartel Reputation;
Lab Assistant Laszly at the Steamwheedle Cartel headquarters for Finder's Fee, which contains 500 Steamwheedle Cartel Reputation;
Boatswain Hardee at the Blackwater Cartel headquarters for Finder's Fee, which contains 500 Blackwater Cartel Reputation;
Shredz the Scrapper at the Venture Co. headquarters for Finder's Fee, which contains 500 Venture Company Reputation.
Note: You can only obtain Finder's Fee from the Cartel you're currently aligned with for the week. IE, if you align yourself with the Bilgewater Cartel, the only Finder's Fee option you'll be able to purchase for that week is for them.

You can typically get only one C.H.E.T.T. List per week as a freebie. However, if you're willing to farm for them, you can obtain more by turning in 40 C.H.E.T.T. Card to C.H.E.T.T.!

C.H.E.T.T. Cards are rare drops from Goblin mobs in Undermine. You will probably see a few of those by doing your daily activities in Undermine. Two ways are currently the most reliable to farm them:

Either by doing an old-fashioned mob farm by joining hyperspawn mob farming groups (groups farming beach spawns for Market Research are a good bet) or by running the Sidestreet Sluice Delve - mobs in this Delve are considered to be in Undermine. Hence, they are eligible for C.H.E.T.T. Card drops. If running Sidestreet Sluice, we recommend clearing the highest difficulty possible you can comfortably clear it in, as Nemesis mob spawns can drop guaranteed cards!

Scrap Digging

Relevant weeklies: Reduce, Reuse, Resell

Scrap digging is a new activity unlocked in Undermine, starting with Renown 3 with the Cartels of Undermine.

Once you go through the tutorial quest Trash to Profit and the follow-up On-the-Job Training, you can start doing S.C.R.A.P. Jobs in Undermine. To locate them, look at the Undermine world map for trash icons. Once you find one, head to the area and speak with the NPC in the area, Carlo Greasegrind, to start a job.

Once a job starts, you have 2 minutes to dig through as much trash as possible! Digging trash will give you a new currency, Empty Kaja'Cola Can. As you dig, you will face enemies that will distract you and require killing, hazard that require dodging or kicking, and more. You can use some things to speed up your shoveling speed, such as obtaining special Kaja'cola that increases your speed or even paying off a S.C.R.A.P. Bot to help you dig even faster. There is a limit of 500 digs that can be done on each S.C.R.A.P. Job for maximum rewards - Once you reach 500, you can continue digging for more Kaja'Cola cans, but the rewards from the end of the job will not further increase.

At the end of the 2 minutes, an object will spawn depending on how well you did on the job - A Half-Empty Bag, Dented Crate or Uncovered Strongbox will spawn that can be looted for Gold, Valorstones, and Resonance Crystals.

There are certain increases for S.C.R.A.P. Jobs depending on your Renown standing with the Cartels of Undermine:

Renown 6: Scrappy S.C.R.A.P.pper II: Your shovel rate at scrap heaps is increased, and you may purchase Kaja'Cola X-Treme from Kaja'Cola Dispensers at S.C.R.A.P. Job sites to provide further benefits at scrap heaps.
Renown 11: Scrappy S.C.R.A.P.pper III: Speak to Smaks Topskimmer at the Incontinental Hotel to learn how to find Gunk-Covered Thingy at scrap heaps.
Renown 14: Kaja'Cola Collector: You now have a rare chance to uncover Vintage Kaja'Cola Can while shoveling at scrap heaps.
Renown 16: Scrappy S.C.R.A.P.pper IV: You may now purchase Kaja'Cola X-Treme Mega-Can and Multi-Pack of Kaja'Cola from Kaja'Cola Dispensers at S.C.R.A.P. Job sites to provide stronger benefits to yourself or those around you while at scrap heaps.

Both Empty Kaja'Cola Can and Vintage Kaja'Cola Can can be exchanged for rewards with Angelo Rustbin at the Undermine Sanitation building in Hovel Hill.

why "No. Undermine is an entirely underground zone designed around ground transportation. "

everyone HATES underground, it is so annyoing... and as a bonus, we cannot just fly... I mean

Comment by RageasaurusRex

The quest, When Opportunity Explodes, is actually given by Monte Gazlowe in Ringing Deeps at 59, 76.

The guide incorrectly states that Renzik beings the questline in Dornogal at Foundation Hall.

"You will first reach Undermine during Chapter 1 of the Patch 11.1 questline. All you need to do to start the Undermine questline is to complete the Khaz Algar leveling campaign. The Undermine questline starts with the quest When Opportunity Explodes When Opportunity Explodes, given to you by Renzik "The Shiv" at the Foundation Hall building in Dornogal."

Bliz be like, "they figured out ways to fly too fast even though we put them underground and built all kinds of artificial obstacles in The War Within. The only solution to stop them from blasting through content is to disable flying altogether. No flying mounts, nope, no more, never again. Hope you like cave quests, because that is World of Warcraft now and forevermore."

Absolute non-intuitive clustered mess of a zone...

"Hey, this event just started, you may or may not receive any information on what to do"
"Push this button in your car to reveice a quest... btw, the button is greyed out in the whole zone"
"Dig in this trash pile for a limited time and get a chest. Oh, did we forget to say that 100 things will spawn to interrupt you every second?"

Good guide, but it would be better if you could annotate which rares give daily reputation vs weekly reputation and the value of the reputation for each.

Would it be possible to list a re-spawn timer for the Undermine Rare Mobs? Are they like in Dragonflight one spawned, I think it was, every hour on the half hour. Or am I thinking of something else?

I have to admit, I have been having fun in Undermine on my pally. The whole zone reminds me of New Jersey, around Newark. I bloody hate New Jersey but if there were things to do there that made me laugh as hard as some of the quests and just general vibes did, I might be willing to go back there.

After you are done with campaign, you can take a quest line to obtain "your own apartment" (only use = bind the heartstone )
This place will be located in 39.5, 68.69
