Supposed to spawn when players fill the "Trash Shoveled" progress bar during a S.C.R.A.P. Job event in Undermine (marked with a trash can icon on the map, unlocked at Renown 2 with The Cartels of Undermine, but you can probably attack and loot the Rare without it). This Rare is listed as the source for the Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine mount. Triggered the Can You Believe What People Throw Away? achievement on the first defeat.

Hotfixes 2025, February 27:"Fixed an issue causing Gallagio Garbage to spawn less frequently than intended."

You have to unlock the "Scrappy S.C.R.A.P.per I" perk by reaching Renown 2 with The Cartels of Undermine to participate in S.C.R.A.P. jobs.
There are seven locations with S.C.R.A.P. heaps in the zone, and Carlo Greasegrind always picks one to be active for players (marked with a trash bin icon on your zone map and mini-map).
When someone starts the event by talking to Carlo, players have 2 minutes to interact with the S.C.R.A.P. heap to start Shoveling Trash for up to 60 seconds repeatedly, which fills a "Trash Shoveled" bar for the event and your currency tab with Empty Kaja'Cola Can (and rarely Vintage Cans when unlocked).
Players can activate a nearby S.C.R.A.P. Bot for an ongoing job by talking to the Bot and paying a cumulative 100G. It will then start to passively shovel and help a lot with the event's progress bar when there are not many players around (and you remove everything that will interrupt it).
During testing, this activity was undergoing many changes (probably to nerf the currency acquisition and prevent Idling), and recently, these were the small events we experienced during jobs:
1. Blue Circles (Good): Stand in them to catch Kaja'Cola cans that will slightly increase your contributed trash for the event's progress for 1 minute (so no need to go for them more than twice).
2. Satchels in green puddles (Worst): Will interrupt the Bot and players until removed! Players need to interact, and they better make sure not to run away (to the heap or next bag) before the channeled Searching Trash Bag cast is finished, or they have to repeat and lose more time.
3. Green Circles (Bad): Pineapple drinks land on player locations and will knock them back, interrupting the shoveling. So step aside and continue shoveling.
4. Flame Patches (Bad): Will interrupt the Bot and players, so run over them to extinguish the flames.
5. Discarded Bombs (Bad): Will interrupt the Bot and players while fixating them to explode. Remove them fast with a Swift Kick.
6. Enemies (Bad): If they aggro you and interrupt your shoveling, kill them. (Pet classes can send their companions and continue shoveling)
If players manage to get to 100% on the progress bar, the Gallagio Garbage Rare is supposed to spawn. (the Rare spawn is probably back to full RNG or they forgot to adjust the spawn condition down to 500 trash with the latest event changes)
When the event timer ends, participating players can loot a progress-based reward container ( 0-150 Trash = Half-Empty Bag, 151-350 Trash = Dented Crate, 351-500 Trash = Uncovered Strongbox; these will remain at their place if you forget to loot them immediately). Shortly after, another location will be chosen and shown on your map.
When players gain Renown with The Cartels of Undermine, there are passive Renown perks (e.g., unlocks for buff items from a Kaja'Cola Dispenser near the active S.C.R.A.P. heap), but they only speed up filling the event's progress bar and don't increase the number of Kaja'Cola cans looted. The buff items from the Dispenser are almost pointless now with the increased frequency of interrupting events, and it was never the "twice as much trash" mentioned in their tooltips (maybe +25%). On top of that, the recently added blue circles provide a similar buff for free, for a full minute, and without the Renown.

PTR Notes:
It was a guaranteed spawn when the event lasted 5 minutes and required 1000 trash shoveled. With the first Release Candidate, they massively increased the frequency of interrupting events, and three days later, we got more massive changes to S.C.R.A.P. Jobs. When we managed to fill the bar with 3 players, the Rare did not spawn! So we are probably back to full RNG, or they just forgot to change the spawn condition from 1000 down to 500 trash required.

filled the bar today with a few random friends that were around ... and this guy did not spawn ... this is the first day of the patch soo probly buged or locked until the second week it seems

Either bugged or worlds worst spawn rate.
I have spend half the day trying to farm this and done +20 capped (500/500) attempts without having seen him once.
Save yourself some time and wait for fix or update.
Edit: Hotfix February 27 seems fixed now
Has a low chance to spawn from S.C.R.A.P Heap 500/500 (the event is farmable)
The mount is not a 100% droprate, the rare seems to be daily lockout or weekly

Just killed him at 11pm on Argent Dawn EU. It appears he *does* spawn. I've been doing nothing but scraps for hours and only seen him spawn this one time. We all thought he was bugged.

Got warbound i610 legs and 20 reputation, so not too impressive a yield.

I got First drop of the mount as of 27/02/2025 raid scrap farm at 500/500 spawned a few seconds after, in addition; engine parts, gold , and a pet dropped as well. Daily spawn/kill chance for mount confirmed.

This is easily the worst rare they've ever put into the game for collectors. There seems to be no set way to spawn this mob other than brute forcing 500/500 scrap piles in a raid group, and the spawn rate even then is very low. Then, if you want the mount, you're looking at a 2-3% drop rate it seems.

Awful. Might be the straw the breaks the camel's back for a lot of people.

There are 2 types of awful mount farms: ones that are behind multiple layers of RNG, and one you can only get with group effort (and will be almost impossible to get in the long run). This manages to combine both. Great job, Blizzard!

This is just as bad as Iska's Mawrat Leash and it is going to be much harder to find a group for it once the patch and the expansion ends. If you want this mount, you should farm it ASAP.

Edit: The spawn rate got a significant buff and you can farm it on a single character now. Great job, Blizzard! The drop rate is still 1% but that's fair. Got it after 114 tries farming on the same character.

Yesterday blizzard was live testing this event and the rare respawn, which was bugged for a few days not spawning. During that time the rare spawned with a higher chance after completing the event (i killed the rare with multiple alts in 1 hour). An hour later, new changes came, a lot of mobs started spawning within the event and then we almost never got to see the rare spawning again.

Note that the rare is still spawning when you complete the event (500/00) but the chance is so low that i would estimate is 1/2% for the rare to spawn right now, and so IF the rare spawn you have something like 1~5% to get the mount. Just to get an idea i grinded the event 6 hours today without seeing a single rare spawn.

On top of that there are spots of the event (like the golf and others) that bug with the BOMBS that cant be targeted and stay forever, preventing players from digging and so reaching 500 before the timer ends, Amazing design.

This spawn rate is ABYSMAL. I was in a group where some people had been farming junk heaps for four hours with no rare spawn.

Low spawn rate and a low drop rate is not a good combination blizzard. Seriously this needs to be fixed

Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine is a rare drop from Gallagio Garbage, which can rarely spawn after completing the Trash shoveled bar during scrap events in Undermine.
There is currently a lot of misinformation being spread about this rare, so let me clear it up!

1. The S.C.R.A.P. Bot does not affect the rare spawn. Feel free to use or ignore it, it does not make a difference.
2. The rare spawns once the bar reaches 500, not after the event finishes. Feel free to do something else while waiting for the event to end.
3. You can farm it infinitely on the same character.
4. Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine is tradeable between raid members, and you can loot duplicates even after learning the mount.

This rare is not great to farm and I wish all of you that are after it -a lot- of good luck. You'll need it! <3

Do NOT start the S.C.R.A.P. Heap until at least 3 people are there. You can't get to 500 on your own. It's difficult with 3. Too many obstacles.

Rare has a low chance of spawning after reaching 500 only!
Gallagio Garbage spawned after about the 7th time of actually reaching 500.

1. You can't dig again until all bombs have been kicked away
2. You can't dig again until all the bags in the green circles are picked up.
3. You can't dig again until all the little fires out. Stand on them to put them out.
4. If you are able to dig, DIG! Don't worry about killing the adds unless you have too.

Once you are Renown 7, you can buy the Kaja'Cola X-Treme for 40 silver from the machine next to the heap which doubles your dig rate for 20 seconds.
Once you are Renown 16, you can buy the Kaja'Cola X-Treme Mega-Can for 1 gold from the machine next to the heap which doubles your dig rate for 1 minute.

I've read some comparing this mount to that of Iska or Karokta but, in reality, IT IS A MILLION TIMES WORSE for one reason in particular: YOU NEED A GROUP (even quite large, 10+ at least) to spawn the rare. If you add a) that Gallagio is really rare (the last spawn took EXACTLY 2 hours and 21 minutes), b) that the mount has a 1% chance anc c) this is a "no camperable mount" it all makes this the MOST ABSURD mount ever put into WoW.

This is a SERIOUS LACK OF RESPECT towards the players and Blizzard continues not to listen to the requests of the players who pay the subscriptions (and their salaries) and not to mention all the "packages" and promotions with mounts, toys and pets at crazy prices taking advantage of our desire to collect.

As far as I'm concerned, after 20 years I say enough: I quit.

My advice to everyone is to head over to the WoW forums and voice your displeasure at the implementation of this awful rare. It's the only way Blizzard will hear you. There is also the WoW Reddit. You can also put in suggestions in game via the game menu: Menu > Support> Submit Feedback. Have at it!

Spent 5 hours in a 40 main group trying to spawn it - nothing. This is the worst of the worst mount farms Blizzard has ever done. It's like they were asked if they wanted the mob to be rare or the mount to be rare, and they said YES!

I farmed in 40 Man Groups before the Hotfix to Spawn Rates of Bombs and Oozes and in 20 Man Groups after. Got the Mount to spawn in under 2 hours everytime. Got my Mount at the 3rd Kill today. I saw 0 Mounts before, 2 in the 20 man group today.

whats next? dont give robot 100g to have better spawn?

Did a 20 man raid and saw the rare spawn with the mount dropping for someone. Later did a 40 man raid on my alt and saw the rare pop again. Mount dropped for someone in that group also. rare didnt take too long to appear, around 1 hour of farming SCRAP events.

Ive killed this guy at least 4x without seeing it drop once in raid/farm group and it appears to have a daily lock out for loot unless you count the grey coin you get after the first kill. If they are going to make the mount a ridiculously low drop rate, they need to at least increase the spawn rate or get rid of the daily lock out for loot. The ridiculously long spawn and RNG style spawn time in conjunction with daily lock out and low drop rate is awful. Also...doesn't even look as good as the rep one, looks school bus yellow not gold.

For spawn time references for whomever may find it of value, I've seen the time range from 30mins to a 2-3 hours. On the time it took a few hours, I missed the kill because I went outside to grab my takeout order from the door, and was away for literally 2 minutes. I joined a second group right after wondering if it would spawn on other realms in same time frame, it immediately spawned in that next group and also had a back to back spawn in that same group. Not sure if there is a rotational time element or event factor here explaining why it can take so long then have multiple spawns around the same time frame.

I was able to loot this from my 2nd kill on the same toon for the day from this rare. No need to keep swapping characters as it will drop. Not sure if this was a bug or not, but thought I would share!

You can absolutely loot this rare several times per day. I looted him four times and got it on my fourth. The first time gave me some blues, times 2-3 gave me a grey item and on the fourth I got the mount. I 100% swear to this!

This was my day: wake up at 7:00, work until 18:00, go home and have dinner. At 19:00 I form a group with 19 other wretches and start shoveling *!@#. At 23:00, tired and pissed off at the world, I go to bed WITHOUT KILLING GALLAGIO because it hasn't spawned even once in 4 !@#$ing hours. Yes, Blizzard calls this "fun" and I pay a subscription for this crap. Congratulations!

there seem to be something weird since the hotfix : if you are too many on the event (idk how much) the rare just never spawns.
We were farming with like 5/6 people, it spawned everytime.
I opened a raid group we were 20 (maybe a bit more with ppl on my server outside of the group) it didn't spawn any more for like 30 min.
I kicked everyone (yeah i know, but to confirm theory and remove ppl from the serv) and it spawned every time again.

No idea what's going on though.

TLDR : don't farm in raid group, it won't spawn (or rarely?)

Drop on the 3d try without changing character. Just farmed kaja kola for pets and kill Garbagio few times. 3d attempt was lucky

I came on here to say that even though you have killed and looted the rare for the day, he can still drop the mount. It -IS- tradable with anyone else who participated in the SCRAP event. I'm not sure if they increased the spawn rate of this guy but it sure seems like it into day three of season 2.

If you are on an EU server and don't see any "scrap heap" groups in the group finder, make sure you click on the "filter" button and select all languages. For me only English and Portuguese was selected by default and a lot of times I did not see these groups...

They must have fixed the spawn rate because he spawns almost too often now, but that's a good thing if you're farming the mount. The mount isn't part of the daily lockout so you can farm him all day for a chance at the mount. Got mine on 52 attempts.

It is just barely possible with 2 players if you are focused on digging and resolving issues to reach the Gallagio Garbage, but only if you spend the 100 gold on the S.C.R.A.P. Bot to help immediately upon starting the heap, otherwise I would encourage 3 players to reach 500 because it is difficult depending on the interruptions that trigger and make sure you get 1 in every 3 cans of Kaja'Cola thrown by the Kaja'Cola Dispenser (the blue circle on the ground) which are thrown regardless of purchasing from it to get a 30% dig speed and movement buff. The rare only has around a 30-50% chance of occurring when the heap reaches 500 and will only spawns upon hitting 500.

The 3 events that makes the heap untargetable can be resolved as follows:

Wiggling Bag - Help the cat out of the bag by clicking to open, the last player to click gets a cat on your head buff for a few seconds with an actual cat... on your head.
Discarded Bomb - Just kick these as fast as possible, and help others because not everyone will know they have to kick them as many have been running from the bombs.
Fire - Step on the fire, this is the fastest to resolve, especially if you have the Kaja'Cola speed buff.

Gallagio Garbage can drop both the Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine and the Gold-Inlaid Jetpack after the first kill of the day, when it no longer counts as a rare, and multiple times per character per day. These items are tradable to all who tagged him on that particular kill.

Each tier achieved while digging will give you more Market Research and a higher chance for a Vintage Kaja'Cola Can from the end chest. You also have a chance of Market Research and a Vintage Kaja'Cola Can from every pick at the heap, although the chances are rather low, especially for the cans. This is still the fastest way to earn the Darkfuse Lowdown Coat by earning an easily farmable amount of guaranteed Market Research, and often in doing so you can and likely will get multiples of the unique drops from the Gallagio Garbage, so if you do please offer these to other participants :)

After 220 kills (210 were multiple in the same day) with my main I started farming only the daily first kill with my main and alts and got it on the 34th kill.

Can confirm that mount is still dropping with 11.1.7 - dropped today (2025.08.04) while in a raid group.
It was the 50th kill of the day - so no daily lockout!
Estimated more than 150 kills needed.
